My main complaint is that NO ONE is answering the store's phone. I wanted to pick up my order one day after the date they said it would be cancelled. So now they stand to lost hundreds of dollars when the order is cancelled. Guess they can afford it. P. S. Awful experience! Item we ordered way back in May for summer time was suppose to arrive in May fast forward to July I had to call corporate to see where in the world our item was they apologized for delay and gave me option to have it delivered to my house instead of store pick up. I said sure that would be a nice gesture for the two month delay well you guessed it nobody at the store had any knowledge of that but they did try and told me it would be delivered Sunday between 8am-8pm so like an idiot I waited all day and it never got delivered. Management said that they had no record of this but even doh two employees confirmed delivery time over the phone with me... The worst service EVER. ISst we called to try to get someone on the phone to make sure they had this item in before we drove a half an hour. While driving no one picked up the entire way- AND after 20 min the called dropped me. Then we get there item is not in. I told a girl that did they know their phone lines aren't working and she says yeah we get lots of complaints. And then she turned to walk away for me. We got there and the phone lines were very low, ringing and blinking but still they didn't pick up. Not worth your time. In my opinion and I'm taking my business elsewhere for sure. read more

I had two purchases to have installed; a new sliding glass patio door (replacement) and a picture window to replace an existing window. I was reluctant to pay for everything up front, but that is their requirement so I went ahead. The patio door replacement was on time and installers they sent did an excellent job. On the other hand, I am still waiting for the window as of Sept 10, and these were ordered in May. I was told a month ago that Cotati received a defective window to install and that they were sending it back for a replacement. Still...nothing. Based on this experience I would not order any custom sized item from them. read more

If I could give minus stars I would. I bought and had a gas range delivered from Lowe's Vallejo, and at first the delivery guy would not install the anti-tip device, which is included with delivery, I had to insist he do it. Then right after they left, I noticed that a tile was nearly broken off the counter top and the feet of the range were not level. I have called nearly every business day, 11 times since then, been promised help and that someone would call me back to resolve this. Still nothing. I'm now probably going to have it fixed by someone else and take it up with my credit card company. They are either completely incompetent or purposely give you the run around. I will never buy anything from them again. They sent some delvery guys out today to fix the feet of the range, and they said they can't be fixed, someone else will have to come out with new feet to see if it can be fixed that way, or I need to get a new range delivered, or get a discount on this. Went to Lowe's yesterday to buy a new washer & dryer. First it took 20 mins to get anyone to help. That's completely unacceptable as the store was quite empty of customers. So we got a quote, went home to see if we could get the appliances sooner else where. I tried calling back the guy who helped us at the store. Their phone system sucks. They NEVER EVER EVER EVER pick up the phone.......EVER. I tried for hours to talk with someone. Then I got online to get help. Again several hours dealing with that system. Finally got customer service put in the order. Gave the guy my LOWES card, attempted to enter the card number no less than 4 TIMES and their system wouldn't work. I'm so unbelievably frustrated at this point. Tried calling them again this morning without success. So I call another appliance store in the Bay Area. It took approximately ONE 15 minute call to order a washer & dryer. They will be delivered on Tuesday. I will NEVER step foot in Lowe's ever again. I don't blame their low level workers for the complete cluster that is their system. That blame sits squarely on management and corporate. They lost a $2000 sale due to their lack of consideration and care of a customer that spent over $5000 worth of merchandise over the last year. Bye Lowe's I won't be missing you at all. read more

