This one is one of the better Lowe's stores. They give you no problem in returning anything. This includes things other stores will give you problems with. Poor customer service this past weekend! I was checking out at self checkout Saturday October 3rd. The machine would not go to the final page. I continued to push the correct button for it to advance. While I was doing that, it continued to yell out instructions, as week as things I purchased and costs, while scanning. So, I was trying to turn down the volume on the annoying register. This is when MEGAN without me asking came up to "help" by saying "what are you trying to do?" It would be fine if it was in a helpful tone, but it was in a very rude tone. I didn't ask for your help Megan and,definitely, did not ask for your rude attitude. I was having a very nice day before you! Of course, I brush that off and five minutes later was back to my fun day! Then, would not have actually wasted my time on Yelp if I had not had to go back today (October 4th). I was in for one container of drywall compound and out. I was standing in line, behind another couple buying several things. A dark-haired, curly-haired girl opened the register directly next to me and checked out a man with SEVERAL wood items. We have used Lowe's multiple times since moving into our house 13 years ago. Their products seem to be ok, but the customer service is TERRIBLE. My past experience is my LAST experience. We should have known when we had to make a phone call to customer service from inside the store to get someone to help us because we had waited for more than 30 minutes with NO ONE in the department. We bought carpet ($4,000) and scheduled install for a date that I was off. However, that was not communicated and the install was never scheduled. When I called to get some questions answered, I had to make multiple phone calls to even get the phone answered. Most times they would pick up and immediately hang up, but after 9 calls I got in touch with a person who told me that the misunderstand was my fault. They explained that when they told me (in the store the day I ordered the carpet) the order would take 10 days to be received and then scheduled a date after that for installation and I chose a date even later that was convenient for me that I had completely misunderstood and the date that I had suggested was actually the delivery date for the product, not installation. Then, they told me that they do not schedule the date of installation in store, but that was not what was explained to us in the store by Ana (Sirius) our salesperson. Anyway, we canceled our order and have gone to another vendor and we will no longer do business with them. We have previously had a shower done by Lowe's which was a disaster and leaked all over our floor, but we gave them a second chance assuming it was just their contractor and not their fault. But they don't care about their customers being happy at all. Customer service is a BIG deal! But Lowe's fails to recognize this. In fact, when I called to cancel my order, the manager (Jessica) couldn't care less that I was taking my business somewhere else. Ordered a dryer said it would be here 2 weeks ago after already waiting a week. Then I call back on the scheduled delivery date only for them to tell me that it won't get delivered till another 2 weeks. Ok, well I only picked that one because it would be ready sooner. I intentionally wanted a different one. So ok I let that go and now coming back because they didn't charge me for the cord. So I've waited at appliances for about 30 minutes then sent to customer service after waiting about 10 minutes only to be sent back to appliances again. So after about an hour she changes what I was told to do in the first place and just helped me in appliances. Bought Bosch Dishwasher in "scratch and dent"' last night, great deal! Went to pickup tonight and they had sold it again to someone else. Had to accept another washer (Whirlpool) double the initial "deal price", or walk. Not my idea of good customer service. The list price on the Whirlpool was half that of the Bosch. I went into Lowes in Lubbock, Tx with my grandson on Nov 13, 2021 to look at Electric stoves and built in microwaves. I picked out the ones I wanted and a nice young man helped. He said the stove can be delivered in a few days but we don't have the microwave in stock so it will be 2-3 weeks before we get it. I said ok he said we will all you before we come. My stove was delivered as promised. Three weeks went by and no call about the microwave. Since we were busy for Christmas I never called about it. After Christmas in January I went into the store with my paperwork, they sent me to manager in appliances. I explained that I received my stove but had never gotten a call about the microwave. She looked over paper and said it shows you were suppose to pick it up. I said no, I was suppose to get a call when it got in so it could be delivered. She said well I don't know what happened but we have a truck coming in in 2 days. I will give you a call. It is now Feb 12; 2022: three mos from Nov. We saw the young man that helped us at first he gets on computer and says it shows microwave has been delivered and it's closed out. So manager is busy with someone else. He said I going to call Clovi, NM (about 100 miles from here) to see if they have one. Come back in 10 mins. We got back and manager says we are trying to locate one. They finally say ok, Clovis has one but it will be 2 weeks before we can get it over here. We will give you a call. I said that's what you told me before. I know she remembered talking to me before and knew she didn't call me when the last one came in and it probably got sold to someone else. she wouldn't even look me in the eye. So if it's not here in two weeks, I will make them take it off my account. Then I have another review I want to post. read more

