I had 2 storm doors installed by Lowe's on 5/11. The installation was done poorly with the doors installed outside the door frame and a metal plate on our stone step that trips us when we walk out the door. Despite numerous phone calls to the installation department to have this rectified, we have received many promises that the installer would return but we have not even received a return phone call. read more

Between The Home Depot and Lowes, we tend to shop at Lowes as my wife gets a discount here because of working for the government. We've both plants, furniture, and even big appliances like our fridge, stove, and dishwasher. Customer service has always been wonderful and for the items that we've had delivered and installed, I can't really complain. We've always had pretty good luck with the plants and flowers that we've bought here over the years. Ordered a Property Brothers vanity with Carerra Marble from Lowes. The marble top did not look like Carerra marble, was mottled white and gray instead of white with threads of gray. Brought this to Lowes attention but they refused to help though they recognized that what we received was not what was advertised or is on their floor. The day of Delivery Got a phone call at 1:00 pm that they were at my door and wanted to know if I wanted the frig. Needless to say without being there to inspect it the answer was no. I had them return the frig. I decided to give Lowes a second chance. This time was told Saturday between 8Am an noon. Ok sounds good, Saturday came and frig was delayed till 8PM, but was still ok. The 2 Teenage delivery kids started to unload the frig and unbox it in the street Why??. One of them opened the frig and the glass shelving came out because the frig was tilted to one side street. This is not the first time I've written about Lowe's...Ugh! I had a gift certificate which is why I bought anything there... Home Depot is my place to go. I bought a Bissell Crosswave...not worth the money... It leaked, so after 2 weeks I returned it. They could not find the purchase on my Mastercard. After I called the bank and confirmed the purchase, they would not speak with my bank. When I asked to speak with a manager, it took 20 mins for a woman to come over to me to tell me she was a manager. She continued to be of no help, they could not reach anyone at the corporate level, and after nearly two agonizing hours, I decided to leave the Crosswave at the store and dispute the purchase with Mastercard. When I asked if they could give me a slip confirming that I had left the item, again they told me that they couldn't do that... They can't do anything... I took a picture of the Crosswave in the cart at the customer service desk and told them I was leaving at which time they asked me 'don't you want to wait for the manager?" I thought the woman who took her time to come over was the manager...one of the women who couldn't do anything! All this time I wasn't speaking with the manager. LIARS!!! Talk about being angry? I have had the same problem a number of times... the Freakin' manager simply doesn't want to get involved....He let's problems escalate till they explode and I must admit I exploded! Customer care is obviously not a huge focus at the Fultondale, Alabama location. I placed an online order on 11/12/22, which included paying for the assembly of an electric fireplace. I spent almost $600 in total cost. I received a call from this location on 11/15, informing me they would not be delivering as expected because the face plate was bent. However, delivery would take place on 11/18, according to emails & text order updates. Well, same female called me on 11/18, to say it would not be delivered as expected because the company responsible for the assembly didn't have anyone to put it together but to expect deliver on 11/23 per the email & text update. Received a call from Morris who told me they could not deliver because there was never an order placed by Lowe's to the 3rd party to do the assembly. He offered to deliver my order unassembled. I was upset due to the lack of concern & voiced those concerns thoroughly to Morris who said there was nothing more he could do but he would email the assembly company, his floor manager & would copy me. Well, that was yet another lie because I never received an email as promised. My assembled order was finally delivered on Sunday, 11/27 with notice given via text the night before. Now imagine a salesperson -from the Paterson Lowe's-; kind, courteous, follows up, is polite about spending hours with you during the selection and approval process. Comes in the evenings making it oh so easy for you to sign on the dotted line. Promising - in writing- a delivery and installation date 2 weeks after the contract is signed. Now fast-forward 6 months into the future and note the following: 1. Windows that were either installed incorrectly or are missing pieces 2. Screens that are ripped and/or bent 3. A front door which -after much ado- was returned but