TERRIBLE Bought a lawn mower that came with an extra free battery. They delivered the lawn mower and cancelled the free battery the day of delivery. Was told by customer service the only way to get the deal is to return the old lawn mower and buy the deal again. It's been over 2 months and still have not received my refund for returning the first lawn mower. I've spent 10+ hours calling and being put on hold just to be told it's been escalated and someone will reach out. With 3 kids and life happening, no this is the last damn thing I need. This is a big store with a better selection of goods "IMO" than that other hardware chain store. I was pleasantly surprised when I spied gas riding lawnmowers in front of the store. "Now I know where to go when mine gives up the ghost, but I digress, I came in to get tie downs, rope, and plastic covering to secure a mattress I put in my truck bed..... I walked up to an employee and asked him if he knew where I could find the items I was looking for. His response was immediate... Isles three, five, and 13.... Now that's what I call knowing your products and store!! I can't tell you how much time he saved me "probably at least an hour" trying to find the product on my own. My consultant for a shed with installation was very unprofessional. She first said I needed a 3 feet clearance all around the construction of the shed then she changed it to 6 ft. When I questioned her she never called me back. She left a nasty email telling me that maybe I should have another company install my shed. I read the instructions it clearly stated 3 feet not 6 feet. I found Rebecca Ramos to be very unprofessional and non responsive. I will not ever purchase anything from Lowes in Gilroy. read more

I went to Lowe's to purchase a padlock this afternoon. I tried to get my Veterans discount at the self check counter. After fighting with the pay station for about 3 minutes with no luck, I asked the sales associate for help. She was not at helpful, since I interrupted her playing on her cell phone, and she just sent me to the service desk to check out. Lowe's makes it very difficult to get the Veterans discount that they offer. This isn't the first time that I've had this problem at The Gilroy, CA Lowe's store. I had an appointment with Maria from appliances to help me with the return of my refrigerator that stopped working 6 months after I bought it. She told me to get there between 430-5 I got there at 425 the extremely rude associate at the customer service desk roller her eyes when I asked if she was in and said yeah she's back there....... ok. Waited 30 minutes while the appliance employees paged her numerous times come to find out she left early that day! Lowes credit services ended up refunding money to a card that I reported lost or stolen MONTHS before I even requested a refund and are basically telling me now there's nothing they can do. Bought a Midea Dishwasher pre-black Friday. Wasn't working on install. This Lowe's has been absolutely horrible to deal with. First they tried getting me to pay them to deliver a new dishwasher (which, I did once before they just failed to deliver on the *functioning part of this agreement). They won't bring me a new one sighting the need to confirm the serial number in store (fascinating to itself). Needless to say I won't be buying ANY appliances from here in the future and now that they're forcing me to go purchase another dishwasher, I'll be taking my business somewhere else and likely not Midea brand either. Bought a Christmas tree at Lowe's because the place where we used to cut our tree in SJ was$100+. Ridiculous! The trees at Lowe's looked great and I assumed fresh because they had just come in to the store. Well, now, I assume, not so fresh because after 2 weeks the tree is crisp and browning. In the past, I've thrown trees that were fresh in the backyard two weeks after Christmas and they were still green and the needles pliable after staying in the backyard for a month. Faults advertisement. Buyer beware. Do not come to the store. The online selection will show you that there are products in stock, but when you get here, the product you drive over 50 miles to get is not in stock. The only option the managers will give you is to buy something that's twice the price of what you actually came for. From $279 to $589. The managers will do nothing to help with that. Even though it's false advertisement, they said call the district and file a complaint. And someone will come out and talk to us about it. Buyer beware, this store is a scam. My poor experience is not specific to this store but rather their corporate customer service. I own some rental property and have purchased appliances from Lowes along with their extended service contracts. Their people don't seem well trained and their back offices systems seem antiquated in that they cannot differentiate between the appliance and service contract owner, and my tenant who needs to actually schedule the service at a time that works for them. Furthermore, you cannot get to a person, or escalate to a manager as their phone system just will drop you if you do not select one of their predefined prompts and their are NO prompts to get to a human, much less a manager. read more

