The issue with this store is merely a reflection of Corporate lowes who is notoriously disorganized with an off shore customer service with totally unqualified Reps coupled to logistical support that is worse than USPS. Thats Bad. I.E. Ordered a Patio Table on line. No confirmation and no tracking number. Had to check my account to see they had taken the money before shipped and call CS to get info. No notice delivery. Item placed on the side of the house in Damaged box. Wrong item delivered much cheaper than what I payed. On phone with CS for over an hour two calls trying to get a resolution. I even offered to accept the table and just be reimbursed the difference. They declined. They said someone would call within 24 hours to arrange pick up and replace with proper table. Wrote CS and told them what was happening and get this resolved or I would. They never responded. I went to my credit card company and filed a report of a fraudulent charge and was reimbursed and told Lowes to come and get the table I'll go to someone else. Still no response. How something so routine can get this screwed up by a company who's reviews are already in the toilet is simply inept and unacceptable at any level read more

I moved to Delaware and ordered a washer dryer from Lowe's and they delivered a washer in the morning on one truck and seven hours later delivered the dryer I have another truck this inconvenience was no felt concern to Lowe's in the way that the person phone felt as I've told them I was going to make a complaint and he told me join the list with laughter. This is the last time that I will use Lowe's this kind of attitude I don't particularly enjoy I will not spend my money at a place like this. read more

I had my windows measured by one of Lowes' contractors. HOW hard is it to just have anyone answer the phone! I bought a new washer and dryer from Lowes Home Improvement (Lewes) on June 1, 2020 and scheduled deliver for July 6, 2020 between 8 Am and Noon. I called Lowes on the morning of July 6 to confirm the details, which they did. The delivery company called at 12:40 saying my delivery was scheduled for between 1 and 5. When they showed up the goods were damaged and had to be sent back. After several phone calls, I was able to reschedule a new delivery for the next day. The goods came damaged once again. Called the store to try to cancel the order, but bounced around from department to department because no one was picking up the phone in appliances. In the process, I was hung up on twice. Went into the store to process the cancellation and they were rude and unhelpful. They wasted two days of my time. I will not be shopping there in the future. read more

This store is the worst for appliances !! Do not buy any major appliance from this place. They totally screwed up our delivery, and then would not make it right by us. Wasted 3 hours driving to Delaware, then 4 hours of waiting for delivery, and then another 3 hours driving home. The appliance had NEVER even come in from wherever they were getting it, even though they had sent us an email the day before that it was coming on that day. No contact, call, e-mail or any communication warning us beforehand of any change of status. Then basically stonewalled us, and would not take responsibility for the screw up. So disappointed... We purchased a fridge($2,500) Our delivery was scheduled between 2-4pm, at 3:50 we called Lowe's to check on the delivery, they told us to call the company that's handling the delivery directly. We called the delivery company who told told us that they will have the driver call us back. Two hours later when we did not hear from anyone, we called Lowe's back asked for a manager but he was not available to speak to us, the customer service representative stated it's normal for the deliveries to run two behind schedule. At 7 pm we received a call from the delivery company stating that they can't deliver because the fridge wasn't on the truck. We are on vacation, we canceled all excursion for the day and without a fridge, with small kids, this is not acceptable. read more

Purchased Appliances there . Waited a week for delivery and set up . Delivery came but they couldn't hook the appliances up because the salesman did not sell us a stacking kit or dryer cord . The hookup was rescheduled for a week later . I made the two hour drive to our vacation home and waited...... installers never showed up . Not only did they not show but we didn't receive a call or an excuse as to why . I called the store and was told they had put me on the schedule for the following day as a first stop to make up for the missed hookup . Again they never showed and never called . At this point I had taken off three days work for this install that never happened. Upon calling the store again I was told I was on schedule for that evening between 4-8pm . I advised them that time wouldn't work for me because I needed to return home for work the next day . I filed a complaint with corporate and was told a member of management would return my call within 24 hours . Needless to say o never heard from anyone. I called corporate a second then third time and have yet to receive a call from management. I'm very disappointed with the entire process that Lowes has . Went to Lowes to buy a grill this weekend. We found a demonstration grill we wanted to buy on the floor, but not one that was boxed and available for sale. After waiting for 1/2 hour watching staff avoid us, 2 pages for help and even 1 staff member laugh at us when we asked for help, we walked out without a grill. Disappointing experience. read more

