During December 1 - 3, 2025, Lowe's Home Improvement had a 40% off HGTV HOME by Sherwin-Williams Gold Standard Infinity Paint and Primer at Lowes.com for Cyber Monday. When I saw this deal, I jumped on it since this is the best interior paint, most durable interior paint & primer, and it has an ultra-smooth finish which withstands the toughest wear in the busiest rooms. I purchased 3 cans of ultra white flat and 3 cans of ultra white satin paint online and pick up in store. Lowe's Home Improvement in Garden City, NY has a huge parking lot and I went straight to the paint section to browse at all the different hues and color chips. I selected upward and filmy green from the Scandinavian minimalism color collection. The staff member was friendly and mixed the cans of paint with the specific color chips. The whole process was smooth and flawless. If you need other supplies for your project -- primer, painters tape, brushes and more -- Lowe's Home Improvement has got those too. Another time I came back to Lowe's Home Improvement in Garden City, NY to purchase a light bulb and to make a copy of a mailbox key. I asked a staff member for assistance. He put my mailbox key into the Minute Key machine and it told the staff member which key blank he would need to use to copy it. The whole process was quick and seamless. The cost of the key copy was $4.98. The Utilitech 40-Watt Dimmable LED General purpose Light Bulb 2 -Pack was $7.18. The staff was incredibly helpful, answering all our questions and guiding us to exactly what she needed. They made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. I ordered 4 glass sconce cups online for store pickup. Within minutes I received confirmation that my order was ready. Pick up was super easy and convenient. When I got home and saw that the glass cups were too large for my sconces, I put them in the bag to return them and the one I tried out slipped out of my hands and broke in the bag. When I arrived at the store to return the three that were undamaged, they even took back the one that accidentally broke! I thought I would be out the $25 because it was my fault. I hate going to the rude Lowes in Springfield Garden. The Garden City Lowes is so much more professional and courteous. The associates are very helpful, and they seem to really want to help. If you ask a walking associate to help and it's not their department, they will help you find the appropriate person! I had an issue at the checkout, Nicole helped me tremendously with a helpful attitude as well. There were others, but she was the only one I got a name for. Here is my issue with this location today. System shows that they have 4 ($700) Hot water tanks, of a particular sku (Item #839883) in stock. I go in there, the employee was helpful, but indicated that he couldn't find it from the day before. That leads me to believe that the inventory management is not doing his job. I can understand if 2 were returned, unsellable, and moved it into the damage field, that should be reflected. This would leave at least 2 sellable item. And these are not small,$20, items. Customer Service Department Lowe's Store #1624 700 Diblee Drive Garden City NY Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Non-Delivery of Appliance and Unfulfilled Service I am writing to formally file a complaint regarding a recent purchase I made at your Dibblee drive store in Garden City, NY. OnTuesday, June 13th, 2025 I paid in full, in cash, for an LG refrigerator along with an additional fee for a service contract. A delivery driver by the name of Joe, arrived at my home on Thursday to remove my inoperative fridge and install the LG 23.8 cu ft refrigerator. Joe misjudged the door width into my home and made no attempt to bring the merchandise inside making the excuse that it would not fit through my door. No effort was made! He also mislead me indicating two alternative models would fit instead and I wasted time taking by his suggestions only to find that those suggestions would not fit. The other alternatives were in fact larger than the model I originally purchased. . The assigned delivery person made no attempt to bring the item to my home or contact me to complete the delivery, effectively breaching the basic conditions of the transaction. I have strong reason to believe this failure was due to negligence on the part of your delivery staff. Following this failed delivery, I personally visited your retail location on Friday in an effort to resolve the matter. Despite my good-faith attempts to clarify the situation and request a full refund for both the appliance and the service contract, your staff refused to refund my money. Their excuse was that they could not "verify " whether the fridge made it back to their warehouse. Furthermore, I was informed that the full value of the service contract would not be returned, even though the service was never initiated or rendered. This experience has been both frustrating and unacceptable. As a paying customer, I am entitled to either full delivery of the product and services promised or a complete refund of the money paid--including the service contract amount. I hereby request that Lowe's take the following actions immediately:     1.    Provide a full refund of the purchase price of the appliance.     2.    Provide a full refund of the service contract fee, as no services were delivered.     3.    