Just returned from Lowes in Raymond, NH. Its Sunday but there just is no one around to ask where to go to find something, no real recommendations, and the gutter section area does not have the inventory. I go there a number of times a month for different items so this comment is based on that. I will say the employees are nice if you can find them. read more

Good if you can find what you're looking for in the store. If you have to order it and have it sent to the store, All bets are off. Two times I've done this and they just can't seem to have it ready for pick up after it's been delivered to the store two days ago. I shop here often. Today a rude manager, I think his name was Paul on his name tag? Didn't communicate what he needed and was rudely staring us down in the wood aisle because he had a task he wanted to complete in the aisle we were shopping in. Instead of communicating that he wanted to complete something that would only take five minutes he rudely spoke loudly to his fellow employees to put pressure on us to hurry up and to stare us down from either end of the aisle. He had his co-worker rudely honk the horn on the machine he was using as well. Honestly it just made me feel uncomfortable and did not give me a good shopping experience. read more

This Lowe's is always pretty busy, staff is hard to find and it is almost always hard to check out. The area has a ton of traffic too so unless you need to go here i would choose another location or a late night time to go. Even at odd hours like early afternoon and first thing in the morning it is hard to get in and out of here in less than 40 minutes. read more

Jamie in the Millwork department is a complete gem. She is a go getter, knows her stuff and is willing to help anyway possible. I have not had the same experience with the other departments in the store. The employees are not specialists; try to help but in many cases don't have a clue. You need to know what you need and not ask them for advise. In addition, the pickup desk is an utter joke. They will call you DAILY to let you know something is there and they need you to get it because they "don't have room" yet it is a 30,000 square foot WAREHOUSE. yet when you do go to pick up you have to wait for someone to free up from customer service or someone who doesn't know the computer systems. Let the know if it was ordered IN STORE or ONLINE as this will literally save you 30 minutes of your life. Painful processes all around; except for Jamie in Millwork. read more

Being DIYers, with multiple ongoing projects, we are at Lowe's frequently. The staff are friendly, helpful and place is always tidy. Usually they have good stock on things we are looking for. Though they recently didn't have any precut 1/2" tubing we needed for humidifier unit that is attached to the furnace. Had to wait for an available associate to cut a length. Two were busy with other customers (everyone was hanging out in the plumbing department apparently) but someone from appliances happened to come by and was able to assist. We bought our fridge there a couple years ago when they had a half price sale. Nice deal. Delivery and installation service was good, and they carted away the malfunctioning old (all of 10 years!) one away for free to be recycled. read more

Read the fine print... We rented a carpet cleaner from Lowe's for 24 hours. I called the following day to extend it by one more day and they said it would be another $10, which was fine. I ended up keeping it an additional day (so a third day) after that due to getting very sick. When I went to return it, which was admittedly one day later than I'd said, they charged another entire rental fee because their maximum rental is 48 hours. Of course, I could've read that in the contract. They also could've told me when I called to extend it by one day the first time. Simple enough to say " sure, we can extend it by another day for $10 but if you keep it one more day you will be paying an additional $30 on top of that. Somewhat my own fault for not asking again, so I had to shell out another $30 for another full 24 hour rental. I'm sure this happens to plenty of people and that it's part of how they make their money. If you don't want to end up paying a ton of money, return the machine on time and don't expect them to tell you about hidden fees. They also wanted to charge another additional $20 fee because it wasn't clean enough so I brought it back out to the parking lot and cleaned it again to avoid that $20 fee. I tend to like Lowe's overall but this particular carpet cleaner was not super effective anyway. It was old and leaked water from the get-go. Honestly wasn't really worth it even for the regular price, never mind after paying an additional $30 and almost another $20 for not cleaning it correctly. They really nickel and dime on this particular thing. Another example, if you want any attachments to come with your vacuum then you have to pay an additional $10 per day for those as well. Looking at the storage, they're full of more machines so they certainly weren't losing money on my vacuum being a day late. Feels pretty close to a scam to me but I fell for it and have learned my lesson. Going to go buy a good rug shampoo vacuum at this point. Less than a year ago, we purchased brand new Samsung appliances from this store. Fridge, microwave, oven and dishwasher. The fridge was dented upon delivery. The dishwasher was first to quit on us, and thankfully we knew someone who could fix it. Next was the oven. It would preheat, and then shut off. Even though we had a 3 year warranty, it took 4 trips to the house by a repair man, 3 months of ordering parts, and 4 days taken off of work to be home when the repair man was scheduled. After the 3 months of no oven, and arguing with the manager, they sent us the floor model of the oven. Next was the microwave. It took 6 weeks and 2 "repairs" before they gave us a new microwave. Then came the fridge. We knew we had a 5 year warranty on it, so when it broke, we were hoping it would be fixed quickly. Lowes was unwilling to work with us at first. We called for 3 days between Samsung and Lowes before they finally sent someone out to look a week later, and go figure, they need to order parts, and we're looking at 10 more days until they come in. And finally, our new microwave has broken again. Same error code as before. Lowes has now told us that they will not work with our family any more at fixing the cheaply made, yet very expensive appliances that we have purchased at their store. This is after we have spent tens of thousands already to buy supplies to remodel our house, including the roof, floors, light fixtures inside and out, paint, etc. I am extremely disappointed in their customer service and willingness to fix what has happened with the products they sold us. read more

