On Saturday June 13th at around 330 pm I was shopping in this store and witnessed an employee from the paint department fighting with a customer, to the point where I thought he was going to attack the poor customer. It got so bad he tried to follow the customer to her car, thank god another employee held him back and thank god I am from out of state and don't have to shop in this store on a regular basis. The young lady who spoke to me on the phone claimed she was a front end supervisor and was very nasty with her attitude. She even parked my call while I was talking to her. I needed help in Lowes (store #1798) in Wake Forest with a home improvement project. Gordon and Malcom provided excellent advice and excellent customer service. Gordon help me select the boards I needed for my project and loaded the boards on to a cart. Since the boards needed to be cut to length, he wheeled them to Malcom. Malcom expertly cut the boards to length with 1/4" accuracy. Malcom then wheeled the boards to checkout and came back to load them in my car. My customer service experience could not have been better. read more

I can't tell you how frustrated we are with the quality of product supplied by Lowes. We ordered a Therma-True front door from them in April . We sent the first one back due to poor construction. The second one came in with gouges on the frame. We rejected that one. We just received the third door and it also had gouges on the frame. It has been 6 months, without a front door. Out of shear necessity we have had to accept this third door. I would NOT recommend Lowes for special order products if you want quality. After going online, I went to the NW Raleigh Lowe's to pick up 500 pound bags of stone. It was priced at $52 per bag online. At the store, the computer rang up $70.88 per bag. I showed the screen shot of the price online. The store manager refused to honor the price saying they do not match other Lowe's stores. What, they supposedly match Home Depot but not their own company? Always some excuse to not match prices. But, they advertise matching all prices. This is false advertising. Lowe's offers many gimmicks such as five percent off on Lowe's credit card purchases. But, they always cost more per item than Home Depot even after the five percent. Next time in the store, look around and see that very few contractors purchase bulk items here. Unless you are in a hurry, drive five minutes down the road to Home Depot and save some money. Home Depot needs the competition or they may raise their prices. I would hate to see Lowe's go under due to their constant stupidity. read more

Do NOT use Lowe's to purchase and install an appliance. We purchased a dishwasher and were told the installation was scheduled for a week later. When that day arrived the installer called and said their installer was in the hospital and we would now have to wait another 3+ weeks for a new installation date. I contacted the Lowe's appliance department in North Raleigh and two of the store managers, but NONE could help. They claimed that they were powerless to help. They all said they had zero power and Lowe's did not have another subcontractor/vendor in all of Raleigh who could do the installation. This is unacceptable for a multi-billion dollar company. Wow, I really want to support Lowe's over Home Depot but this location and the overall company systems is making it VERY hard. While the location is convenient to me, every recent visit I've had has resulted in issues. Either the website says they have inventory in the store and it's not there. An online order comes in and I drive over for an express pick-up which takes 30 MINUTES to find one item that's been shipped. Or I ask for help and the associate never stops by. The staff here is nice but not very helpful and sort of clueless. Do NOT use this store at all for anything. They will screw you. We used them to build a deck. It was an absolute nightmare. The store couldn't find half of the materials and wouldn't just supply materials to replace those missing. It took weeks before they found them at the store! We had issues with the contractor which added to the nightmare. To top it off, they over ordered materials which they picked up for return. They then informed us that they would not refund us for the over ordered materials. We had to get with corporate to get anything done at all as the store just didn't care. We had to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau in order to get corporate to even step in. read more