never properly refunded 4. A lifetime guarantee which clearly nobody takes seriously and exists in promise only 5. A company which -even after trying to resolve issues with much patience and follow-up on the client's side - doesn't care. Unfortunately we live in a world where a company who has been lacking basic communication skills can survive, where a customer's complaints and attempts at securing what the signed contract called for- a promise to the client- can not only be not kept but the customer also penalized for attempting to resolve the issue. The buffoonery! I was looking for a washing machine and I went to Lowe's in Tyler Texas I live in Jacksonville Texas. They didn't have the washing machine I can afford or like in Tyler but they looked up which one would have one. There was one in lindale Texas so I've now drove to lindale texas. They have a washing machine and I like it. Then they say they have one on clearance. I said I'll take it. they said we'll give you a 5-year warranty on this Maytag. I said so this unit is scratched? they said yes it's scratched. it works correct? Yes it works. Can we test it? No, but we know it works. I say So if I get home and it doesn't work we're going to have a problem. I've had a flood at my house and I've had clothes on the ground about 10 days soaking wet trying to get this washing machine. I'm willing to take it myself instead of y'all having to deliver it because I need it now. That saves Lowe's $100. They then gave me $100 off for signing up for the credit card. I got home the machine doesn't work. All it does is sensing. I call them as soon as possible. I tell them I need a washing machine today. They can't do that they say. I tell them All you have to do is get delivery service to bring the washing machine equivalent to that one out here. They laugh and say oh you're only going to get your money back, and you got to bring it in. I said I could not bring it back I can't load it on the truck. And I don't have fuel to come over there and I don't have time. Well they're willing to come get it and get my money back but you're just out of luck from there. I said exchange the washer for the equivalent washer and size and style I don't care about the color and bring it out here and come pick up that one. We can't bring the washing machine out there for 7 to 10 days. I informed them again that I've been needing this washing machine for 10 days already and I've had a flood and I got no clothes to wear and my house is being destroyed with wet clothes sitting everywhere, and I need them to fix their washing machine. It is not my fault that you sold a product that doesn't work. It is not my fault that this one's going to cost less than another one. replace it. I'm not paying the difference. My time is valuable my fuel is valuable. If you want to get my money back they need to give me $300 an hour which is what I'm worth and we're going to have about 10 hours dealing with this. I've made phone call upon phone call to the managers up there at store to the corporate office and all they do is send me to some call person that's going to take a report. So now I am onto writing a review on every site I can find until they fix this issue. Got a five year warranty for what? It didn't work 1 minute! Then the manager told me I need to call the Lowe's close to me and see if they can deliver a washing machine sooner. Why do I need to call to do your job? I purchased washing machine at your location I drove it home saving Lowe's from having to deliver it, I plugged it in and it doesn't work. I need Lowes to fix this issue right now. Get on the phone and call the delivery service and tell them we need to pick up the machine and bring another machine out there. Now I'm in a situation where I have to wait 3-10 business days to get my money back for something I purchased. I purchased a new top freezer Frigidaire refrigerator ($750 plus $150 5 year protection plan) from the LOWE'S TAMPA NORTH, FL store on 12/31/2022 with a delivery date of 1/1/2023. The refrigerator was being purchased because our main refrigerator was having issues and while it was being repaired we decided to buy a new refrigerator as a back up. The refrigerator was delivered and installed by Lowe's delivery personnel on 1/1/2023 as promised. The refrigerator was not cooling a day later so we started to get worried but waited one more day to ensure that it was simply not slow to cool. It was a brand new refrigerator! That night after the refrigerator was still not cooling we tried calling Lowe's and Frigidaire but both customer service departments were closed so we called them the next day. We were told we could not return the refrigerator and that it had to go through Frigidaire customer support so that we can schedule service from them. We went to the store to speak to a customer service manager about why we could not return a brand new refrigerator that never worked straight out of the box. We were informed that nothing could be done because their new policy is that no returns are allowed after 48 hours unless you purchase the goods with their Lowe's credit card (which we did not). It should not matter how we paid for the appliance to honor a return. Now Frigidaire has scheduled a repair service call for a brand new refrigerator that never worked, for a week after the call was made to them and we are unable to return the unit unless we sue them in small claims court. Both Lowe's and Frigidaire are terrible companies and I would caution anyone that is looking to purchase anything from them as you may receive the same treatment we did. I personally will never purchase or set foot on a Lowe's store ever again and never buy a Frigidaire product again. read more