Offer a written explanation and apology for the inconvenience and lack of resolution thus far. So today my wife and I went to Lowe's for the first time and it was an awesome experience. I needed help finding a few tools I had in mind to buy and couldn't find them, that's when I saw Brandon and he helped me find everything I needed. He checked in his Hand Held store device and found everything. The tools I wanted just weren't refilled to their station so I had the chance to get everything fresh out the box!. Lucky me lol. Only thing I found uncomfortable was I felt we was being watched as if we're going to steal something, But after seeing certain merchandise, left around the store or pieces out they're packaging I understood why. I purchased a power washer on Father's Day's morning. My dad used it 6 days later on Saturday June 21 which was his first day off since he received it. He used it less than 10 minutes. He was disappointed with the power and 25ft hose. I tried to return it today June 22. I wanted to purchase another power washer which was $200 more than the one I was returning. The manager Syed refused to make any exchanges or returns. He stated Lowe's has a 48 hour out door power equipment return policy. Who knew ? I never returned anything before to Lowe's. I understand the policy. But certain times there are exceptions. I cut up my Lowe's credit card. I will be buying everything I need from Home Depot! Came in on labor day because the online information was a little hard to understand. For awhile now i wanted an upright freezer. I was specific on the type i wanted. No draws. Shelves on the door to maximize storage. I do a lot of meal prepping and having an upright would make sense to properly freeze store etc... While in the appliance section. Had to wait to be helped by Pedro as i believe the other sale associates were busy. I gave him the sku and explained online said it was availiable but couldnt order the item. After his search he explained they just got the shipment in so the computer system may not have updated the inventory. This item due to most things in the pandemic people were purchasing so supply was limited to none. I came at the right day he said bc for months these were unavailble I was able to have the item ordered and shipped within the week. read more

This review is a year in the making. Summer 2020, I had three exterior screen doors and entrance doors replaced. The work has proven less than par, especially for the amount of money I spent. My biggest issue is two of my screen doors. 1. The front door handle falls off, on the inside, every 10-15 days. If there was no one inside to fix it or there were no other entries, I would have to call someone regularly to put the handle back on OR, I would be locked in or out. 2. The front and back screen doors do not close securely. My son has had to fix the front door SEVERAL times. Currently, the back door needs to be fixed. 3. The wood around the back door was put up shabby. I am VERY disappointed in how the work has turned out. 3 screen doors and 3 entrance doors, plus locks, were not a small expense! Went to Lowe's on Columbus Day looking for new fireplace doors. We were trying to find someone to assist us and everyone seemed very busy since it was a holiday and there was even one customer complaining. We finally found Eric to help us. He was very helpful, knowledgeable and patient, taking his time and not rushing us at all. Went over all the dimensions and different options. After spending some time we finally decided on a style and size of what we needed. Eric ordered right from his computer where he was helping us. He made it seamless, ordered and paid for it in one step. Didn't have to go to a register to pay. Eric was awesome, Lowe's is lucky to have someone like him. I wanted to tell a manger of our good experience but they were so busy so we left. If I go back I will inform them or hopefully they will read this review. Thank you Eric for your help. read more

Great selection of plants and bricks for the garden, but tried to get a simple question answered and no employees were willing to help. Another crazy experience. Bought lots of materials to build a pressure treated deck. I returned some materials including a full bundle of spindles that were still packaged with plastic ties. The lady at the refund counter refused to accept them because she said each one was 1/4" different on each one! Each spindle had tags on both sides and were wrapped by the manufacturer! She insisted I cut them, retagged, and had a machine that can tie 16 spindles together! After 3 staff members came to my rescue, I got my refund. I purchased a replacement washing machine I was told by the salesman that ii didn't need a stand that even though it was a different manufacturer it would fit. When the delivery was mad the installer said it wouldn't. They also wouldn't hook up my drainage hose. But did it anyway. I then went back to the store and order them stand. Was told it was put aside for me for delivery and installation. Was told the night before if my delivery window which they missed. Absolutely awful. I had a busted tub delivered. Then they promised it would be delivered the next day. It wasn't. Then spoke to Antonia and was told it was on the truck the next morning and to expect a call 30 minutes before. It was never delivered. It's impossible to reach anyone at the store so called the central Lowe's customer service who also couldn't reach the store. Finally had a human tell me to hold on one call but gave up waiting after 50 minutes. This whole time I'm stuck paying a contractor for days he can't work and staying in a hotel because it's the only bathroom. I went to Lowe's for the "great prices" they cost me a fortune and can't even be reached to discuss. I wish I could be as bad at my job as these people. There is a way to treat people. This isn't it. I