Item we were looking for was out of stock and our friendly associate couldn't tell us when it would be restocked. Not our friendly's associate's fault but having a display model while confused at what box was the display model was confusing. It actually took our associate from another department to tell us that our preferred item was out of stock. Great on him for helping us out and making us decide on something else. This associate from the appliance department upgraded my review to from three to four despite the cashier yelling at us to keep the aisle clear. Note: the aisle was clear! We have spent thousands and thousands of dollars at this store during our kitchen renovation in the last 4 months. One of the associates made an honest mistake by entering the wrong dimensions of our countertops when we were planning our kitchen with a Lowe's associate. However, that associate needlessly cost us an additional $1,500 because she accidentally typed in the wrong dimensions of our island. Had we known the countertops were out of our budget, we simply would've chose other countertops that were within our budget our at least adjusted other items accordingly. We weren't upset with the associate because we understand mistakes happen. What was upsetting, however, was the lack of communication, respect, understanding, professionalism etc. by any of the customer service representatives all the way through to management. We barely got an apology after having to initiate dozens of phone calls that were never returned after being reassured that management would call us back to discuss how to rectify the situation. We were then told that if we decided not to follow through with the now out-of-budget countertops, that because we had put a deposit, we would actually lose money for not staying with those specific countertops. They obviously do not care about our business and that's fine because we have the freedom to support another store to finish our kitchen renovation! The lack of customer service we experienced after spending nearly $15,000 since January will make sure we never shop at another Lowe's with our hard-earned money again :) read more

I still needed more and was told the Olympia location had the same flooring and would ship to the Bonney Lake store and honor the price I had paid originally. When I called the Olympia location to verify what I was promised he took my phone Number down and said he would call me back after he physically checked his inventory. We just got a new refrigerator from Lowes, Yay, right? Well, it also came with thousands of dollars in damages to our recently refinished hardwood flooring. Thanks DSI! (*insert heavy sarcasm here!*) We expressly told the salesperson who took our order at Lowes that we had recently refinished our floors, and to make sure the delivery people were prepared to safely install our new refrigerator properly without damage to the floors. The people that delivered our refrigerator had clearly NEVER delivered/installed a refrigerator in their lives as it was still BOLTED to the delivery pallet. After several minutes of watching them struggle to figure out that it was even still connected to the pallet, we just asked them to leave. We've ordered appliances through Lowes in the past, even as recently as 6-9 months ago, and never had issues before. Apparently their pairing with DSI has absolutely tanked their delivery service. As others have mentioned, they also didn't honor their delivery window, and did not contact us at all to let us know they would be late with delivery. They left their garbage and used gloves in our driveway, and also were not wearing masks as is currently mandated in the state of Washington for Covid-19. We filed a complaint with Lowes, and they initiated one with DSI. DSI had 48 hours to resolve. It took them over 48 hours just to get the refrigerator off the shipping pallet, after which their "installation" consisted of plugging it in, and leaving it sitting in the middle of our kitchen. I could write a novel on everything we had to deal with during the months of July and August to try and get this resolved, but to rehash it all would be exhausting. It has taken 2 months to receive compensation for the cost of damages to our floors, and now we can finally schedule the repairs! Every interaction we have had with people from DSI has been abhorrent and unprofessional, from phone calls at 10:00 at night to "whoops, it totally slipped my mind." I feel certain that the only reason Lowes contracted with them is because they were probably the cheapest delivery company that offered a bid, so they could make the highest profits. Day one Lowes representatives acted like they wanted to help, but have been conspicuously silent ever since. Lowes is just as much to blame in this issue, as they are the ones who decided to contract out with DSI in the first place. As long as Lowes contracts with DSI, we will no longer be purchasing appliances from them. We are sharing our experience across multiple platforms with the recommendations that others avoid doing so as well, so that they are spared this headache, frustration, and utter disappointment. read more