I like LOWE'S better than the other Large Home Improvement store. The big home improvement stores are about price. Isn't that why we consumers go there. In order to keep the prices low, the wages paid are not the top paying. Keeping that in mind, I am thankful for the home improvement stores. When I can, I prefer Lowe's. While keeping the above in mind, I find Lowe's to be better in most areas over Home Depot. Better product, service, and price in many cases. : ) read more

Staff was very rude to my wife. I asked to speak with the Manager. She would not listen to my concerns and just ignored me. She helped enter the product info into the register and when we were done never asked what the issue with the staff was. Last time I purchase a big ticket item there. The staff at this location were willing to help and always there for assistance as needed. Lowes doesn't have what you need in pieces, like a supply house or home depot would.. they sell things in whole packages. Instead of getting the plumbing part you need, you need to buy a whole kit, which kind of defeats the purpose of DIYism. We always have better luck at home depot for single parts and for overall selection. I'm not knocking Lowe's, I'm sure its good for whole projects, just not for minimal piece by piece fixes, at least in the plumbing section. read more

Service is terrible bought a lawn tractor there and mowed twice and had to have it sent out for repairs. This location is typical of most Lowes with ample selections of home improvement and gardening supplies. It is conveniently located just of Route 101 in Epping, an easy stop if you use this route for commuting. Occasionaly there will be a traffic logjam coming of the highway during peak hours but most of the time it is clear right to the store. I prefer Home Depot to Lowes but if asked cannot provide a good reason for doing do. read more

Washer/Dryer purchase problems! First let me say that the employee's at this Lowes store have been very responsive to a systemic issue with a Maytag washer and dryer purchase from this location. I've now had three Maytag Bravo's washers fail within two weeks of their operation (one of the first try). The Epping store has been helpful with exchanging those units and their appliance department and deliver staff are good people. That said, during the exchange process I've asked multiple times if there is a known issue with the appliance I purchased. The resounding answer from Lowes staff has been "no". On my third failure I decided to consult consumer reports. It's clear that the units (both washer and dryer) are complete trash and have systemic mother board and water fill issues. I spoke with the Epping store manager today and asked that I be sent upgraded units to replace the ones sold to me that have been known to be defective and have now failed for a third time. The answer from this manager was "No", it's not our fault, you can return them for a refund and purchase others. I take exception to this response for a few primary reasons, which I communicated to this store manager. 1. The Maytag units were purchased during their July sale... Lowes proposed solution is for me to spend hundreds of dollars more picking out new machines, during a non-sale period, with no compensation or sale availability. 2. There have been multiple days taken away from work to accommodate multiple deliveries and returns, for which my work loss cost has been substantial. 3. I've now gone since July without working machines in my home, and have had to make accommodations elsewhere (time and money). 4. Lastly, evidence within consumer reporting supports that the appliances sold to me are not reliable, not even close. My experience with these appliance should be enough evidence to provide an upgraded unit at no additional cost! I do not think it's unreasonable for Lowes (at very least) to eat the cost of an upgraded appliance (something reliable) given their lack of due-diligence in carrying a known "faulty" appliance. I'm disappointed with the store manages inability to in good faith help me to resolve this situation in a fair manner and i'm VERY disappointed in Lowes for selling me and sending me three appliances with known manufacture issues... Systemic issues, as it's been described within Consumer Reporting!!! Sorry Lowes, you've lost a customer for life, and I still have a lot of tools to buy and home project to do... Off to Sears and Home Dept I go to purchase a washer and dryer that works. read more

