Inventory is great, but this review is about the outstanding staff. Staff in every department all possess knowledge of their field and are happy to share it. When I purchased a new door and frame, the young man gave me clear verbal instructions and offered some helpful tips, one of which avoided a good bit of frustration. In plumbing, the Lowe's staffer offered assistance without my asking, and when I described my problem, he found a part to better solve my problem. I ordered a window AC unit for pickup. The cheerful young woman in customer service (Ms. T) walked the length of the store to fetch a flatbed when I asked if any were available. (I would have been happy to be directed to where they were. Over and above.) A moment later, a janitor (Mr. J.), of his own initiative, politely jumped in and loaded the unit in my car. The woman working in tools found me the exact drill bit I needed for a specific problem. Paint has also been a good source of knowledge. Often DIY customers don't know the name of part, but Lowe's staff seem expert at deciphering the problem and finding the right solution. Every interaction with a Lowe's employee could have been filmed for a Lowe's video advertisement. The Lowe's website seems to have lost the option of commending employees. Went to Lowes in Bryan to purchase a new stove (double oven). The appliance man said they did not carry them and that I would have to order one. He looked on line and said they only carried one stove. It just happened to be the one that cost $2,700. I had just looked on line before I went to the store and there were some starting at just over $1,000 on sale. I told him but he still said it was there only one. Another man walked and asked him a question and he was rude as hell to him. Just gave him no real answer, just kind of smarted off to him. Guess where I did not buy a stove? Welcome to Lowes. I don't know what is going on with this Lowe's location... and maybe the holiday season is just making everything a bit crazy. But many items were in the incorrect locations and it was difficult to get help. Definite errors when items were scanned at the cashier - which fortunately I was on the lookout for and able to catch. But then that ended up being a whole time-killer as they voided the original prices and sent someone to verify the posted prices. Hopefully after the holiday season things will improve... read more

Horrible customer service. Walked around the store 3 times with associates that don't know where anything is. All I wanted to know if they had a automatic cattle gate opener. They sent me in a wild goose chase to this person in that area or over there with someone else. I finally said screw it and left. I always have preferred Lowe's over Home Depot but the Lowe's Bryan store is the worst store in general that I've been to in a long time. I will definitely drive out of my way to avoid. We are doing a kitchen renovation roughly $50K. We paid $75.00 to Lowe's on August 18 to come out and look at the job and give an estimate. The design specialist and one contractor have come out. We ultimately asked four different companies for job quotes and have received three from other contractors but still have not received the estimate from Lowe's. Today, Oct 01 our renovation project started. I am very disappointed in Lowe's especially since I had to pay them to come to the house and then completely blow us off. They have nice shiny things to sell but I do not recommend using (try to use) them for the work to be done. read more

I only go here when looking for lumber... I give them cudos on always having a better lumber selection than their big competitor - we all know who that is. But I have to stop with 3 stars because I always find the tool selection to be a little lacking, and also the light bulb selection. read more

Worst bussiness i had to deal with, ever. Nightmare, store assistant manager and store manager the worst. Have you ever tried to call them??? It takes hours to get someone on the line. Waiting for them.to deliver some patio doors for 2 weeks now. They told my installers they will deliver it first thing in the morning, they told me between 3-5 and they got here at noon when nobody was here. Because of them had to postpone installation. Went to the store, talked to assistant store manager AND the store manager, they both told me it will leave the store ar 8AM this morning. I drove to the house( different city) got here at 8 , called them at 10 to check where they were and i was told my delivery will be the last one today and they will be here between 12-4. Its 15:13 right now and they are still not here. Ever, never in my life I will purchase anything from that store. Still cant believe this is actually happening. I recently went in to shop for new counter tops for my kitchen remodel. I somewhat knew what I wanted and knew what I definitely didn't want. I explained to the man that I did not want laminate but I also did not want to spend the money on Marble. I explained I wasn't something durable that I did not have to seal once a year and I wanted a good lasting counter top that I did not have to give up my first born form. The gentleman there was rude and extremely condescending and kept trying to point me to the laminate counter tops they sold in the back. After several times of telling him I did not want that, he threw his hands in the air saying he couldn't help me! If you want counter tops for your remodel, I suggest you say far away from this place! read more

Could use some more floor employees to help customers. I frequently have to use my cell phone in them store to summon help. There is also a problem finding things in the store. Somebody needs to get control of the store's inventory and make sure the computer database is accurate and current. Checkout at lumber often results in a customer pileup with large carts carrying bulky items running into each other. The store has also fallen into the habit of clogging the isles with products that seem to be put of place. Carts bump into them. On the plus side, their garden center is the best in the area. It would be even better if the store would hire more checkout people in the garden area during spring planting time. read more

I have frequented this location in the past few weeks. Very rarely did I get offered help without asking which I had several tell me straight out they didn't know and walked away. They do have a few mega stars working there that salvage the overall experience. read more

I spent an hour trying to find particular tiles for a remodel project. I did not see one employee during that time frame and was not approached to ask if I needed assistance. This is unusual for Lowes, but my second poor experience in a few weeks at the Bryan location. read more

terrible experience, i called and asked very clearly to speak to a manager, and then was connected to someone who had NO idea what they were talking about and then later i was told that my time had been being wasted by an associate, NOT what i asked for. i have a very busy schedule, and they wasted 45 minutes putting me on hold and claiming they were transferring me to someone who knew what they were actually talking about. when i was finally connected to a manger, i was very disappointed in his tone with me and his demeanor, he interrupted me, multiple times, and in the end i did not even get an answer to the original question that i had been asking for nearly an hour. would NOT recommend this store. read more