Not a fan of Lowe's on line ordering system nor their customer service I order a generator online about feb 15 2019 I get an email about a week later that The generator manufacturer had canceled my order because there was a new lower price So on Feb 22 I contact customer service at the store that I was to pick it up at and they are very rude and not helpful. acted like I am bothering them. they can't help me,no idea it was an online order, etc et. After being passed 3 times each time having to go through the whole story I call corporate customer service. They help me get it ordered at the new lower price and say it will be on back order until March 22. Ok I patiently wait the month and call where is my generator? Same issue manufacturer canceled my order but this time it is because of a new higher price and get this it will be on back order until April 22. Front end "know it all" lady told me item was not in stock. Said if it says it's in stock online doesn't mean it's accurate. The customer service at this location was so bad, just AWFUL. I bought a grill and accessories for my SO (a big purchase) as a gift from Lowe's online and today it was delivered, we were really excited. My SO went to get the charcoal and wood for smoking today to this location and afterward called me from the car saying 1) the employees were unhelpful 2) they did not help him find the correct charcoal for the type of grill 3) they closed the entire aisle for the grill section and RUSHED HIM OUT OF THE AISLE. This was a gift and the experience was ruined by some extremely bad customer service. And this is a friendly, happy person who went to that store excited, and he is not one to complain which is why I'm writing this review. Customer service training needed. I called into Lowe's to check to see if they had the product I was looking for before I left my house. (I had searched many other places and didn't want to waste gas and time if they didn't have it). I accidentally hit the wrong number on their automated system (I was looking for garden and I hit appliances). I apologized to the employee and told him I hit the wrong and was looking gardening, to which his answer was "aaahhhhh I am with someone else right now can you just call back"? Then hangs up. Thinking that was odd because usually they can transfer you to the right department. So I call back and I cannot reach anyone. The automated system just keeps starting over, I tried 4 more times, never got a hold of another person and ended up going elsewhere because if I got treated like that on the phone, I can only imagine in store. read more

On the 6th calendar day I called to see if by chance the order came in early. To my dismay I was informed the expected delivery date in-store was going to be an extra 3-weeks!!!! I did not receive a call informing me of this delay in delivery. In an era of prompt delivery of orders and customer expectation of a courtesy call, I received not one! Worst company I have EVER done business with!!! Purchased a new washer and dryer set in October 2021 within 6 months the washer died!! I have fought for well over 2 months to get the washer repaired yet still no help!! The washer has a 1 year warranty but they tell me to contact Whirlpool, I have numerous times and Whirlpool tells me there are no repair people in my area but if I find someone they will reimburse me up to $150 for repairs.. wtf? That's not a warranty!! Lowes tells me there is nothing they can do for me and that they only guarantee for 30 days!! Wow!! $1900 purchase and this is the service I get? Went the other day for some curtain rods and ran into a work bench for sale. Talked to the lady who runs that section and she was very helpful and even let me purchase the floor model, helped me take apart what I needed to fit it inside my truck and was overall just a great experience. This Lowes has great employees. Will be returning for future purchases for sure! read more

The first week of November 2018, we purchased a garage door, custom front door and custom sliding glass door. The garage door was never ordered, we found out a month later, so we canceled the order on that. 1st install date for house doors, installers show up without the front door. It was at the store but wasn't given to them or put on the work order. The wrong door trim was sent, and just the new handle and no deadbolt for the double bore door. Installers had to go back to get the door. The glass sliding door (custom) was manufactured to open the opposite direction of what we needed. It had to be reordered. After another month, installers come back, were not given the deadbolt or the correct white trim for front door. They had to go back to the store to get them. The custom sliding door now opens the right way, but they forgot to add the white grid panels we requested way back in November. We had it installed so we didn't have to wait another month + and no guarantee it would be right again, got a credit back for the grids, however, the door is not what we set out to have in our home. How do you mess up a custom ordered door, twice? We were not given any kind of credit for all our inconvenience. The installers themselves were great. The lack of customer service by the order/install dept of Lowes is absolutely abominable and we will never, never have them do another project in our home. We have 15 windows to replace in our home and a garage door still, Lowes will not get those projects. Crazy. Support a local contractor and stay clear of this place. Oh, and they are tricky about their survey calls too. They call and only ask questions about the contracted installers, which were great. But they won't ask you any questions about rating the store, customer service or the buying experience. I work with 3000 people in this area, telling them all our experience. read more

