I had a back yard fence with a drive through gate installed recently. The gate was improperly installed, and did not open and close properly, and had a giant gap between the gates. The wood on the right gate has bowed considerably, and it cannot even open fully anymore. I have made numerous complaints about this sub par work, but nothing has been done to properly resolve this issue, even though the work is under warantee. Lowe's store #2460 Paducah, KY. came out March 1, 2023 to give me an estimate on installing siding, soffits and window trim. I signed a contract and paid them $8,500 for lumber and installation. The first promised date to install was April 19, 2023. I moved everything away from my home to make it easier for them. On April 19th no one showed up & no one called. I contacted "Josh" through text multiple times, and he would not respond. I contacted lowe's installation department & told them what was going on. I was then scheduled for installation multiple times and no one would show up and no phone calls to me telling me anything. They would give me another schedule date and then no one would show up. This happened multiple times. Finally got a date for install. December 26, 2023. They showed up for a couple days for 2 to 3 hours & they never returned. They did leave the soffits in our front yard since 12/23 they have been rained on and now the all the soffits are muddy. The workers also left a huge mess behind. They only installed a very small portion of soffits & what they did install is falling down.I have received emails from Lowe's on 10/11/23 & 12/27/23 stating that our installation was complete. I was also told the material that I paid for would arrive a few days before install. That never happened either! I paid for lumber material that I never received. The only thing I did receive was soffits and the workers brought that on 12/26/2023 I'm going on a year with this project from Lowe's & I decided I was done. I went to the store #2460 on 2/14/2024 wanting my money back. They said I had 2 days after I signed the contract to cancel. I have made plenty of attempts through the chain of commands to get this resolved. They keep passing me around. I lived up to my end of the contract, but Lowe's has not!!!! I have plenty of proof with text messages from Josh at Lowe's & emails to prove my case. If this doesn't get resolved very soon, then I will take them to court. James Vanden Brook read more

I like this store but I will not return here until they open a register. There are only self checkout registers open which causes a bottleneck with every little problem. If I shop here again, and I have spent A LOT of money here, it will be last choice because there are no registers open. I will drive across town to Home Depot from now on. read more

I've been to Lowe's stores all over the country. Some stores have the most knowledgeable employees and others not so much. This store seems to lack some of the basic courtesies such as customer suport and a basic ability to communicate politely to a paying customer. Not all employees, but the one's that can't, really can't. I blame management. My poor experiences here are not limited to today's visit. Unfortunately, it happens fairly regularly. Today, I asked for help with a product. The employee held a finger up to gesture to wait (they were alone and looking at their phone) and never helped me. I got to the checkout line and saw the manager. Once again, chatting with 3 or 4 employees, while people waited in line at the only 2 registers open, as he usually does. After my items were scanned, I asked to apply for a discount, one freely offered, but never able to use because no one in the store seems to know how to process it (this is my 3rd or 4th time asking for it). I found myself at the same impasse as usual. The checker did not know how to ring it up. However, I stood there this time ready to wait for them to learn how. The checker didn't bother to stick around to learn it and I passed me off the "Sharon M" who was too busy to communicate with me in any manner other than to say the "system" was giving her trouble 6 or 7 minutes into the process. Finally, she asked for my email. I asked why she needed it and she said "the system" needed it. I said I didn't want to give it and she threw her hands up, sarcastically stated she "could not help me" and "here's your card back." The tab is $400.00 of a potential sale and poor "Sharon m" can't seem to regulate her emotions, sarcasm or keep a sale. I asked for the manager. I would have let this go, I understand this Lowe's has a customer service problem, but I never got to see the manager. Another employee came by, I guess, posing as the manager although, she never acknowledged either way. She was able to process the discount and sale, but never acknowledged my complaint of rude customer service. So, they lose my business. I can order most of their inventory on line with their competitors and never have to deal with rude employees. Unfortunately, another business loses local money due to a lack of competent, customer service and no incentive for loyalty. read more

I love hardware stores and this one is no different from the ones back home. They were clean and neat and the staff was helpful. Everything I was looking for was in stock. I can't complain. read more