I find the staffing at Lowe's of Epping to be friendly and helpful to the best of their ability. I am sure with this whole Coronavirus situation going on they are nervous, understaffed due to absenteeism, and wondering why the heck people are not taking this situation seriously and staying at home. Is buying potting soil, flowers and yard material really a necessity in our survival tactics? Please people rethink your values before going into any essential store. These workers are putting their life's on the line for the community. If waiting in line next to strangers who may be infected is your idea of fun, then go for it. I myself will not be going out unless I need the essentials, pipe bursting in house, refrigerator broken, food and household. I believe everyone one should be thanking anyone working in a public place and taking care of the community. Please think twice before you go out into the public, ask yourself "Do I really need it to survive." read more

This store (Epping NH) is under a remodel for kitchen cabinets. The employees are very stressed out. I was in the store yesterday and could not find any one to help me in the tile section. I stood in front of three employees one man and two women having a conversation and whatever they were talking about was more important than the customer standing in front of them. Not one stopped to ask what I needed or offered to help me, I was completely ignored. They all stood in the flooring section as if I was not even there. I said excuse me and interrupted their conversation and asked if one of them could help me, one of ladies literally looked at the other two employees, threw her hands in the air and rolled her eyes at the other two employees and went with me to isle I needed help in. She knew nothing about the tile I was asking about and was upset when I asked if she could page someone to help me who was knowledgeable about the flooring, she paged someone, but they never showed up. I was walking out of the store, went down an aisle to walk out and found an employee in the middle of the aisle texting on his personal cell phone. This store is the absolute worst for customer assistance. Home Depot is #1, they drop everything when they see you coming to help you, take you to the isle, or explain what you need to get job started or to finish the job. SHOULD BE ZERO STARS!!!! AWFUL EXPERIENCE!!!! If I were to type out my whole situation it would be a novel. Long story short all my issues started from the moment I walked into that store and my issues didn't end even after calling the so called manager there and I even had to call corporate TWICE! I even complained to the XPO delivery service a few times as well. Needless to say this company as a whole is awful, they do not value there customers ONE BIT! I spent good money on a washer and dryer set only to have it installed wrong, they forgot to bring my new vent for the dryer, when they came back several days later after promising to come back that same day they then installed it wrong causing a leak in the box above the dryer that the vent goes in. Now I'm getting an icon on my dryer for an issue with the vent. They didn't even bring there own duct tape to install it when they came back. The two men literally said "do you have duct tape" not thinking I did I handed them packing tape and said "that's all I have" and they started to use this thin packing tape to hold up this big 6 or 7 foot vent. Luckily I ended up finding duct tape! And they couldn't even put that on correctly it was falling off after they left. Well I know I'm rambling on now but that's just how awful this experience was and just so everyone knows that no one helped me not any person that I talked to! I called at least 10 to 15 different times corporate, XPO, epping, spoke to several people in management as well and got nothing but a run around. And the best part is I was promised someone was going to come out today and guess what NO ONE EVER SHOWED UP! this novel does not even describe all the hell I went through with this situation. Bought a refrigerator at Lowe's a week ago, delivery date slated for today. I had 2 choices, friday or saturday. I had work both days, so i opted to lose saturday. When i didn't get a call the previous night for delivery time, i suspected something was up so i called lowe's. While i hung on the phone, they called delivery company who promised a delivery between 2 4. BY 4:36 i called Lowes once again....do I have to tell you what i heard? They called my number but a message said i didn't live there any more....what a crock of....I'm a die hard Lowe's fan, but this just took the cake, to make matters worse, the old fridge is dying by the second. fruit is molding, veggies all soft. it's almost 8p and i still haven't heard a word from them, not a single word. Guess that's the last time I buy a large appliance from them. I might buy a mailbox, or some nuts and bolts, but large appliances will go better at Home Depot, or someone local mom and pop shop, no more chances for Lowe's. read more

