Just like walking in a Western store or a strip club....one of these big box hardware stores is a great way to kill some time if you need to...wandered in while waiting on the ex to return the kids to me after their visit...simply strolled the aisles aimlessly checking out the plethora (a little advanced vocabulary there) of items offered....from work gloves to grills to chain saws to home appliances... I even saw something I have never seen before...a 2 drawer under the counter refrigerator!! I thought it was a dishwasher at first ....pretty damn neat!! Whatever you need or desire this place has it...even great prices on minor cosmetic damage to fridges, stoves/ovens, washer/dryers etc... It was an enjoyable hour for me!!! read more

One star would include rounding up. Less the zero stars is what is deserved. To unpack the level of incompetence found at this location would take a year to deconstruct. I used to believe incompetence was a personal failing. Lowe's has shown me it can be institutional, cultivated, and possibly taught in seminars. This is not one confused employee. This is a coordinated organization of people who have collectively agreed that knowledge is optional and follow-through is a myth told to children. Somewhere in this company's history, someone decided that thinking was a corporate expense to be eliminated, and by all evidence the initiative came in under budget and ahead of schedule. I tried both by phone and in person yesterday to get help with a washer and dryer purchase. The first phone call I was told they were busy and couldn't talk to me at the moment. I went in person to look and no one offered to help. No one was in the appliance area. Called a second time, waited on hold for almost 15 minutes. The person who answered was incompetent and no help. When I pointed that out to her she hung up on me. I would rate 0 stars if possible. I will never shop this location again. read more

I have great confidence I will get no response for this but when I was at the store I attempted to buy flea preventative for my Mom's dog and took the card to the Customer Service Desk. The woman there said she had no idea where I got it from, I explained their pet section and stood there while she asked two other people, none that moved to actually go get the item that was in a locked up area but she actually called for a fourth person to go get it. As I stood there and watched all three fall back into their personal phones the last woman she had asked said loudly under her breath that I had given her attitude and I could wait. I didn't wait. I laid the rest of my items down and left. And went home and cancelled my Lowe's credit card. They obviously don't need my or my company's money. read more

Apparently they don't cut dimensions of carpet anymore. if you need 10ft of carpet they will only sell you 12ft or 15ft

Curtis Robert, I had a home generator installed in December of 2019 and the contract said i had a ten (10) year warranty included. Now the person "Ebony Ward) that handles the installations wants to give me information for a five (5) year warranty an said she has done all she can do. Said it was the Project Specialist "Edward Pheasant" that sold me the contracts problem and he had to handle it. Ebony said she had talked with her Manager Kelvin Tarrant about this problem. This Lowe's Store is in Monroe, La. They don't call back to give updates as to what is being done on this. read more

I was glad to see that Lowe's is now carrying the Craftsman's product. I purchased a Craftsman's mower at the Monroe LA. location. Horrible customer service. Not one associate was willing to help. When I did find an associate to help, he was not knowledgeable about the product. He did not seem willing to find someone who was. I had to take a picture of the mower to take to the checkout so the cashier could ring up the sale because no information could be found on the mower itself. At that point, no manual could be found for the mower. The manual had to be printed off the internet. Employees need to be trained about the products they have for sale. I drove almost 2 hours from Shreveport for tile that the Lowe's app said was in stock. I get here and 80% of the inventory that the Lowe's app says is here is miraculously gone. Unacceptable. Bought a refrigerator in March, two weeks for delivery and the unit was damaged. They took it back and a week later, another unit was delivered and it was damaged. Called and the Appliance manager says keep it until we can get you another unit. A week later they arrive with a replacement door, it was damaged worse than the door already on the fridge. Now, two months later, still have a damaged fridge. And Lowes has forgotten about us. Why would they even leave the warehouse with a damaged unit or part knowing the customer is going to reject it? If they are inspecting things BEFORE they leave the warehouse, they would show up with damaged good and have the customer reject it. I guess they are trying to wear me down and accept a $3300 damaged fridge as an acceptable appliance.. Today 12 Phone calls to the store and the automated system routes me to "someone" only to be cut off after so many rings... POOR POOR POOR Customer Service. read more

We wanted to run into Lowe's to check out some light fixtures. I wasn't planning on buying anything tonight, but I found a fixture that I liked. I pulled it from the shelf and made my way up front. Noticing that there was a line of 8 or 9 people at the only check-out lane that was open, I went to the self-checkout lanes. All of them were closed. The only other person checking people out was at the returns counter, and she was helping someone with a lot of plants. I waited in line for 10 minutes, but nobody came up front. No other employees were anywhere around. One person at the returns counter, and one lane checking people out. The line grew to around 20 people, all with carts full of stuff. I finally gave up. Leaving, I was reminded why I prefer to buy everything online. No tax, free shipping, and I don't have to deal with store managers who are inept. Because I do not blame the workers... Not having enough employees on the floor on a Saturday? I blame the manager. read more

