And every year I would buy my beloved tarragon from them. It's an important herb in my culinary repertoire so I always make sure to have my name on a list at Gulley's to be contacted when it comes in and put ten plants aside for me. As well this year as I have done every year for nine years, I call each Monday as herb deliveries come in to check if it is in. Each week they said it will probably be in next week. Well it came in, no call, no put aside plants on a Friday. Monday I called and they had sold it all and would not be getting more. It really sucked. I scoured every grower in Nc with no luck. Finally Big bloomers in Tramway got a small shipment. So I bought from them. Unfortunately theirs was from seed which will not grow to any usable size. Good tarragon is grown from grafts. This might seem like a minor gripe to some but it truly sucked. I'd like to continue patronizing them but I feel it might be more advantageous to go direct to their grower and track their shipments in the state. So for now....bye bye Gulleys

This is one of the least reputable businesses I've ever dealt with. They were hired to finish my…read morefloors and a guy named Mike shows up and gives an estimate. I accepted his price and he came out that Saturday with another guy. He then left his employee there who I had never met before. They ran out of materials because of waste, so the employee had to come back the next day. They still didn't finish and there are gaps in what was done. They were also supposed to complete a job at a second location. They were given a check for equipment they claimed they needed. They never did the work and were supposed to return the check. Instead it was cashed and a stop had to be placed on the check. Very dishonest people. Owner tries to play off the responsibility by blaming his employees who he supposedly fired or they quit. If you really feel the need to hire them, I would suggest watching these thieves very closely and make sure you have everything in writing including the name of the business and signed by the owner. If I knew what kind of people they were, I would've never hired them to begin with.

The selection is great, regardless of what you're looking for, but the book selection is incredible & the price can't be beat at $.50/book! Though I wasn't there to look at furniture, I did notice that they have a large selection & most of it seems to be in good to great condition. The staff and volunteers do a great job keeping up with the volume of donations they receive and keeping the store neat & organized. I'll definitely be back to find some more hidden treasures here.