At least 3 desks with paperwork on but no sales people. we pushed the button for service and the PA called for someone to come to appliances several times. we waited and waited and finally some one not from the area came in and asked if he could help. He said he wasn't from the Dept but new enough to help. As we were talking the sales person, I believe Jose, returned and didn't intervene at all. Didn't seem interested at all. Their refusal to honor craftsman tools warranty though is the latest chapter of Lowe's loosing their regulars. craftsman brand mechanic tools used to be the best for a certain price. largely due to the warranty. but now when you take something in that you bought, there at the same exact Lowe's, that doesn't work, they point to a sign that says call craftsman. total BS.. I won't be buying anymore items I need to depend on Lowe's having integrity or honor of a warranties promise. They change the rules after a purchase is made.. see the new sign posted in a place where you dont get to see it until it's too late.. at the customer NO service desk. so far Home Depot does honor its warranties. if they stop, Ace hardware or Amazon is the last hold outs without spending Snap-on prices. read more

0 STARS: where do I even begin....we purchased $10K worth of appliances. We set up a delivery day and time online. We received a phone call stating one of our items would need to come from a different store but nothing would change with the date and time of delivery....NOT THE CASE! They changed the date and time of our delivery from a Saturday to a Monday. When we called to explain that this wasn't going to work they told us that that was the day it was going to be delivered and we couldn't change it. So...we canceled the order! Should have ended there but there was one item that we wanted that we couldn't get at Home Depot(for whatever reason). We ordered the item we needed and set a delivery date. We ordered everything else at Home Depot. On the date of delivery I was home from 8-12....no call, no update, no nothing. We did receive a text the day before confirming the time slot from 8-12. I went online to check the delivery status around 10:30 the morning of delivery, it still stated 8-12. I rechecked online at 11:45 and they had changed the time on the website from 11-3! No notice, no call, NOTHING! I began calling the store....I called over 10 times before someone answered. I called the 800 in the meantime and a callback from them was 2+ hours. Long story short, they never showed up, they rescheduled for a 12 HOUR TIME WINDOW the following weekend! When I voiced my displeasure they basically told me they didn't care. Corporate didn't care either. I called multiple times to get help and they basically told me to cancel my order. That was their resolution. DO NOT BY ANY MEANS BUY YOUR APPLIANCES FROM THEM! He even went back to the warehouse to double check if the items were there even tho they were in stock. It was amazing he checked because they weren't actually in stock so we went with our back up option which was available. Thanks so much Ray! Lowes sold us a cracked toilet but it was a hairline fracture so we couldn't even see it. Then after we had our bathroom floors redone TWO times bc of the leaking water issues that were initially believed to be due to a faulty rubber ring, but weren't. They did nothing for us except return the toilet. And yes we purchased all the flooring from them- which they loaded the wrong pallet on our truck and that wasn't realized till we got home- had to go back- it was a heavy load- they then charged me for the right pallet and took days to refund the wrong one- not my fault btw! And it wasn't a cheap order! All of them! We go to Home Depot now and have not been let down yet. read more

When I walked in, on the right at customer service was 2 people and at the desk to the left was 4 Employees chitchatting, Looking at pictures on their phones and talking about their weekend. I showed them a part I needed and 2 didnt say anything, and one girl shrugged, the other just said she didn't know. What the hell are they getting paid for of they won't help customers at all. I started walking down isles and saw 2 employees chatting at the end of the isle, started walking towards them, made eye contact then they walked away, rude. Then I found another employee and asked him, there were other people waiting also. So he called 2 times over the speaker for the person in that department. Went in knowing exactly what kind of microwave I wanted (with the link to Lowe's website and everything) and left after 45 mins of waiting. Only one person was ahead of me in line and after 30 minutes of chatting away, the guy who was helping them leaves to do god knows what. I recently purchased a home in Gilroy. I decided to add wood lament flooring over the carpeted areas in our new home. They had a wide and well stocked area for there flooring products. I was able to purchase everything I needed that day all in stock. This store is super clean and well organized. There tool area is awesome. Huge selection of power and hand tools. Also got a great new grill for the backyard. So far no complaints been there 10 times in the last week. All the employees I interacted with were very friendly and helpful. I feel Lowe's is more geared for the customer not the contractor. read more

