I would never have an installation done on anything that goes through lowes. They use incompetant installers. They use ultimate home services for a lot of there installations . The are a bunch of hacks .there associates all say Ive been putting floors in for 30 years but can't do a simple floor install. When they fail to do Your job, Lowes will do little or nothing to remedy your situation. So now I am sitting here with material looking for my own installer. Save yourself a ton of headaches and just go elsewhere. This happened at the Downingtown store, but they use the same installers all over the east coast. read more

The reviews here are correct. Do not expect ANYONE to help you unless it means signing u up for their contractors to come estimate work on your place. Horrible service here. If u need inspiration to hire a contractor and not do it yourself , spend an afternoon here. Prepare for boiling blood upon exit. read more

Lowes of Downingtown is my go-to big box store of choice mostly due to its close proximity to where I reside. Prices and selection are competitive. Large parking lot is a plus and reduces congestion. Staff is knowledgeable, however other reviews appear to be 'on point'. I'd say that 75% of personnel walks right by without a 'hello' or 'may I help you find anything'? Staff will continue with a staff-to-staff conversation even with a customer clearly needing assistance. Most interactions I have with staff are pleasant and courteous. I think most reviews that I see regarding this store are harsh and based upon one bad experience. I shop the Downingtown store at least five days per week. Those are far from 'miserable' experiences. However, the negative comments in reviews certainly trend in the direction of necessary customer service training. Staff must value customers, be welcoming, be courteous, grow to become customer-centric rather than appearing inconvenienced. I will say that 90% thank me for my service as an Army Vet. A little TLC goes a long, long way. This store could quickly grow from average to very good/great with training and follow-through. I today's day in age (COVID), as an essential business, employees, though they are in retail (which is TOUGH), they need to be thankful for their jobs, an open store, and customers in abundance. read more

Worst customer service ever ! They don't stand behind their product.I bought a lousy $3000 lawn tractor, $700 freezer and a $1200 dishwasher. None of them actually worked out. Lowes did not stand behind their products, was hiding behind the manufacturer, lawn tractor did cost us $1400 in repair in a less then 2 year old machine under 2 years old and neither Husquana nor Lowes were standing behind the tractor. Freezer died 1.5 years after purchase , dishwasher was a huge hassle for 2 years and after the 2 year deadline they wouldn't touch it anymore. I will never buy anything there again. read more

Lowes should not even get a 1 should be a negative -10 we paid $5,000 for 2 entry doors and 2 screen doors, to be installed by a Lowes certified contractor. That was the worst decision we ever made. Since July of 2017 when the 4 doors were installed they have sent 2 other contractors to look at and fix the total screwed up 1st install. Both installers said no way they were getting in the middle of this nightmare. Then they send out an independent company in Dec. 2018 to look at the issues. They agreed by their report the doors were not installed correctly. To date 3-15-2019 Lowes still has not corrected the issue. We want a full refund, find another door company and private contractor to re-do the whole install including whatever they messed up on the door frames. we will never go, use or recommend Lowes ever again. STAY AWAY go to a family owned hardware, window and door company. read more

I ordered a whirlpool washer and dryer from this store on April 8th. I have been told that they would be delivered by the 16th, which I told my client. When the 16th arrived I was told that the dryer was back ordered. I was then told the delivery would be the 20th which I again told the client of the delivery. When the 20th came around I found out that the dryer still was not in the warehouse for delivery. now looking like an ass I had to call the client who had been without the washer and dryer, that the dryer was still not in the warehouse! I went back to the Downingtown Lowes today and they said the delivery was scheduled for the 29th ! Which again I told the client ! Only to find out that the dryer was still not in the warehouse. At this point the client has been without almost a month ! Lowes offered to give me the floor model as a temporary till the dryer arrived for delivery. This is probably the only thing that is positive that has come out of this situation. The sales rep Jose' has done everything possible to compensate me for this inconvenience. And my client will FINALLY have a washer and dryer !. My only advice for anyone buying a Whirlpool Washer and Dryer would be before paying for anything is make sure the item is in stock or better yet in their warehouse ! And if not, go get it from another store ! I will probably not buy appliances from them again due to this experience, and will warn my friends and Family of purchasing here also. read more

If I could give it less stars I would. Have had mixed experiences here but my last one was terrible. Went in looking for a marble prefab threshold to use for bathroom. Tall young guy, dark hair glasses working in the tile and flooring section says they don't have them. I pick a couple other things up and go to check out. I see my neighbor who tells me they definitely have the marble thresholds. I go back again to the section. There is now another guy there with the previous guy. Tall, bald. He tells me they have them and are "back there somewhere on the right" down one of the aisles. I go back, find them and say to the younger guy "I told you they have them here" to which he replies with an arrogant shrug. I then got more not so friendly service when asking if they could cut the piece to length for me. It was clear that these two guys had zero interest in being helpful that day. So, I went to Home Depot. read more

I have had good experiences with this store until I bought a gas range from them this winter. I told the sales person my home has propane not natural gas. The range was shipped setup for natural gas and now I am getting the runaround from hell trying to get it converted. They told me I can do it but the manual says real clearly, if the work is not done by an authorized tech all warranties are void plus I am not a person to play with gas lines. read more