Extremely poor customer service! I waited at customer service behind 1 other customer for 5 min while the 2 people behind counter were on the phone. So I just went to a reg checkout. Marie, the checker, was great. I told her I wanted 10 boxes of Portland cement (94lbs each). She said she needed to check called 2 different depts to see if the had it and to get help to load it, without success. She went to the lady at customer service to ask for help, she told Marie that I would need to get it myself, excuse me, they weigh 94 POUNDS EACH! Marie apologized and offered to call the manager for me, but I declined, I didn't have any more time to waste! You should not have to see a manager to get service. Marie apologized again. Wow, disappointing. Our rental home is in Yelm and we stopped in at Home Depot in Spanaway to pick up items for repair. Awesome customer service; already left a great review for them. The difference in customer service between stores is glaring. We were in Lacey the next day and had 1 more item to get so we stopped in at Lowes. We felt like a complete inconvenience to the employees. When we asked where the plumbing section was, the response: "Over there, that way" with a hand gesture. We asked a guy in doors if they carried a particular item (after hunting down an associate) and his response: "I dont think so, No". Meaning: "I don't feel like checking". Still searching for a knowledgeable employee, my husband asked 2 guys who passed us (once again, didn't ask if we needed help) for help in doors, they stated they'd get someone. 15 min later he finally pushed a rolling stair cart into the middle of the aisle and an associate came up. Not one associate out of 6 we encountered made an attempt at being pleasant or helpful. The store was pretty shoddy and the plants section had a lot of wilted plants; it seemed to be a reflection of the lackadaisical attitude of staff. We finally bought the 1 item we had to have at the moment and left. We'll drive the extra 5 miles to Home Depot next time. Lowes is about what you'd expect from a chain home improvement store. This particular store is pretty similar to most with two exceptions I've found: the employees are incredibly friendly, and their lumber inventory is below average. Specifically, if you are looking for white wood, save yourself a trip and just go to Home Depot. Whatever you're looking for, they're out of it. Two trips in a two week span, and two follow up trips to Home Depot. I spent over $100 there today, and still had to make a separate trip to Home Depot for basic lumber. read more

Now they are telling me they can't reopen my account that I would have to reapply for the credit card. I'm normally a Home Depot shopper - not for any amazing reason, mostly just that I've been going to the same Home Depot for a long time, know quite a few people who work there, and know where things are. A little background... I found myself in need of a new water heater recently - the Sunday after Thanksgiving in fact. I went to Home Depot, found the one I was looking for, and went to the service desk to schedule the installation. They were honestly clueless. First they sent me to a phone at the end of the counter that connects to their 24 hour installation line. It ran me through a bunch of menus, then had me on hold for a bit, and finally said they were closed. The 24 hour line was closed? Huh? The employee at the service desk tried to get the order entered in her computer. She filled out a couple forms, took my info and said "I think they'll call you?" Hmm, didn't seem like I was going to get the quick install that I needed here. I left the store at about 7:50 PM on Sunday and decided to call Lowes just to see what the chances were of getting a water heater installed ASAP. I got connected to the plumbing department and explained the size and type I needed (about 5 minutes before closing). He said he took the info down and that their local plumber was closed for the day, and that he would be out the next day until 1 PM, but he would leave a note for the other employee in plumbing to call the plumber to see how soon they could get out to do my install. I wasn't optimistic, but the next morning I called the store and was connected to the plumbing department. The employee working knew all of my info, had called the plumber and scheduled an appointment for that afternoon. He had the paperwork ready, so all I had to do was come in and sign it and pay for the water heater. read more

I was at this Lowes tonight to return and buy the correct light bulbs for new outdoor lights ( Which I bought also at this Lowes) The lights I returned were the correct size but said indoor. I was looking for specific outdoor bulbs listed on the lights sold by Lowes. Unable to find what I was looking for I went to the first customer service person I could find, who happened to be at the self check out She paged over the intercom for someone to come to aisle 8. I waited 10 minutes no one came, I saw another staff person and told her my dilemma, she paged again and again no one came. I went back to the woman at self check, who rudely asked me if I had waited twenty minutes I said "yes" she said "I mean since the last time you asked" I said " I'm not waiting another 20 minutes." I went to the front desk asked for a manager who by the way was surrounded by at least six other employees doing who knows what. I expressed my complaint and walked out. I just purchased a dryer online from the Olympia store for delivery. Beware that even though you order from Olympia the Lacey store handles delivery. I also learned from a rude person at the Lacey store who has been rude to me before by phone that essentially your 12 hour delivery window does not narrow even on the date of delivery until just before your product shows up. I also had other delivery problems last year when I purchased a jacuzzi tub from Olympia Lowe's and they essentially could not find my tub. Last month I bought a gas stove online from Lowe's. Delivery on it went well but Within a month I had to schedule two repairs with a GE warranty repair person who is booked up for two weeks. read more

I stopped at Lowe's home improvement store to look for a plunger for my kitchen sink. I was greeted right away, by an associate. He gave me his top recommendations, of what type of plungers to use, and asked, what else I have been using to unclog my kitchen sink. I also spoke to a customer who was in the plumbing field, and he also gave me good, solid, advice. I now have a unclogged sink, after 3 days of nothing working, to unclog the sink.
