We've been to this Lowe's a few times definitely prefer the Home Depot across the street. It's hard to find things. Associates aren't usually very helpful. They have a very large selections of lighting and lamps, but not a big selection of vanities and sinks. Everything is special order. They don't keep much in warehouse and it can take more than seven days to get what you're looking for. read more

Was in Saturday and the checkout was awful. One manned checkout but the register was not working. The cashier just stood there confused. Over at the self checkout, it was swamped.....people waiting and complaining. Some customers just left. No help from the useless employee with the walkie-talkie at the self checkout. Who runs this place? I thought a store wanted to take your money? No management. No help. No wonder sales are down. I suggest you avoid this Lowes and just use another store like the one in Deland. It's got low stars but I have never had one issue here. I always get help when needed and a few times got discounts I didn't know about. I purchased a table saw in a flea market that didn't work brought it in and the hardware guys helped me out and got it to run by doing what they told me. Very confused by the service here. I came on a Sunday mid day when it's typically the busiest. A lot of people do home improvements on weekends which make this one of the busiest days to come. There were no regular registers open only the self checkout, and one was down so they all weren't even open. Because of this there was a very long line to checkout. I saw a lot of workers just walking around, maybe they aren't qualified to work a register but it was a bad look. I hate giving one star for an establishment that is already hurting really bad on their reviews but this should be a wake up call for the managers/owner, somethings got to change. read more

On 27 June 2023 I purchased a storm door from Lowe's and also paid to have it installed. Individuals from Lowe's had previously came out and measured my existing door and frame to insure they had correct measurements. On 26 July Lowe's installers came out to install the new door and after looking at my existing door stated they had ordered the wrong size door and would have to take the new door back and order the correct size. I checked with Lowe's window and door department and they assured me they would expedite the ordering of the new door. After 2 weeks I stopped by the store to check on the status of the door. I found out they have not even ordered it yet. So much for expediting. Said they would contact me when the door came in and they did. Said I would be contacted in regards to a new installation date. After not hearing anything for a couple of weeks I talked with a representative from Lowe's who made some inquires and formed me they had me scheduled for installation on 20 September. Again I had to instigate getting this info. Well today is 20 September and the installers did show. However he formed me that he could not install the door due to problems with the frame. Seems this should have been discovered when they did the measurements. I will never use this company for any type of services again. Fortunately they are refunding me the cost of the door I purchased. read more

We had the worst experience ever at Lowe's. We are in the process of re-painting our house, so we decided to go there and try out their paint vs the behr paint from Home Depot that we have generally used in the past. Long story short, no service or even a hello from anyone the entire time we were in the store until we self checked ourselves out, and the person on the front end said thanks as we left. The girl in paint legitimately didn't say a word to us. When we brought our paint to the counter to be mixed the color that we picked out, she just stood there, looked at us, and said nothing. I turned to my wife and asked if she thought we were being pranked or something. My wife then reminded me that we had tried to get help from her awhile back in the kitchen and appliances area, and she acted the same way. What is going on over there??? Do you folks not have any training or accountability for horrible service practices in place??? We walked down the front of the store, no one we passed said hello, we made it down to the end of the hardware aisle to get mailbox numbers, past another associate, no hellos, down the middle aisle to paint, no hellos, or can I help you from the associates talking to each other, then the amazing service at the paint counter. I think it's time to wake up and start raising the bar on customer service. I have a hard time imagining going back when Home Depot is a 1/4 mile away. At least they say hello, and try to help. I went into Lowe's last week to purchase three circuit breakers. The associate in electrical was busy with another customer who obviously knew nothing about electric. I told the employee, that after he finished with his customer, I needed his assistance. I waited patiently nearby, for about 15 minutes until he finished with him. The associate then took off in the other direction. After I chased him down, he proceeded to show me the wrong breakers. He did not know what a 2-pole breaker was. He then told me they were out of them (Very common breakers) I went on Lowe's web site to check for availability, and they said Lowe's Orange City had 13 of one, 10 of another, and 5 of the last one. I tried to call the MOD several times, but they either didn't answer (after about 100 rings) of hung up on me. I guess they don't need my business. Hank Kline DeBary read more

