Most difficult online dealings I have ever experienced!!! They seem to promise the moon but mostly delay everything you buy!!!!

I have recently had many bad experiences with the one on Montana and Joe Battle. It has gone down for some reason. Well for me anyway. The customer service is bad. They won't answer the phone, and they hang up on you. I stopped going there, now I go to the one on Rojas which is way far for me. At least I know the service will be better. read more

tried to purchase a stove for my parents for christmas. Bought it online. Tried to buy as much as possible to make this as hassle free as possible. Throughout the process the website recommended things like hoses, and warranty and haul away which I added to the order. Scheduled it for Dec 21. A few days before deliver the order status page says it's supposed to be delivered Dec 22. Inconvenient but fine. I get a call Dec 21 saying it's out for delivery. No one is home since the status page said Dec 22. I call and have it rescheduled for Dec 22. During delivery on the 22nd they said they can't uninstall the old unit because they're not plumbers; they're just delivery people. That wasn't communicated during the order process, although there is a webpage somewhere that explains this, I found later. Tried to cancel the order. Couldn't do it online. Online chat support says I have to do it in person. I drive 70miles to the store and they say they can't cancel the order because it's out for delivery. I call lowe's customer service 1800number and they'll have the store manager call me in 24hrs for a resolution. I get a call the next day Dec 24 in the morning, but no one is on the line. I call back and the manager says the stove is out for delivery. I tell them no one is home to receive the stove, and the next deliver date is Jan 5 2023, obviously way after xmas. I call the lowes 1800number again and explain what's going on. They make an effort to find a new store that has it in stock that can deliver it Dec 26 but suddenly the price for the warranty is $10 more and no one knows why and no one has any idea why there's a price difference. I spent at least 4-5hours on the phone, online etc trying to make this happen, and ultimately NOTHING happened. I still can't even cancel the original order. read more

I recently started going to this Lowe's instead of the Home Depot right down the road, mainly due to Home Depots long line to get in the door (COVID precaution). But every time I have been here, they've had exactly what I needed with minimal to wait at the checkouts. The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is the lack of customer service. I'll get asked if I want central air more by the salesman roaming the aisles than I will get asked if I need any assistance or am finding things ok. Why, oh, why...must a simple installation job be so painful? Honestly, this last install job I requested and have been dealing with over the last 4 weeks (yeah, that's right...4 f*cking weeks!) makes the idea of passing a kidney stone seem less painful by comparison. Ah, but my discomfort with Lowe's installation goes even further than the inordinate length of time I had to wait in between their tedious, multiple visits. Just when I thought they couldn't get any worse than mislabeling their own stock, Lowe's manages to hit a (wait for it)... *puts shades on*....new low. (yyeeeeeaaaaahhhh!) Let me carefully explain how the installation process works here. Say you want to have a piece of hardware installed by Lowe's, but you happen to purchase your product elsewhere (I.E. online) like I did. You pay them an initial $35 fee so they can come survey your house to verify the work that needs to be done, then charge you the additional $80 or however much the job will cost in order to cover labor. Okay. Nothing unusual so far. Except.. Why is it necessary for me to make multiple, separate trips back and forth to the store over several weeks when I could just pay the total cost up front? Why can't this transaction happen online? Why was it necessary for me to sign the contract for the installation itself DAYS AFTER I paid for said installation? Why couldn't I have just signed the damn contract the same day I made the payment? But wait, there's more!.. Why does Lowe's insist that the installation team will contact you within 48 hours after receiving payment to schedule an appointment when it really takes them closer to 3 or 4 days? And why did I have to call THEM first rather than vice versa? Better yet...why couldn't I just schedule the appointment IN the damn store the same day I completed payment and signed the contract? What I'm trying to ask here is...WHY IS THIS PROCESS SO CONVOLUTED, STUPID AND CIRCULAR? WHY? WHAT?! WHYYYY???!! Oh, and let's talk about how retarded and inconvenient their customer phone service is. Ya know it initially took me over 15 minutes of my life I'll never get back in order to reach the plumbing department? That's because I kept getting passed around in circles from department to department. It was like riding a merry-go-round. After prom night. Whilst drunk. And waking up on said merry-go-round with a hangover the next morning. The guy they sent to finally install the garbage disposal almost wanted to give up at the first obstacle...twice. First, the piece to the original disposal wouldn't fit the new one. He tells me this in such a way like the job can't be complete. I stare at him, shrug my shoulders and ask, "Can't you just hook up a new piece to make it fit so that it will be secure?" His response: "Yeah. Yeah...we could probably do that. Lemme see what I have in the van.." Second thing: he wasn't sure how to connect the whole thing with the extra parts it came with, since this was only supposed to be a "basic install". I explain to him how all of this was already surveyed by his supervisor and it shouldn't be a problem. Even if they ended up not using the hoses the new one came with, as long as they found a way to install it, the job would still be complete. Like...do I REALLY have to tell a professional contractor this stuff? Seriously?! I'm a computer tech--not a plumber! Yet I know a little bit more about thinking outside the box than this guy apparently. 4 weeks and 80 million years later, I've just about had my fill with this particular Lowe's. If they weren't so close to my place of residence, I would stop going. Truth is...sometimes a guy needs screwdrivers or his house key copied. But at least I can take supreme satisfaction in knowing I can warn other patrons to take your install jobs elsewhere. This place makes a better tool shed than a hardware store. Lowe's on Montana is a few socket wrenches short of a full toolbox. Barely even worth 1 bent, rusty nail out of 5! read more

