Caveat Emptor! Let the buyer beware! Lowes made a made a mistake on my curbside pickup order...they sent the wrong sized item. My handyman picked it up for me bc the item in question would not fit in my vehicle. The only solution I was offered after speaking with 3 customer service agents was to pay my handyman more money to return it for the correct one OR Wait a week for Lowes to bring the correct item, which means paying my handyman to come another day to install it. Either way, I have to spend an extra $50-100 because Lowes made a mistake. I used to be a loyal customer, having just spent Thousand$ on new appliances, etc. with them. I can get materials anywhere, good customer service is harder to find, and I certainly did not find it at Lowe's. I have deleted my Lowe's app and will be shopping at Home Depot from now on. read more

On June 25th, 2025 I bought a KOBALT 40 Volt Push mower to assist mowing at my Parents house 150 miles from where I live. I bought it because of the experience with a KOBALT 40 Volt Self-Propelled Mower I'd bought earlier in '25. I loved both mowers, and I always highly recommended either of them when someone asked how I liked them. However, last week on March 24th, 2026, it would not turn on. It had been sitting in the Folded Storage Position since November '25 when the growing season over. So, I loaded it up in my pickup to return to Lowe's for repair. I was told that I'd have to contact KOBALT, not Lowe's. So I Called KOBALT only to find out that since I didn't have the receipt and although I had the date it was made, the serial number, and the model number. KOBALT refused to repair or replace the mower. I was real angry, and hung up. The more I thought about it, the madder I got, so I called back. I was again refused to honor the warranty. But, the woman asked for my name and phone number, and she told me the date I bought the mower. She sent me a code to give to Lowe's to get my replacement mower, after I tuned in the defective mower. I went to Lowe's this morning to exchange mowers. But the Lowe's Store #1806 on Martin Luther King in Fayetteville, Arkansas "REFUSED TO REPLACE THE MOWER", because I didn't return the mower within 30 days of my purchase of the mower. So, I guess they expected to know the mower wouldn't last very long. I've got a lot of KOBALT Battery Tools, but I'll never buy any more tool from Lowe's, except for batteries as needed, for the life of the tools. Other than inexpensive trivia hardware, and the batteries, I'm done with Lowe's. Selling Products "With A 5 Year Warranty". and refusing to honor it after 9 months, and 1 Mowing Seadon. read more

Purchased a Bluey Christmas character on Dec 23rd for our 3 year old granddaughter. The item was marked down and on clearance. We set it up for our granddaughter on the 27th only to find out it doesn't not work. Took it back to Lowe's on the 28th and they refused to take it back instead pointing to a little notice at the customer service desk that they won't take Christmas items back past the 26th. Since I don't check that every time I go to Lowe's I had no idea it had to be returned by the 26th. Needless to say, they turned me away even though I tried to explain 1) they had to have known it didn't work since it was most likely a floor model, and 2) I wouldn't have known it didn't work until we showed it to our granddaughter. Very poor service on an item that doesn't even work. So disappointing. read more

I am a Lowes pro member for a few years now and a Lowes customer for 20+. I am currently having warranty work on a mower that seized up. I called the store I took it to for repairs and they said they wouldn't know anything for 2 to 3 weeks. When i dropped it off they said they would know something in 2 business days. My grass will be 3 feet tall and I won't be able to mow it. My yard is 2 acres and I am a disabled vet. I do not believe this is an acceptable timeframe. Watching my grass grow. read more

My teenage son, who is preparing to leave for the U.S. Air Force in a few days, purchased two tools from the Fayetteville (MLK Blvd) location. I can't imagine him going into a store being anything but polite as he LOVED his job at ChicFilA before resigning so that he could serve THIS country. With that said. He entered the store at approximately 6:30pm on 3/14/2025. He was at the Returns desk. He said employees made eye contact and continued with unprofessional banter as though he were not there. He was asked, "do you need something?" He said, "I'm here to return some tools I purchased online." He provided his online receipt. The tools were door dashed to him. They asked for proof of the price with Door Dash. He provided his bank statement. They claimed that there was no proof that it was purchased from the exact store. My son didn't escalate. (trained by good grandparents and parents, AND Chic-Fil-A) When he said that the tools were indeed purchased from the store, the manager, an elderly white man said "look dude, we just showed you we can't refund you." The hostility of this manager caused my child to leave the store to keep this small matter small. I called the store to resolve the issue, and was sent to the managers desk three times. I was sent back to Customer Service three times. The employee said they were out to lunch, although she'd just told me a manager was present. Unprofessional! Surveys TRULY make a difference, so this complaint will not stop here. read more