We went to buy a Weber Grill that was on sale at $499.00. The website was showing 4 at the store but were not on the floor. My husband waited at the customer service line to ask for it and they called someone to helped us. Nobody came so he went back to have them call someone... again we waited. A third time he went and this time asked for the manager on duty Mike Yum, but he never showed up. We wasted more than an hour on this an no grill. read more

Lowe's is always providing great customer service. Whether I have to go in, pick up an order, have something delivered or do curbside. I had some hiccups on an item I had delivered recently and Chris (Christian) a manager there helped me every step of the way. From start to finish. He went above and beyond to help me and I am forever thankful. I appreciate the time and patience he gave me as I know he was very busy. Thank you for having such great leaders on the front line, handling situations professionally. Christian is an amazing manager and leader. Definitely awesome at his job! read more

I purchased a 5 year warranty on a major appliance and was told at the time of that purchase that I would receive 30% of that amount returned to me if I had no warranty claim during the 5 years. To claim my refund after the 5 years, I called the 800 number as instructed and gave them the information from my receipt. Twice. The first time I was on hold for 1.5 hours and the second time 1 hour. Both times I was promised an emailed Lowe's gift card and nothing happened after waiting for weeks. I finally returned to the store of my purchase and after customer service tried the same 800 number with no response, I was given a store refund. Nice, but it took over 3 hours of my life to get a $35 refund that they should have known I was due because there was no warranty claim on my purchase. read more

Bought $2500 in appliances. Installation was late by an hour and 15 minutes (TIP: If you can't make your appointment people, don't make it) Tried buying a pressure washer for nearly a month $249 on sale (No raincheck available of course) (Tip:Take the money people), it went back up to regular price $299 (still out). When it was finally back in stock they raised the price to $349. The orange city store frequently has the most unhelpful people, and poor inventory management (out of stock), so I end up going to Home Depot (a block away) to find what I need. They should really look at the total dollars people will spend over their lifetime and when they see that number, they may do more to improve their service. read more

Five stars for Pete, the five star employee who went out of his way to help us! We were looking for a shower grab bar and asked him which aisle. Instead of simply telling us, he walked us over AND helped us pick the right one for our needs. Not only that, he continued on to explain installation and stayed with us as we picked out the necessary items to install. Why so impressed with his customer service? I was trying to return a blower that I purchased the first week of April. The policy is 30 days for power equipment but has been revised to 60 days since the covid-19 issue. The so-called "managers" at the Orange City Lowe's either don't read emails or are ignoring this updated policy. I spoke to a "manager" and she refused to honor the return. I asked to speak to another manager and he did the same. They were very belligerent and argumentative. I called Lowe's and they confirmed the policy change. I went to the Deltona Lowe's and they returned my product in literally two minutes. I do a lot of home repair and projects at my house and I spend a lot of money at both Lowe's and Home Depot. I can tell you right now that I will never spend another dime at the Orange City Lowe's in Orange City Florida. The Lowe's in Deltona will get all of my business from now on. read more

I have been renovating a house and have bought many things from Lowe's - from glass shower doors, entire kitchens, glass doors and windows. I have liked that I can always get help and there is someone willing to help me with whatever issues I have. I do find that there is still a lot of work on my part and that salespeople are still always salespeople and that many items are not represented as they actually arrive. I believe that the worst experience I have had is with windows where the salesperson did not tell me that the windows would be screwed into my marble windowsills and then covered with panels that look terrible. It was a disappointing experience but you can't take the windows out and it just verified that even when dealing with large companies you can still have poor outcomes read more

Terrible customer service in Isle was blocked off and I asked if it was going to be blocked off for the rest of the day the guy said it's blocked off now to be blocked off for a few minutes go ask them and then promptly got back on his cell phone you can't find anyone to help you lift anything you can't find anyone to cut boards or give you directions worst place I've ever been to. My 72 year old mother couldn't get help from anyone and they were all standing around three of them on their cell phones just disgusting. read more

Lowe's claims to honor military veterans by offering a 10% discount, but they are quite rude in their handling of requests for the discount. I was at the store and asked about the discount, which was freely given when I showed the cashier my VA card at another store. At this store I was sent to the customer service desk to register. The customer service agent was very rude. She wanted to know my discharge date, which I couldn't quite remember at the moment because it was back in the 1970's. She said, "look, I could make you go home and get your DD214..." Really? I left the store without making my purchase because I live more than 80 miles from this store. I had a valid VA identification card, which only a military veteran can have. Anyway, Home Depot is much easier to deal with. Tell the cashier, show them ID, and you get your discount. They are much more welcoming to veterans. read more

