Purchased a dish washer from them 4 years ago and purchased their "expert" installation. Fast forward to a couple weeks so I noticed some water damage on the kitchen island coming from around where the dish washer was installed. Pulled out the dish washer and confirmed it was leaking, however I discovered something else concerning. The back of the dish washer had melted to a wire to one of the outlets connected to the island creating a fire hazard. Contacted customer support about this negligent install and the potential fire they could have created. No luck the washer is out of warranty, which I understand about the dish washer my gripe was with the install itself and they could have burnt my house down. They still didn't want to take any responsibility so I contacted BBB about this, meanwhile their Executive of Customer Relations contacted me and wanted me to wait a week for her to look into this and get back to me... She calls me today to inform me that they could do nothing because of an earthquake that could of shifted the washer... what a joke. read more

Twice now I have had two separate employees lie to me about getting Store credit. I spend thousands of dollars there tens of thousands of dollars on a new kitchen custom design lighting this year alone probably over $20,000 however, twice I've gone in there to return some of the items and extras and wrong sized items two of the times I did not have the receipt and they said they couldn't find it on our pro rewards even though we used the pro rewards. I don't know if they're looking in the wrong place or why that's happening and they say that they cannot give Store credit they don't do that anymore, which is a full-blown lie. I also noticed they're a little on the lazy side. They don't like to help you when you're in an aisle lifting something heavy they pretend they don't see you and go by quickly and then when you're all done and you don't need help, they ask you if you need help. I think the people that are not giving Store credit are people that are simply too lazy to do the extra typing it takes and I foresee, This particular lowes, a little more "lazy" so when I'm in the area and doing my shopping, Homedepot is where we always migrate too. They will stop to help you immediately not when you're done and they will give you Store credit without blinking with a smile. they recognize you as a valued customer unlike lowes you're not a valued customer you're a troublemaker that's how I feel shopping at Lowe's in Hanford. read more

Virginia did not tell me I was getting shorted and charged for the entire order. Nor did anyone tell me when I picked up my order at customer service. The people they use for their contractors to install doors are very incompetent I've had them use at my house twice now in both times they they have messed up the order and stuff then I got to wait another couple of weeks for them to come back out to fix what fix it I wouldn't recommend to get anything done through Lowe's read more

Went looking at appliances. Employee was very helpful but we learned the store itself no longer does military discounts on appliances. Absolutely anything else in the store EXCEPT appliances!! They have specially marked parking in their parking lot that says they honor their veterans.....just not worthy enough for discounts on higher priced items. Appliances use to be slog for military discount but apparently now the veterans in a military town no less are not worthy of the discount on appliances any longer. read more

We live in Fresno, so that's the Lowe's we typically shop at. We were in the market for 76 pieces of OSB sheets for the walls of an addition we're starting, and Lowe's website indicated 150 sheets were in stock at the Hanford store. I placed an online order for next day pickup. When we got to the store the next day, an employee helped us at the pick up area right away. She showed us where to park to wait for the forklift to bring the 4x8 sheets to us. When the guy came out with a bundle of sheeting, it was the wrong product. We had purchased the kind with a radiant barrier, but the guy was pretty insistent he had the right boards on his forklift. After a trip inside the store, it was determined he had the wrong product on the forklift. About 30 minutes later they brought out a bundle (70 sheets) of radiant OSB sheeting. That's all they had in stock. So the website quantity of 150 was inaccurate. Another trip inside and we were refunded for the other 6 boards we had paid for. Overall, we were there for an hour, but the 70 boards got loaded on our trailer and we were on our way. Ashley, the girl who helped us both times we went inside was awesome. Very polite and helpful. She even helped the hubby with his military discount that we couldn't enter when shopping online. Nice store, too, in a newer area of Hanford with many other stores and restaurants nearby. read more

I've been coming here pretty frequently as we are doing some modifications to our home. Lowes has pretty much everything you can possibly need for home DIY projects! Even if it isn't currently in stock, they can always source it from a nearby store within a day or 2. I have never had a problem with rude or unhelpful staff here, they are always friendly and happy to help! It's amazing what happens when you actually look after your employees and pay them a fair wage! My only complaint is that sometimes (not always) there can be a 15-20 minute wait to check out with your items because they don't have enough checkouts open. Otherwise very happy! I'll make this short. My Mom bought a ceiling fan at this Lowe's on Jan. 28. It was supposed to be installed for $109. When she was paying, the price for installation jumped to $159. The cashier didn't believe us. So he went back to the ceiling fan area and confirmed that there was a $109 installation tag right next to her ceiling fan. 'You were right,' he said. No apology. Before we left the store, she got a text that her installation from the professional (cough, cough) company would be Feb. 12. Fifteen days later. My Mom and I went back to the Customer Service counter to complain. They rescheduled the installation for Feb. 1. A day before that, Lowe's called to reschedule. Four more days. On that day, Feb. 5, another reschedule - Feb. 7. But halfway through the installation window on Feb. 7, my Mom got another call. The installer called in sick. They'd need to reschedule. How did Lowe's not know that the installer was sick before 2 hours into the installation window?!? Really professional. So, the ceiling fab was finally installed on - you guessed it - Feb. 12. Neither Lowe's nor the professional (cough, cough) installation company had any intention of installing that fan before Feb. 12. Everything else was just smoke and mirrors. I had a minor but complicated problem that needed to be addressed by a manager. A young man with reddish hair came out, wearing a "Proud Veteran" vest. His name was Chris. Chris listened to the problem, expressed empathy, and solved the problem. He was pleasant, helpful & and great listener. My experiences with Lowes Hanford have been mostly good. Most of the time Lowes employees are helpful and responsive. Their stock is easy to find and priced just about the same as their rival a few blocks away. Both sell the same quality of building materials at similar pricing. I rate Lowes equally to their nearby competition, although strengths differ. Example: As a commercial customer, Lowes discounts all of my purchases. Their competitor discounts only large quantity purchases to commercial buyers. Both have mostly positive, knowledgeable employees and low-level managers who should work best outside, away from customers. read more

