I visited this Lowe's on July 4th and was really disappointed by the level of customer service. I don't usually leave reviews, but I felt like this needed to be shared. When I asked for help, one of the younger male employees responded with an attitude, and I felt dismissed. I also tried to wave down two older gentlemen for assistance, but they completely ignored me. I understand it was a holiday, and maybe they were short-staffed or having a long day--but it shouldn't take two employees to answer one woman's question, and I was polite in my approach. Requests over the speaker requested help at the board cutting section. 45 mins later, even talking to employees after I found them, still no one came to cut the board. On 3/1/22 we purchased the Glendale high top table and chairs. We paid over $1000.00 and In less than a year all four chairs failed. The bearings fell out and the chairs wobbled terribly. Lowe's did send us two replacement parts. The other two were not available. Mia a representative of the company (Yotrio) who manufactures this set contacted me via email. And said they have no more of the parts but wanted a picture of the receipt so they could compensate us for the two. Not sure how they planned on doing this but nonetheless I sent the pic of the receipt and have heard nothing. I even responded back to her on two occasions and still nothing. I know this review is a little late from the last contact I had from anyone concerning this issue. But I just sat in one of the chairs this evening and it feels worse than a couple days ago and just frustrated me to no end. When talking to others about the big box home improvement companies I have always stated that Lowe's was my store of choice. But with this, as what feel was a big purchase, and have gotten only partial compensation I have to rethink my preferences. Even the new parts have failed since the design did not change. Me and my son ( active Navy ) were in lowes and when we checked he tried to use his military discount and was denied. He had went online and filled out all of the necessary paperwork, previously. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT buy from this store! We spent over $1500 on a laundry center and delivery. Their installation people broke our air exchanger for our air conditioning system putting in the washer and dryer. After an hour and a half on the phone with Loews people (constant pass around) they put in a claim with their delivery company. That company returned ZERO phone messages, answered ZERO phone calls, sent a registered letter saying they did not do it despite never sending an inspector, never reading the air conditioner company's report, nor sending anyone who can speak English to address the issue. It was their people that broke it and tried to hide it. By the way their company has three different names so far (I wonder why). Now had my second in person trip to Loew's. Horribly undertrained customer service desk. Managers supposedly constantly not available until one this morning who was NOT HELPFUL AT ALL! We now need to take Loew's Port Charlotte to small claims court for the cost of our repairs, the return of their washer/dryer center, and damages for exposing our condo unit to liability issues. After 20 plus years as a Loew's customer spending thousands of dollars, you could not get me to buy a 50 cent screw from them ever again. So I am putting the word out there about our experience and again suggesting that you find a much better alternative for anything you are considering buying from there. read more

Someone came into the store that wanted my tile so someone at this store canceled my order and sold it to someone else. I recently purchased gas grill and Karen an Associate went up and beyond to help me out. She even wheeled the grill to register plus she ask if I would need a cover for it which I almost forgot and she helped pick the right size. Then she helped to put in car. We had some difficulty but she never gave up and actually went and got a manager or assistant manager I believe his name was Justin to give a hand. We finally were able to get in our car. Have now been without a washer since June 5th 2022- 12 weeks! I have tried to get Lowes Warranty Protection to fix or replace my washer with absolute zero results. I keep getting the run around. Originally called June 6th to place the claim. I have since had to call June 27th, July 11th, July 25th, and on August 4th They said they were sending my broke washer claim to Escalation Dept. And they would contact me in 48hrs. I never heard back so I called August 9th and they said escalation takes 10 business days. So today August 28th I call and now they want to escalate my already escalated claim and wait another 48 hrs to hear back- I can't even make sense of it at this point. So frustrated and disappointed- at this point I could have bought a new washer with the money I spent on the warranty and all the money I've spent going to the wash house for the last 12 weeks for a family of 7. Beware the repair company they use- They sent- CUSTOMER CARE APPLIANCE SRVC 6202 PRESIDENTIAL CT, UNIT E, FORT MYERS, FL 33919, USA (239) 257-2345 These people are extremely rude and have zero phone manners. They come to your house and order wrong parts and give the run arround- first time out June 14th they ordered the wrong parts, 2nd time out June 28th (after I called to find out when they would come fix my washer) they came with the wrong parts from the 1st service call, this time said they had to order correct parts. 3rd time out July 12th (after I called on July 11th) they said the mother board they ordered won't work because all the wiring has been burnt and they need to order more parts. I have tried calling the repair people and the warranty people- no one is of any help! Sadly I have read other reviews and they are all stating basically the same thing about the warranty dept and the repair people! Save you sanity and money and do not buy a warranty- cheaper to just replace appliances these days. read more