Do not buy windows from Lowe's! Extremely poor quality and maybe 2% noise reduction. Caulking is a mess and their solution is to frame and hide the caulking job with wooden planks. They want us to paint the wood boards and buy the materials at our cost. Absolutely worst experience. We should have kept the original windows. read more

This lowes is terrible with customer service. You have to SEARCH the entire store for anyone to help you and the person that you finally find doesn't know anything about other sections. It doesn't matter that you're spending 8 thousand dollars at their store. They do not care. The employee that has the job of bringing orders to the front of the store for you can't be bothered to be friendly at all or god forbid, helpful. She will treat you like you're an idiot. Don't bother trying to back your trailer up to the lumber department. It's right next to the entrance of the parking lot. The employees will sit there and not help guide you in. They can't bring the forklift to you. Seriously, I would rather drive all the way to Amarillo for my Lowes needs. Similar to other reviews I also had a terrible experience here. I went to purchase a washer and found one that I was interested in. I had seen the price online at best buy listed for cheaper. When I brought this to the 2 assistant mangers (Mike and Lance) they would not honor it stating the item has to be in stock at the local best buy. I brought up the price matching policy online and asked where this was stated as and they did not even attempt to locate it and just kept saying this is our policy. I honestly would have probably still purchased the washer if they were professional and educated in their position and could locate and point out the portion in the policy that referenced this. I quickly read over it and admit I could have missed it . But it was obvious they had no clue what was in the price matching policy and were just trying to get me out of there. I asked then why would they honor it if I found it cheaper on amazon since that was not a local location, again they had no answer. They said it has to be a qualifying retailer, I asked what defines "qualifying". They would not say. It is obvious they had no clue what was in the policy and were just intent on not giving me the cheaper price. I asked to speak to the manager and they stated no manager would be in until the following Monday. LOL such bs. I purchased a new stove and microwave from the Lubbock store a few weeks ago. We paid the fee for hauling off the old stove. Weeks later, it is still sitting in our kitchen. They were supposed to pick up the old stove upon delivery of the new one. They keep me on hold most of the time. They said last Sunday would possibly be a pickup. I told them that we are in church until 1:00. They came at 11:20 AM! I have been waiting hours today for the 10:00 pickup. It is 12:00 noon. I went to the store and talked to them about this to no avail. I will never buy from this store and I do not recommend it to anyone else. This Lowe's store is decent and i have shopped here for years. The rating i gave them is because their sales associates are not friendly and sometimes even rude. Weekends the store is busy and i know that can be stressful for the people who work there but i think that the staff would really benefit from a little customer service training- especially in the paint department. This is a pretty good Lowe's compared to the other ones I have visited. Their garden section is much nicer than the Home Depot's across the way. All the plants looked a lot fresher, had price stickers on or near them, and they had a bigger selction of decor. Their flower bulbs were more expensive on average. However their interior organization and the willingness of employees to be helpful leaves something to be desired. Absolutely, without a doubt - worst customer service I have ever had. I purchased almost 700.00 worth of fence panels on the April 18th online and set it up for delivery. Busted my butt getting the new poles in the ground in preparation for those panels arriving. I called Sunday evening and got some teeny bopper that acted irritated that I interrupted her nap. When I asked what the deal was, why no one has contacted me, she said Delivery manager doesn't work weekends, would be Monday. Although frustrated that I had no idea I must wait until Monday, I decided to give them a chance to redeem themselves. Monday came and went. I called Tuesday around noon and was mad that my order still had gone unnoticed. NO ONE ever acknowledged my order or delivery request. I was told by the assistant manager Clint, the delivery manager would call me Wednesday morning to set up a delivery time. I told Clint, thank you, that is all I asked for, someone to see the order and get it delivered. Today is Wednesday and around 315pm, I cancelled my order because NO ONE called. Not one person from Lowe's called to discuss or setup delivery. I may not spend tens of thousands of dollars in your stores like contractors do, but damnit, I am just as important !! And I guarantee, that Home Depot would like that 700.00 order and they will treat me like a person and not a piece