First off, we went to the wrong section. Plastic encased rods are full price. Bulk ones are less expensive (because it's not pre-packaged). It is a good thing hubby brought the broken one for comparison. Jacob was assisting us this morning. We needed a wooden closet rod (ours at home, was split in half). But hubby looked it up online and found it was around $10.63. Except there was a discrepancy. So it was confusing. Jacob continued scanning to make sure there was no more confusion. He was nice, very helpful, and patient. We really appreciated his help. There was a price difference. So hubby asked one of the managers, Jan, if she'd honor the price. What was weird is on the website, he shared his location so he just thought that the store selected was the closest store, this one. No, it was North Las Vegas. Stated there were 18 left at this store. Jan was very nice too. She did a price over ride for us. Thank You to Jacob and Jan for your assistance this morning. We really appreciate all of your effort. The rod was an inch longer so with stringbean's help, he trimmed it with a hacksaw. Hubby was able to get his part of the closet situated this afternoon. Yay! read more

I pulled into a lot and got lucky to see Lowe's and David went inside expecting to be sold 50 dollars worth of bungees and got even luckier to meet Haroon. He came outside and just fixed it for us. Recently replaced the handles & dead bolts for three entry doors. Purchased three Kwikset sets, with the smart key reset feature. Installed all three sets of handles and deadbolts, and reset all the key locks, so one key can unlock/lock all three handles and three dead bolts. However, one of the handles was not operating properly. After some troubleshooting, I figured the handle was defective. Contacted Lowes, spoke to a nice associate, asking if I could exchange just handle portion, as I had already installed all the other handles, all the deadbolts, and had reset all 6 locks. Was told this was not a problem, just provide the receipt, and bring back the handle portion and originals keys, and they'll swap out the handles. Got to Lowes, waited in line for about 20 minutes, and the associate working the counter had the replacement all ready to go. She was a bit busy and summoned another associate to assist. As the new associate started to open the package, some random associate appeared, telling me that I cannot just replace the handle, and that I needed to go back home, uninstall the deadbolt, and bring that back as well, to complete the exchange. I explained to him that I had already spoken to 2 other associates before coming here and the exchanged was approved, and already started. He stated that he works in hardware (relevance?), they're not correct, and that I need to bring all items together because the original keys need to operate the locks. I had to explain again to him that I had everything installed and already reset, so the original keys are not going to work on the defective handle and deadbolt, . Not sure why that's a requirement, as all the locks all have the reset feature. Also, Im sure the manufacturer can reset the locks. It was the handle that wads defective, not the locks. He advised me that since the original keys won't operate the handle, that I need to purchase another handle for $35. I already dropped $243 on the new sets, with one being defective. Didn't make sense to me, but for the sake of argument, I just bought another set and left. It just would have been nice to been told this information when I called, before driving there and before the exchange taking place. I later called and spoke to a manager to get some clarification on this situation, and was told that he would have just completed the exchange. It really just matters on who you deal with on any given day. read more

Not a fan of businesses that act like customers are stealing in the self checkout and hovering over them the entire time.

I bought a $250 kohler toilet and after about a week, it's running and I cannot stop it, I found that the fill valve is clearly faulty and needed to be replaced. I installed the toilet with no issue. I've installed many toilets. Any plumber will tell you that it's easy to do. I found the fill valve to be leaking and would not stop. I had my wife go to Lowe's to get a replacement valve with the receipt, pictures and a video explanation. The first person that my wife spoke to in customer service said, "That sounds like the Plumber's problem." The Plumber's problem!!? I thought Lowe's encouraged homeowners to make repairs on their own homes and insisted it's easy with Lowe's help. I don't need my wife to be mansplained to.. in the end she was forced to buy a fluidmaster aftermarket valve because they didn't have the the replacement. She paid full price because old timey service is nonexistent. Someone should've insisted on replacing it free of charge. I started going to Lowe's and driving extra miles past Home Depot because I was tired of not finding anyone at Home Depot, but that's going to change. Pity read more