EPIC FAIL today at Lowes!! I bought an expensive toilet Feb 1st. My very experienced plumber installed it. After paying him 4 times over 2 months to come back and see where it was leaking, I finally gave up and bought a different brand from my local Home Depot. Since I live 90 miles away, I first called the Lowe's to make sure they would take it back. I explained the entire situation to the customer service girl on the phone, who then went to confirm with management. After being on hold forever, she came back on and said that her manager said I could return it, even if I only had my credit card receipt. Nothing on their website indicated that toilets weren't returnable, and it even said they have a way to look up the receipt if you have lost yours. This morning, 3/28/23 at 7:30am, after driving 90 miles, I brought it in to Lowes. The customer service girl said I couldn't return a previously installed toilet. I explained that I had just called to verify that I could 2 days prior and then asked to speak to a manager. I don't know where Lowes finds their help but the "manager" finally came out looking as if he just rolled out of bed... or was stoned, or both. Again I explained the ENTIRE SAGA in detail, including the fact that I wouldn't have driven it all that way if I hadn't been told I could return it. He said I would need to call the American Standard to get an authorization to return it. I called American Standard right there in Lowe's lobby and put it on speaker for all to hear. The customer service rep from the manufacturer said that LOWES needed to call them and that they should know this is the procedure. I asked for the manager to speak to this rep on the phone..... AND HE REFUSED! He then sent the counter girl out to tell me that they could give me store credit. Since I had already sunk over $800 into this piece of junk, I demanded a refund. They finally relented and gave me a credit back to my Visa card, which the girl at the counter rudely slammed down in front of me. But the final insult was that "we want you to know that we will only do this once for you." AS IF this were my fault! AS IF I would ever come back to Lowes to buy anything from them. There were a million ways Lowes could have handled this better... starting by not telling me they would take it back, calling American Standard themselves, hiring and training their people to be courteous, knowledgeable and helpful. If I could give Lowes at BIG fat ZERO stars it would be well deserved! Ordered 5 major appliances for my 78 year old mother to be delivered and installed. They show up w 4 appliance and tell my mom they dont have an order to "install" the products. They forgot the ice maker which was paid for extra so we tried to call the store for 2 days. NEVER got a live associate, dropped every call after being on hold every 30 minutes, had to make the half hour drive back to Lowes to actually talk to someone. Picked up missing ice maker and scheduled installation for 3 days later for a truck to pull up the next day with another ice maker and AGAIN told us they didnt have instructions to install the product! Who the eff has a company come deliver an ice maker and not have it installed??? Its not a plug in kind of machine, it took screwing into the body of the freezer and all. They wouldnt hook up the washer or dryer because it wasnt on their delivery instructions, like wtf! WORST purchase decision EVERRR! There was a line of 6 people in large appliances making complaints all comparing stories. I must say lowes has some nice things when it comes to home improvement materials. They have a pretty good selection of decorative tiles for backslashes, fireplaces or whatever you need decorative tiles for. They sell Valspar paint, which is known to be damn good paint! They have an awesome selection of sinks and faucet fixtures on hand! Yes they have sinks and fixture in stock unlike the other stores!!! We picked up a very nice stainless deep sink for our laundry room here! Having things in stock is important to me! If I wanted to order something, I would just buy it in Amazon, and have it delivered to my front door!!! Also they have a nice appliance selection, although their sales prices are not as low as the competition!!! read more

This place is the worst. I was looking for some cheap carpet for a project, went to Lowe's, went to flooring, found the carpeting that I wanted on a roll sold by the foot. I spend the next 45 minutes trying to get someone to cut a rug (lol). Walk up front they say they'll call someone. 15 minutes later still no one. I have a major bad knee so I wasn't wanting to walk up to the front again and there's absolutely nobody around. I pick up the phone in flooring and hit 0. Lady who picks up nags me out for using the phone to which my reply is "I wouldn't have if someone would have helped me within a reasonable time". Really the wrong thing to be focusing on here lady. How about focusing on customer service! 15 minutes later - still no one. Walked around way more than I should have had to, and I finally got someone who actually knew who could cut it. Ab17 minutes later someone finally came and helped me. I was in the store for nearly an hour for 4 linear feet of cheap carpeting. I'll never go back. read more

I ordered a shed from Lowes.com to be delivered from this store. They sent me the wrong size shed. Lowes on the phone acknowledged that it's wrong and I was sent the wrong thing. But they refused to arrange a pickup and exchange because it's dropshipped from the manufacturer and, as far as they're concerned, it's not their fault or problem - even though I bought it from them - not from the manufacturer. So I'm now having to dispute a $3,000+ charge with my credit card company and wait months for it to be resolved. Lowes will not stand behind their merchandise and will offer you absolutely nothing in the way of support if there's something wrong. I'll never buy anything from Lowes again. read more

