Well, if you know what you need and where to find it this isn't that bad of a store. The problem is if you need help, or if you need a cart or something like that, it can be a real pain. Spent 15 minutes, looking for a cart and no one could help me find one. I almost gave up. I was then directed to go out in the parking lot. I found where all the flat carts are - way out in the parking lot. Because they are hard to move, they put it on the customer to bring them in from the front. So if you're in the appliances aisle or decide to buy something that's in a big box, you need to go directly to the outer parking lot and fetch yourself a flat cart. Not joking. read more

If I could rate them zero stars, I would. Long story short: JW Floors in Santa Rosa was subcontracted by The Home Depot in Rohnert Park to install all of my flooring--laminate and tile. JW then subcontracted the job out to others who were completely unqualified for the work. It took MONTHS for the floors to be finished, and even when they were "done," I had to spend more time and money hiring someone else to fix their mistakes, because I didn't trust JW to touch anything else in my new home. They eventually had to come back for heavy-duty repairs because of major errors during the install. As a result, I ended up with damaged walls and floors--the very things I had just paid for. I see zero value in The Home Depot, JW Floors, or any of their contractors. The Home Depot was also a nightmare throughout the process, which has guaranteed I'll never give them my business again. The photos attached are from JW Floors AFTER they had "fixed" the mistakes. I didn't want them doing any painting or spackling because I had no faith in their ability and didn't want more damage. These photos show the quality of work they consider acceptable. When I asked the person sent to "help" the sub-subcontractors if he was proud of the final result, he actually said yes. If this is what they consider prideful work, they need to reassess. My advice: hire local. Find someone you can actually talk to and reach when there's a problem. This entire experience showed me how little anyone involved cared. They didn't even bother pretending to care. Terrible. 0/5. read more

We ordered a bathtub, tile, shower controls and a shower head and had them delivered to our home. I gave specific notes on where the bathtub needed to be dropped so it wouldn't be stolen, and I had that I had to sign for it. It was supposed to be delivered on a Monday. I also paid extra to pick my 4-hour waiting window. They were a no show. I was so disappointed. I took time off work to be there waiting. NO SHOW! I called 15 minutes after the 4-hour window and they said that they messed up and it wasn't on the way. They rescheduled with me for another 4-hour window on Wednesday. I confirmed all my notes would carry over, that it would be signed for, and the 4 hour window... again. They showed up spontaneously on Tuesday, the next day, not Wednesday. They tipped the bathtub upright and literally walked it on it's corners up my driveway. No one was there to sign for it. They left it in the wrong spot, and it was damaged. What gives??? Terrible service. When I got home from work, I found the damage and called right away. They scheduled for another one to be brought out on Friday. You'll never believe what happened... Frida,y they showed up, I caught them on my Ring camera and told them to please read the notes on the work order. I asked the guy to please carry the bathtub to the side of the house. I told him that's where he would find the damaged tub for him to pick up and take. He said Okay. Then walked directly to his truck and drove away. He literally left the big bathtub in the box on my front lawn and didn't bother to tkae the damaged one from the side yard!!! What in the world? I don't think the guy spoke a word of English. Not a word! I called the store and they promptly sent someone out to move the bathtub off my front lawn and to the side yard and to pick up the damaged tub they brought prior. The warehouse is broken. The people they are hiring are not good at their job. They're not even average. They're BAD at their job. They don't give a crap. Not a care! The communication between the store and the warehouse is ridiculous. It's like the warehouse doesn't care about good service, communication, or quality. I'm 100% over HD and moving to a competitor. And that sucks because I've been a HD guy for 20 years! I'm done. Honestly. Home Depot sucks now. What happened? Mike was great to work with at the store. Sophie was great at helping when I was frustrated, and she did her best to take care of me. She worked hard to be accommodating and easy to work with. Maria was helpful in getting someone out right away to move the tub to the side yard off my front lawn (SO IT WOULDN'T BE STOLEN) and take the damaged tub. The absolute worst! When I ordered a heavy toilet & vanity in the store & specified that they be delivered into my garage as a check-off on the delivery order, they were dropped off outside of my garage just before a heavy rainstorm & the delivery people rushed away before I could run out & catch them. When I called Customer Service to give them the opportunity to rectify this, the phone rang for 5 minutes w/o anyone answering. Later when my contractor went to install the toilet, there was necessary hardware missing from the toilet tank making it impossible to work. When I spoke directly to the store manager about this, she told me that if I could find the hardware myself in the store, she would give it to me for free, but otherwise there was nothing they would do to help me. This is my go to Home Depot as I love the huge parking lot and the layout of the store. I think in general, the staff here has been helpful whether I'm making a return, asking for a stock check, need garden help, flooring help, etc. Sometimes, you can be wandering around looking for a staff member or they're tied up with another guest. Typical retail. However, this review is for the Paint Station. I asked for Featherstone gray in Semi-Gloss and the Clerk who assisted me got the mixture all wrong. Turned out to be more yellow and when it dried on my wall, it was in yellow splotches. Went to Kelly Moore Paint today and they told me that the mixture is incorrect and that it should have more of a red tone to it. Beware- I would go to an actual paint store if you are looking for paint or just touch up paint. Terrible. read more