get to this Lowe's with employees standing around yukking it up and after a while, another employee comes by and points me out, the only person at the pickup desk. So one of the yukkers reluctantly helps me. Takes a half hour at least for me to get the stuff I ordered, which they had emailed me was ready for pickup. Yukker paged someone else instead of going to get my order. I have to ask for paging again. Finally she gets someone else to go to the back for me. Paged person eventually shows up and says pager "should have known I was outside" and couldn't hear the page. Paged person was helping another customer and took money as a tip. I like coming to this location. Besides that it is the closest home improvement retail store near my work where I could coming during my lunch break, I find it homey. I find it easy to locate things that I have in my list. They have visible signage. The staff during my last visits were available all the times to help me on my needs. I enjoyed using their self-service register. Today's visit is for buying summer perennials. It's a plus for this location as they have a huge nursery. Lots of choices. Properly maintained. I came in during lunch hour, although line runs fast, I found it disappointing as there was only one register open. Prices are pretty standard. Staff is serious with their job. A few days later the material was delivered. I was told it was to be installed in a few days. The appointment was set and the installers arrived. They looked at the job, determined that there was a problem and left telling me nothing. I later learned that the floor was uneven and the product could not work with my existing floor. This was what the tech's job was. The improper flooring material laid in my living room for 2 weeks while they promised over and over that the truck was on its way. They lied and lied. They promised and promised. Never attempt to call the store, the phone is never answered. Never was I so frustrated. Stay away from this company, you really don't need the aggravation. read more

I have misplaced the receipt from it so when it needed some repair, I was first put on hold so many times and for so long until I finally was told that if it was regarding warranty work, I needed to reach out to the company that handles that for them that goes by the name Assurant. They cannot be reached by phone, so you are instructed to email them at findmyplan@assurant.com. I did that two weeks ago and still HAVE NOT heard anything back. Self check out only but Susan was so helpful she walked us through step-by-step through the sign in online process. She was very patient for my hubby had a older model phone. I have an iPhone 13. I went to flooring and a gentleman named John Diaz helped me today. I had an issue and needed immediate action. He went over and beyond to help me. The level of professionalism, kindness, and the knowledge was much appreciated. He not only strived to help me, but I saw so many customers going to him for help and all leaving happy. He made sure my whole transaction went smooth from start to finish, and didn't leave my side until I was completely done. I was so happy I even opened a credit card to make all my home improvements from here. Purchased a washing machine in Lowes. Asked salesperson to assist me with paperwork needed for delivery to my condo development {certificate of insurance -COI). Was told he doesn't do that. I explained that I had bought my washing machine there a few months earlier and the salesperson helped with paperwork. Again said he didn't do that but asked his co-worker who also said the same. A manager came and she also informed me that they don't do that and referred me to customer service. Customer service said she didn't know how, nor did she know the Lowes Headquarters the paperwork had to be faxed to. Luckily the other person there, Shari, said she would help me. She walked back with me to the appliance section and asked them for the sheet of paper that had to be filled out to obtain a COI. They gave it to her and she actually filled it out for me since it required the store # and other information needed that only Lowes could provide. Then she took the paperwork and faxed it for me to Lowe's Headquarters. She apologized for no one else helping me and gave me customer service phone # and her name in case I needed help again. Thank goodness for Shari and her dedication to her job. I wish I could say the same about the rest of the employees. read more

It is an absolute pleasure to visit this Westbury Lowe's. Tons of parking and plenty of sales people on the floor to direct you to the most obscure little item that you came in for. Well stocked, tremendous selection. For over 2 decades we relied on the HDepot in town, never really needing to venture further. Along with the closing of Sears, we headed West to pick up a list of varied necessities. To be honest, it was a nice day and Lee was rushing me. But I can't wait to return and just browse... dream about replacing ceiling fans, plants, appliances, tile floors, door hinges. Staff was incredibly friendly. I am extremely disappointed with the level of customer service at this location. I called several times attempting to getting an update regarding my purchase which was scheduled for delivery on 5/6. I received an automated call from @lowes confirming that my delivery will be made on 5/6 unfortunately I never received my delivery!! I was placed on hold for 40min @1:15pm 5/12. My call was then transferred to the internet department a young lady from that department picked up the phone and then placed my call back on hold then I was hung up on.
