I was in Iron River for a ski weekend with family. I drove my "new" to me 2022 Chrysler Pacifica van up on a Friday night from the Milwaukee area (4 hours). Saturday morning when leaving the hotel to drive to the ski hill about 8:30AM, the temperature was negative 11. I had a check engine light and noticed other electrical lights on the dash and was getting no power from the engine. I drove to O'Reilly for them to check the problem. I had remembered that O'Reilly's have an ability to connect for diagnostic codes from my husband and a previous experience, with a different vehicle, about a year after this store opened! As we were discussing a possible tow company, Austin said I was in luck as a tow company employee, he knew, had entered the store. He introduced me to him, he asked if he could see the codes, and said he had an idea of what the problem could be. He said a family member has the same van and had a similar problem. Austin said I could leave my keys at the store and return for them later if the issue was fixed or we would set up a tow. Thankfully, no tow was needed. O'Reilly's employees were helpful in making this connection and being a mutually safe point of contact for an out-of-town female traveler. Had Jeff not walked in, they would have been able to give me some tow company names, and I may have had to stay an extra day or more before the problem was corrected. I felt some relief that the staff could save me the trouble of "googling" auto repair and tow companies in an area of the Upper Peninsula that is relatively miles from "big" cities. I appreciated the small-town care extended to my car issue. The employees truly deserve recognition for this customer service! This type of customer care is not as universal as it once was, yet it is the fabric of America service that I know and expect. Sean on second shift knew about the situation and was very courteous upon my return in the afternoon. I have only positive experiences with O'Reilly and would recommend them to anyone. I usually do not write reviews, but this experience warranted a positive review for this store and its staff! If O'Reilly can capture this service for all their stores, they will be far and above a lot of other retail stores operating today! Catherine K

We went to O'Reilly Auto Parts to have a free engine check. Walt, the employee who helped us, told…read moreus that the issue was most likely the sensor in the accelerator pedal. Since he is a former mechanic, he is very knowledgeable and he explained that the pedal is attached by two bolts and would be easy for us to replace ourselves. Since this was a Saturday, and all auto repair shops are closed, this was extremely helpful! We are from out of state and are going back home tomorrow. We were able to replace the pedal, the check engine light is now off, and the car drives perfectly. Walt is our hero!

A nice local guy gave us a jump and diagnosed it as a battery problem. Them Interstates don't last the 72 months like they used to... Anyway, he told us to go to Advance even though NAPA was closer. We went to NAPA contrary to his advice and the battery test failed but guess what... they can't replace it for you. It's a Sunday afternoon so you can't just go anywhere. And this uis the UP, so in a few hours from now everything will be closed. We went to Advance and sure enough, they can do it. They even have a cart packed with all the tools needed for the job. Our guy Steve took out the cart to the parking lot once we picked out the battery and got right to work. In less than 15 minutes we were back on the road with a brand new battery. They even gave us a rebate for returning the old one to recycle the core. So if you need a battery, come to Advance for good service and a on a new battery.

We were in the area traveling on a road trip when the tire pressure light came on. After inspecting…read morethe tires, we noticed a screw in one of them. Since it was almost 5:30, we knew we had limited options. We called Discount Tire and were told to head over as quickly as we could. Luckily we were only about 15 min away and they looked over the tire soon after we drove up. About 20 min later, Samuel gave us the good news that they were able to successfully patch it up, make sure all the tires had proper pressure and it would all be a complimentary service. Thank you Samuel for speedy service and fitting us in at the end of your day!

Ok so went to this location today and they have always been good!…read moreBut today they broke a stud on my truck tire but said they think it was done by someone else! But we kinda know it happened today or last time I was there, but they did offer to buy a new stud and I bought a hard to find stud cap so got the new parts! They are not certified to do the repairs so I will have to take to Toyota or do it myself and repair it but if Toyota does it it will be just under $100 for the labor! It was expected at some point as it's common so I didn't push for more maybe I should have but whatever!
