I ordered online, mid pandemic. The team from the store made a delivery that was on time, and all the items were in very good condition. The order was mix of plywood, studs, vinyl roofing materials and bits and pieces. The delivery team cross checked everything, and a couple of items were missing - I'd expected this as I was notified. However, the store manager took the time to come by later with the items personally - she drove personally to our house over in Milton with a handful of parts that made the order up - she drove in her own car too - I felt this went above and beyond and I'd definately go back to the store because of this customer first attitide. Thank you Lowes Dedham - the customer service there was really first class, especially mid panedemic where retail services were stil figuring out how to respond to the new situation. I've been avoiding Lowes for two years since their last screw up. I ordered a Bosch dishwasher and had their contractors install it. I specifically got this one because it was supposed to come with a $250 rebate. The store screwed up the way they processed the order and after I purchased it they processed it as a return. I never returned it, it's still installed in my kitchen but this meant I could not get a valid receipt. It voided my rebate and my warranty. I'm praying nothing happens to it that requires my warranty but at the very least I lost $250 and after many calls and twitter messages, I was never able to get that resolved. I finally went back only because I got a gift card I didn't want to waste. A product featured online was priced differently than in store even though in store pickup was an option online. So I asked the manager if he could price match it (it was only $20). He huffed at me and walked away in the middle of us talking. Perfect end to my relationship with Lowes. read more

North Attleboro store #1014 - I had called about an order that kept on being pushed back. I had workers coming to my house so I had called for help to see if if was available in a another store. All's I got was "cancel your order and rebuy," Really! Spoke with the manager (no help) and customer service. I came to Lowes in Saugus, Mass on Jun 23, 2022 about 11:30 and by the help of one of your sales staff I placed an order on my phone ordering a Gas Grill that had to be ordered from the Dedham, Mass Lowes store. According to the sales person that was helping me, I was told they have 3 of the grills at the dedham Lowes. I had called the Dedham location myself days after my order making sure everthing was okay, & the staff was extremely unprofesional and rude to me for placing a call to verify my order was okay. They then told me that my order is still okay and that I don't need to call and check on it. They would only call me if there was a problem with the order beforehand. I had two text messages from that location one on Jun 29th and one on Jun 30 confirming the delivery of my grill. The text said my order was on its way. On Jun 30 at 10:30 am I received a call from Dedham saying they dont have my order now. I felt the person who I spoke with was lying to me 100%, everthing he was saying was BS. I asked to talk to their supervisor & was getting the run around, and then they actually hung up on me. I called back & they kept hanging up the phone. I then went and drove to Lowes in Saugus, Mass. and had an employee make a call for me & have a witnesses that they kept hanging up on me while trying to call the Dedham store. The Saugus supervisor said he couldn't do anything to help, because he said Dedham was a different store and franchise, and Dedham has nothing to do with Saugus. Not all Lowe's are created equal. I have been to multiple Lowe's locations (the Brockton location is surprisingly well managed), and this one is one of the WORST locations in the Boston area. Horrible customer service, tons of damaged inventory on the shelves, abysmal selection (compared to other locations) ... Don't bother trying to return anything here! Go to any other location. I have always had trouble returning items here, but the last occurrence was too much. Came into return a faulty smart light switch. I've returned items before without a receipt, but the store employee told me they can't look up the item on your Lowe's card. This is utter horseshit. A quick visit to the Lowe's site (https://www.lowes.com/l/returns-policy.html), and you'll find "In most instances, your receipt can be retrieved by using the original credit card, checking account number, MyLowe's card or by your phone number. For returns without a valid receipt, Lowe's, at its discretion, may issue in-store credit for the item's current selling price." Luckily I was able to find the original receipt in my card. When I brought it back to them, they scrutinized the return of a $50 item; acted like I was trying to pull a fast one and we're generally dismissive. Since there was no box, the employee dragged their feet on everything. "Which item is this on the receipt?" "How do I know this the correct item?" "Why