Annoying that there's people all around but no actual help. I walked in picked up soft pads for my kitchen chairs and proceeded to try and find jack posts for under my house. Walked all over. Couldn't find someone who didn't appear too busy to assist or who would make eye contact. Got up to self check out and asked a guy who had on a Lowe's vest who was drinking a red bull and when I said excuse me he seemed rather annoyed. I asked where jack posts were to support under the house. He said "if we have any they would be in the far corner with the roofing stuff" I just said UNDER the house support. Ordered a refrigerator on June 30, 2020. Informed delivery wouldn't be until 9/8/2020. Since then, the delivery date has been changed 5 more times, 9/22, 10/6, 10/20, 10/26 & 10/31. Note the last two times I wasn't notified but had to check the order status online myself. Called the customer service number only to be told the store would contact me in 24 to 48 hours. Won't be ordering from Lowes again. Since my order, I ordered a dryer from Home Depot. THAT appliance was delivered on time. read more

Recently bought a washer and dryer from this Loews and received good service during the purchasing process but a shitty experience after they were installed and issues arose. Our property manager was reporting that the dryer wasn't drying efficiently And it was creating problems for our housekeepers. I called Lowe's and asked To speak to the person/mgr. who handled the installation to find out if they had replaced the exhaust hose Since that appeared to be the problem. When I eventually got through to someone at Lowe's I was told that someone Would call me back to discuss the issue and when I told them what exactly the concern was I received a call back from the same clerk who stated they couldn't help me and to call a handyman. I attempted Several times unsuccessfully to follow up with them but when I finally did hire my own handiyman I found out that the exhaust hose was crimped and was done so during the installation. So we had to pay 200 bucks to hire a handyman to fix A problem Loews created but refused to address This is classic Lowe's shitty customer service And eventually I'll learn from past experiences! read more

Hello, I'm sending this note and pictures through this email because, of course, one can not send an email directly to the manager of the Cotati, California. I can only hope someone....anyone in corporate management will get this email. This matter may be small to corporate but to the average consumer like me in these very challenging economic times its not so small. I was at this store today and purchased a very expensive sheet of 3/4 inch oak plywood. I needed a few cuts on it. The employee was really great. However the blade on the panel saw was so dull it might as well been cut with a chain saw! How hard is it to maintain a sharpe blade on this machine? Thankfully I always have things like cut oversize to work around damage like this. Lowe's used to be the Go To place far eclipsing Home Depot. I'm not so sure anymore. I purchased a washer dryer set for about$1500. Hadn't intended to spend that much but sales clerk said if I signed up for a Lowe's credit card that I'd get a significant discount. So I went with more expensive appliances - and they turned me down for their credit card. They refused to tell Me why I was turned diwn - I own two homes have money in the bank, and a credit score of 825/850. I'm constantly offered cards that I constantly turn down - but don't qualify for a Lowe's card....LOL. ITS CALLED "BAIT AND SWITCH" - particularly egregious when used against senior citizens. When I complained - they would not speak to me or respond. Over the years - I spent more than $50k at that one store - I guess they figured they'd gotten all they could - lol. read more

