No one is ever around to help. I'm always searching for someone who can answer questions regarding flowers, bushes, plants and trees. Hasn't happened yet. So we decided to shop elsewhere. Sadly this is just another example of the mass number of Beaufort County businesses that practice absolutely zero customer service. We've never lived in an area where you as a paying customer have to chase down and repeatedly call a company, a service provider or a store. First I have to say lowes is NOT for the contractor! They make it near impossible to purchase on a lowes account. They have to make a copy of your drivers license every time you use your account which makes the line extremely slow to move not to mention they only have one person working the checkout line. The Front End Clerk was very rude when assisting us with a return. The FE clerk didn't even have any customer service acknowledgement to address my husband and I. Then she didn't even want to hear what we had to say. Then she ask me to give her the Item # of the product that I am returning. That is her job to do that which was on the receipt. She didn't even have any conversation about the 2 items being return. Just said this is the amount that is returned on the credit card. Came in for some wood for a project, the store was very under staffed but had to take time and write a review about Dex. The sweet cashier (didn't get her name) paged help for cutting wood twice and when no one came over Dex told us he had never used the machine but would try. In the end he wasn't success due to a pin required but he had help paged again (that never showed). He was so kind, honest but willing to help! You always hear about folks (women especially) not able to get help in hardware stores or being talked to in a certain manner but Dex was the example of the nicest human in lowe's willing to help! read more

Employment: I went for an interview and was told I would receive a phone call the following Monday. They was waiting on a previous hire that took vacation and she needed to decide what she wanted to do before I could move forward. The place is a joke, and you have management that doesn't know what CRM is? They been there for 7 years. My husband is a disabled veteran and has on 3 occasions had problems with this store. He had to load his own purchased items into his truck, he purchased a dryer, brought it home and installed it himself and was charged a delivery fee, was told by employee at this lowes they could order knobs for our stove there. What we received were 2 plug in lamps. When he took the items back, he was told, after waiting 45 mins HE would have to return them his self. Upon attempting to do this, there were no options for a REA form that we had to have to return them nor any option for a customer service rep. In calling Stephanie, manager, at this store, she said they don't do this and we had to call manufacturer. WHY DID THE EMPLOYEE ORDER THEM IF THAT IS NOT YOUR POLICY? YOU as a corporation need to bring in a professional customer service company to train your employees. I am not using the word "associate" because they don't "associate " with anyone. They disappear when you need help or say this is not my area. We want these items ordered through this store returned. My husband is now having to go to UPS to attempt to get help from them. We want the 81.00 delivery fee returned to his card along with the OVER 200.00 charged for the lamps we received. As we are tired of constantly having to do your stores job as far as CUSTOMER SERVICE, we will be sending a copy of this and previous complaints to the BBB, YELP, and newspapers in the area. I've kept my story to myself for a few weeks now, but given Lowe's corporate's inability to rectify this situation, I am making my experience public. A few weeks ago, I bought an Ego mower from the Lowe's in Beaufort SC. It didn't have a battery charger, so I took it back to the store and they issued a full refund (they don't do exchanges anymore) and I bought another one. I was so pleased with the product, I went back the following weekend and bought the string trimmer and leaf blower. As luck would have it, the leaf blower had a Ryobi battery packaged with it. I went back to the store with my receipt. After a short exchange with the customer service associate who said she had seen this before, I was told that the store manager wouldn't be issuing me a refund because it was a manufacturer defect and I needed to get an RA number from Ego before Lowe's would take my return. Ego does not issue RA numbers to end users and Lowe's knew that. At this point, the store manager, loss prevention associate, and department manager came to customer service to talk to me. I had no opportunity to state my case. The store manager had made up her mind before she ever spoke to me. What's most maddening was that at no point would anyone tell me what their words really meant! Everyone there knows what you meant, I know what you meant, and you know what you want to say. If you think I'm lying, tell me you think I'm lying and we can go from there in honesty and openness! Show me the respect of being genuine with me. Later that night, I was called by an associate from the Beaufort store and told that the manager was having a bad day. To date, I haven't received a call from Lowe's, though I was promised one. See, this is an indictment against the awful customer service culture. No longer is the customer treated with dignity. The burden of proof is placed solely on the shoulders of the consumer. I hope Lowe's gets this resolved. I used to feel welcomed at the store. I've spent tens of thousands of dollars at our store. Now, I feel betrayed. I avoid going to the store. read more

What a disaster! Nine months trying to get countertops paid for and installed and it is still not complete. Over 30 emails asking for help. Not even kidding - 10 hours on hold and being hung up on accidentally. Conversations with the manager, conversations with the staff - all saying they will get the estimate for me to pay so the installer can schedule a time. Not one person, has been effective. The phone has been ringing for over seven minutes and no one has answered it yet, not even to put me on hold. Visited the Beaufort store on June 27 and picked out materials for delivery. One item was flooring a rug. Delivered most items on August 2nd; the rug was not included. The delivery guy said they told him right before delivery that it was not available. Stopped in to get some plexiglass cut for a HOME IMPROVEMENT and after searching far and wide someone to help me the dude told me he couldn't because that was above his pay grade and I had to come back on Monday when the guy who was good at cutting the glass was working. Imagine that big ole store and them only having one guy who can do the cutting. The station where they perform the cutting didn't have any signage that stated they had certain hours.. Worst delivery customer service I have ever experienced. I have been waiting almost a month for my refrigerator to be delivered. I have left a message 2 times. I have spoken with Angie and it was to be delivered today. I have sat home all day and NOTHING. This is the 3rd day I have sat at home waiting on Lowe's to delivery my much needed fridge. I call and I get transfer to a phone that continuously rings and is never answered. I call the store asking for a manager and same scenario. The endless ringing phone. I went three different times in attempt to get a Trim+Go Blind cut. The first two times I went in, no one was working in the section, and no other employee could operate the machine. Today I've been waiting for 20 minutes and have had several employees walk past, some employees have talked to me and I explained to them what I needed done. I pressed the help button and no one came for a long time. Im still waiting but an employee said he could help me and he'd be right back(it's been 5 minutes and he's not back). Another employe, who didn't even have his vest on, but he had been helping other costumers at the counter, so it is confirmed he works here, finally helped us. This task only took 5 minutes so I don't think it's that much to ask for help. This Lowes is severely understaffed and I would not recommend going, I would rather drive down to Bluffton and go to Home Depot. read more