Wanted to order shades for two rooms. Measuring process went fine, but then no one in the shades dept. or anywhere in the store knew where the measurements were when we drove back to order the shades. The young assistant asked several store managers while we sat for a half hour, but no one could find them. I called the measuring company that same night and they returned call the next day saying that indeed, they had faxed the measurements to Lowes within a half hour of the measuring at our home. They interceded with Lowes and of course, the numbers had been there the whole time in the file drawer just where we sat. I understand that sometimes the young staff have not been trained completely, but there needs to be a manager in the store every night who knows where things are kept. How else are they going to sell any shades? We will go back now for at least half of this project because we already paid $35 for the measuring guy to come out; but we are not happy with the level of service. The young assistant was polite, but obviously the store needs managers with some skills to back them up. It was about 5:00 pm, not like closing time or anything. We made several. Josh is super nice and extremely knowledgeable about the products he sells, and he made our shopping experience a a great one. This would be 0 stars if possible. Worst experience ever! Never work or make an appointment with PAT GIULIANI. We made an appointment a week ahead of time to meet with Pat Giuliani who claimed she was the best at kitchen redesign and was going to help us so much. We scheduled the appointment for 9am on Saturday March 19th. We woke up and drove 45min-1hr. To get to lowes only to find out Pat was supposed to be at work at 8:30 and didn't show up. We walked around the store for about an hour waiting for her and she never showed up. Never followed up. I contacted corporate Lowes about this for an explanation...it is now March 25th and I still haven't heard back. I guess corporate Lowes is just as bad as their workers at the stores. Just don't show up for work when you have scheduled appointments? So unprofessional. DO NOT WORK WITH PAT GIULIANI!!! We went over to Home Depot instead and we were treated way better and received amazing customer service. I will never go back to Lowes and I will share this experience with everyone that I come in contact with. Put in an order for curbside pick up. Received 2 items and was told I had to go the mulch pit to get the last item. After waiting for 35 mins, I was told they don't even have the item. But of course the first curbside people marked the order picked up and charged me. I am not even sure why I am bothering complaining, because it is clear they don't care. I had to go back to customer service to get a refund and all she could give me was store credit. She also felt the need to tell me rudely this wasn't her problem or fault. NEVER call Lowe's Sussex County because I have found that only 1 in every 12 calls is answered. Yes, to prove a point I made numerous calls to get some clarity regarding a failure to deliver appliances when promised. On three occasions after having driven almost 2 hours from Pennsylvania, I had to drive to the store to get the info needed. In the first instance when no one was assigned to the appliance department (on weekday mornings), I asked to speak to a manager or supervisor but they were too busy. Yep. Too busy. A coordinator called said microwave and dishwasher would be delivered today. The 20th of July. LSet up time. Microwave came no dishwasher. Installer knew nothing about a dishwasher. Called back left 7 messages with coordinator and no call back. Called Lowe's dishwasher not in after being told it was. Now all this was ordered a month ago. No one told us we had to schedule the stove. I set it up for July 21 but they showed up on the 20th of July and went to the wrong house. So we canceled the dishwasher and going to Home Depot. Customer service is TERRIBLE here!. We attempted to buy carpet to have installed back in June. They ordered a 12ft roll instead of a 15ft roll and it took over 3 months with being told they "would take care of it, call me back , etc" to finally give me my money back at my request. Well because we didn't want to pay another measuring fee, my husband convinced me to try this again so we went back yesterday to Lowes to repurchase and order the carpet stressing we need a 15ft ordered. Josh at the flooring department was super friendly and helpful but when we went to pay; the register was ringing up more than the invoice. The had to call the manager who was John. John needs some training in customer service and honestly, just communicating. He was extremely rude and cocky. I asked him flat out "am I being rude to you" and he gestured saying "not quite but almost there" in his response. Well John was already being rude and IM THE CUSTOMER. I felt I was being extremely patient being our ordeal and gave John time to handle things. I see below in another review that John shared a customer berated him which she denied. It may be time to retrain your management in customer service, validation, patience and communication. I would like to think it's the stress of the holidays but customer service last summer in trying to order a carpet; we experienced the same attitude from management. If you're going in and out for a quick item, the store is fine, if you're trying to do major renovations though Lowes, go somewhere else because if there is a mistake on their part, you won't get any response or just common decency when they speak to you. It makes me sad for the employees if managers there treat their employees the same as they do their customers. read more