don't you have the box?" Why the hell would I fleece Lowe's for $50 when I've spent $7000 this year on various home improvement projects? Blow it out your ass for treating me like a criminal. After spending 15 minutes arguing, I gave up and went home. I called them to complain and after it rang 47 TIMES before they finally picked up the phone and promptly hung up on me. No no no no no no no no no. Save yourself the headache. They don't deliver to third floor or higher but they won't tell you that until the delivery guy tells you they are outside. Although you tell the cashier at checkout the address and floor they pretend not to care what floor as it that isn't an issue when it is. They use a delivery company called XPO. Lowe's will take your money at checkout even though you told them you live on third floor. Take the $30 fee you pay to have them take the old refrigerator. All along not telling you that the company they use does not deliver to third floor . This delivery service is terrible. They wait until they get to your house to tell you they don't deliver to the 3rd floor. They don't care what you have to say about it. If you need an appliance and can do delivery and installation yourself, they have a great selection. But if you decide to ask these people to install something for you... you will never do so again. Our stove broke. The Home Depot down the street is even worse, so we went with Lowe's. Took three trips to the store in person just to get the guy to take the money for it and give me the receipt. In the mean time, the stove we wanted got sold out. Fine, we bought a more expensive one. He told me the installer will call to confirm the installation date. Two weeks later, no calls, we start calling, on the regular, every two to four days. Every time we call, it's a 40 minute hold, after which the customer care person discovers a new problem. First problem was the order was never put into the system so the installer didn't even know to call us. Fixed. Still no calls. Second problem was that the stove we bought (and have the receipts for) got sold to someone else and now they're out of stock until the end of the month. They offered us another stove. Cheaper, with reimbursement for the difference. Okay. The installer is still not calling. The stove is still not here. Going to give them another call in a couple days. Two stars because nobody tried to murder us yet. It could always be worse. And yes, every time they tell you they'll call you back, it's a lie. We're always the ones calling. DO NOT SHOP WITH LOWES. Or at least do not shop this location. My father received a hammock for his birthday and when we opened it, it was full of mouse poop. It was obvious the mice had been nesting in the box for a while. More than one mouse ran out of the box. This could have been understandable as they are kept in the warehouse and lowes has a garden center. HOWEVER...Lowes has done NOTHING to take care of the issue. My brothers Mom (the person who purchased the hammock) had contacted the store right after we opened it, and they made several promises. One of which was they would come remove it the next day. My brother and I waited around ALL day and they never showed. The response we got from the store was that hey had NO RECORD of this and that because she couldn't find the receipt there was nothing they could do. Then they said they would call her back after they had a lunch break. She NEVER received a call. My brother has already posted on the lowes facebook page. This is AWFUL customer service. I had such a great customer experience with Lowe's that I just had to write a review! It was around 9:58pm and I really needed to new keys for my storage... yes, I was THAT person coming in 2 minutes before closing, the worst, I know. However, I was not sure if there were Holiday hours, so gave it a shot! There was a guy outside letting me know that it is closing, but try the left doors. As soon as I walked in, a cashier quickly shut me down saying sorry, everything is closed, which I 100% understand so I walked out. As I was leaving, the same guy (Benji) said come with me, I will help you. He saved the day and let one of the cashiers know he is helping me quickly. I got what I needed and left. This did not have to happen, it was closing, they needed to clean up, I would have left, but Benji was SO helpful and so nice to let me get what I needed and I really am so grateful. I agree with the previous poster; there are MUCH better Lowe's locations when it comes to service (or just Lowes.com and have it come to you). I have spent a fortune - none of it expected - in the last two weeks: washer, dryer and refrigerator. The refrigerator I ordered online and it came from the VERY nice delivery people (who are outsourced by a company called 3PD) right away; great deal, nice all-around. The washer and dryer I purchased in Dedham? A completely different story. I found exactly what I wanted online, read all of the user reviews, and also read the reviews on other sites as well. The wait time