July 13, 2022, I did NOT receive the service expected. Yes, the workers are friendly but none of that helped receive the products I paid for. The first delivery was to be a Maytag washer and dryer but the dryer was damaged. No one ordered another, the service people on the phonesaid it was in Charleston and the delivery people had control. After several visits to the store, someone from the store ordered another dryer on a store gift card without our consent and had it delivered with an additional cost of 35.00. So we got the dryer but it does NOT dry. We are told we only had a window of 48 hours to find the defect or the store would not replace it. Instead, we were tossed into the large number of people who bought Maytag from Lowe's and are not satisfied with poorly built dryer. If there is a store manager available at the Beaufort store, they are not making themselves available. At this point after so much inconvenience, I am afraid of making any further purchases. read more

When you find the right person to help you it all goes smoothly. Ordered over 5,000 in appliances alone for a new home and they were very helpful. I could tell they are short staffed but they made sure to be sweet and respectful. I ordered fans, faucets and they will deliver all of it with my appliances and no extra cost! Will go back! Lowe's is frustrating. This particular location is pretty good, they have decent inventory and the staff is generally quite friendly and helpful (when they actually have staff). That said, like all Lowe's, they suffer from "corporate syndrome". The 48-hour return policy on major appliances is absolutely insane; there is no way a normal person, with normal use of a dishwasher / water heater / dryer / etc, would be able to identify a defect or damage in this artificially short period of time. It didn't used to be this way, but they shortened it to try and drive customers to a) buy the extended warranty, or b) sign up for Lowe's credit card (which is also the only way to participate in their rewards program). This is such a bone-headed decision on their part: check out the reviews here on Yelp, over on Google, and elsewhere: since they changed this policy their reviews are mostly all 1-star. And rightfully so. Why would Lowe's corporate continue to damage their brand like this in pursuit of short-term 'up-sales'? Such a shame. Until they change this ridiculous policy we will continue to avoid Lowe's for major purchases, just like thousands of other dissatisfied customers. read more

Dealing with Beaufort Lowe's has been a nightmare. I have spent over 2 hours on hold, transferred to delivery and after a good length of time was cut off. I purchased a cabinet this Monday for delivery and put together. They gave me a delivery date of Wed. and then cancelled it. it was in a bay to be constructed but they didn't get it done. I asked for them to deliver it on Thurs. and no response. I told them a Saturday delivery was problematic. Today they sent an email saying they would deliver on Saturday between 6:30 am and 8:00 pm. I had a variety of commitments on Saturday, but in order to finally get delivery, my daughter has to sit here all day Saturday waiting on them. This has delayed ordering of other pieces that now won't be done until next week. All this time I can't move in my garage because of stuff to go in cabinets. I am paralized getting this job completed. Never will I ever use Lowe's to put together anything... delivery and construction added $100. I am disgusted with the service read more

Horrible customer service! I placed an order online and they told me that it was ready for pickup. I drove 45 minutes to the store only to have them tell me that it was in the store but they could not find it. I went back 5 days later to pick up my order, this time they told me that the order haven't even been shipped to there store yet. I waited a few more days and checked again but still nothing. I decided to cancel the order and go with another product. By this time it had cost me $2500 in delays on my job. We ordered a washer and dryer that was on sale on the 28th of February. We scheduled delivery on March 31st because that was when our home would be ready. Within a week, they had canceled our washer order because they didn't have any in stock. They did not call us or even look at the delivery date. We had to call customer service and re-order the washer. This morning, on delivery day, they called and and stated that they couldn't find the dryer and had no idea about the washer. It was then that we found out that the washer was coming from a different store, even though they had a whole month to have another washer in stock. Took us all day of calling the complaint line in order to have them locate it the dryer. They said they would have it delivered TODAY, so our daughter WAITED since 9am for them to deliver it, yet at 7:30pm, they called back again stating that they will NOT be able to deliver it. In order for us to actually get it to our home, we will have to make other arrangements and go pick it up because we I can't guarantee when it will actually be delivered. On top of this, when the washer was finally delivered from the Rincon store, they could not hook it up because we were not informed that the hoses or electrical cord was not included with the washer or dryer. This whole experience has been a nightmare. I would not recommend ordering from Lowe's if you want anything delivered. read more

Ordered 7 sections of white vinyl fence and a 4 foot gate. Took 4 weeks to get it in and when i got ready to install the gate it had the wrong upper channel. Called the vender and even though they were the ones that put the wrong channel in the gate kit I had to go through Lowes. Went to Lowes and it's been 4 weeks and still no new upper channel. So i have a fence with no gate. Great product but crappie service. read more