Horrible customer service. I purchased new receptacle and switch covers throughout my house for around $200.00. The outer coating started flaking off and looked terrible. I removed them to return to he store. Even though I had my receipts, they only returned 25% of my money. I even called the corporate office with no resolution. read more

Greg is the perfect example of customer service. I drove 30 minutes to this store only to find that they closed at 9 (I was thinking they closed at 10). I had a pickup order that was prepaid. I called the store and Greg answered. He checked with the manager and brought my order out to my car. Greg went above and beyond what was necessary. The world needs more good people like Greg. read more

I don't know what's more annoying: standing around waiting interminably for someone at Lowe's to wait on you in the appliance department. Or, after spending over $1500 to purchase a refrigerator and being assured the delivery men will install the ice maker, learning from the delivery people that they don't install ice makers. Worst of all, after receiving the refrigerator, using it for 10 days, the interior temperature began to climb and wouldn't get colder than 55 degrees. I then learned that Lowe's is no longer responsible for anything having to do with the refrigerator. The Whirlpool service department took hours on hold to get through to, and it took two weeks to get a repairman to show up. The repairman has now made four separate trips to my house, each time with a different "guess" as to what the problem may be. And this morning, when I opened the refrigerator, the inside temperature was 61 degrees. And do you know who doesn't give a damn about my problems? All the employees at the MLK Lowe's store. I am thoroughly disgusted and fed up. I have moved all my appliance business to a Metro Appliances and my hardware needs are being handled (much more efficiently) by the Ace Hardware on College Avenue. They actually have employees who are eager to help me when I walk in the door. read more

Lowe's stores is my go to store for home improvements. I've noticed that there's a shortage on appliances and freezers. I came here looking at a new freezer but your lucky to get one in 2-3 months. That's if your lucky. But Lowe's is my go to store. I like how it's laid out and easy to find the things I'm looking for. read more

Just left Lowes. There's a pandemic going on and a city ordinance stating that you are required to wear a face mask in any public business!!!! This is to stop the spread of Covid! No kidding... They're just letting people come in and leave as they want to, People are not staying distant and a lot not wearing face coverings.. bLowes employees walking around no masks on.. Some pull down below their nose.. The stuffs not gonna get any better if people don't follow the city ordinance and the guidelines from the disease control people... Wtf Lowe's.. If people aren't wearing PPE they need to get out. It's your job to enforce this!! You're gonna have to do more than just leave a bottle of hand sanitizer at the front door! read more

I'm so disappointed with Lowe's recently. We waited nearly 30 minutes to get someone to help load our purchases and had to do it ourselves and the items were heavy (roofing shingles.) And, previously, this store lied about having an item they didn't have and couldn't even get. That ended up with my husband bidding the job based on what they said. He had to purchase it elsewhere for $700 more than Lowe's said and didn't make much money on the job. read more