We bought an electric chain saw from there a little more than 30 days ago. The chain came off. My husband went in and asked for help to put it back on. The 2 women at "customer service" literally told him "I don't know what the hell to do" and the guy that he talked to after examining the piece that was broken tells him he's not authorized to touch it. My husband thought about buying another one. .. But the exact same model TRIPLED in price! So after looking around he found what he needed to fix it and fixed it himself in under 30 seconds in the parking lot. They basically told him that since it was more than 30 days they couldn't do anything but send a tech to our house. .. No returns after 30 days. No help from their staff WHAT SO EVER! It's as if they're just there taking up space becuz they either didn't know what to do or just didn't do anything. #frustrating #wasteofenergy read more

We just had the carpet replaced for the entire upstairs -- four rooms, including closets and a hallway. Lowe's price was reasonable, and Otis (a Lowe's installer) and another worker did the work professionally and speedily. For an extra fee (extremely well worth it) they did all the moving of furniture and "stuff", and replaced everything quite well. I am very impressed with Lowe's carpet service! read more

Lowes in Monroe, Louisiana, is a fine store. This morning I had a very pleasant shopping experience. First, I saw a drill bit set on clearance but couldn't find the price. Employee Ebony was busy restocking but she took the item up front and got the price information. She was friendly and helpful. Next, I needed magnets and employee Markle came to my assistance. The magnets were on an aisle closed for restocking but he opened it up for me. He was friendly and helpful. Then I couldn't find pop rivets put S. J. came to my rescue. He took me to the pop rivets and made sure that they what I was looking for. Again he was friendly and helpful, At check out employee Amber greeted me in a friendly manner. She finished scanning the items and the receipt was printing when I remembered that I had forgotten to use my military discount. I am a Vietnam veteran. She told me not to worry and went through the red tape needed to cancel my order and reenter in order to get the discount. As I left she said, with a big smile "Thank you for your service". Paid to have a bathroom install. The subcontractor is PSI Commercial Contracting. They are poor communicators. Do not respond to email and phone calls; however, when soliciting my business they were adamant about calling and responding to emails. Once I signed the ​contract and paid in full communication stopped. On the day the day they were scheduled to perform the install they completely no-called and no-showed. I requested a refund which was granted. I found a contractor that performed the work for less than half of what Lowe's charged in addition I was given a full year warranty. I would not recommend this company for a residential install. read more

I want to say that the lady who helped me via the 800 number was outstanding as was the plumber they sent to install our water heater and dishwasher , however, my mother had called the local store first and they actually laughed at her when she asked about them having an installer and actually asked her was she stupid or something. I had to pay 259$ to have a 399$ water heater installed and 159$ to have a 259$ dishwasher installed . That is beyond ridiculous . Even the plumber seemed surprised when I told him what they were charging me as if to say he wasn't getting paid that .every time I think about it I get more angry it's absolutely ridiculous to have to pay half of what you pay for an item to have someone install it for you from that place. If you are going to sell them you should install them I could understand $50 each but to pay that amount is highway robbery. Also I had to call and ask someone 3 times to get my receipts from this sale the original email that was to be sent fro the local store to an email never made it nor did the next one or the one I. The mail and finally I had to get a manager to get one in an email and some weird pro ted copy of a receipt mailed . I won't be shopping with Lowes again because of the amount I was charged for installation so on top of the $600 plus for appliances I paid another $500+ for installation after all said and done what should have been 6-700$ turned into 1100-1200$. I went in to Lowes last Friday, in the afternoon, and bought 5 curtains but I needed 8 and since they were on discontinue list they transferred me 3 in from the store in S'port. Well, it's been a week now and still I haven't rec'd the 3 from Shreveport. Wow, I could have driven over there and picked up if I had known it was going to take a week to get something from another store that is ONLY an hour and a half away. I went there Tuesday afternoon to check b/c I hadn't rec'd a call saying they were there and I stood around for an hour and a half waiting for someone to let me know something. I had to pay for these before they would get them shipped in from another store. Why?? Doesn't look like anyone from the Monroe store knows what's going on cause I have talked to 4 different people and no one knows anything. Communication is lacking in that store and so is training. Why in the world would anyone shop at a store that doesn't know anything about anything, beats me. If I ever receive these, probably will be my last time in there. I would recommend you go to Home Depot, at least you can find someone there to help you, even if they have to find someone to help them. Very disappointed read more