I was looking in the garden department for wood fencing because that's where the Nort Port store sells it and they were out. An older lady told me they don't sell wood fencing in the garden department and told me to go to the other end of the store. she spoke to me like I was a moron and never gave me an opportunity to tell her that the Garden dept in North Port, FL. went to Lumber and they only had the high Pickett fence. As I was leaving I saw a skid of the fence outside of the Garden departmeant enclosure. I pulled and wanted to buy. so I went back into the dept. and got the same older lady. she again told me they had no wood fence but I told her there was a skid of what I wanted and showed her. she told me to go to customer service because she was leaving for the day. The door broke on my microwave so I went to home depot where I found the same model for $328. After10 minutes trying to find a sale s rep I was told that they would have to order the model and pay a $69 delivery fee. Went to Lowe's.Off Veterans in scale Coral where a sales rep came up to me within a minute asking if I needed help. Showed me the floor model that was the same as the one I needed but at Lowe's it was only $279 and it was in stock. He helped me load the box on my cart. Bottom line home depot gets a 1 and Lowe's gets a 5 and I saved $118. read more

I am really a bit shocked after calling Lowes (Port Charlotte Fl) just a few minutes ago. The situation I have is that I recently bought a nice Chainsaw less than 60 days ago (still new and sealed in the box) as I have not needed to use it yet, but after doing some on line research I discovered that Lowes carried, or at least could get a slightly larger model of the same brand name for about an additional $150.00. The customer care agent did not even care to discuss the fact that my trade was still sealed (NIB) and that I wanted to spend more money for the one that better suits my needs, she only ranted that "it's been over thirty days". Never have I seen this extent of short minded stupidity in my entire life of 65 years. I am totally perplexed, but will conduct all further shopping at The Home Depot for now on. read more

My husband is retired Navy so we shop at Lowe's because they honor the Military. Unfortunately the Port Charlotte Fl store has disappointed us. Being on oxygen and living in Florida we had no choice but to purchase home a generator and installation back in May from Lowe's in Port Charlotte. In June we received a call the generator was in. It was not delivered until July. Mid August they partially installed the generator. Still waiting for the propane tank to be delivered, installed and hooked up. I've contacted corporate and they say the local store contact me today, tomorrow or in 24 hours nothing..... did I mention I had to pay them in advance and all I get are excuses. Purchased 2 doors from Lowe's in March and was going to use their installation service as well. On May 3rd Charlotte County approved the permit. never got a call to setup a n install date and every time I called the installation department they told me that they would have the service company call me and to expect that call within 24 hours. That call never happened. I would call Lowe's install division and they would use their favorite word "escalate" the issue. Well, that escalation never resulted in a call. On May 24th I called and told them to cancel the order and to credit my bank account. Now, I did place it on my Lowe's account but the next month I paid it in full. So there was no reason to put it on the Lowe's account but they did. Now I have been relegated to burning this money off at Lowe's, lining their pockets with additional store sales. Lowes should not reap the reward of having my money after non performance of a contract. I was able to locate the email addresses for both the CEO and Exec. VP if you need it. read more

