Went in to buy several things for a project. There were very few customers in the store. Employees were walking all over in pairs talking to one another. When I needed a question answered, there was nobody to be found. I finally found two guys bringing things in from outside the rear of the store. I asked if one of them could help me. One of them said, "give us a second sir," and then went about their business. Once the dropped their load inside I thought they would help. No. They went back outside and continued doing what they were doing. I went to the front of the store and talked to a manager, "Larry" who did answer my question. No apology for my experience. He basically said there's the door, have a nice night. No one works for a living in this store. I've had to help customers in their paint department because they could get help or the rare working employee had no clue about the items in their own department. I will not be back. read more

Submitted a large order for lumber, and I had to call four times to see what the status was on it, but no one answered the phone as it just rang. Received a text message that my order was ready and I hooked up my trailer and headed over there. Once I got there it took at least 15 minutes for somebody to come and help me at the pick up counter, took them another five minutes to find the order just to tell me that it was not ready. don't waste your time here go across the street to Home Depot. read more

This store is a joke... We purchased a washer and the first time using it it was already making a noise. Now we have to manually set it to the spin cycle to finish the job. Contacted the store and we were told that there is only a 48 hour warranty and they couldn't do anything but contact the manufacturer. Whoever heard of such a short time like that for a big purchase. We even tried to trouble shoot and it still didn't work. We should be reimbursed for the crappy product. This is a elderly couple on a very fixed income. My mom has stomach cancer and my dad has dementia. We went to Best Buy and purchased a new washer and the guy was very helpful and helped us in any way that he could. Rude women working... she made me feel like I was inconveniencing her and her fellow employee (older man didn't expect him to lift too much) to ask for the electric heater that was clearly 3 feet above my head then continued to throw the heater in my cart and say it'll be fine it's just an electric heater. The self checkout employee is always an amazing sweet man in a wheelchair but this place gets one star for this women being rude late night when the store was dead. read more

On a camping trip and needed a part that wasn't in stock for our solar panel, got it ordered online and shipped to the kalispell location. First off the shipping took 3 days longer than expected and then the part itself took 2 days to get checked in. Been waiting all day for the receivers to check it in but can't get it until they actually do. I can see the part was delivered to the warehouse first thing in the morning and it's 5 PM and still not physically received. Customer service is also crap here. Never buying from Lowe's again. We needed cabinets for a small kitchen, no one answered the phone or would help us. Then we were told to make an appointment, when we arrived the lady said she would only help us if we were ordering custom! We wanted to buy in stock! We tried for a third time and Channel was great. Customer service at the Kalispell store is defiantly in need of improvement. I live several hours away in Washington state and my father-in-law, who is 79 years old and lives in Kalispell, needed a new washer/dryer installed. I called and ordered the unit from Lowes in Kalispell, along with all the items needed for the install (plug in, hoses, dryer vent tube and clamps). The unit was scheduled for delivery and install the next day. When the delivery crew arrived, they did not have with them the plug in, so my father-in-law had to go to local hardware store (Ace) and purchase one. Then, the install crew could not hook up the water lines correctly. They didn't put the gaskets inside the female ends of the hoses, so the hoses kept leaking. After several attempts, and being told by my father in law they needed to install the gaskets, they ignored that advice and cross threaded the hoses onto the washer. The hoses still leaked and they finally gave up saying, "you will just have to deal with this on your own." They left, taking the four hose gaskets that came with the hose set with them, with the unit not working and leaking. My father in law took the old gaskets out of the hoses he already had, installed them in the new hoses, fixed the threads on the washing machine from when the install crew cross threaded it and low and behold, the hoses no longer leaked. You would think the story would end here, but you are wrong. On the washer lid there is a large red sticker indicating the "internal shipping support" had to be removed before use. So now, he had to take the side panel of the unit off, take out the shipping support, put it back together, and put the unit back into place. When I called Lowes customer service I was told the reason the plug I had purchased was not sent with the delivery crew, was because it was marked as "in store pick-up" in error. When I explained about the delivery crew not installing the unit correctly, I was told Lowes uses a third party to install appliances, so I would need to call them. The whole reason I called Lowes in the first place was to get this done with no hassle a not have my 79 year old father in law moving things around. Epic failure on Lowes part. The third party they use is a Lowes problem, not mine. Trying to call Lowes in Kalispell and speak to the manager is next to impossible. I spent 45 minutes on hold when I was transferred back to someone in cabinets who did not know how to transfer me back to customer service. I finally ended up calling the Lowes Corporate office 1-800-44LOWES where my call was answered. Hopefully Lowes Corporate will be able to deal with the Kalispell store. read more

Typical home improvement store and this chain particularly is any different which part of the country you are in they all look the same. You walk up to all the riding lawn mowers lined up like soldiers standing at attention, neatly arranged by color and brand. But we did notice that the prices are a little different than the prices in Ca. We were on the hunt for a certain pruning sealer for trees and after much ado, help from several of the garden department gentlemen this item did not exist in Lowes. Grrr.... We strolled around a little and looked for B1 also for plant start but that too is not an item they carry. Nice store clean and very helpful and friendly employees. But we just struck out on what we were looking for. They were nice enough to suggest another few nurseries. read more