I ordered a new dishwasher and stove in person and confirmed with them that Lowe's would contact me to schedule a day of delivery. This morning I got a call from the delivery company telling me that they were delivering today between 1:30 and 5:30 and that I could not reschedule. I am at work all day and no one will be home. I told them that and they said to contact Lowe's. I have been trying for the past 6 hours to get ahold of ANYONE at Lowe's in Lewes (and general Lowe's customer service) to no avail. I do not recommend buying appliances here. While the sales staff are great to work with, the installation staff are terrible. The first time they delivered my refrigerator the door was installed on the wrong side. When they flipped the door around, they scratched the door. They subsequently replace the door. After they left, I open the door. It had scratches and dirt on it. After that, the icemaker started leaking. The installation staff are rushed and unattentive. I chose to have the icemaker repaired by Ed Wright's appliance repair. read more

A lot of stores are struggling with curbside pickup, including Lowes. My husband ordered a garden tool and a few other things. When we arrived for pickup we called the posted number on the sign to let them know we were there. No answer after multiple tries, not even a chance to leave voice mail. 5 other cars were waiting too. We finally flagged down an employee in the parking lot who said, "Not my job." After 25 minutes somebody finally came out. After another 25 minutes he brought our order out but said part of it was missing and he would be right back with it. We waited. After another 20 minutes a different guy came out. He went to check. After another 10 minutes he came back and told us the first guy was wrong and there was nothing missing that could be supplied so that's why the first guy didn't come back. I am a Lowe's credit card holder. I like the Lewes' Lowe's but have a suggestion and a 5 star review of one of your employees. As for my suggestion, I'd also like to see your employees walking around more and offering help to more of your customers without having to search one out much of the time. Don't need more employees just more mobile ones. As for your outstanding employee I suggest asking for Andrew in large appliance dept. if in need of refrigerator, washing machine etc. He has EXCEPTIONAL product knowledge and sincerity to find just the right appliance for each customers' needs. We have used his advice to purchase a new washing machine and dryer and have also overheard him converse with other customers also. His excellent people skill demeanor makes me give Andrew 5 stars (6 if could). read more