Let me start off by saying my experience was in the appliance department. The manager George is a gem of a human! Down to earth, easy to talk to and very friendly. I came back three days in a row needed help with my kitchen appliances and putting together the right bundle. George was patient with me and made sure I walked away happy and very satisfied. On Feb 7th, I purchased a new refrigerator for Lowe's. They had it delivered from a third party the following day. When I plugged it in after removing all of the tape and wrapping, I noticed it made a funny sound in the top freezer compartment. Sounded as though the fan motor behind the back wall of the unit was rubbing against the plastic cover. I called the store but could not get anyone from the appliance dept to answer the phone, so I drove to the store and spoke with a guy who worked in that department and made arrangements to have another one sent to my home. The next day a truck picked up the unit and said they had to take it back to the store to verify that I sent it back before a replacement would be sent to me. A few days went by and nothing. Again I called the store and no one would answer the phone in the Appliance dept., so again I drove back to the store only this time I spoke with one of their assistant managers, Jordan. He said he would make arrangements for another unit to be sent to me the following day. That didn't happen. A few days later I finally got a replacement, only to find that the replacement was defective as well. Dented on the side. Again I went to the store and spoke with yet another assistant manager who said he would replace it again if I wanted. By this time I only wanted to get the amount I charged on my credit card put back on my card. The manager said that they had to receive the refrigerator back to the store before that could happen. So today they are going to come and pick it up. Now I have to make sure on my next credit card statement that I was given the credit.I wasted 9 days, three trips back and forth to Lowe's, and still no new refrigerator. Talk about frustrating. The managers I delt with were very accommodating but the end result is they have poor customer service. Very frustrating process when you need to exchange an appliance. I will continue to shop their for items other than an appliance. read more

I was ready to give this Lowe's the highest rating for their customer service, but after this debacle, only 2 stars deem fitting. It's been a two-month long battle for three measly plastic containers... why? SO and I came here back in early April just browsing, when SO found a couple of plastic containers (think large tupperware for storage). He looked through and found one out of the three containers intact, while the other two were either broken or missing a wheel. Luckily, a guy named Joe walked past, and he was able to help us. He brought us over to Gale (Gayle?), a red-haired woman over at the appliance area to help us pre-order 2 more of the containers. She was great, super helpful, and we were told we would be getting a call in two days when the order is shipped to the store. We left the store, excited for our items. Two days later, we received no call, but since this Lowe's is on our way home, we stop by. We looked for Gale, but were told she wasn't around. So we showed the person helping us the receipt. "Oh, I don't think those have arrived yet. We will call you when they do." Two weeks go by, still no call. We stopped by again, and the items were there now. Yay!... except when we saw them, they were damaged! We left, dejected. It's been a month at this point, and I'm annoyed, so SO went into Lowe's by himself to ask for the rest of his paid-for items. He was able to find one. As he walked out, whoever he talked to accused him of stealing because it's been such a long time since our initial pre-order, that we probably already received these items and are just coming back around to get more (??). WTF Now it's mid-May, and we go to Lowe's to look at flower pots for our front yard. At this point, the receipt SO kept for the 3 storage containers is so faded, it's almost impossible to read what we bought. This time, we go to Customer Service and ask for a refund on the third storage container. Emmanuel helped us out as we explained our story to him. He confirms the containers that were suppose to ship to their location still haven't arrived. He was able to give us the refund, which we used to purchase our flower pot. Review is for Mike, the Assistant Manager. We recently ordered a shed from Lowes.com. We received an email and with a tracking number that told us our package was going to get delivered on Saturday 06/20. We received an email stating the package was delivered which was incorrect. We looked outside to find nothing. When we called the 1800 for Lowe's, we waited 45 minutes just for the first representative to hang up on us. We called again and we were on hold for another hour and the representative told us the same wrong information we already had. At this point, we were pretty upset and drove to this Lowe's. We were helped by Mike, the assistant service manager, at the customer service desk. Upset, we explained everything to him. He was very sympathetic with out situation and explain unfortunately he wouldn't be able to get in touch with the vendor who is shipping our shed and promised to follow up with us on Monday. Monday he called back as promised and gave us all the information we were looking for. He even provided phone numbers in case we needed to get a hold of someone at the freight company. Mike went above and beyond to make sure we had all the information and our concerns were address. We appreciate him doing his due diligence and taking care of us. read more

Curbside pick up is a joke here. Totally understaffed, nobody picks up the phone when you pull up to their pick up spots and therefore all you see is empty cars in these spots because everyone is inside trying to get their order. They're already saving money with the auto checkout counters so you would think they would devote more staff to online orders. This is the last time I'm giving them my business. read more