I had 3 items to return, I had a receipt, they were new and unopened, they were still current inventoried items, but because they were 2 weeks outside their 90 day return policy, they would not accept the return, not even for a store credit. Since it was super scratched up Lowe's knocked $150 off (we were happy) realized after it was delivered that it was missing 2 shelves ($130 worth) and they broke a glass shelf- replaced that one but didn't clean all the broken glass out! - decided to give Lowe's another chance. Went up this last weekend to get a lawn tractor and trailer. It took forever but we understood, they were busy. When we got home. I bought a Hot Water Heater a little over a year ago. The dielectric nipple failed. I spent over 30 minutes being transferred from the operator to plumbing and back to operator and back to no answer in plumbing. Finally called back hit option for curb side, lady took information and next thing I knew had dial tone. Called and asked for manager, recapped my attempts for service. He told me only do curb side owner the internet. The lady did not tell me she was unable to help over phone. I was basically chastised for not knowing that. I finally got so frustrated I said never mind and he said ok he wouldn't. Last time I will walk in that store. Will shop Ace or Home Depot going forward. read more

I placed an online order on Aril 18, 2021. The estimated delivery date was April 23rd, today is May 26th and it still has not arrived. Since May 1st they say it is on the way to the store.. Order vinyl flooring, installation was almost $2500.00, so ordered different flooring that the installation was not so high. They sent us the wrong baseboards, had them returned, they credited us for somebody else product, but (there is always a but) then they called to tell us that we owed $600.00 more for the flooring all they charged us for was the baseboard and installation. I cancelled the whole order. Was told it would take 60 days to refund on our Lowe's card. Told them I do not want it on the card I wanted my 2007.00 back. Said they have to put it on our card then we could file a claim to get a check that would take another 30 days. Now I can't get flooring cause they are holding up my money for 3 to 4 months. A month ago I spent $1,780.00 on carpeting and padding for my very modest home. I was first told it would be a couple of weeks after my order to have the carpeting shipped to this Lowe's in Kalispell. After waiting 3 weeks I went in personally to speak to a manager...as I had been given the run around via phone conversations as to my order being handled. When speaking to the install agent here she said my carpeting was damaged...needed to be returned. So I waited another week...spoke to the manager again where he looked up my order and told me the carpeting had arrived...but upon sending email after email to Sue...I was rebuffed...receiving no emails. Today I had finally reached my tolerance threshold...called the manager here...was put in contact then to the install manager...Tracy...who explained to me the installer had tried reaching me on several occasions...where I was given the dates of attempted calls to reach me. Upon researching calls made to my line there were zero calls made to me on the dates I was told I was called by the installer. After receiving the installer's phone number I promptly called to find out...from this third party subcontractor...who said he didn't know I'd he called or not...or maybe another installer tried to. When asked...what's my number you have on file...he couldn't tell me. But quickly informed me that they are no longer installing for Lowe's. Then I called management again...told them this...they said oh...we didn't know this was happening already. Then I called customer 1-800...They called this Kalispell branch and after waiting on hold for thirty five minutes was disconnected by this rep. I called another rep...she called this Kalispell store and the operator told her the manager had gone home for the evening. She then told me she would be filing an official report to this Kalispell regarding my situation...of getting nowhere. Oh...one last point herenow...the installer I spoke informed me that corporate would be taking control of install services for carpeting from this day forward...and it would be months from now upon seeing my...already paid for carpeting of eighteen hundred dollars...be installed by this Lowe's in Kalispell MT...ughme. read more

1 and a half months ago I moved into my new cabin. It needed new carpet, as the old carpet was dirty and worn. I figured I'd go to Lowe's to get the job done. I contacted them in late June about the job. Within just 2 days, they sent someone out to measure and said an appointment would be set up within the week. Sounds great, I thought. Here's the first mess up by Lowe's. They said the carpet I had picked was in stock, but it turned out it wasn't. New stuff had to be shipped from North Carolina. That ended up taking about weeks. Fast forward to mid July. An appointment was set up on the 14th. As soon as a woke up that day, I moved out all of my furniture and appliances for the job. I was told that they would call from 1-2pm, and actually show up around 2-4pm. There I am sitting in my totally empty cabin on my phone waiting for the big moment. 1pm passes, then 2pm, 3pm, 4pm, 5pm. No word from lowes. At this point I decided to call them. They said they have no idea what's going on, but they'll find out and get back to me. An hour later, they call me back to tell me that the guy in charge of my carpet quit his job without notice and that they don't know the next time they can get a guy out to do it. I then move EVERYTHING back into my cabin. A few days later, I call them again to ask for a new appointment. They schedule a new time on August 6th. Guess I'm waiting another 2 weeks to get my splintery wood floor covered. It's now August 6th. I wake up, make breakfast, and prepare to start another furniture move. Very shortly after starting (thank goodness), Lowe's calls me and says they are rescheduling to Thursday, 2 days in the future. Unbelievable. Thursday. The moment I wake up at 7:30, I get a call from the actual carpet guy saying he would be here at 8am. Thats very soon, so I rush to move everything out of my cabin again. I get most of it out before 8am, and at around 8:10am, I get another call from the guy saying that now they won't be here until 2pm. A minor annoyance, at least it's getting done today. For once, true to his word, they guy shows up around 2pm, and begins installing the carpet. It takes about 2 hours to complete, and then he's out of here. The actual job was done well, but from June 25th to August 8th, I had to live in a cabin with no carpet. I don't think I will ever go to Lowes ever again. read more

