When it comes to hardware stores I like lowes over all the rest. There usually very clean and I can find my way around then better the others.. always seem to have alot of employees working and there usually very helpfull. Prices are always online with other places sometimes more sometimes less.. find the clearence item is where the best deals can be had. If at all possible, find some place else to buy. Have had absolutely the worst customer service. Went in on Saturday to get some cabinets. Was looking for some odd sizes and asked the "designer" who helped us lay out what we needed. She said call her to get them pulled for us. Tried calling on Sunday. Could not get anyone to answer the line in the department. Sent her an email. Little did we know that she was not scheduled to work for the next 4 days. I have tried calling for two days and was never able to get anyone to answer. We had a deadline so we just went in and picked them up ourselves. Loaded 2 flatbed carts by ourselves while an associate in cabinets watched us. Only when we were done did she ask if we needed help. They did not have all the items we needed. Checked out. They failed to give us the 20% discount. Had to go back the next day for a refund. Finally heard from the original "designer" and she had absolutely no idea who we were and what she had helped us with even though I put her file name in the subject line if my email. This is Wednesday. Four days later. Went in to get the 2 cabinets that they didn't have at the first store. Had to load on our own because the 3 associates were too busy to even say hello. Made sure to remind them if the discount. Except it was only for purchases over $400. But we had already spent $1200. Treated us like criminals for attempting to take advantage of their discount. Done with crappy/non-existent customer service. Buying online from now on. I can find better products and as a builder, it's unfortunate that there is nowhere better locally. read more

We usually prefer going to Home Depot because the workers there are more helpful. However, on Sunday we went to purchase an upright freezer at Lowe's and Juan at Store #2573 was amazing! Juan looked around to locate an upright freezer but didn't see any and asked if I knew the item # which I did so he hunted in the back and found the only one left! He definitely went the extra mile to find the freezer since they computer said there was one in-stock. Juan was so happy to help us you can tell he truly enjoys going to work!!! read more

I just spent 2 hours in this store picking out wood for an outdoor playset, it was going to be around 300$. When I got to the register l told the Lowe's employee that I had a military ID on file. She pulled it up using my phone number, but said the address did not match my ID, sure enough it didn't. I've used it before with no problem and I had updated it online like was requested (before April 1st). I pulled up my account online and showed her that my online account matches my ID and includes my military verification..plus I had my military ID. She had to call someone and after their conversation, I asked her if she was going to put in my veteran discount...she said she couldn't and then she told me to purchase my items, then call costumer service and figure out why it's not the same as in their system, then come back and return and repurchase with my updated info... Umm I don't think thats how that should work. All in all a huge waste of my time. Home depot is closer to my house and I've always chose to go to Lowe's... No more. I went to Lowe's to buy the blinds for home. I regret getting the blinds from them because it's been an ordeal for 7 months. Some parts were missing, wrong color and other the wrong size. We have been waiting for the right-sized wand for one of our windows for about 6 months. We have been told 4 times that the wand is already ordered and all we have to do is wait for it. After 6 months we're still waiting. My son got his blinds for his home from Home Depot and he had a better experience than mine. read more

I prefer shopping at Lowe's over the orange box store. The service is always good and I usually find everything I am looking for. However, this location is exceptional. I've had two recent buying experiences that signal to me that the management is selecting top notch staff who have strong customer service skills. We were searching for window blinds for our home and had limited success finding the kind we wanted. We finally called Lowes and had the good fortune of speaking with Lori in the blinds department. Over the phone, she collected my information, quoted me an excellent price, and scheduled our measurement appointment. Later that week Lori called to let us know that one of the brands we were considering was having a sale...which saved us even more $$s. Lori is very organized, communicative, fun and friendly. It was such a stress-free experience which we certainly appreciated. Lucy, the dept. manager, was also very helpful and has a "can-do" spirit. The installers they selected were great and the blinds were a perfect fit. Mike, in kitchen appliances, helped me select a refrigerator and made all the delivery arrangements over the phone. He set up delivery and followed up with a phone call. Even the delivery guys were professional making sure not to scratch walls or dent our new floor. This Lowe's will be our permanent "go-to" store from now on. read more

Generally when shopping it takes some time for an associate to ask if you need help, but when they do they are courteous and helpful.