Worst customer service ever!! These people hate their job. I went to Lowell's today to get a few things for a leak we have in our bathtub when we first walked in there was a gentleman standing in the appliance department and we asked him if there was anyone in the plumbing department that could help us without hesitation he says look around first and if u don't find anyone in any aisles I can see if I can help u, as we looked around for about 10min we find two guys standing around in the last aisle so I approached one of them and said excuse sir he doesn't even turn around just say your excuses in the rudest voice ever when he turned around gave us a look and rolled his eyes I was confused on why he was so rude so I repeated you are excuse and he says yes you are I made sure to get his name "MIKE" and as I was checking out I notice a lady upfront just standing around I asked her if she was the manager and she says no I'm a cashier and walks away nettles to say I won't be back here please try hiring people that aren't just doing this to wast time until retirement hit they are not pleasant to deal with and they sure as hell arent happy to work for you. I was just at this Lowe's location last night to pick up a product for my mother, which she had picked up there before. I walked in with a picture of the product and asked one employee if they knew where I could find it. She was unsure and asked a younger employee who looked at the picture for 5 seconds and said they don't carry anything like that there and proceeded to tell me to go to a completely different store because her mother recently purchased a similar product. I found out this afternoon that this store does in fact sell the product I was looking for. I went into this location a half an hour before the store closed, knowing what I wanted. If they had taken the time to look on their computer to see that they carried it, I could have been out of there within at least 5 minutes. But instead of doing her job, the younger employee decided to send me on my way. If I do go back to this store, I'll be sure to check the website first and just find the product myself. read more

Bought a Pella Lifestyle 450 left hand sliding door from the Lowes in Epping NH along with their install service. Was quoted aprox $500 to install. They came out did a site survey and called me on the day of install claiming that the contractor wanted an additional $300 to do the install because the opening had to be widened and the tiles near the door needed to be cut. turns out that tiles are vinyl stick downs and can be cut with a razor blade and the existing opening did not require any widening to fit the new door. My son was on site during the install and the contractor told him that the door popped right in. Looking at the original receipt they gave me they also charged me for three 1x6x8 primed white molding pieces which they didn't even install, they used my old ones!!! The contractor cut my Alarm sensor off and buried the wire in the wall! I spent 4 days about two calls each day and was place on hold for over a 1/2 hr each time, in the end they said they discounted the door to make up for it but refused to show me the numbers or the proof. I got stuck with a bill of $2050.85 when the door was on sale for $961 and the install was supposed to be less than $500. They stole aprox $600 from me! I've field a charge dispute with Lowed Advantage Credit Card Company. Steer clear of these thieves at the Lowes in Epping, NH millright department. Never again! read more

I had purchased some doors from Lowe's in Epping, New Hampshire. The door frames in my home are two different sizes. Lowe's sent out their installer to measure and still they got the size on one of the 2 exterior doors wrong. As a result, I had to wait an additional 3 weeks for the door to be rebuilt. During the installation of the first door, the installers left a mess in the front yard, nails, trash, etc. They took the storm door that went with the 2nd door back to the store so they could install both at the same time. When they finally came out the 2nd time, they forgot the storm door and NOW want ME to wait and additional week to get it installed, even though the door is already at the store waiting!! If they make an error, they should prioritize fixing the error before new installations, All of these errors were on their part and yet I am the one who has to suffer for their incompetence! Will NEVER purchase an installed product from them ever again!!! read more