Well, well, well, it looks like I'm not the only one who has experienced the horrible customer service at this Lowe's location in Kalispell MT. Other Lowe's stores have outstanding customer service, but not here. The reason for this is that they learn it from the top management at the store. I showed up to pick up my previously ordered/paid for online order of various items including a bunch of lumber. The gal, Shannon, at the online order check-in station was super friendly and helpful, but it went downhill from there. She did her thing, gave me the order pick-up form required to get my stuff and sent me to the other end of the store where my order was waiting. I go down there and a gal working the register, who was obviously new, wasn't sure what to do, so she called over two guys from the contractors desk. They were both a little older and a little over weight. One tall with gray hair/balding, the other short, gray hair, glasses and a mustache and/or beard. She hands the order to the taller guy who looks at it and hands it to the short one. They smirk at each other, he shoves it back at me and says you have to go to the other end of the store. I told him I was already their and they told me it was down here waiting. As I'm saying this, they both literally walk away from me. I look at the gal at the register and loudly say, "wow, what a couple of real assholes". They absolutely heard me, but never responded. After probably 15 minutes of the gal making calls, another gal comes pushing a cart down one of the lumber aisles with a bunch of my stuff, that was in the back of lumber area all along. I take it to my trailer right out front while she goes to get the other cart. The short fat one is in and out of the store a bunch of times while I'm loading, but completely ignoring me. That's when I look right at him and say, "Hey, look, it was down here all along!" Zero response. After a couple days of still being amazed at how they acted, I called the 800 number to complain. That gal listened and then said she's going to get the local manager on the phone. She gets John Hallman, who introduces himself as the assistant store manager and in charge of the contractors desk. I explain the whole deal to him and he seems genuinely concerned and states he's going to take care of it and asks what he could do to earn my business again. He then said he would like to have a cup of coffee with me to discuss. I explained that I don't live in the valley, but that I would be back for Labor day weekend and we could then. He got all my information and said he would call me once he knew what his schedule was. The very next day I called the store and asked for him, the gal asked my name, put me on hold and then came back saying he couldn't come to the phone, but would call me back. I was calling to give him a chance at pricing a large steel order for me. He never returned that call or called me prior to Labor Day for coffee as he said he would. I will NEVER step foot in this Lowe's again. read more

Lowe's is not capable of providing the curbside pick up service they are advertising. They are extremely understaffed but for some reason still advertising curb side pick up. I ordered an item that was in stock at the location near me. I ordered online and it took three days for the item to be "ready" for pick up. Upon arrival at the store I called the pick up phone number per the instructions on the signage. I spent ten minutes trying to connect to someone and kept getting my call redirected to the front desk. I had to go into the store to get help (which is NOT why I ordered online), and upon entry it was impossible to distance appropriately from other customers. When the cashier helped me, she just pushed the oversized box toward me without offering any help out or a cart or anything even though I was obviously alone and only had one free hand. Not going to waste my time or money here again. Extremely poor customer service. read more

Then when it was our turn the items were mispriced so we had to go back. Hit the help button 3 times and nobody showed up so we had to go find someone. Turned out to be a kid who had no idea. He offered to find someone but 10 minutes went by so we guessed and then saw him out getting carts. The only good thing about the store is the lady cashier in the contractor checkout. I have done a lot of business in the store, and they are going downhill fast. I just purchased an item that was on sale, and when I checked out I was charged more than the original price, not even counting the sale. The checker offered to have someone look, but there were six people behind me in line, and they didn't deserve to wait for such a delay. I waited at customer service for another 10 minutes. Finally got the difference charge to my credit card, and they acted like it was my mistake. No apology, no explanation. Makes me question every other purchase there. Came in at 7:00pm to purchase a washer dryer set and waited for 30 minutes for them to send someone to the appliance area, no one came over, we went back to customer service to ask where is help and they said that the appliance guy already went home at 6:30pm. Next day, same thing. I went in , picked it up myself (Free Delivery, HA!). Sticker on the wrapping plainly stated the arrival date at the stor....SIX days ago!!!