Don't buy a Whirlpool washer here. Ours didn't make it even five years. We had the extra Lowes warranty but the company they hire to fix broken washers (Telco Electronics) is worthless and can't fix squat. Worthless appliance and warranty. read more

I don't live very far from Lowes so it is usually my first choice in getting supplies I need to fix up the house, yard etc. I must say every time I go I hate it more and more. They usually never have what I need and I wind up going to Home Depot(who at least has friendly employees) besides the fact that they are unfriendly, rude and act like it is just the worst thing for them to do to answer a question or wait on a customer. What is there to say! Great store for any of your home improvement needs but has completely sold out on customer service and knowledgeable employ's. In my experience the most knowledge you are going to find from any given employ's is what isle you will most likely find what you are looking for. I will give Lowe's this, they have a nicer selection of finish materials than Home Depot. read more

I usually live lowes and positive experiences, however today i went in with my mom to get some paint, we ended up buying a new refrigerator and when we went to pay for it my mom tried to use their new lowes credit card and it was declined. They looked in system and it said zero balance available and they called the credit center. They asked if identity was verified, and then said my mom was not authorized to use it as it had my dads name and they dont have secondary users, even though they are married and she can use his military discount there. One-they were never i formed of that and two-they had no idea who the hell swiped that card, it could very well have been my dad, so it was not declined because she was not authorized to use it. I seriously doubt its lowes policy to decline all charges made with a lowes credit card until they call the credit center and verify for them who is using the card. i realize it was not the cashiers fault but when i asked about it she said she didnt know she was not the credit center. That annoyed me, i already knew that but if its a store policy she should be able to answer a question or ask the credit center if you dont know. I just found the entire experience to be a load of crap, which is really disappointing as i generally have very positive experiences there. read more

We are regular customers at this store and a year ago we bought all new downstairs levolour blinds from this store. This was a 2,300 dollar purchase. Not cheap by any amount. Over the last year we have had to replace 8 of the 10 blinds multiple times. The string will malfunction and then they will not go up or down. We finally got a manager to speak with us and were told we never should have been sold these type of blinds due to our long windows and that The blind expert should have known this or the professional window measurer should have known this and told us this information. But the store will not make any adjustments for us. We are not bling experts so we went with what was recommended to us. The manager over there has made no attempt to replace these or even sit down to make this right for a permanent solution. This is not right at all. We spent our hard earned money on a product that was inferior and they sold those to us. So now I have to re do all of my down stairs blinds. This is horrible customer service and not acceptable. We are out a substantial amount of money now. I will never support or shop at this store again. So much for their customer service statements and treatment of customers. Highly disappointed with this store. This is taking advantage of your customers for sure. Just disgusted with this process. read more

No stars! I only clicked 1 because it made me to post.I just looked online for a simple air conditioner cover and the site said your Meridian store had 6 of them in stock. I drove the 3 miles from my house in traffic for 40 minutes and was told not only do they not have any, but was insulted by the person I asked for help for even asking for that. He showed me his computer screen and there was none in stock. When I said that the website said there was 6 in stock he turned his scree to me and said "Clearly there is not any". A simple "sorry our site was wrong" would have worked with me, but he belittled me and acted like I didn't know how to use a computer. I'm not sure, but that is usually bad customer service where I shop; which will never be at Lowe's again! read more

Like some others have mentioned, if you need help at this store, forget it. I went in on a Tuesday evening looking for some gutter material. I didn't see one employee as I walked up and down several aisles. Then I spotted 4 workers standing in the last aisle at the very back of the store. They were all laughing and having a good time. As I approached it seemed as if they had just called a play and broke the huddle as they flew past me not even making eye contact. I raised my arms to ask a question, but on they went, right by a woman and her son who also had a question. Too busy on their "mission" to help.