We bought a sliding glass door with installation on April 29,2023. Found out the door was finally ordered on May 26th by the Hanford Lowes. Made a trip there to press them on answers for the arrival date. We were given late June as the new arrival date. The first week of July we had no notification of the door being at the Hanford Lowes. Went in to the store shortly after to ask about our situation and they said the manager would call us. No call so we went in again a week later. New arrival date was now set as Aug 12th. Aug 19th no word from Lowes on the door so we went in again and found out the door was sitting in their facility and it had been there for weeks and the installation company would be notified to start scheduling the install. Sept 1st we had to go in again and ask about the install. The next week we get a Sep 13th install date. Installer brings out the door and it's defected with bad window seals and a bent brace the doesn't allow it to close along with a door handle that had to be drilled to fit the door. Went to Lowes again with video and pictures of the defected door. Set 16th Christian the Asst. Manger said he'd get with Pella and have it replaced. He said I'd receive a call from Lowes with that scheduled date. Sep 25th nothing back from Lowes. I went directly to Pella and plead my case and at this time. They're going to send someone out in mid November to assess the door. In short I had to do the leg work on a $4k small project with no help from Lowes including the sales guy that sold me this door and at this time on Oct 1st we still have a dysfunctional door. We paid with our Lowes account for the % off we get then paid that off in a month. We were stuck financially with Lowes. I come here whenever I need to purchase something for work or when my boyfriend and I want to build something for our home. I'm giving 5 stars mainly for Tequina, she works in the blinds area. I came here to purchase two custom order blinds for my work and the lady that originally helped me ordered 1 of 2 of my blinds in the wrong color. I came here a few months before and ordered a blind so I thought she would of just go off my last purchase. I don't know why she thought I would want all my blinds white and then order one cream colored... So originally I was mad once I received my blind that was the wrong color because custom order things take awhile to get delivered to you. I waited about 3 weeks to get these blinds and now one of them isn't even the right color. So I called Lowe's and Tequina heard my whole story, she apologized like 10 times about what happened and made sure my blinds were re ordered in the right color. She let me keep the wrong colored blind until the new one came in (I threw away the old blinds before I realized it was the wrong color and with out the wrong color blind up in my office we would of been without a blind for 2-3 weeks and we couldn't have that due to security reasons) Tequina went above and beyond, she even called me to let me know that the blind we re ordered was on back order and called me again letting me know when I should expect them! So this place sucks, IF you want a refund. I don't know what the deal is but it's been almost a MONTH and we have yet to receive a refund for a FRIDGE (the first one was broken upon delivery)! An employee told us the longest he'd seen a refund take was 15 days!! Right now Lowe's has charged us for not ONE but TWO fridges (almost 5k now). We've been up there 3 times and all they say is "well we issued a refund" even when we show our bank account and that there has been no refund. I went to Lowes a few days ago after 7:00 pm. They were not busy. Their sign says that if there is more than 3 people in line, they will open another. They didn't. I bought some tile... one had a chip... they told ME to go and get another one. When I came back, they made me wait in line AGAIN after reaching the front, they told me that I needed to return the broken piece in a different area. Had to wait in line AGAIN. Today, my contractor went there to purchase more tile. They said they had hundred's of boxes but couldn't find them. They told him to go to another Lowe's out of town. Come to find out... He always goes above and beyond when assisting all customers as I've noticed on my multiple trips. He also has an amazing disposition to greet and be an exceptional employee and human. I went in to buy some hinges for some kitchen cabinets and all of them were out of the bag with the screws stolen. This is the only hardware store in town I was able to find them at and so I grabbed 2 of the hinges and asked the associate at the self checkout if I could get a discount since half of the product was missing. She said she would call her manager, Justin, and as they made their way back to the counter, he was asking her why I couldn't just grab complete hinges. This upset me quit a bit because I do not go into this store looking for freebies and discounts. I pay full price for my products but I expect them to be complete. I asked him if there was a problem we could go back to the aisles and I can show him that I was not lying. He rudely told me no and said he would only do 10% off. This would normally be fine with me except that half of the hinges equipment is missing so I asked if he could at least do half and he said no he would not do that and I can do 10% or nothing and so I said just forget it and I would pay full price because I needed these hinges due to an emergency. If managers are going to accuse their customers of lying, they should ensure their employees are doing their jobs and managing the stock or pulling products that are damaged and updating their stock. His customer service is atrocious and he should not be in management if he is going to bluntly talk badly about customers in front of them.. read more