My son bought a trailer from the Millsboro Lowe's on the 21st of September. Tragically he died on the 27th. The website states a 30 day return policy for trailers. Although my nephew returned it with the necessary documentation, the assistant manager, Matt refused to take it back. According to both Matt and Kyle, the manager, Lowe's Millsboro has a policy of their own which is 7 days. A call was made to the Seaford store and the manager there said "bring it over, we'll take it back here". Millsboro chose to stick with their unwritten anywhere policy while Seaford chose to honor written corporate policy as well as care and concern for a grieving customer's family. I was just told by corporate office at 1-800-445-6937 that the portable Ãc unit I purchased from them last year and Idyllis model which they don't carry anymore and most likely because of bad of reviews they now carry the Hisense because they got a better price on a bulk purchase from them. In Nov. after having a Lowe's contractor measure the space we selected new kitchen cabinets and doors at the Lowes in Lewes DE. The saleswoman with whom we were working encouraged us to wait until the Jan. sale. During this meeting she couldn't find the measurements though she said she had seen them. We met her again in mid Jan. for what we thought was the finalization of the process, but during this meeting our order on her computer screen disappeared as we sat there. She couldn't retrieve after several tries though there should've been an automatic back-up. This is probably where and when the order was botched. We also disagreed with the measurements of the cabinets but we had to sign signed the contract in late Jan having to agree to the Loews' contractor's measurements or face "not having the cabinets installed." We spent $2,000 more than the highest bid we had from local kitchen remodelers. In May when the cabinets were installed they had the wrong door fronts (ones we never agreed to), were missing end panels for two cabinets, and needed several spacers between the cabinets so they would fit. One cabinet was 3 in. too small we balked at adding another 3 in spacer and Loews agreed to exchange the cabinet. We have tried to resolve these issues through Lowes' Customer Care, but they haven't returned our numerous calls though each time we're told a regional manager will call within 24 hrs. By an email from the salesperson we dealt with in Lewes, Lowes agreed to exchange the too small cabinet and provide labor only for the new cabinet doors. We didn't agree but told them to go ahead and order the larger cabinet. Yesterday we received a Lowes "credit" without an explanation. We assume this the amount of the cabinet. We have yet to actually talk to human other than call center operator. Buyer beware. read more

Horrible customer service. On Saturday we paid $35. to have someone come to assess installing a water heater. Was told we'd receive a call within 48 hours but was not told the 48 hours started on Monday. We made it very clear we don't live there & was going home (in PA) on Monday. On Tuesday I phoned & spoke with a store manager, explained the situation, & he ensured me he'd take the $35. off our Lowes charge that same day. On Thursday I receive a bill for $35. Phoned Lowes, asked to speak to a manager, was on hold off and on with customer service for 40 minutes, during which time none of their 4 managers picked up the phone. Customer service said she took the $35. off but it's my responsibility to phone the credit card bank to make sure I don't have to pay the bill. Lewes store 0658.Today is September 26 and no sign of the dishwasher we ordered in-store and paid for on August 19th. A dishwasher was delivered a few weeks after but it was rejected in that it was banged up; the floor of the unit inside was pushed up as a result of a hard hit and was not discovered until installed. We were told another one would be delivered on September 24. However, on September 13th I received a text at 10:58 AM "Your Lowes delivery is CONFIRMED FOR.(emphasis not added) ...2PM-6PM...." Then at 5:40 PM, another text "Your Lowes order is out for delivery..." Of course we stayed home all day but no delivery. Next day Lowes states it does not know why I received their texts but delivery is on for September 24th. When that day arrived we stayed home but No delivery. I called Lowes appliance department; phone would ring there forever then get kicked back to main menu. After six or seven attempts; it is answered. In response to my question as to why I was told "I have no idea when your order will be delivered...that is determined by the manufacturer." I say "no idea?" Response "thats right we have no idea."Called repeatedly yesterday but no one in appliance would answer. So here we sit on September 27th in total ignorance and no dishwasher that I paid well north of $700 for. This is a new Low for Lowes. read more

Ben Logan and son repair , the worst people ever to repair anything from dishwasher,dryer ,washer ,refrigerator, to ever walk the face of the earth . Five weeks of trying and calling other techs to see what to do to fix appliances and still not done . Had to have all replace with in a 3 month period of time . They dont return calls ,dont show up when scheduled and always have to wait more ethen 3 days to get what they call replacement parts , 2 motors, 2sets of wires and 2 sets of heating coils later and it still does not work . Also left all there trash in my hall way floor to me to clean up . Ordered new refrigerator was give time and didnt. Show for 3 more hours ,was told they were on there way and still. Did not get her in a timely manner (Lowes XPO ) delivery people . Have lost all food in old fridge orders new so i could replace and sat and waited for them to arrive not. Am Diebetic could not leave home to eat and keep sugar down and and have to make trip to ear to fix health . This is what we call Lowes service in Lewes Delaware . read more