Most terrible ordeal ordering custom window shades due to associates only caring about new sales - not after the sale, highly resistant re-work requests, management that doesn't care and with the policy "the customer is always wrong". We have had nothing but issues with Lowe's and customer service. We bought and had a front door installed but a year later and several phone calls and non retuned phone calls, visits to the store to speak in person and the issue one year later has still not been resolved. They were supposed to cover all the screw holes after inspection and this has not been completed. We even asked them to send the covers directly to us last year and still didn't get them. Today we went there to purchase blinds. There is only one person working that department and although we had the blinds we needed and just needed them cut the one person was helping other customers shop for the blinds they wanted. When my husband asked if there was any one else that could help her response was "we're doing the best we can" and left it at that. We left without purchasing blinds. I have shopped at this store countless times over the past 3 years and I can say that any of the associates working there that I have encountered have been very courteous and helpful. I worked in construction for the majority of my working career and have over 30 years experience in dealing with building materials retailers. These people are among the most pleasant to deal with that I have encountered in this type of business. This store is hands down the WORST retailer we have ever shopped with. HORRIBLE customer service. The managers are jerks, and will not take our calls regarding our $18,000 Pella windows which have been a shit-show since we ordered them beginning of April. They are still not completed, and they are trying to cut corners to get the job done. The guy who sold us the windows (Harry), begged us for our business and was so nice...UNTIL WE SIGNED THE CONTRACT!! After we signed, we never saw or heard from him again. When I would call or text him to find out where our windows were, he wouldn't even bother to respond. Saw him in our neighborhood the other day, and when he saw me, he looked the other way and just kept driving. I cannot believe the rude treatment we've received. If I could take all these windows out, and find a different place to buy them, I would! If you're looking to do a major home improvement project, run the other direction. First day of mask mandate set by Lowe's and still saw several people in the store not wearing mask. If your going to mandate it at least enforce the rules. There's no visible sign at the entry no one asking if you have a mask or need one. This is a good Lowe's. Being in an area with a lot of retired contractors that are bored with their retirement does have its perks. One of those perks is that they go to work for Lowe's and so are able to answer your questions so that one CAN do it themselves. I used Lowes in WI and IL, no problem. This is the worst store ever. I wish I had read the reviews before ordering. They have messed up 3 orders now. Fridge was supposed to be delivered 3 days after ordering on-line - was a week late. Fridge delivery was horrible. Didn't set up properly. Fridge didn't work properly (not Lowe's fault), so the store made me purchase another, have the original one picked up ant they failed to credit me back. Said the pick up was not recorded. I had to visit the store and it still took 2 hours for them to straighten it out. Ordered a toilet (before the total fiasco with the fridge). Was called the day it was supposed to arrive and told it would be a week late. I had contractors scheduled, so asked if they could expedite. Got it in 2 days, but only half the toilet. Asked if they could expedite the other half. Told they could not ?!?! I still do not have the whole toilet. My contractor told me his customers get orders for tiles messed up at this Lowes all the time. The management / customer service at this store is the poorest retail experience I have ever had. If you want to save yourself many headaches, do not purchase from this store. read more

Called corporate they said they would get back to me in a couple of days...2 weeks ago. Best story...I brought back a vanity light that quit working after a couple of months, this was not a cheap light mind you, they said they couldn't exchange it because it had been installed. The worst service, it's been 4 months and still repairs not completed on my fence after the install. They did a TERRIBLE job with MANY cracked and warped boards, poor design, lack of material used, didn't follow instructions. Then I get a 12 month no interest and was never applied and have been paying interest since, it just NOW was taking care after 4 months of interest.............BUT I have to wait 2 months (billing cycles) to get the refunded for over payments. Another screw up on LOWES part! They fence company Superior with a team leader Carlos never called or showed up on 6/6/19 as scheduled.........after pissing my wife off having to stay here all day for the man to show up.