This review is for the Home Depot in Rohnert Park. I normally go to the one in Santa Rosa but they were out of stock for the Ryobi lamp so I ordered online to pick up at the Rohnert Park store. I receive an email about 30 minutes later that my order was ready for pick up. I found out I have to have the Home Depot app on my smartphone so I spent a few minutes downloading it and then logging in. I checked in that I was here at curbside pick up spot #1. 10 minutes later, a young lady brought out my order. With the Covid thing going on, I think curbside pick up is the way to go if you know what you want. read more

Instead they send you some bullshit advertising receipt you can only save a screen shot of with "deals" and advertising for products I DIDN'T BUY!!! . I went to purchase a saw. Not in stock and they will order and deliver to home in two days. Great. Paying cash was a problem. Got through that bump in the road. Pay for the item and understanding it will be delivered in two days. Am given the receipt and delivery date is two weeks out. I call it to the attention of the clerk and they don't know what to say. Supervisor is called over who also does not know. I stay this is not the date I agreed to. I am asking to cancel the purchase and my money back. I am told that is not possible. The manager is called in. He is not able to cancel and refund my money. He says he doesn't know when it can be done and some one will call me in the morning. Not acceptable business practice to me. I ordered a new grill yesterday for full price at $1000 online. Today it was delivered fully assembled without any instructions. I asked the delivery people why it was already assembled and without instructions. They were equally confused. Upon inspecting it further, I realized it had been used and had charred food still on the inside of the grill. I then called the Home Depot it came from and they offered $100 off the price stating that was the best they could do. A few hours later, I was walking in my driveway when I noticed a yellow piece of paper on the ground. This happened to be the "on sale" sticker that had either fallen off (or been ripped off) that said "USED BBQ, Now $749.25". I called the store back and relayed the information to them. They they offered $300 off the original price... which is $50 off the price of what I should have been charged had I knowingly chose to purchase the used grill. Today was project day and I went to Home Depot to pick up four sheets of plywood. I went to the Home Depot in Rohnert Park And asked at the desk and lumbar if someone was available to cut some sheets of plywood for me. The gentleman at the counter said sure he would get somebody and have them meet me back there by the time I loaded the lumber. I loaded for sheets of plywood and went back to the Cutting station. I waited and finally saw three employees come up with a forklift one aisle away. They closed the aisle and started moving lumber to different racks. I waited 15 minutes nobody showed up I left. Came here for a special kind of light (Halo) that went out in my kitchen. First person who helped me couldn't find the light and said he was calling someone in electrical. After waiting 15-20 minutes nobody came. Flagged down another worker (Andrew) asking for help and he said he would call someone...instead of trying to help me himself. I literally watched him do a lap around the aisle and came back and said the person he called was on break and will be back in 5 minutes...LIAR!!! I watched him the whole time, no radio, no phone, he didn't call anyone. I asked for his name and he said "what's yours" then I asked for a manager and he refused to