I had a really bad experience here in 2020. This is the first time I've been back when I arrived. There was a male at the exit and a the male at the entrance. They both were trying to sell me something. I walked right by them thinking here we go again... upon entry. I headed over to the appliances because I needed a microwave. A gentleman named Royal asked me if I needed help. I said yes I need a microwave. He said oh well you might have to order it online. I said no I saw a few online that said they were in the store. He scanned the one I was looking for they had it. It took a few minutes and he brought it up, scanned it, checked me out and also brought it all the way to my car in the parking lot even after I offered to pull it up five star service. Side note while I was waiting for the microwave two other people asked me if I needed help, it looks like they definitely have some good customer service reps. read more

Our remarkable shopping experience at Lowe's on Ft. Apache/Tropicana was an illusion, apparently. We were purchasing washer/dryer. However, we were also purchasing our appliances for kitchen, fridge, undercounter microwave, dishwasher, gas range. We purchased all Bosch appliances because of their reputation; BUT, we were also to receive approximately hundreds of dollars in rebates. I'm on a fixed income so we couldn't beat the rebates. Each time, the cashier explained to us that they had filled out and submitted our rebates for us. We were very grateful. Remember one name but not the other one. I will just say it was an older gentleman who appeared to work in appliances a lot. The other was a woman. She seemed less experienced. She also didn't care what we were buying. She still had an attitude. The man was very thankful and kind. Guess what? We got ZERO REBATES! We went on Bosch rebate site...no information about us buying any appliances. I called. They said it was beyond the time frame and couldn't help us. I tried a few more times but they still said no. However, we are not unsatisfied with Bosch. We were extremely unhappy with Lowes. If your employees are not aware how to submit rebates, why are they still saying they can? Why are you allowing them also? read more

My husband and I came here on a Wednesday morning to obtain a backyard screen door and a front yard security door. They didn't have what we were looking for readily available, but sales employee, Matt, was more than accommodating to help us find what we wanted. Matt helped us by showing different choices for the security door and was able to special order the right size screen door. He wasn't able to order us the security door we wanted, but he let us know that he would contact the supplier to see if it could be special ordered. He took our info and called us at home less than an hour later to let us know that it could be special ordered. He said we could go back to the store to finalize the purchase or he could do it over the phone. Matt also took us down the correct aisle to find what we need to repair holes in our walls. He even went out of his way to check us out at the register. Matt goes above and beyond with customer service. We are very grateful for his help and will continue to shop at this Lowe's. read more

Absolute garbage customer service at this store. Started out with an $8 grand carpet order which I was lied to about in regard to what was included. Then I order $600 worth of home goods which I kept getting different delivery dates. I was not going to make multiple trips to pick up items when it stated it was all supposed to be delivered to the store at once. I then get an email stating if I don't pick up today it will get cancelled. I called five times to try to get someone, finally did and explained the situation. They told me to hold on, 10 minutes later, they hung up on me. I cancelled the order. I'll buy it at Home Depot. read more