Last week I bought a Char Broil 5 burner grill that also has a side burner that was on sale for $150. I brought it home assembled by Lowe's and today I tried to cook something on it and I couldn't get any temperature higher than 250 degrees, unless I kept the lid closed. The burners work, we can see the flame, but there's no power behind it, so when I try to cook a skirt steak, there's not enough heat to sear it. It just comes off the grill an ugly grey. We checked the tank, nothing wrong. We checked everything and we can only assume it's the regulator. With all FIVE burners blasting on high, we could only get 300 degrees on the grill if the lid stayed closed. Tried to call Lowe's back three times today and no one picks up the phone. I had to deal with going back to the automated operator over and over to get back to the right department, outdoor and the phone rings twenty times and then a busy signal. Every other department, the same result. If I have to drive to Lowe's in Cotati to deal with this, I'll be done with Lowe's. This is the worst experience I've ever had with store like this. I am still completely shocked at how we were just treated at the Lowe's in Cotati, by their Manager.. we ordered a new washer and dryer over a week ago and had the delivery scheduled for this morning. Yesterday night we received a message letting us know the delivery needed to be pushed from 9am-11am window to a 11am -3pm window, which we had a prior engagement scheduled for 2pm today. We were able to notify via message that we couldn't do the new time and were then changed to Monday with a window of 8am-8pm. Well this morning we called at 10am to ask whether they were located at our local store and if we could just come and pick them up instead. Order information was left and we were told we would get a call back. At 12pm their receiving manager called us and stated he had put them aside and would be available for us to pick up today. We were heading home at 6pm so I called ahead and let them know the situation and said we would get there around 7:20, 7:30 to pick up. (Which I did ahead knowing they close at 8pm on Sundays. Which would give them over an hour to be prepared. Because I didnt want to be that person at the end of the day) We arrived at 7:30pm on the dot, they were able to pull the washer and dryer, however something with their system was not allowing them to be released. Oscar the manager told one of their associates "oh well, have to call IT, and they may take up to an hour". As he shrugged and walked into a back room... the girls at the order pickup, were extremely helpful and was trying everything while on the phone with IT. We even said if its a big issue we can just wait and one of us will stay home from work to receive tomorrow. The IT department told them to cancel the original order and then to ring us up as a new order. Which in doing so did not give us the original sale price (which the girls adjusted manually for us thankfully) and also did not give us the same option of 18months 0% on our lowes card. Our lowes card ended up being declined bc the original order was still showing and was flagging in their system, one of the associates got us on the phone with their lowes card department. But at this point, about an hour later. Oscar the manager comes back out and asks what is happening. One associate starts to explain and he cuts her off and says "well the store is closed now and I can't have people in the store anymore." He then continued to repeat himself and say he can't help us cause the store is closed and we have to leave. He then said it was our fault for coming in with 5 mins left in the day, which we specifially called multiple times to make sure our order was ready... so now our original order has been canceled, so we not only have lost the sale price but are now out a washer and dryer even longer... but what irritates me the most is the way the manager handled the situation. With all the years I had been in retail and working as a manager would I myself or one of my bosses have allowed a customer to be kicked out of the store who was in the process of making a purchase because it was 'closed', let alone a customer that was having an issue with an order/transaction. And the fact that he left the associates high and dry in the first place and didn't even try to help them solve the issue when we first arrived well before closing... horrible management!! read more

I am a fan of Lowes but I don't usually write reviews for big box stores. But two associates went above and beyond and I wanted to thank them. I started by calling Home Depot as I had a coupon but after 5 min of just ringing, I gave up and called the good people at Lowes. I had an urgent need for a reliable refrigerator and Zano picked up the phone. The deliver cut off was in 15 minutes so he literally ran to the back to check local stock. He handed the phone over to Denise who as equally great and helped me set up the delivery. We will see how the delivery goes but the in-store staff was beyond my wildest dreams. read more

We're very upset with our GE washer and dryer we bought less than a year ago. We've had 7 service calls, and there are still problems. We want to get them replaced with another brand. I went to Lowe's today on the recommendation from a friend that they had a particular cordless tool that I wanted to buy at a very good price. When I got to the store, I could not locate the tool I was looking for, nor could I find anyone in the tool area to help me. I approached a cashier who researched what I was looking for and told me that they had 10 in stock. She called for someone to come assist me. After 4 pages and 15 minutes of waiting, no one showed up to help me. I told the cashier to forget it, that I would go to another store. I did buy what I wanted at Home Depot. It cost a tad more but I got my tool. Lowe's lost the sale, Home Depot got my money. Very reluctant to ever recommend Lowe's to anyone. read more