I contacted Lowe's to do some deck repair. Steve came out took measurements and found out what I wanted. He came back the next week with the contractor and finalized the measurements. He said he would call back in a couple of days with the quote. Never heard back from Steve. I saw him in the store bout a month later asked him about it. Said he emailed me but he didn't have my email address. So he told me he would email me by the end of the day. I called him 3 days later to see why I still haven't received the quote. THIS PLACE SUCKS!! I was in need of a new dishwasher and refrigerator. My family and I went and we went to customer service. We got there at 1:00 and we didn't leave until 3:22!! The customer service people had no clue at all on what they were doing!! It took forever for us to get out of the store and now I don't ever wanna go back!! We purchased a Maytag washer from Lowe's as well as the extended warranty. Two months before warranty is up we attempted to call Lowe's service department. According to my iPhone I waited on hold for 34 minutes before a rep got on the phone. The rep took down our name, make, m/n, s/n, of our washer before putting us on hold again to transfer us to another department. We then waited another 48 minutes on hold before finally making a appointment for a repairman to come fix our washer. The appointment time came and went. The repair man was a no show, no call, no text, no email, nothing. I'm guessing Lowe's is trying to dodge me until my warranty expires and I'll give up and call a different repair company to pay for the repairs myself. Terrible customer service! This experience happened at 11:10 on 5/13/20-so it is up to management to figure who was working this area. I failed to get their names. I am a patient person and have had reasonable experiences in the past and that's why they earned 2 stars and not 1. (Just changed my review to 1 star because I called to speak to manager... their phone system hung up on me after 9.27 minutes@11:51). My husband and I were looking to get approx. 216 pavers for a patio we were putting in. Three lawn and garden personnel (traveling in a "pack" at very laxidazicle pace were asked if we could mix the pavers color 3 ways. Also, what the cost of an entire pallet was? (They were only marked at per piece prices). They smiled sarcastically like we were idiots and said "Whatever the price is marked... times the whole pallets number". Then all three meandered off. No answer as to if the colors could be mixed, no "did you need help loading them", no "is there any other questions". They just scoffed at us like we couldn't do basic math and rolled out! This is one of the nicest Lowe's I've been to, and it's still reasonably new. When I still lived in Lemoore, I would end up here at least once a week! The aisles are wide, the store is clean, and they have a good selection of tools, appliances and all kinds of odds and ends. We've bought ceiling fans here, too. Staff is pretty good and helpful here, moreso than most Home Depots I've been to. We had questions on a plumbing project we were working on, and a nice employee helped us out. I love their garden department. The garden department is always my favorite part of any home improvement store. I might have a slight addiction to plants, but I suppose that's better than most things you can be addicted to! They have tiny little succulents in tiny little pots for around $2, and have a really good selection. I blame them for the fact that I have succulents in almost every room of my house now. I also like that they have a checkout in the garden department, and it always seems to be open. That way I don't have to traipse through the whole store with my hands full of sharp, spiky plants. Their return counter is also really helpful. We've had to return a few things and there was never a problem. So in summary, this is a nice store. Prices are on par with Home Depot but employees seem more helpful. Stop by on your next project, or if you just feel like browsing through interesting plants. read more

Be careful if you use home delivery. The store will not accept responsibility for bad delivery experiences and will blame it on the third party service. My delivery was scheduled in an eight hour window. It never showed up and nobody called to tell me why or reschedule. I called the 800 number the next morning and they were unable to tell when when I should expect my oven. I have been without my oven for 6 days already because of being rescheduled earlier in the week, again no reason given or no call received. read more

I went in today needing an allen wrench. The problem was, I didn't even know the name of it. As soon as I got to the tool section, I was immediately approached by an employee who asked if I needed help. I felt stupid trying to describe what an allen wrench was- I said, "I need that tool that is metal and shaped like an 'L' with a hexagon on the ends" Somehow, he knew what I meant and led me directly to what I needed, and even told me that they were called allen wrenches. So 5 stars for being polite and helpful to a gal who has no idea what she's talking about, haha. When I went to pay, however, the cashier had no customer service qualities (she was complaining to her fellow co-worker the entire time about how she is going to quit because she has to work weekends) and completely ignored me as I was trying to pay. This seems to be a Central California thing and not specific to Lowes, so I am still giving them 5 stars. read more