was 10 days if I ordered online, so I went to the store, wandered around to find someone (unlike at Home Depot where I find that an orange-adorned person is always around to help) and finally found German sitting at a desk. He almost looked like I was bothering him, and seemed aggravated that he couldn't upsell me. The dryer wasn't in the store, but was at another location, and when he called over there, he proceeded to chit-chat with the guy about someone's BBQ. Um, I am dropping $900 here, and I really don't need to hear about a BBQ in the middle of nowhere, you know? Once again, thankfully, the delivery guys were great, and told me that the new hoses that German said I "HAD" to buy were not needed, so back I went to the store to return them. Today, I am coming out of the woodwork from years of not yelping, now on the East Coast, to warn you about this Lowe's. I wish I had read reviews before going there. My husband and I just bought a house and came here to buy all brand new appliances, $10k worth. The girl who helped us order the appliances was lovely & helpful. I knew what I wanted - I could have just ordered it all online, but I wanted the face to face and felt it might be helpful to go in the store. Our order was placed with no issue, we left the store excited for our delivery date about 2 weeks later (all appliances were scheduled to be delivered except for the dishwasher which was on back order til January which was not a problem for us). It actually could have been delivered sooner, we were told, but we set the date for Dec 4 since we would be out town for Thanksgiving. The weekend before our delivery, I received a call from the appliance department. She said that half the items were there and would be delivered on time, but was concerned about the other three major appliances - Fridge, oven, and dishwasher - all Kitchenaid. And said I should call back Monday and inquire about their delivery. On Monday I was told that those three items were unclear. The Lowe's employee couldn't tell me when they would be delivered because the other two kitchenaid appliances had to wait to be shipped with the dishwasher. The dishwasher was originally scheduled for late January, but at the time of this call, they had no ETA for it. But also, he said, maybe everything would be delivered on the 4th. Let's wait and see. Ok.... What?! I was busy and couldn't deal with it that day, so I waited until delivery day and sure enough, no fridge, no oven, no dishwasher. The team that delivered my other appliances that day was very kind and efficient. I have no complaints about the delivery team whatsoever. I took to the phones to call the Lowe's store. I spent hours on the phone trying to get through. I was hung up on every single time I finally made it to the appliances department, which was probably 1 in 10 times of calling and sitting on hold for 10-15 minutes at a time before their system times out and sends your call back through to the beginning. I tried nearly every department, only having luck one time with the Pro desk (I'm an architect, so I do have a Pro account) and one time going through to actual customer service desk. When I finally had luck after hours of trying, I immediately asked to speak to a manager. The customer service rep patched me through and I was hung up on - 5 times this happened! And when that happens, you have to call back and start everything over again. I couldn't take it anymore, I called Lowe's corporate number and got a very lovely lady who was so helpful. She informed me that since they knew originally that the dishwasher was on backorder, they should have put it on a separate order from the other two kitchenaid appliances and that if they had originally done that, they would have arrived on time with the other appliances. Since it was too late for that, she did everything she could to try a new solution which was to cancel the original order and create a new order. Great! She did need new payment but assured me the Dedham store only charged when the items shipped.... Um...no, I informed her, they had charged me for everything the day I made the purchase in store. Oh no, she said she had no idea why they would do that. So she had to talk to the store. She eventually got everything sorted, but could only take me so far because it was an in-store order and not an online order, I had to speak with the store. She was able to patch me through to what was supposed to be a store manager. This was after well over an hour on the phone with her and her creating new orders for me with the same discounts I had received previously (black friday deals + veteran's discount) So I am talking to this supposed store manager that she's already spoken to. He knew nothing. I had to explain the entire situation to him again. Everything I told him I could hear him covering the receiver and telling someone else. I could hear that other person - who I assume to be the actual manager - telling him what to say and do. Eventually, after probably another 30+ minutes, the old order got canceled