Okay I'm going to start by saying just avoid this place for now!! First of all I was the happiest person to find very healthy Venus fly traps and only $5.99! But the moss I needed for my orchids were in the garden outdoor section so all of it is so dried up that it's dust now! Real smart. Then we finally find the garage door openers to find two to choose from. $34.99 for one remote that had zero information on it. I know my garage door and what I need. Ugh. No idea if it's going to work. Everywhere we've gone for weeks now has been completely sold out of garage door opens. Weird. Update: Garage door didn't work! :( Then we are ready to check out and find two cashiers open with the lines through the store aisles! When we got up to the register I was happy again to be done with it all but the guy checking us out ops to tell us that the computer system is so slow that's why the lines are so long. I didn't say anything about it so you know this isn't right. if your computers are that slow all the time you should have more registers open. Duh. I honestly think that just made them look worse by opting that excuse. Customer service is no longer something you will receive just about everywhere. Sad. Came here on a Friday evening for a couple of items for my backyard, namely mulch and peat moss.  The store was very quiet inside!  I would say only about five to ten customers total.  The garden center was like a ghost town.  Not one soul could be found.  I was able to find both items very easily in there.  All the staff members at this Lowe's location are friendly and knowledgable.  I've had some wonderful staff members help me locate items that I couldn't find before. The most unprofessional experience I have ever encountered. Was having a pretty nice day and went in the get a Xmas tree. 7-8' noble firs were in a section with a price label directly behind them for $59.99, which seemed like a great deal but, sure enough, when I checked the tag it said $99. I questioned this because retail has always honored these discrepancies with the lower label and the associates agreed. It's simple but they said a manager would need to sign off. Fair enough. After 4 intercom pages and 15 minutes a frazzled manager finally came out and just told the associate to overwrite it. He asked what he should overwrite the price to and, since neither of them could figure it out, I thought I'd lend a helping hand and walked her over to the mislabeled price. She looked at it for about half a second and immediately blurted "I'm not honoring that for you." I calmly asked why (still having a good day at this point) and tried to use good ol' rational logic of a labeled price in writing she cleared it up by saying "I'm not honoring it for YOU." Ummm, are we picking up on a fight I don't remember starting?? She then said the lower price is "clearly scratched out." 1. Per the pic, it's not scratched out. It's scuffed because it's old. I get it- the old label was erroneously left up but 2. Even if it was scratched out (again, it wasn't), that's not how retail pricing works. You don't scratch out old prices, leave them up, and then display conflicting higher prices. If anything, as a common marketing tactic, you can scratch out HIGHER prices and replace them with a new lower one but you don't do the reverse. This is Retail 101 While I'm still digesting her reply she said "We can sell this beautiful tree to someone else besides this f*cking loser" Wow. Ok now I'm angry. I'm 44, haven't been talked to like that since high school and those words always led to... unfavorable circumstances that I clearly can't, nor have any desire to, bring back 3 decades later. I didn't really care about the $30 difference but now it's personal so I embarrassingly put on my Karen hat, took a pic of the price label, and politely said I would be contacting corporate. "Have fun calling corporate loser". Okayyyy. I understand having a bad day. We all have them. But we're also adults that need to carry jobs to pay our bills and, should said job involve customer service (as mine does too), then part of that job entails compartmentalizing personal emotions in lieu of professionalism. Otherwise you toggle between minimum wage, unemployment lines and collection agencies. Which leads to my conclusion: bafflement as to why this "manager" is not in these circumstances and a 1-star review geared towards upper management in charge of these decisions. Our recession is likely to worsen and Las Vegas will take the brunt of this as we always do so I "employ" these decision makers to justify their Amazon-threatened compensation via diligent competent screening. I wanna start this review off by saying I work at Home Depot customer service and partake in the returns as well as the order pick up section. Came to Lowe's to pick up a box of tile to see if the color was to my liking as I came back within five minutes to realize that it was not the right color. I then came in to cancel my entire order and the one box that has already been released . It should have taken maybe five minutes to go ahead and cancel the remaining of my order and return that one case but, took approximately 20 minutes. Lowe's has multiple people for the pick up section as well as the return so you would think this should be a faster experience. The pick up counter told me they could not return or cancel any of my order that I had to go to the return section. I'm not too sure what's so complicated about canceling six boxes and returning one that I had taken to my car. I went to the return section just for Reana to go ahead and recount everything that I just picked up from the pick up counter... she also asked me for my ID, which I used to pick up the cases of tile and had left in my vehicle which is yet again another inconvenience to me. I came back in after grabbing my ID from the vehicle to see Jose, which was in training and Mickday (pick up counter associates) and Reana (Return associates) gossiping regarding my return. No customer hand off.. just not wanting to be bothered at all. They scattered like roaches after I arrived to the counter. She didn't even scan it just verified I was the pick up person. Im returning not picking up LOL! They are paying five associates for the job one associate completes at Home Depot and they are very slow at that. You definitely don't need basic critical thinking skills to be hired at this Lowe's. read more

I got really great service at this store. Every employee who saw me and/or passed me asked me how I was doing and if I needed help. This was at least three different people. I also stopped in to the Garden Center to ask about bulbs. The cashier wasn't sure if they carried any but when another employee happened by she asked her (on my behalf). Said employee tracked me down to inquire if I was the one asking about bulbs. I ended up finding them myself but was thrilled that they went to such trouble. Definitely would come back! read more

This particular hunt I was looking for a sink bowl to fit an older house vanity, as the one that currently was there is no longer usable. Normally these DIY stores are hit and miss with customer service. But tonight I was pretty lucky. We got everything we needed to make the repairs.