of crap. I will pay extra for good customer service. We bought shade cloth... several hundred $ worth... it turned out to not be the correct size... so we returned it the next day with the receipt. This Lowe's is a flat low down sorry so called business. Although they did not have any size other than the narrow they refused to give us credit or a refund. My mother paid for and ordered a vanity for her bathroom remodel and waited a month for it to come in (this was before covid so really no excuse) she calls and they canceled her order for absolutely no reason and NEVER notified her. So she pays for it again and waits another month, it comes in right before we go on vacation. Two weeks later a guy from the remodeling company goes to pick up the vanity and it has been sent back "because it was there for too long with out being picked up" never called her to notify her she needed to come pick it up NOW or it would be sent back. Two weeks is too long?I'm sorry but that's horrible service and now she's having to wait for them to send it back again. Nothing was offered to her for them messing up on this twice. We went in today to return some things. We stood at the counter of the customer service area for AT LEAST 5 minutes before the cashier even spoke to us. She stood there with her back to us as we waited patiently, at first. Granted she was on the phone but there was another lady there as well, who never even acknowledged us. After she (Shawna) got off the phone, the two woman continued to blatenly ignore us. Shawna stayed with her back to us and picked up the phone to make another call, without any kind of word or look toward us!!! VERY irritated at this point, I asked "Is there someone else that can help us? Are we in the right spot?" Shawna rolled her eyes, stayed with her back to us and mumbled "We will be with you in a minute". The other lady was just restocking or sorting things, im not quit sure what she was doing, but giving any kind of customer service was NOT what she was doing. A manager walked by (which I didnt know thats who he was until he had walked away) and said something to her and Shawna replied "Can I go home, since im already supposed to be off?". Either you are over working your employees to where they dont give an F-word, or you're not training them to properly handle customers!! Lubbock resident. If you purchase an item off the shelf they are great and good prices on most things. However the unfortunate experiences i have had with them on special order or rain check, from now on I will just forget it and go to HD. In 2013 I purchased cabinet tops that had some pieces to match that had to be ordered in from another store. I paid for all items that night, in-stock stuff went home with me. I received a call that items were in a month later so went to pick them up. No employee could locate them. Got a call three weeks later and items were found. Upon returning a week later, No items. Customer service says items were discontinued from distributor but they would call a few stores to locate them(matching endcaps). With a busy work and life schedule I decided to just forget about it after not hearing about it for months. Upon returning to Lowes in 2014 to return a product, I mentioned the unfortunate experience to Valerie, an associate. She said if I could present a receipt she would try her hardest to locate the items. I found the receipt and she had the items shipped in and refunded my money($60). Nice to be taken care of. But a year? seriously?? Fast forward to Labor day weekend 2014. Dishwashers on sale. Purchase one Sunday but its not in stock. Truck arrives Sun PM. I return Monday(Labor Day) to pick up the dishwasher and store is BUSY. Wait in line for 35 min to be told that there were 7 appliances ahead of mine waiting to be pulled and it might be 1.5hrs. I politely declined waiting and offered to come back Tues PM to pick up item. CS rep said she would have it waiting for me at the front. Come back Tues PM to pick up but no dishwasher at front. Wait 30 min while CS girl tries to phone help in the back. Meanwhile 5 Lowes employees(2 managers) are discussing new items coming to the store at a nearby endcap- but no help offered. I waited an entire hour in which only one other patron came to the CS desk. A manager and an employee finally arrived with the item. I expressed my disgust in having to wait this long and being told by the rep, Mary, that "it would just be a minute they are coming up now" every five or so minutes as I waited. read more

I had loved Lowe's and shopped there quite frequently, now however I will be taking my business elsewhere. They do have a very nice garden section, and I really appreciated their one year guarantee until my last two visits. I had a number of salvias that didn't make it through the winter and dug them all up to return with a receipt. I got my money back no problem, but the return counter cashier asked me what on earth what was in the bag. I told her they were the dead plants. She looked at me like I was crazy and told me, "Oh... we don't need THOSE." Okay, fine. I took them back home to toss out. I had two small potato tree that didn't make it either and went to get a refund (for all of $16). The two cashiers refused to give me a refund without the plants despite my explanation of what happened the previous time. What really upsets me though is when they pretended to have a conversation with a manager on their phone. They should have at least paused long enough to allow for the supposed response. If they can't spare $16 to make things right for their employees misinforming me about their policies I've got no time to spare shopping at their store. read more