No More for Lowes - I have purchased two refrigerators since 2016 from Lowes. Along with my purchase I have always paid for the warranty protections for 3-4 years. The first refrigerator was a French Door Whirlpool and the ice cube maker arm continually froze up and therefore would not dispense ice. Under their warranty provisions it was determined that it was covered under the "lemon law" and I was given reimbursement and purchased a French Door GE Cafe in 2019. This GE Cafe stopped cooling on Thursday, August 31st, 2023, and I notified Lowes and they scheduled At Bay Appliance Repair for service. After a couple of visits, where I had to leave either the morning or afternoon clear, they determined that two parts were needed. On the 3rd trip out, another half day lost, they came with one of the parts but the second one was the wrong part so still not working. On the 4th trip, another half day lost, they replaced the evaporator, and after a week it started heating up again. I called and they came out two more times and decided that there was a leak and not repairable. This was on October 20, 2023. They told me they would file the paperwork on it my warranty would be utilized for a replacement. On October 21st, I went to Lowes and purchased another refrigerator--this time an French Door LG. It was scheduled for delivery on Monday, 10/30. It showed up and had three dents on the freezer. So I returned it and would not accept it. Today, October 31, I received notification from Lowes Warranty that they are now sending out Sears to repair my GE Cafe that has not been working for 2 months to determine if they will cover it under my 4-year warranty. They insist that they must send another repair company to determine for the 2nd time whether or not the GE Cafe is repairable--only after two months and my purchase of another refrigerator. I have made over thirty calls to all involved and LOWES HAS NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. I am cancelling the purchase of my LG French Door Refrigerator from Lowes and looking to purchase it elsewhere. Sales have been going on at all major appliance stores for October and they end today and now I have missed out on the reduced prices. I don't have a working refrigerator after 2 months and no resolution in sight. read more

So after 30 mins to checkout - get my hedger home just to find out it's used. My experience with Lowe's in Cotati was terrible. I ordered two sliding closet doors. The quality of the doors was very good, but the service was awful. The person in the door department was unhelpful and difficult. The installer whom they sent to measure was rude and unprofessional. I like Lowe's as a company, their prices are good on a lot of things they carry a great variety. I don't know if it's been in recent years since I've moved back to the area and I'm an adult now so I do my own shopping there or if it's always been an issue, but the stock on really popular items is terrible. Ive gone in there 7-8 times in the last 2-3 months solely to get spray paint. The little cheap guys on the floor. I've asked people in paint they tell me they don't know when it's going to come in, don't have any idea what day it comes in, don't know anything basically. I understand if u have an automated system that orders things. I've worked at the largest grocery chain in the area for the last 21 years & they were starting to convert to that when I left a few months back. However u still know what days you get a load in & a copy of what your shipment should be that you should be expecting. Dawn in paint has now told me twice that the computer doesn't tell the store when they're deliveries come in or when things will be back in stock or if maybe it's discontinued and you'll just never carry it again. she has no idea about anything anytime I've asked her on the phone or in person. I don't know if that's true or if she just doesn't care enough to find out. I mean it seems really weird that a company that has regular deliveries of inventory has no idea when they're coming. I could understand her saying maybe "oh we get our shipments on Tuesdays and Saturdays and but those paints are on back order and we're not sure when they're going to come back. That would show me she actually knows what she's saying rather than just walking over to the shelf I just came from and says, "oh. no, we're out." I mean I figured that out on my own and I find it impressive that in the last hour the store is open, she's just now noticing that ur out of the most popular paint that u sell? she really had to walk over and look? I highly doubt anybody works a 1 hour shift and she just got there, so she's just kind of being condescending I feel. When the best she could do to help me out is just tell me the same thing ever time, "The computer doesn't tell us anything." Such a lack of effort. Can't tell me in the 3 months that you've been out that I'm the only person who's inquired. I ordered a washing machine on 1/6/22 and the drivers refused to come up my street because it was too narrow for such a large truck. Understandable. So, I rescheduled my delivery and requested a small truck to be used the second time. The small truck was the size of a UPS truck, which comes up my street all the time, they still wouldn't deliver my washing machine. I decided to have the machine delivered to my work instead and asked a friend to borrow his pick up truck and brought it home myself. That was on (1/22/22.) Done. I look over the bill and they still charged me for a haul away fee of 30.00. I hauled my old washing machine away myself. They stole 30 bucks from me! I've called a half dozen times and have gotten nothing but a run around from every employee I've spoken to. Please be cautious about using this company. read more
