Ordered a retractable screen door with Ron in September. It is now December 30th and it is still not installed. BUT THEY MADE SURE THE COLLECTED MY MONEY WHEN I ORDERED IT. Ron is worthless. Drops the ball and blames everyone but himself. He keeps giving me inaccurate information. The Lowes installation team gives you the run around and blames the store. Store associate very professional and helpful. The delivery men however were extremely disappointing. They spoke NO English. They were not able to use the translation on the iPhone either. Communication is very important and lack of it caused a big problem concerning my delivery. Maybe Lowes should consider paying more for the contractors that deliver the product? Today I went to get some lawn and garden supplies and proceeded to buy the Kobalt Wheelbarrow that was listed and advertised at $89.98. During checkout the cashier stated that it's was actually marked down to $71.98. After checking out the manager came to unlock it so that we could load it up and stated that the price was marked wrong and that it should have been sold at $129.00. I asked why it was falsely advertised and the manager stated that it wasn't and the sign was next to the two-wheel wheel barrow because the one-wheel wheel barrows had run out. After questioning the false advertising, the cashier stated they couldn't do anything about it and I would have to pay the difference. Definitely not happy about the whole situation...especially after all of this, and them stating they were not false advertising, they moved the sign. We ended up not purchasing a wheel barrow at all from Lowe's and we would have put everything else back if we hadn't already paid for it and planned to use it. Went in to have a consult with Anna and Valerie and built my dream kitchen, everything has gone accordingly to plan so far. Demo started Monday should have my new kitchen done in 2 weeks or so. Today's visit was horrible... It was not busy but staff were rude and not very much help. Man working in hardware section is a smart ass and rude. Only 1 check out open even with long line while other employees don't help and look disinterested. I don't know what is going on with lowes but we have noticed it going downhill. This happened to my parents. Many missed opportunities to get together as a family in Florida due to so much negligence by Lowe's: On November 3, 2017, we paid Lowe's North Port, Fl, $18,527.06 to install 13 Impact Resistant windows made by Eastern Architectural Systems, 3 hurricane fabric protective shutters, 3 entry doors and one set of sliding glass doors. Lead-time to obtain material was stated to be 12 weeks. In February 2018, Ronnie of Home Install Services (Lowe's Installer) notified us that windows and doors would be delivered to our house on February 19, 2018 and installation would be completed on February 21, 2018. On February 22 and 23, 2018, Home Install Services notified Lowe's that the following had to be re-ordered: bathroom window (wrong glass), kitchen window (cosmetic issue), sliding glass doors (latches on wrong side and garage entry door (damaged 8 dents). By end of day February 23, 2018, 12 windows were installed including the one with cosmetic damage, which would be replaced when new window arrived. Two of three entry doors were installed and the sliding glass doors were installed backwards (non operable) to fill the gap left from the original doors. No promise to install the hurricane fabric was made. In summary, it took Lowe's 222 days to install 2 windows, one set of sliding glass doors, one garage entry door and three hurricane fabric panels. On several occasions during this period I requested a refund from Lowe's for failure to perform work within a reasonable period of time. Lowe's response was to wait until the job was completed. The job was finally completed on October 3, 2018 and Lowe's North Port Store Manager told me he could only refund $1000 because I failed to provide enough evidence as to the financial impact to me. I told him this was a slap in my face and refused his 5.39% refund offer. My goal is to share our Lowe's story with others so they do not have to experience the stress and frustration that my wife and I have experienced. read more

Purchased a $300 item online and paid through PayPal. Picked item up about an hour later. Brought it home, opened the box (sealed properly covered with plastic strapping) and found a major component of the item was missing. Went back to the store to exchange the product. Was told they would have to fully return the product before they could exchange it. (WTF?) This should have been a simple exchange for an inoperable item. Of course, since the payment made was in a "pending state", as most credit card transactions are initially, it would now mean I would have to lay out another $300 plus tax to receive a working product from the store. (Is this a joke? What kind of customer service program is this???) The manager (Debbie) was no help. Just spouted the " this is our policy ( not stated anywhere on my paperwork, quite the contrary) and they have nothing to do with Paypal ( apparently nor Visa, MasterCard, Amex or any other major credit card that would take 3 days or so to clear the initial transaction, as well as the refunded transaction). Since the store management was not interested in resolving the problem, I decided not to drop another $300 at this Lowe's,the and walked out with my credit slip (still pending). I also them know I WILL NEVER Do Business with Lowe's ever again. Went to Ace and they were incredibly helpful and pleasant. Ace now has a customer for life. Waited 20 minutes at the paint counter for help after numerous calls for help. This is the worst store of any kind I have ever shopped. What a joke this store is. Ordered a $1,000 refrigerator a month ago and set up delivery for today 10/28. First, no call the night before to establish s delivery window. Second, I had to call for a delivery time. I wad told it would be between 1:00 and 3:00 PM. At 3:45 I called to see where the delivery truck was. Informed it would be between 4:00 and 6:00 PM. I called the store. The manager tells me to call the delivery company for a gift certificate. What a jerk! My time is worth s lot more than $25. Stick it! At 6:00 PM truck shows up. At 6:45 the delivery guy tells me there is a manufacturer defect on the Whirlpool refrigerator so the doors do not line up. I called Lowes. Too bad so sad. They'll send someone out tomorrow to look at it. But don't hold them to the time they said someone would arrive. Perhaps the worst customer service ever on a major appliance. Delivery guys did not speak English. I was unable to communicate with them. This is the last time I deal with Lowes. read more

