Stood in the blind department for 30 minutes waiting on help asked several employees,one called for someone to come to the blind department. Well no one ever showed up went to customer service and I was just ignored by the employees...if you won't talk to me I can't ask you for help! This is one of the sorriest stores I have ever seen spent 26,000$ in one year ...no more I purchased building materials 3000$ worth they stood and watched me pay when I asked for help loading up they allllllll walked away, I have helped others load while they watched!!! WORST TILE Install process in the history of my 66 years of owning 5 homes and hundreds of upgrades and installs in 40 years. Many many months ago I went to Lowes in Dalton to get my home office measured for tile. 1. The guy came, measured and turned it in to Lowes. When I went in to order the tile and the other items I needed, they said they accidentally deleted my information and the measurements. I paid $75 for that. 2. Another measurement guy came out and he added a slew of needs and items he thought I had to have - like 9 bags of grout and enough plywoood to do half my house making the total come to over $5,000 for on 14x15 room. 3. I went back to Lowes to discuss this with their store install manager. We went over every item line by line and she corrected everything to where the total was closer to $3,000. She removed the $100 charge for moving oversized furniture because I brought pictures showing I only had small furniture. 4. Lowes delivered materials with only one weekend before install. It was not correct. Plus, the delivery guy had his pants so low I could see his butt and I was disgusted and appalled and told him he needed to buy pants that fit. 5. The installers showed up and looked at the materials and said they could not start the job because they were missing a LOT of materials like plywood, thresholds, quarter round and a number of other materials. Then they left 6. At the same time the installers were leaving I got a call from Lowes installation center. They said that they were also not going to allow the installers to move the 4 pieces of furniture I still had in the room because they dubbed them "antiques" which was NEVER mentioned or discussed until the DAY of the scheduled install. They were not even antiques except the old desk. 7. It was my best friends birthday and she had plans, but at age 69 (I am 66 with heart problems) on her birthday weighing about 104 pounds drove an hour and a half to come help me move very heavy furniture. 8. I had taken a week of vacation to get this done. Day one wasted 9. Lowes sent some materials that day but they were the WRONG materials and had to be taken back to the store. 10. The salesman said he and his boss would bring the correct materials after 6 pm. They did NOT come, nor did they call or text to tell me they were not coming. 11. Tomorrow the new crew is supposed to come install the tile, but I do NOT have the materials they need and no word from the store. I am sure the installers will come and leave again. 12. Entire vacation wasted and no tile install yet nor any word on when/if I get the materials or the install to even happen. WORST and most disorganized and unprofessional install process I have ever been through. My house is a mess, I have a desk in my living room, all of my office furniture is in the guest room. My office is empty and ready with no help from Lowes or their installers and I sit here trying to control my stress - I don't generally cry or get too upset - but yesterday I cried all day in heaping sobs and tried to stay calm so I don't have a heart attack or end up in the hospital. I will NEVER shop at the Dalton Lowes ever again and will most certainly never have any installs done by them. Wish me luck as I have no hope and no faith that this will get done. Today, for the second time in three months I drove to the Dalton to pickup an item that their website showed was in stock. For the second time it wasn't in stock. I showed them my Lowe's app and they responded "our count must be off". I blame this on the store manager, whoever he or she is. Gas prices are too high to be making trips to a store because they can't count. read more

This past weekend, I was completely overwhelmed when trying to choose blinds. I was about to give up, leave the store, and live with bare windows. Needed some help with some appliances I'd purchased. The guy I spoke with wasn't an appliance specialists, but knew everything I needed. Very helpful and friendly. The rest of the Lowe's is like other Lowe's. The delivery people were fast! They brought in and installed 3 things in no time. I have shopped at lowes my entire life and never encountered problem like I did yesterday. I'm white and never had a problem returning anything to lowes without a receipt but my friend is black and he tries to return some bushes that died and Samantha the manager told him no that for all she knows he found them in a ditch! This is not acceptable to treat someone with different skin color different and embarrass them in front of people. Lowes takes returns without a receipt so this manager being prejudice to my friend is unacceptable. Please fix this! Maybe I need to go return them for him since I'm white???? This is disgusting . He couldn't find his receipt but had all the tickets from the dead plants and all the buckets. Such a horrible experience for him. I hope no one else gets humiliated from Samantha like he did. Do NOT buy ANY refrigerators from Lowe's!! I am trying to save you the aggravation, idiocy, and sheer incompetence your price will include. We bought a GE side by side 1yr & 2mos. ago. It took them over a month to deliver it. Shelves were missing. No one told us. It took another month to get those. We paid over $1000 for it plus another $169 for the extended 5yr warranty. Now it is not cooling properly. We found it had heated up to 40° and took over 18 1/2hrs. to cool down 4°. No telling how hot it got. Called in for a repair. Had to wait all weekend. Set to fix today, Monday. Repair called to say they did not fix GE nor "cooling" issues. Wow. So mine must be REAL broken! Mine didn't cook, do dishes, sing...nor COOL! So now we have to wait ANOTHER day to see if this place repairs "cooling" refrigerators! The store is useless. The warranty is useless. The 888 number is useless. And the GE side by side model# in store#828823 is decidedly useless!! Just STAY AWAY and buy ANYWHERE else!! read more

The stuff is great but the customer service is not, we bought a dryer from a very nice lady. That lady said we could get our dryer in like ten mins so we waited in line for ten mins paid and went over to customer service where we were told we could pick up our dryer. All we got was lip for not waiting longer. The clerk that rang us up was also a little impatient. read more

Absolutely the worst customer service ever. I have always liked Lowe's over Home Depot, however, after this past experience, I will not spend money at this Lowe's for anything. It may be close in locality, but that is about it. I ordered two doors from them, paid for the doors, installation, etc. Within 3 weeks and after hearing NOTHING from them, I followed up. The follow ups continued and I spoke with multiple people in the department. There was not just one person, because when one person would fail, they would have me speak with someone else. Finally, after several weeks, I was able to get one door installed. I was then told that they had charged me for the removal of a storm door, the installation of the new door and re-installation of the storm door, but never charged me for the actual purchase of the door. It has now been over 8 weeks (probably more) and I still do not have a door. They said they would just get the door installed. Again, I call daily, asking when, and, again, I am told, we should know something tomorrow. It is a complete run around. I spent quite a bit on the doors, installation, etc. Yet, I still, after months, do not have what I purchased. Every time I call it is another story or I am sent to a different person. Please, save yourself the hassle and purchase your doors from someone else. This department lacks the ability of customer service or follow through. I am actually tired of calling them. I have asked for my money back, or give me the door and my money back, however, they continue to confirm that something is being done. However, my front door still looks the same and is not the door that I purchased a long time ago. Very frustrating. Save yourself from this department!!! read more