This place is your average Lowe's. Inside, it's what you'd expect from a Lowe's: ton's of hardware, home decorating, etc. all organized in a fashion that only makes sense to the store designer. The only gripe I have with this location is - what appears to be - a lack of staff to assist customers. If I have a question, I sort of get the feeling I'm on my own and end up resorting to Google to find help. Outside of that, the store location itself is great; being super easy to get to and having lots of other stores around. I always come here for my home improvement needs. Not sure if praising the store or the employees, but this Lowe's has a true asset in their employees in the paint dept. Specifically Anna. Anyone who has ever tried to figure out specific wood stains or finishes has probably experienced how difficult it is to be absolutely certain you have picked out the Right one - mainly because the tiny little pieces of wood never really give a true depiction of what is in the cans. We were just about to go to the check out counter with our choices when Anna came along and (with a great deal more sincere desire to help) asked if we needed any help and offered to answer any questions. Boy- was I Glad that I decided to see if perhaps she COULD help us figure it all out. She has lots of suggestions of ways to make the process much easier as well as a LOT more reassuring. And we were SO glad we asked her. After SHE was able to actually SHOW us what the stain we had been about to buy looked like on wood - we immediately Knew that one was the Wrong one. After which she was extremely helpful in helping to pick out a much better choice. Asking her for assistance was the best choice we made in the store. To make it even more impressive - after another employee came over to help her in helping us, it became apparent to me that she was actually supposed to be leaving her shift for the day. The guy that helped out was Also Very helpful and had a great attitude, but it shows such a truly great work ethic when someone makes absolutely sure that a customer has what they needs - rather than simply passing a customer off on someone else because it's time to go home. Walked in looking for a unique bulb replacement, and seen a random employee and asked if he could call for help -- he said he worked pretty much in all depts and he could help. We walked over to the bulb section he quickly found the bulb and I was in and out. Cashiers are friendly, and the store appeared very organized. read more

I wish I could leave a rating of zero, because that's all they are worth. Lowe's overall has the worse customer service and they don't realize it's because of customers that they exist. They have no integrity and they are dishonest (maybe not dishonest, they just don't tell you the truth) and try to rip you off. I purchased a gas range that of course they didn't have it in stock, so I had to wait two weeks. Then, we paid extra to have them to remove the old stove, but when they got there they surprisingly told me I had to disconnect it myself, because they don't do that. Well, my only issue with that is why didn't you tell me that when I paid extra. The delivery guy just said, oh well sorry; in such a nonchalant way. read more

I must say, I was truly disappointed with this Lowe's location. I went in here with the intention of purchasing a new dishwasher. My current dishwasher had died on me earlier that day, so I was not going home that day without a new one. After entering the store, I made my way to the appliances section. I walked around for a moment, got an idea of the dishwashers I wanted to inquire about, then I proceeded to look for a Lowe's employee. There was no one around. The store was fairly dead; it was early Sunday afternoon during the last week before payday. Yet there was still not an employee to be seen. I walked the area around the appliance section with my boys for a few minutes, then finally saw a few employees walking down one of the aisles together. I stopped, and asked for help in appliances. They said they couldn't help me, but would call someone who could. Then they walked off. So I headed back to the Dishwasher section to wait for help. I waited for almost 45 minutes. Finally, the employee for the appliance section showed up. I asked him my questions, and he tried to answer. They did not have either of the dishwashers I was interested in stock, even though the signs on the displays clearly said they were. I asked the gentleman to search the inventories for the other stores in town for the machines I wanted. He did, and told me which store had them (Which turned out to be false. I traveled to those stores, and they were not in stock there either.). While Lowe's has always had a good selection, and normally has everything in stock, they disappointed big time today. This is one of the cleanest and best kept Lowe's stores that I have visited. I usually hate to visit big box supply stores but they are open during times that my usual vendors are not. This one is one where I can count on finding what I need without having to rummage through the other plumbing fitting boxes to find what I need. read more