and the new order placed, of which I was told December 19th was the earliest delivery day for the fridge and and over and the dishwasher would be delivered after Dec 30. Not ideal, but it's all I could get, so fine. Now I've called to ensure delivery of the two appliances in happening Dec 19 and was told that no, everything is scheduled to come together on the 30th because it all had to wait on the dishwasher. I wish I read these reviews before purchasing a refrigerator. If you try to call, they just let it ring and ring and ring. So we decided to go in person, and they just stand and the guy told me that he doesn't answer the phone. Clearly they are not COVID friendly since you basically have to show up in person to get a hold of someone. We made a purchase and then returned it since it was garbage. One month after pick up, we still don't have the credit to our account. Lowes credit services had no idea how to help us and after being bounced around, ended up speaking to 3 people and we then told to call the store and filed a dispute that will take up to 60 days to get back on my card. We purchased a second fridge from them that is working fine. Called the store and the phone rang and rang and eventually was disconnected. Do NOT purchase an appliance from here. Horrible customer service. I'd give no stars if I could. Placed an order online for curbside pickup. After parking in a curbside pickup spot and indicating I was there via the app, I waited 10 minutes. When no one arrived I spent another 10 minutes calling customer service with no answer. I then had to wait another 25 minutes in line at the pick up desk before I got my order. I asked them why there was no indication that they weren't doing curbside pickup and was told they were too busy. I was told they have nothing to do with the app which just told me to "sit tight" as someone was in the way. I recommended they put a sign outside indicating they couldn't do curbside pickup at that time I was told I shouldn't have waited so long before coming in. When I finally got my order no one offered to help me lift the 85lb lawn mower into my trunk. I was trying to avoid going into the store due to COVID but ended up wasting 45 minutes in addition to having to go in anyways. It would have been a lot simpler to just go in the store myself but I was stuck because I had already paid for my order. I realize this is a difficult time and businesses are overwhelmed but I've had plenty of easy curbside pickups from other retailers. Guess I'll take my business elsewhere. read more

My sincere thanks to go out to Matt and Mary at the Lowes Dedham Garden Center for all of their assistance with my recent DIY project. I started digging up a 32 foot walkway behind my home that led to my driveway two weeks ago. Once I removed the old red clay stone, I discovered the prior owners had already created a crushed stone dust base layer, so all I needed to do was replace the second base layer and install new pavers. I first took my plans and photos and visited one of those specialty masonry stone suppliers to get an estimate of cost and materials. Sadly that experience was extremely disappointing and off putting, never again. Then I went to Lowes. I was met there by Mary in the Garden Center who introduced me to Matt. Mary and Matt could not have been more supportive and helpful. Within 20 minutes, I had picked out my pavers and Matt arranged for all the supplies to be delivered to my home. Materials were delivered on time and early three days later and I completed my project over the weekend. It was a back breaking job, but my burden was lighted by the care, courtesy and attention to detail that Matt in the Lowes, Dedham Garden Center displayed. I love the Lowe's in Dedham. The staff is always knowledgeable and super helpful. The store is always clean and organized and the lines are never too long. I've made most of my major household purchases at Lowe's including, Snow Blower, Lawn Mower, Oven, Refrigerator and Wash / Dryer. Most recently I purchased a new barbecue grill and was helped by Asst. Manager Renee who went way above and beyond with helping us out. read more

In desperate need of a washer and dryer so I went to Lowes on Saturday. After purchasing both washer and dryer they gave me a delivery date of 8/16/22 so happy and excited. Everything was perfect, I got the call that they were 20 mins away, only to receive the washer. I asked hmmm, where is the dryer? The delivery guy said, they only had a washer down. WHAT!? Another trip to the store, Carolann made my life a hell of a lot easier. She looked up my order, since it said the washer was delivery but the dryer was a carry out. No ma'am, no way we could carry out the dryer lol... Now being annoyed that I still do not have my dryer, and with monkey pox on the rise, I don't really want to go to laundrymat. Carolanne made a bad situation better. I was ready to write off Lowes and return the washer but she came and saved the day. No extra charge she will have the dryer delivered this week.