I had a refrigerator purchase that took nearly a month to deliver because of Lowes screw up. Once it was delivered the delivery company, XPO, drivers were rude, crude, combative and sexually abusive. towards my girlfriend. They damaged my stairs and the younger one wanted to assault my girlfriend because of his damage he caused and having to go up some stairs. The older driver put him in the truck to cool off. They then tried to take off without putting thr=e refrigerator together and in its place. My girlfriend ran after them to have them finish the job. The older gentleman gave her a hard time and they were swearing at her making her very nervous and uncomfortable. The older gentleman then started to put it together and the younger one came back into the house swearing to get the older man to hurry up. The older man then said he was kissing ass in here and that it wasn't bad at all and made innuendos toward my girlfriend. This really scared my girlfriend and she called me and had them leave. Lowes only called XPO to explain their concerns after I complained to them and never followed up with me or offered any compensation. XPO apologized, but hardly would return my texts and made a small offer. I said it was not good enough and then they came down on their original offer instead of compromising. I gave them a deadline on my counteroffer and they never got back to me.I am now suing XPO and Lowes read more

We have been dealing with ordering a Samsung hood vent since end of may this year when we started our kitchen renovations. Our first one we got had a huge dent in the side visible and with a price of $1000 we returned for a new one. The second one took 2 months to get because of being back ordered through Samsung supposedly since every time we would call to ask why it isn't in yet customers service and managers of epping nh Lowe's would say it is Samsung's fault not Lowe's. We would ask for a detailed response when it came in or to keep finding out where it is and never got a call no response unless we continuing called. The second good vent came in looked fine until we had it wired in and turned on and the inside vent was warped and sounded like a jet plane. Now going on the 3rd good vent ordered August 25th and still not in November 26th. They still are unsure when it will be in and still are saying it's Samsung's fault not there's. It seems stores around the area say they can get it fairly quickly to store or delivery. We are not understanding why ours that was ordered in August still doesn't have a expected delivery date. Very angry about this since my entire kitchen is done except the hood vent so we can't finish our back splash or use our oven without smoke detectors or windows open. We have ordered all other appliances through Lowe's and had no issue at all but this will be the last with this unnecessary wait! read more

Being a new home owner my boyfriend and I are at Lowes every weekend for different things for around the house. We've always had great experiences and we've never had a problem.. We had gone a couple weeks ago and looked into designing our own vanity, the employee was very friendly and helpful and informed us that the information for the different design options were back ordered and to try again in a couple weeks, so we went back this past weekend.. We found the brochures for the brand that we liked that were back ordered before.. We were having fun trying to pick and chose and go through and price everything out until this particular employee came up to us. I have never met someone who works in the customer service industry be so rude and disrespectful. This first thing he says to us was "are you guys just dreaming or are you lawyers or doctors?" We were shocked and just stared at him not knowing what to say, and he continues with "I don't know you guys just seem too young to be able to afford this" I then told him we hadn't found anything else that we liked so we figured we'd design our own. My boyfriend had told him that we were just pricing things out and the employee says "I don't make commission but we have vanities that are already put together" and once again I told him we hadn't found anything we were looking for. FIRST OFF, don't be judgmental, rude and assume. You don't know us, maybe we had saved our money, maybe we are trust-fund babies, maybe we have decent jobs, maybe it was a gift. YOU DONT KNOW. So now instead of using Lowes we will just cut the middle man out and order through the makers online. I'm still in shock that anyone would even say something like that, where the "hi how can I help you"????? And I work in an industry were I communicate with 5-10 people a day and you best bet every single one of them heard about this horrible service. read more
