It's a Lowe's and it has all of the usual things that any Lowe's would have but what makes it a standout was the help! Every time we turned around there was someone offering to assist us in some way. Getting Lowes to do anything is a job in itself, they don't return calls, they put you on hold and then disconnect after waiting for 20 min. Went to Lowe's to purchase a lawn mower. An employee said he would help us in a moment and never came back. We had a question about the lawn mower we were looking at so I went to the employee who works in that department. He was on his cell phone and said he would be with us in a moment. As we waited, I listened to him talk about planning his vacation to Hawaii. We just walked away and ended up purchasing the lawn mower we were looking at. He never came to help us. As we were checking out, we noticed that many employees did not appear to be very happy at their job. I'm very disappointed at the lack of customer service. It seemed like the employees were bothered by the fact that customers were there and some had questions. I don't plan on going back, even if it is more convenient. read more

I'm currently in the process of remodeling the bathroom in my house. The special order vanity cabinets look like a 2nd grader finished them and what makes matters worse is the General Manager, Brian, for this store could give a shit. He told my contractor, "between you and me... They're cheap cabinets". That's how he handles customer service. I spent around $1000 on the cabinets. Who manages this store?? 3 people behind the pick up desk & do you think 1 could acknowledge me? No one was in front of me. I ordered a toilet online early August. I got a phone call saying it was ready Sept 4. I go to pick up Sept 6. Not ready, they sent it back due to damage but still charged me AND did not call me to inform me of the damage.I was told it would be re-ordered. So i call yesterday Oct 3 ... A 30 min phone call, most of the time on hold.... with NO resolution of where my toilet is. The rep said I would get a phone call back within 24 hours. Never happened. I have been charged $529. and NO toilet? You get a 1 star only because I couldn't give you a NO star. Horrible Experience! read more

I had always been pleased with Lowe's service and merchandise so when we saw they were offering a flooring rebate we placed the order. It came and was installed in a timely fashion and we really like it but no one was ever able to give us the rebate information. The flooring section of the store was torn apart and had a curtain all around it. I had to peek in to try to find an employee every time I stopped in the store to speak to someone. They were never able to provide the form. I have called the corporate office multiple times (have never been taken off of hold) and even wrote a letter with no response. We are talking about several hundred dollars and not a single person that we spoke with was able to tell us how to claim it. They suggested we go online to request the rebate but we needed to have the name of the rebate to proceed and the employees were not able to provide that information. I was disappointed that such a home improvement giant was unable to offer the information for promotions that are being advertised in the store. read more

Worst service ever. In the middle of a project I came to get some hardware. Two checkout lines were full (Saturday).The self-service scanner froze. The staff, with no particular sense of urgency, said they've been having trouble with the scanners all day. I sit, nearly an hour later, waiting for them to figure out a way to take my $10.63. only half of my transaction processed so they could neither figure out how to give me back what I paid nor take the $10.63. why did their computer issue become my problem. read more

We hired Lowe's to remodel our main bathroom. What a nightmare - not only in the quality of work done, but also in the excessive time it took to complete the job. I have a small child care business in our home, and our 93-year-old mother (with stage 3 dementia) resides with us. For these reasons, the remodeling time was a critical factor in our choice of a contractor. We chose Lowe's over a more preferred contractor only because the preferred contractor needed longer to complete the job. We were very clear to Lowe's that we were choosing them, and paying an additional $4,000.00 in labor costs because Lowe's would be able to complete the job within the required two-week time frame. Lowe's subcontracted our bathroom remodeling job to Thompson Building Associates. We were assured by Lowe's that Thompson was a solid quality company. "Solid and Quality" could not have been further from the truth. Not only was the time frame not met, but the workmanship of Thompson Building Associates looked like that of a very poorly done DIY project. After four and a half weeks, it was necessary to stop the project and request an on-site meeting with a Lowe's representative and the Project Manager from Thompson. We needed them to see the damages made by the contractor to the new products and the subpar work that had been done. During the inspection it was clear that outlets and light boxes were each installed differently. Some recessed, some outset, and not one was aligned with the center of the vanity sinks. Their plumbers had to come out several times to correct the plumbing they installed. The plumbers drilled through an adjoining wall and into the next room when installing the plumbing. The light fixtures boxes were not centered and placed too low to provide adequate space to hang the vanity mirrors. A portion of the new sub floor was shimmed - instead of using plywood of the same depth throughout - the floor was spongy in one area. The new drywall was noticeably uneven and bumpy, the contractor did not install water resistant drywall in the bathroom, nor did he insulate the outside wall before installing the drywall. After the drywall was installed around the new tub, the tub sat at an angle. When the drywall was removed to correctly reposition the tub, it was discovered that it had been seated on top of an electrical line. The plumbing for the sink did not line up with the cabinet, so the contractor chopped out a portion of cabinet's back brace, ruining a custom-ordered cabinet. The Onyx tub surround was so poorly cut that it was installed at an angle, which resulted in gaps and uneven sides. Due to the uneven drywall, the tub surround could not adhere to the dry wall, the contractor decided to fill the space behind the surround with wet drywall compound. All the while assuring me that he was a "certified Onyx installer". We paid over $16,000 for this bathroom to be remodeled, and what we had 4-1/2 weeks later, was literally a mess. After the job site meeting, it was decided that the only way to correct the poor workmanship would be to take the entire bathroom back down to the studs again, and wait for Lowe's to reorder the custom bath cabinet and the tub surround that the contractor had damaged. Six weeks after our start date, Thompson sent out a different employee. The new employee worked one day and could not return due to a back problem. At this point, Thompson Building Associates subcontracted another company, Absolute Construction. Absolute Construction completed the entire remodeling job - from the studs to a completely functional bathroom in just eight (8) DAYS - and did so beautifully. If Lowe's had chosen a capable subcontractor for our bathroom project, two weeks was adequate time to properly complete the project from beginning to end. We paid an additional $4.000.00 in premium labor costs for Lowe's' commitment to complete the entire bathroom remodeling in two weeks. Eight weeks later we had our bathroom, completed by a company not employed by Lowe's and contractors not employed by Thompson. Since Lowe's did not provide what they agreed to - quality workmanship and the commitment of the established project timeline, we requested a refund of the $4,000. This is the additional cost that we paid to have the job done in 2 weeks. Lowe's offered us 10% back and eventually told us that they were willing to give us no more than $2,000.00, as a refund. A word to all! I would avoid Lowe's and Thompson Building Associates. Every contracting company is fully responsible for their sub-contractors. This includes their quality of work and their progress related to the time commitment. Lowe's is unable to provide quality contractors, unwilling to hold them responsible to install their products properly and within the agreed time commitment, and unwilling to right a wrong for their customer. Had the unfortunate experience of buying a Troy Bilt power washer from this Lowes - three years ago - i have had it in for service every year - i have never been able to make it work for more than two hours. It is leaking everywhere - they service centers they sent me too said that the pumps are made so cheap with pot metal that they won't work on them. I recommend you not buy a power washer from Lowe's unless you just want a lot of grief. read more