If I could give a zero I would, I purchased 13 items on 9/21/19 at Lowes in Deltona for pick up later. On 9/28/19 I called the store to change to delivery. The person informed me that they would need to refund the order then bill it again. Upon refunding the order I noticed it was not the full amount of the purchase. I told the person on the phone this and she hung up on me. I called back and spoke with a manager who said I-have to wait for another manager to view the video on a later date. I called customer service who took an incident report. I was going to reorder the items to be delivered but they acted like selling me the items at the same price I had originally purchased them was a favor to me! I purchased energy efficient windows from lowes. Worst idea ever ! I bought and paid from them in July 16. The windows were put in about a month later, when they were delivered, the heavy truck cracked my driveway. When the windows were put in one of them were broken and it took about 4 months for them to fix it. I have 3 windows currently that don't open and still waiting to have them fixed. The Jeld- wen are very cheaply made, don't waste your time or money. read more

I believe that is the lowest rating for a review. I recently had the rudest interaction with cashier at Lowe's and I'm 66 years old, I have been in alot of stores. I tried for hours on the internet and phone, nobody showed any care or concern and they never got back to me. I and several close friends have had this issue before. We all agree to go to home depot instead, sure they have bad situations also, but unlike Lowe's they always make it right. Good luck getting any help at this store.My wife and I went the other night to get a grill that was on sale.The employee for that department was at lunch we were told. So we asked if anyone else could help us the lady up front said we will send someone right over.I heard her page someone 15 minutes later nobody showed. We asked again 20 minutes later a guy showed and said the item wasn't there for sale in their store. I pulled it up on my phone and showed him where it said there were 17 grills at that location to which he replied oh they must be in the back let me check with the guy on break that knows this department.Another 15 minutes go by and I look and see a guy with no vest or i.d. pushing the grill on a cart toward the front I walked toward him and asked if that was for me as it was the same model advertised..........to which he responded I guess I thanked him and asked which cover would work on it. He pointed in the general direction over the covers and said "they are over there somewhere you will have to read the package" Then turned around and went to the back of the store I assume to finish his happy meal. Really great customer service normally I wouldn't waste my time with a review but this isn't the first time usually the employees there just avoid eye contact as they walk by if the deals on stuff weren't so great there I wouldn't bother. So if you have a lot of time on your hands and don't mind wandering aimlessly through a big store then being treated rude then this is the place for you. read more

USE A DIFFERENT STORE. The level of incompetence at this store is alarming. They called us and said fridge, stove, and French doors were in. We arrive, doors are no where to be found, takes 30 minutes to bring the stove from the back and an additional 30 minutes to retrieve the fridge. One would swear the sales people had to slay a dragon before retrieving anything from the back. On top of it all, they were alarmed we were not satisfied with our experience or their great bravery in retrieving our goods which should have arrived weeks ago (these goods were scheduled to arrive long before today). Pay a little extra and go somewhere else, this experience has shaved a week off of my life. read more

Two stars, not for the people who work there they are all very friendly and helpful, but the store itself has gone down hill. The shelves are filthy and many of the lighting displays are a shambles, missing bulbs and fixtures that just don't work. If you try to find an item that has an isle and shelf number you won't find the isle or shelf it's supposed to be on because not many things are in their proper place. The Deltona Lowes on Howland Blvd. is neat, clean, items are in their place and you can get an idea of how a light will look when you get it home because the displays all work! Get your act together Orange City Lowes before you find your customers running to Home Depot. read more

Buy a washer, breaks within 2 months of light use, they send a repair person to fix it (took forever) they "fix it" and it still doesn't work right. Call lowes and they tell you, eh there is nothing we can do about it. So now I have a broken washer I paid for that was brand new.. THANKS LOWES.. We purchased a refrigerator from Lowes , our dream machine.only to find out when it was deivered it wouldn't fit by a 1/4 of an inch. The delivery men said for us not to worry.they would search for a smaller machine.Unfortunately Samsung does not make a smaller one with the same features.Rose the sales clerk said she would find us something like we want.It will be a few months before they begin carrying the one.however with the courteous service of everyone at this store to help find our perfect one we are more than willing to wait.