Just had horrible experience at far east store off Montana 79938. Spoke to a manager on cell prior to driving to store. He agreed to honor discount in washer/dryer set I intended to buy! I arrived an encounter Jennifer the store Manager. She rudely interrupted me said " i dont care what he said, I am his boss and I say No" immediately called corporate and asked that district manager JJ contact me. Hopefully will hear from him soon, to suggest a course for Jennifer on how to speak & treat customers. Needless to say did not make purchase. Will be going to Best Buy read more

Should be called Lowe's Needs Improvement. Where to begin. Customer service is non existent, the help you do get is inaccurate, and If I had a nickel every time I was directed to the wrong location by a an employee I'd hire someone to go through the frustrating task of shopping there. I don't know if I can say it's all the employees fault though, for whatever reason the changes placement of products continually. The managomust be bored and feels the need to do something I guess. Barking orders seems like a waste maybe think before you do things. Sometimes change is good but not when you're looking for something that is not where you expect it. Sometimes it doesn't even make sense. The only plus is they do have a lot of things close by but you have to work for it. If you're up for a challenge put on some walking shoes and be ready for your daily exercise to find what you need. Oops it's out of stock or there's nobody there to put it on the shelf. read more

Not only is no one ever around and if you purchase an appliance more than likely the person who is setting up the purchase doesn't work there. So be ready to get told that there are more items you need to purchase and lowes won't install them after your item has been delivered. Terrible experience with one of their contractors. I bought shutters (almost $3000.00) and they showed up to start with the project more than a month after the initial purchase. Lowe's hurried up just because I called them to see why it was taking so long. The contractor finally showed up and he couldn't finish the job so he stop by the following week and he didn't do a single thing. He told me that he was going to stop next day because he didn't bring the proper tools or the measurements that he took were wrong, (an excuse I guess). And the next day he was supposed to come to finish the work and he never showed up, so I called him and he told me he wasn't able to do the job. I always send my husband alone because I don't like the way I get treated here. This time one of the items we needed was not marked properly (as usual). The cashier was new and didn't know what to do. The cashier's supervisor was less than helpful and was quite rude. It took a good 10 to 15 minutes before they were able to get the right price. I've only been to this Lowe's once. I went without my hubby just kind of wandering. Was really looking for flat egg stones. I walked around the outdoor garden center for twenty minutes and no one bothered to ask if I needed help nor was there really any employees around to ask for help. I finally found someone inside near the indoor plants and the guy informed me the only stones they carry are in the large industrial bags and that I would probably not be looking for something so large (which is true, but the assumption was irritating). I finally wandered around by the indoor plants and finally decided on purchasing a snake plant and a pot. Fair price I paid nine dollars total for the plant and the pot together. I also found myself in the paint department. I looked all around for an employee in this particular section of the store, again with no such luck. I was looking for chalk paint and could not find it. I was disappointed because I was hoping an employee walking by going through other sections would stop and ask if I needed help considering I was alone in the aisle looking lost. But I soon found that the employees who did pass me were too busy to stop and offer assistance. Maybe if I bring my hubby I'll get more help. Seems as if they don't care about their customers. This is extremely frustrating because my husband works a lot and sometimes I go out and try to do things on my own, but without the help of a Lowe's associate I found it very difficult. Our visit to Lowe's on 12100 Montana was very disappointing. We went in of Friday and purchased a fire pit. We took it home and were really excited to put it up and enjoy it. When we opened the box the fire pit was bent on two sides, it was damaged! So we didn't get to enjoy as we had planned. We went back the next day to exchange it. We exchanged for the same kind of fire pit and the price was $59 but the cashier told us it was $65. We asked her to please check because we knew it was $59, she told us WE had to go all the way back and take a picture of the price and show her because the register said $65. So we walked all the way back, took a picture and showed it to her. The price was $59. It's sad that they don't even know the price of the items at their own store, and that they don't update the prices on the cash registers and make it so inconvenient for their customers. We will not be going to this store again, not when we have other choices. read more

