I just recently moved to Hope Mills, im a sr., disabled , single lady that bought a fixer upper house.I have been buying supplies from lowes and the other night had plumbing probs under my kitchen sink.Went to lowes with a piece that was hard to find , the employee named Barry helped me find ,fix and showed me how to repair my sink!! Barry was very pacient, understanding and went over & beyond to help me and explain exsactly how to fix my issue!! Thank you Barry & Lowes!! I tried ordering a patio door online. After finding the desired item, add to cart, etc...I was unable to check out as I was told "Unable to check out because of a problem on our end". I then researched which location had my item in stock. I was given the store in Hope Mills. I was transferred (from the Pro Desk) to a so-called expert. This man had never taken a phone order in his life. By his own admission. He proceeded to take 30 minutes to finally get to the point where he couldn't continue and asked for help and my patience. Another 10 minutes later I hear him tell to whomever had showed up "he must of hung op." I immediately called back and asked to speak to a supervisor. 20 minutes later I had to hang up...no one came to the phone. I hope this store burns to the ground. On 12/20/24, I purchased a thermostat and standard installation. My old thermostat stopped working working, I had no heat in my home. Angies list contacted me and scheduled the install for 12/26/24. I could not go without heat, so I found someone else to do the installation. That person said the thermostat that I purchased was not the right one, so on 12/21/24 I cancelled the install online and returned thermo to Lowe's. Lowe's refunded the money for the thermostat, but would not refund the $99.00 for the install. They said I would have to wait for a gift card to be mailed to me. The store gave me the number to customer service and after being on hold and phone for about 40 min. they told me the same thing I paid cash for both. I kept telling them that I had no heat and I needed the cash to pay the person that was doing my install. Today is 12/27/24 and I'm still waiting for my refund. By far the worst store in Cumberland county! I go in this morning and pay for 25 bags of mulch and I'm told to pull up outside so I did. I sat there 15 minutes waiting on someone to come load it. Finally when someone did come, it was a young lady who was six months pregnant and had no business picking up bags of mulch to load them on my truck. I asked to speak to a manager and they paged for one to come and no one ever came. As the employee was writing a note on my receipt for me to go to customer service to get a refund so I can go to another store and get mulch. A guy from a different department showed up to help load the bags. Needless to say, if this is the way Lowe's in Hope Mills treats their pregnant employees then I will no longer be shopping at that store. It is a disgrace!!!!! This place has the worst workers especially in the customer service department and management. I used to absolutely love Lowes until this one came near me. To say my business is excessive at Lowes and Home Depot is an understatement. I will never go to this Lowes again. McKayla in Customer Service is super rude and unprofessional. Not happy at all, I ordered a washer and dryerSet on June 30 both washer and dryer were to be delivered in two weeks July 14 to be exact, I have not received a phone call to confirm my delivery, so I decided to call them. This is where it gets fun, so the dryer will be delivered on the day that it was said to be delivered on, however on July 2nd they chose to cancel my washer order, because they didn't have any in stock. Now you would think that they would call you and let you know that they have canceled half of your order, but no they did not, so I go to re-order which mind you I had got the 4th of July sale hence the reason why I bought the whole set, and now the sale is off, and they will not honor the sale price for said washer. What ever happened to the days when you could go into Lowe's or Home Depot or Best Buy, and buy a washer and dryer and have it delivered or take it home for that matter. The reason why we were having it delivered is because they said they had no washer and dryer's in stock, and what they had on the floor is all they had, and they could not sell the floor models, because they did not own them, So if I can't go to Lowe's and buy a washer and dryer without having to wait for it to be delivered I don't think I will ever be buying any more appliances from them again! This has been a huge headache, and now I have a brand new dryer, with no washer thanks a lot Lowe's! The washer is what I needed because mine broke, I only bought the dryer because it was a matching set, and had a great sale price! read more