Our little guy has been in a "let me help" mode all day, and when we got to the register in garden center he ran around the cash register and wanted to help. Every time I go there nobody offers to help unless you run them down, then you basically have to come. Out and say can you show me? Today i was there the first person pointed where to go, and the second person at the Millwork desk just sat there in his chair, nobody was around and he was playing on his computer. I showed him a sample of what I was looking for and once again this person pointed instead of getting up out of his chair and walking a few feet to show me which was what I came for. I am moving to Farmington AR and have used the Lowe's on MLK several times as I touch up my new (to us) beautiful home. On three occasions I am sorry to say it's not been the best experience. First, earlier this year, I was shopping for a ZTR mower with a steering wheel. I was informed by the 'expert' there is no such thing, even as we looked at it in a brochure. Since it didn't exist I bought it at another store. (sarcasm) This week I went to buy a toilet flapper. I asked for the best one and was handed the wrong size. I should have checked, but it meant another trip to return it. Next I went to pick out tile. After finding what I wanted and doing all the math for amounts (this took a couple of hours) it turned out not all of one trim I wanted was at the store and was clearance. So, I was directed to the North Fayetteville store which showed as having enough. I spent an hour in that store while several people looked and couldn't find the tile (about 7 boxes). So, not happy, I returned to the MLK store to redo my design and change my purchase. Once I had it all figured out the kid who 'helped' me pushed my last button and I left angry. (He offered a designer service as I showed him my design, which slapped my ego, and then after I asked him to write it up he asked if I knew what I wanted, repeatedly. I had been standing in the aisle with tiles and a calculator for an hour. I wouldn't have asked him to write it up if I didn't know what I wanted. That was the laaaaast straw!) So, after six wasted hours trying to buy tile at Lowe's I bought the tile at a flooring store, it took less than an hour, there was excellent customer service and they had more innovative and just plain cooler stuff. read more

Our family had just moved into a new house and our washer went out at the same time. We purchased a new unit from Lowe's on MLK and set up delivery. When it was delivered, we had been sold a drain hose that wasn't needed. During set up, it was also discovered we had a clog in the drain line. I went back to the store to return the hose and purchase a "snake" at the advice of the installer. Upon arrival, I discovered we had been charged for a longer hose than the one we received but got the corrected refund - no foul. However, when we went back to get the snake, the associate "Jeff" approached my husband and said "What's the problem?" My husband explained that we had a clogged drain on the washer. Jeff said "Aw naw you're going to need a plumber for that." I said "But your delivery guy said we would only need the snake." He completely ignored me and turned to my husband as he was picking up an AUGER and said "Well this is what you're looking for. See there's this pee trap..." At this point I was irritated. I said "But there's not. I just need the snake." He said "Look Ive been doing this 20 years and there's a pee trap." I said "I know what plumbing we have. We do t have a traditional drain and it does NOT have a trap. It's open." He turns BaCK to my husband and starts explaining again how to use the auger. I said "How about you explain to ME since I'll be the one fixing it." At that point he literally put his hand up in my face, turned around and walked off! We went immediately to customer service to speak to a manager. The assistant, Josh was the only one there and was clearly not prepared to handle an escalated situation like what had happened. He said he would "talk to him." I demanded more. An apology was in order. Josh eventually went to get Jeff and he gave an insensitive and insincere apology then rudely turned and walked away right in front of the assistant manager. It was if he knew there would be no repercussions to his actions. As I told Josh, the mgr, the idea that this employee is allowed to speak to a customer so disrespectfully is not only insulting it was humiliating and degrading to women. That fact that it was not taken more seriously is absolutely appalling. We left this store, went immediately to the competitor, spent a whopping $5.48 on a DRAIN SNAKE and guess what? Clog loosened and it's fixed! I don't know what Jeff's 20 years of experience is in but clearly it's not plumbing when an apparently dumb woman can unclog a washer drain. And by the way, the associate at the competitor, was not only kind, they were sincerely disturbed that I had experienced such treatment from ANY retailer. They even apologized that it had happened! Perhaps this Lowe's could take a lesson from that. It won't matter to me as I'll never set foot in another Lowe's but for the sake of other women, and Jeff's female co-workers, perhaps he should be reminded that, as of 2018, WOMEN account for 91% of new home purchases and over half of the purchases of home improvement products. Clearly he missed that day of training. read more

Lowe's employees were nice, friendly, and helpful today, EXCEPT for the guy in plumbing, talk about rude! I knew talking to him was not going to go well as he was yelling at another customer when I got there, he just kept shoving the item in the guy's face, would not let him talk/ask question and basically just told him to leave. I just wanted to know if the faucet I was looking at came with a cover plate or would I need to buy one - before I could even finish asking the question, he interrupted to ask how many holes the sink had (does not matter, a cover plate will fix that), when I said I did not know, he sneered, looked down at me and said "well I don't know either". I am thinking, just answer my question, jackass, but I did not voice it, instead, I just turned and walked away - did not want to deal with his attitude or be as rude and nasty as he was. Checked out, telling the cashier I would bring it back if it did not work out. read more