My shopping experience at Lowe's started off as nightmare on March 23, 2019. My wife and I went to buy a Maytag washer and dryer bundle on special sale on the Rojas location and after waiting for about 1/2 hour to see if they had them in stock, I went to pay for them only to be told at the checkout counter that they didn't have the washer after all. Since it was closing time the customer service told us that the Lowe's on Montana location had 3 of them. The following day we went to get them only to be told again they didn't have any. On Wednesday March 27, we called up ahead to see if we could pay for them to have them delivered on Saturday and the person from Appliances who answered the phone said they would deliver them if we paid for them that day. We drove there all the way from Horizon one more time only to be told again that they would not get any more shipments of the washer and dryer we wanted till the following Wednesday and delivering them some time after that. A "David" the person who answered the phone and we dealt with the whole time there denied that he put out the bogus information over the phone that made us drive there the second time. Fortunately, when I went to complain about the lies, deception, and altogether runaround we were being victims of, the Lowe's on the Montana Ave. location does have a true professional and resourceful manager in Ramon, who was called Ray. Up until Ray showed up, we had been treated as if we had been asking for a favor, handout, or charity when it was strictly a business transaction where I was to provide money and Lowe's a product or service. Ray in his sharp and tactful approach quickly diffused a potentially ugly situation and resolved the problem on the spot where my family and I were satisfied customers. A couple of years at charm school for employees like David wouldn't hurt them at all. On the other hand, highly trained managers in tactfulness, resourcefulness, ingenuity, and customer satisfaction like Ray are hard to find, an asset to any business, and deserve more recognition. read more

I love home improvement stores, and Lowe's is one of them. They have everything you need from home appliances, paint, light fixtures, air conditioners, to all the lawn and garden supplies to fix up your outdoor area. Im giving this location 3 stars because the employees here aren't too helpful. I asked a guy for help and he said he was busy and then walked away. I asked another guy and fortunately it was the manager so he was extremely helpful. They usually have one to two employees at the register and they take their time while checking others out. There is usually a long line at checkout. But I do love coming here just to get ideas of what I want my home interior to look like, and the estimate of all costs. This store is very organized so you can find all you're looking for in the same vicinity without too much hassle. They can easily be compared to Home Depot which I believe is less organized. read more

Horrible! If your going to get something installed for your home, DONT!. They had a person come out to our house to take measurements for a door install. They too measurements and told me my amount. They charged my account and only giving me a paper i signed for the order. Made a appointment the following week. The contractor came and took one look at our frame and said " we can't do it" when asked why, he stated " door will not fit". Call Lowe's and told me they will have to look what they need to do cause they don't know. Gary said he would call me back, never did and i had to call. Also he is very rude, like saying " well what do you want me to do". Following the next 5 days Gary says he would call and never would. Then Gary said Lowe's can't do this door cause it won't fit. After 2weeks if this i had to get a refund. While waiting for my refund to be processed, they had to get Gary to come to the counter, the male sales teammate said to the other teammate that was female " you go get Gary, he only likes women". My problem is not with the Lowes store, or it's employees. They have been very fair, friendly, and courteous thru my entire ordeal. My issue is with one of their installer companies. Reliable Plumbing. Installers who do not know that water flows downhill. Owner who is rude, discourteous, and very unprofessional. If you see a Reliable Plumbing truck pull up after a Lowes Appliance purchase, and are not able to convince Lowes to send another installation plumbing company, be absolutely certain that the plumber goes over the installation completed checklist with you. And you witness all that he has checked off as complete. Remember..."Licensed and Bonded" does NOT mean the plumber knows his craft. read more

I have discovered that this Lowes location has higher prices and they will not adjust their price to reflect the price at any of the other Lowes stores. I went to the Lowes on Rojas and found a bathroom vanity for $209 regular price was $299 but they had sold out and were waiting on more to arrive. They checked in their system and Lowes on Montana had 2 left. I went to the Montana Lowes and their price was $299. I explained that the Lowes on Rojas had the price of $209 and asked if they could call and verify to match their price. I was told that they could not and that maybe I had mistaken that price. I left and called another Lowes on the west side to see if they had the vanity in stock and asked their price and they also showed the lower price $209 and told me it is clearly the advertised price. I explained that the Lowes on Montana didnt have that price and the lady said it is in her system and shows that price. I went back inside and spoke with customer service but they stated that their price is $299 and they couldn't lower it to the price that the other Lowes had it for. Long story short, I had to drive out to the west side to purchase the vanity (actually got 2 of them) and even though I live on the east side, the west side had the better price. read more