help me further. ANDREW, IF YOUR LIFE IS SO MISERABLE OR YOU HATE YOUR JOB SO MUCH THAT YOU HAVE TO TAKE IT OUT ON CUSTOMERS I THINK IT'S TIME FOR A NEW JOB!!!! I've included a pic of Asshole Andrew so others recognize this prick when they see him. Another worker helped me get a manager to speak with who was very nice and apologetic for Andrew's rude behavior and said that's not how we treat our customers! I've never actually witnessed a company put a customers family at risk, but that is what is happening to me right now. After ordering a NEW Maytag dryer in April (over $600), the first one came off the truck for delivery in an already opened box and missing the knobs to actually work the unit. Awesome! One week later the second unit comes, and the high teenagers from Temco who installed it rip a gash into my door frame with their ineptitude. AMAZING! After operating the dryer over the next two weeks, I start to notice the smell of sulfur (which is added to the gas by PG&E because Just 5-15% gas concentration escaping in the air can lead to explosive ignition from a spark) and here is when things get a little frustrating. I call and ask specifically for a technician (the rep confirmed he has the ability to send either the Temco team for an "installation check" or a tech) and he promises the person coming is a tech who is properly equipped for the situation. Today that person shows up...a teenager high on pot, and he is not licensed with the BHGS. The gas is still leaking into my house, but there is no way to contact Home Depot directly. They outsource all of their customer support. I've been told to contact them back in four days. At which point they will begin to reach out to Maytag for the proper servicing to take place. While many may not review a large store like Home Depot as many may be the same as one or another, sadly this store falls well below many I have visited. So yes, they carry everything you need for home improvements at a reasonable and competitive price. Do they always have it in stock, yes, but the problem comes down to customer service. Navigating the store could be difficult, so one may lean on the employees for help, but I was unable to find any for quite some time. When I finally found a few employees, they preferred to continue on with a non work related conversation and ignore a customers question. I was finally informed that the item "might be a few isles over", which was not helpful at all. I finally found it after a few minutes of wandering around, but felt like an informative answer may of not wasted my time as much. I understand most stores and employees are not the same, but this is the second time at this location where assistance was non existent. read more

My partner (mexican descent with darker skin) and I (mixed race) were shopping here for some plants and we're eyed at by the employee Evole(white man- not sure if names spelled correctly). we came back into the garden center with several plants in our cart and he asked my partner "do you have money to pay for that?" we responded "what?" and he asked again if we have money, we replied we did. after being visually upset he said it was a joke and he was joking. racist comments like this made for a terrible experience. we talked to a the manager Mandi and got the store mangers info to file a formal complaint. their employees should have taken harassment training and or inclusivity training to prevent racist harassment like this. i hope management takes this situation seriously so this employee doesn't do this again. out of all the people in the garden center, he singled us (the only people of color) out to make his jokes to. read more