I purchased an LG washer and dryer from Lowe's in Dublin, and had problems with the washer. To be brief, the washer had to be replaced several times due to various issues. Kris, Shawn, and Jim M. in the appliance department were EXCELLENT! They were very apologetic and went above and beyond on several occasions to resolve the issue. I was pleasantly surprised at the level of follow up they all demonstrated, their professionalism, and overall customer service. I would highly recommend the appliance department at Lowe's and will definitely buy from them again, based on the wonderful employees! read more

I stopped in at this Lowe's on my lunch hour because I needed a faucet handle replacement for my shower. I had the old faucet and all the pieces with me in a plastic bag. I walked over to the faucets and selected two that I thought might work. I really wanted to ask one of the employees since they're so typically helpful at this Lowe's. Unfortunately, that was not the case today. There was an employee a couple aisles over (balding, glasses, mid-40's I'm guessing) and I asked him if he could help me select the right faucet handle. He took my plastic bag and the handles I had and quite rudely said, "Do you know the manufacturer?" I said no - that's why I brought in the handle and pieces. He practically threw my plastic bag and the two handles back at me and said, "Well, I don't know if one of these will work. I can't guarantee nothing." (His exact words). I was actually quite surprised at his lack of helpfulness. I went back and looked at the handles again and decided what I had was as close as I was going to get. As I came around the corner of the aisle to leave, a dad and his young son were just coming around the corner from talking to the that same employee. I overhead the man say, "Because he was unwilling to help." Lowe's on Sawmill - you need to put this man in the back or send him back through customer training as he obviously didn't get the message the first time. He is not doing you any favors. I went in to do a return and make a few small purchases. I was helped by four different people and each one of them was extremely nice and very helpful. Two of them took the time to walk me across the store to find exactly what I needed. It was very refreshing to get service this great in a big box store. I have always preferred Lowes over Home Depot, but it's a bit farther to drive to from my house. I will gladly go the extra distance to shop here from now on. read more

I ordered for storm door on labor day weekend. Paid $35 advance to request measurement for installation. Someone was going to call me in 48 hours to schedule measurement. No body called as of yet. I went to the store seven days later and talked to the manager Dan. He was going to email the contractor and make sure that I get a call. I always LOVE mine LOWES! I should know! I am one of the first crew member who work there when the store was first in the Dublin Ohio location! I was their from11/99 to 06/03 if I can rember that back. It was the fun place to work with and grow. My late father use to work there for 3 month and he quit and got a other paiding job but He did miss Lowe discount and when few thing doesn't sale their discount and that the BEST price you can get! Better then ANY home center/hardware you can think of! LOWES rocks! Saddy I moved out of state to CA and there is NO and mean NO LOWES in the northen Bay Area. You can find Lowes all way down way south of Lowes and it will take you 2 to 6 hours to find a Lowes or Go to the East bay IF you can find 1. I saw a few of them in the SAC CA but that a good 4.5 hours long to get a Lowes near by and if you live in Gold Country the drive is MUCH more then 5 hours LONG! I truelly HATED Home Depot! Do not go to this Lowes. This might be the worst service I've ever had. Ordered a washer and dryer online. Got a call that the only ones they had left of that model were the floor model. I asked what my options were. They transferred me to the appliance group. The not so happy lady answered and started off that she was busy and would call me back. Left my name and number and no call back. So 7 hours later I called and asked for the appliance group. Another not so happy person answered and couldn't find my order by phone number or my order number. So another transfer to the customer service desk. Yes a dropped call so I had to explain the entire situation again. They told me to call another store and get them their. I asked for all the peoples names and the head cashier put down the phone and I could still hear them talking. She didn't say anything but I heard a guy say is he still on the phone and then that's funny. Well a minute later the assistance store manager picks up and I had to explain again. She then told me that my order was cancelled. I asked who and how I would have know that and she said I'm telling you now. So there was not a email or a call or even any other options of a washer and dryer that I could purchase. She then said that I would have to order through another store. I asked why my order couldn't be passed to the other store and delivered from that store. I what I got was that is not possible and I had to do that or wait for up to 6 months for them to come in. Now that couldn't happen because my order was cancelled. They are not willing to do anything but get by. The service is horrible. Don't help them by using this store. Not worth the hassle. read more