They'll say they're more thorough but they're not. You have a choice. Home Depot. Best Buy. Craigslist. Someone on the corner of Avenue Q & 26th. First off let me say, this review is not about items purchased at the store, it's based solely on customer service. My past experiences at most home improvement stores have been pretty much filled with eye rolls, exhaustive sighs and quick point in a random direction to find whatever I am looking for. Keep in mind I am not a professional contractor, nor am I a man, and I think that's where the problem lies. As a woman, I dread going into home improvement stores and asking for help. This weekend was a different story. A young man by the name of Garrett was more than happy to help me load up the lumber I purchased, and take it to my vehicle. Another young man named Sergio, also went out of his way to help me find items and checked me out at the register very quickly, and was very polite. I went back later to purchase another item for my project and noticed the same employees interacting with customers and helping them, and it made me realize that this store takes customer service very seriously. Our delivery was rescheduled six times; our items became "missing" after the 3rd scheduled delivery; when the item was finally on the truck for delivery, none of the connections for installation was included; when promised that our item will finally be shipped and installed, the guys never showed up until we again went to the store; and guess what, after the manager promised that "these two guys are professionals, they install things all the time" and sent our items to us in a haste, the hot water connection to our washer is leaking and the washer is shaking like crazy-- properly installed? I don't think so. We are now stuck with our cloths soaked in water in the washer that we cannot use. Horrible experience! What a nightmare. There's a reason why Lowe's is in trouble. Their leadership and training seem to be lacking. I've ordered several appliances recently and each time, the pricing in store is different than the online pricing. I just ordered a dishwasher and found that the in store price was less. I asked how to get credit and was told that I needed to wait until delivery of the item. Fair enough. I then asked what would happen if the price in store increased prior to delivery and I was told "oh, hopefully that doesn't happen". What??? I mean, I'm stuck debating on whether to cancel the order and go through the entire process again or just buy from somewhere else. On top of that, I was told by the same person, someone will contact me shortly regarding delivery dates/times. I never received a call, so 3 days later, I called in to check. I called at 8:30am. I was put on hold for several times and each time someone answered, it was the person who put me on hold in the first place. I was finally told, "I haven't seen the person in charge of that in the store. Maybe call back later to see if you can get in touch with them". Come on guys, get it together. So far a horrible experience. I used to shop at Lowe's all the time, but lately I've been having a better experience at the Orange big box. I'll give them one more chance to make pricing and delivery right on this order and if not, I'll do the only thing a consumer can do and it's to spend my money elsewhere. Let me start by saying the girl behind the counter was very kind and doing her best...with that said, this Lowe's is poorly managed. They had one girl working the paint counter on a day that is notoriously busy. Another customer had to go and find help. When help did arrive the young man just picked up random orders and started with newer customers. Myself and another gentle who came in at the same time ended up waiting almost an hour while people who came in after us were walking out with their orders. Neither person behind the counter seemed concerned about the oversight and when all was said and done a simple apology for the wait could have gone a long way. I understand busyness and understand waiting. I don't understand poor management of departments and lack of basic customer service skills. If I could have given no stars I would have. We ordered all new kitchen appliances from Lowe's. They were supposed to be delivered on November the 9th. Today is the 17th and we still do not have the appliances we ordered. After waiting all day the day they were supposed to be delivered no one ever showed up. We called the store the next day and they said they do not install on the weekends. First of all, the day these were supposed to be delivered and installed was a Thursday. Second, no one said a word about that to us when we ordered the appliances. After finally having to take our contract back to the store to show them when they were supposed to be delivered and arguing with them they finally realized that they messed up and said they would call us that night to schedule delivery. We waited that night and the next day and they never did call. We finally went back to the store where we were told again that they would call us to schedule a delivery. Shockingly enough they actually called this time and said it would be Monday at the latest but they could not give us a specific date or time for delivery. We will see what happens but I will say this is the first and last time we will be working with Lowe's on something like this. read more