Cut to me today feeling like even though it was a gray and misty day, that the sun was shining down on me. I didn't end up finding my Dad in a plant here but I also knew it wouldn't be that easy. My Dad would want me to work for it. Even so, I've never been to Home Depot before and been offered so much help in every department but also treated as an equal. It was for real foreign territory and had me feeling like I was VIP or cute or something. I got offered help in the nursery section (one of my fave places on the planet now bc HD has the best prices and return policy), help in the paint section by the most wonderful buff older gentleman who showed me some painting tips and tricks, saved me a TON of money (turns out I had no idea how paint works), and mixed up my colors with no judgement given how little i knew going in. It was everything that a commercial for Home Depot would show. When I was checking out, another man named Gabe helped me with my cart of crap that included a plant that spilled dirt everywhere (oops) and zillion things I'd jammed together that I thought would take 500 years to ring up but he grabbed the scanner gun and brought it over to me and did all the work + helped me out with a pro discount membership. the customer service I got today... Recently, the managers here went WAY out of their way to clarify a mistake for me. I truly appreciate it. There were several folks who answered the phone; as well as people at the Pro Desk, on the floor, and even at Customer service who conscientiously took time to make sure I got passed along to the right person. Rohnert Park Home Depot : YOU ROCK! I wish I remembered all their names, but at least I recall Jose and Javier....(there were also several GREAT women who helped ALOT...)...It required two trips and numerous phone calls: THANK YOU! I have had many great experiences at Home Depots, generally... at all locations, the staff are caring and helpful. The managers are especially knowledgeable and really take their responsibilities seriously...it is pretty nice to have their help when I am clueless about what I actually need for the job I am in the middle of. I am not a fan of the corporation itself, but the hardworking folks who work there and the incredible prices and selection (yes, the corporate policies give me less costs...but, still...)...I do wish the staff and managers especially would be given raises! read more

Very disappointing service. Entered store at about 8:00 p.m., and the place was not very busy. Lots of staff standing around chatting. Purchased a large Halloween decor item and asked for someone to load it into my cart. Someone eventually came over and put it in the cart. After the $200 + purchase, the cashier asked if I wanted it loaded into my car. I told her thank you, and stood by the door as she directed me to do. I waited and waited. Staff continued to stand and chat in groups, occasionally glancing over at me clearly waiting. I gave up after 10 minutes and managed to get the item into my car. **This review is for the Tool and Truck Rental department.** I was having a hard time placing an online reservation for box truck rental on the Home Depot website. I called in to the Rohnert Park store and I had the pleasure of speaking to William. He made the process quick, easy, and he answered all of my questions. Two days later when we went to pick up the truck, Daryl was our associate. He had many walk-in transactions ahead of us (we showed up before 8:30am on a Saturday), but he was very cheerful and eager to help us. When we went to inspect the rental, he was thorough and gave us all the info we needed to get rolling. Later that same day when we came back to drop off the truck, Brad helped us. He was also very thorough and even found an item we had forgotten in the rental. Thank you William, Daryl, and Brad for an awesome first experience with Home Depot's Rental department! Deplorable management observation!! Today my husband and I were checking out of self check out when we couldn't help but hear how a superior was speaking to an elderly man employee!!! She was hollering away at the man on how to change out the cash from the checkout machine. At one point she physically shoved him back and was yelling "stand clear, stand clear". Another employee stepped in momentarily this woman had walked back over to the cash vacuum looking thing and hollers over her shoulder "Don't help him, he needs to learn how to do it himself!" This woman has grey hair and looks Hispanic (wish I would have got her name, but I hope someone who actually cares about the employees sees this). I couldn't help but audibly say to the female employee who walked by "wow, you don't speak to your employees like that and treat them that way if you want them to learn, what poor management oversight". She actually nodded and agreed with me about the woman and you could tell the immense disrespect others had for her. I know we all got desperate for employees during/after Covid but there's just NO excuse for that sort of behavior. Clearly a power tripping supervisor with ZERO interpersonal skills and lack of reading her surroundings. Shame on you!!!! read more

Have tried several times to find someone to help with purchasing and installing a new front door. I have stopped into the store a total of 5 times since May. I completed the on-line Home Services request form asking to get someone to contact me about a new door and installation. I stoped in on 7/16/22 and actually found two young men in the door department at the desk. They put me into the system to be contacted to set up an in-home appointment and told me that if I did not hear from someone by 7/19/22 to call a person who's card they gave me. I called on 7/20/22 and the phone extension went to someone else. I left a message and now as of 7/23/22 no one has reached out to me to schedule the appointment. It is unfortunate that the staff at this Home Depot store on Rohnert Park do not seem to care about the customer. I guess one door and installation is to small of an order. And then the stupid old women employee had the audacity to reach into my cart in grab my drain cleaner and put it back because she "just wanted to see" is so unbelievably inappropriate.