We have been attempting some DYI projects around the house and LOWES is conveniently close and the prices are reasonable. We recently worked on a kitchen backsplash. We are not really "handy" people so this was quite the project for us. We must have made at least 15 trips to Lowes to plan, order, purchase, pick-up products, and ask questions. Yes, it was crazy but we finally finished and it looks wonderful! We can't believe we did that! I have to give Dan credit...he works in the tiling department. We went to his helpful tiling class (offered on Saturdays, check online) and then we got our idea together. Dan helped us order our pieces and helped us on the tough spots (like the corners and around the electrical areas). He was so patient with us and took the time to explain things step by step. I really appreciated his help and he is the gold star for customer service. Even the small things (like calling us as soon as our tile came in) do not go un-noticed. Like I said, we didn't think we could do it, but with great people at Lowes, it's possible to do small projects yourself! Thanks Dan! read more

The carpet installation team is the worst experience we ever had. This is the second time that we are trying this and it is worse then the first time. They show up with the wrong equipment to install the carpet. When you call the installation company the lady does nothing to help you and says that they cant afford to use the correct equipment to stretch the carpet and so they arrive without the correct equipment to stretch the carpet and instead they want to use a Behr Claw to poke holes in my carpet and padding to stretch it. That is damaging the hardwood floors below and shredding the padding. I will never use Lowes again for carpet. read more

Called Samsung and they referred to this service that changed the schedule several times and when I complained the manager was supposed to call me; still waiting after 3 weeks! Do not let Lowe's install your fencing , I had a wood fence installed and it has been such a nightmare!!! They left a huge mess, the stone and gravel that was dug out of the ground { my yard did not have dirt} 3feetx4feet piles of stones where left in front of every post, the estimate to remove it was $500. Then the installers after looking at my survey put the fence one foot into my neighbors yard. I was screamed at and threatened by my neighbor to move the fence. After many calls and frustration the survey company wrote out a statement that the telephone pole was not on my property, the installers argued that they did not misplace the fence and that when my neighbor was harassing me he must have been drunk. Lowe's agreed the fence has to be moved and they told me 2 months ago it would be done, that they contacted the installers and they would be calling me. I have called both Lowe's and the installers many many times over the summer and no return calls!!!! I have not been able to enjoy my yard because the man that lives there is out everyday and I'm scared he will scream at me again . Horrible horrible experience! Just visited Lowes, Oaks PA to buy new LG washer and Dryer set. No one in the appliance department so chased down 3 different Lowes employees for help from other departments over a very frustrating 30 minute wait. I can hear the overhead pages for someone to go to appliances but nothing for another 15 minutes. Went to front of store to get a manager (Mark). He apologized saying short staffed but could not help us. He seemed indifferent to their lack of responsive customer service. After 40+ minutes of no help we left Lowes to buy elsewhere. It makes no sense why a retailer has so many appliances to look at but no one to help. Took my business to local appliance store and dropped $1,800 on new washer dryer set. The worst appliance store of all time. They used to be pretty great, but not anymore. I tried to order a dishwasher for my mom's birthday, who's too old to get one herself. Lowes in the Greenville/Washington area had other ideas, and refused to deliver it no matter how hard I tired to work with them. One employee, Nick Cotinola, was particularly lacking in professionalism. I suspect this company does not have what it takes to survive the pandemic and the current economic atmosphere.