This store has a large supply of hardware and building supplies. The quality of the items is very good. You may find cheaper, but you usually get what you pay for. They also have plant and outdoor rocks fencing. I've gotten connectors for my hot tub, pool pump, kitchen drawer hardware. Just about anything you need, they have it. That being said, you are best off to look for your item online, the web site will tell you exactly what isle the item is in, or should be in. It's not perfect, but that's how I do it. In the store it is harder to find help to find your item, because they don't staff a ton of people. But those that are there, are very helpful. I've only ever met 1 that wasn't helpful after going to this store for 7 years. I'm glad to have this Lowes store near my home. read more

Asked for 7/8" hose to hook up my dishwasher to an air gap. Personal said it isn't required unless you have a mobile home. I said I would like to put one on anyway because of sewer gas and rotten food smells when I open the dishwasher. He claimed I was wrong and that my dishwasher was making the smell. He said they didn't have 7/8" hose. I asked why because they sell air gaps. He said they didn't and I was going to show him the air gap they sell for gods sake he didn't know that they sold them and isn't believing me when I said I saw it in my last visit.aisle33 bay 16 but he just walked away! Also paint department didn't know that they carried plaster in there department. He was courteous enough to look it up 1!gallon pails only and twenty bucks! He said " that's not open now", and kept walking. Then another man said " those registers closed", and he kept walking. As he was 5 feet away he said " they can help you in customer service". I've been here for over an hour trying to exchange my Dyson vacuum with the extended 2 year warranty. Brian at customer service was short with us. He refused to talk to the customer service warranty line we called. He didn't want to get the store manager because she was in a meeting on a Sunday afternoon . The customer service warranty line has now called the stores manager to tell them we are authorized for an even exchange. What a waste of my Sunday. Why pay extra money for it to not be honored. Wife and I went yesterday to purchase a washer and dryer. After "interrupting" a group of employees who promptly scattered, the one that remained to "assist" was not at all helpful and borderline rude. Of the washer and dryer we selected only the washer was in stock and he told us the dryer would take 8 to 10 days to order. We don't have that long. Asked if another store locally had it and was told yes, they had in stock at both Venice and Port Charlotte. When we asked about transferring it in we were told rather curtly "I don't know. You'll have to talk to customer service." At customer service they confirmed that they were in stock at either of those stores but would take 3-4 days to transfer. So we left and went to the Port Charlotte store to maybe rent a truck and pick up. Glad we did. The service difference was night and day. Not only were they very helpful, but even offered to deliver next day (even on a Sunday) at no additional charge!!! read more

I am not one to have a favorite store. So this is my first. I bought ame in North Port that needed a redo. Ken in the door department coached me through framing a door on my lanai. A woman in the appliance department checked and matched competitors prices on our kitchen appliances. Chris in the window blind dept. Was a BIG help when selecting window treatments. Phil helped me choose light fixtures. And Jim helped me through several plumbing projects. All their help enabled me to avoid hiring contractors thus saving alot of money. I have been very happy with the courteous service I have received from numerous unamed cashiers. Now that my major projects are done I go there just to shop because everyone is so nice. This Lowe's sold an 85yr old widow a Bosch washer and dryer combo several yrs ago. The most expensive, largest capacity one they had. The dryer is not working and we are not sure the washer is either. We were trying to help her find who services them and came into your appliance to see if they could give us some insight.This Lowe's is lucky there not a 1/2 star review because of the worst employee for lack of customer service and the worst bad attitude and blatant disrespect I've encountered,LARRY!! we got a washer on april 15 2017 and was going to send it back before the 30 days were up because it did not work good, but we went past that date by 30 days, i called lowe's manager and told him we were not happy with the hot point washer and would like to change it out and went passed the 30 days, no problem he said, we orderd a whirlpool for 100 bucks more, we just ran it like night and day, so we are very happy with the whole return thing, thanks lowe's read more