Wow! Went in today to purchase a washer and dryer. Jason the sales person was truly trying to convince me not to buy ‍ My husband was just wondering why the machines have Wi-Fi. His face went cold and proceeded to tell us about his brother in the hospital and that is a good feature for him. And he continued to mention his brother. We picked a washer and dryer and I mentioned to him that I was already approved for 2 nd party financing. As soon he hear that! That sale was over. He said well!! I'll have to do something here on the computer then walk to the register and check you out and added that Lowe's is expected to change drastically. Why say that, just make the sale. This guy was truly unprofessional and can't figure why he's got a sign saying he's a top seller. The worst doesn't accurately capture this company's inability to 1) order product, 2) successfully install it, 3) keep the customer informed, and 4) manage the complete clown show of all parties involved. We ordered doors in APRIL 2023. It's DECEMBER 2023 and I have 1 door very poorly installed and one door not fully installed. Now, has there been ANY sense of urgency or means of customer service to resolve this shit situation? Absolutely not. Has EVERY SINGLE STEP of this process been a compelte mess? Yes. All I can muster out of anyone is 'it's not me, it's them'. And all customer service, the store, and the installer can say is, 'we're sorry'. We're so sorry. Did we tell you your parts were in? Oops, they were never ordered. We're sorry. Did you order one type of door? Well, we ordered another door instead (and not all the required parts either!) and we've dropped it off at someone else's house! We're sorry. Did we say we'd be there on Monday? Wednesday? Friday? Did we not show on any of those days/times? Did we not call you before to say we weren't showing or after to say can we reschedule? We didn't? We're sorry. Oh dear, thank you for trusting Lowe's. Let us get back to you in two days time after we've stressed ourselves by sending one email to one person who won't respond. Then we'll call you. And we'll do this for SIX WEEKS straight. If I could give this company zero stars I would. Ordering from Lowe's was an absolute nightmare. Three times we have waited for their delivery logging more than 16 hours of time frames for them to not show up, then missing one of the pedestals that we ordered and refused to still install the washer and dryer that we ordered. Then promised to show up two days later to install everything and we waited all day for them to not even show. We called and asked to speak to a manager and the manager said that they declined to take our call. We insisted, and she finally answered and was the rudest person we have ever dealt with. This is for an online order. I wanted to increase a quantity on one of the items in my order. The lady was helpful and said okay. Call was done and then in an hour received an email stating the entire order was canceled. Why? Blame is on system. Why did you canceled the entire order? Did she asked before hand? Nope. The kicker is we are waiting for the dryer to arrive the next day. A new order will push this out by another week. The second lady that I talked to just did not want to admit that Lowes screwed up and this new order has to be pushed out and refused to let me speak to the supervisor. I've been shopping at this Lowes location almost weekly for some time, mostly in the garden department. Today I went in for flower pots. When I grabbed a pot up on a shelf, about 2 gallons of water came pouring out onto me and all into my leather purse. I told the first employee (Carol) that I saw, who just looked at me with a blank stare. I then went and waited in the customer service line, and the lady I talked to said she would tell a manager. On my way home (soaked and more annoyed) I decided to call and talk with a manager. The guy I talked with was awful. He said I should expect pots outside to have water in them. He then asked me if I'd bought the pots. Since I hadn't, he said he couldn't do anything to compensation me. How about showing a little empathy?!? This Lowe's is a bit hidden in a shopping area off Capital Bd near Millbrook, in the same area as Sam's Club, Staples and Target. Pretty funny when you leave Target and search for Lowe's in your Yelp! app, and the app says, "Hey! It's right over there!" I needed a couple of things to hang framed art at home which I was able to find fairly quickly (as compared to Home Depot), and also picked up a cute bromeliad plant. Lowe's plants seem to be a little better than HD and the employees are more helpful. You'll have to look harder than usual for this Lowe's location, unless you know where it is. read more

Not really happy with this store at all. Please, please hire someone who is nice in customer service. I drove from Wake Forest into this store because they listed some specific chairs in stock. Well,even though they had them in inventory I could not find them so I went to customer service where I met Ruth. The greeting was, "You need to wait!". Well okay. Next was "What do you need?" I explained the situation with the chairs. "We don't have them", she barked. I continue to explain that they were in the inventory online. She finally agreed to phone lawn and garden. I had two projects done at the same time and it is absolutely the worst thing I could have ever done. First, on the Flooring project there was no coordination from the flooring coordinator Brandon until the project was finished because the floor installers Legacy had installed vinyl plank flooring where carpet and foam were previously and this left an unsightly gap at the base of the floor leading to my kitchen and to my living area. I was told by flooring coordinator and area manager that they put down what the customer tells them to install. It is my opinion that I should have been provided a quote as to the cost to have product installed to prevent the two flooring areas from being so vastly different. Lowes took no responsibility. I am presently awaiting the completion of an island installation which its delay has been a major inconvenience for me since I am 67 years of age and a diabetic with other chronic health conditions. The install of item was to take place on 8/20. Delivery of countertop was to arrive on delivery truck 8/19, but item was not on the truck. I phoned the asst. store manager and the installer to inform them of problem. Installer arrived on 8/20 and informed me that Lowes told him that the item had been delivered. I asked to speak with store manager to inform him of the problem I was having and he said he would do some research and get back. I called the store back and I was informed that the item had been damaged and that they would order another one and push a rush on it. Rush placed and on 9/4 I was told that item was in store and would be delivered to my home on 9/6. I Ph store around noon to get an update on delivery and they did not have me on the scheduled. Another delivery date was set and the old countertop was delivered instead of the new one. I check the Po# and matched it up with the old receipt. There were too many calls made to the store with conflicting information. Countertop is in my possession as of 9/15. Quality contractors called and said they would be at my home by 12:00 on 9/15 or 9/16 in the am. to finish installation of island/cooktop. This has caused me so much stress as it was difficult to prepare food without my cooktop being in place, not to mention all the misinformation that I received from the store. Sad to say that my countertop/cooktop couldn't be installed as scheduled as second counter top was damaged and had to be placed on order. I am still awaiting the arrival an installation of countertop/cooktop as of 10/2/2020. read more

Please do yourself a favor and do NOT go to Legacy Flooring. I had a very horrible experience. I went to Lowe's to have my carpet replaced. Lowe's contracts all of their flooring work out to Legacy Flooring. Lowes simply cannot handle the work volume required for flooring and Legacy cannot handle the work volume either. Lowes used to contract their flooring work out to multiple contractors but now only contracts out to Legacy. I spent $35 for Legacy to measure my carpet and give me an estimate for how much it would cost to replace my carpet. The thing is, Legacy never even came! Lowe's gave me Legacy's contact information so that I could book an appointment for them to come to my house. As soon as you call, you are on a waiting list to speak to customer service. It takes roughly 30 minutes to finally connect and I ask them to set me up for an appointment. They tell me that my carpet measurer is busy and that she will call me back by the end of that business day. The day ends and I never received a phone call. And so I call back the very next day only for the exact same thing to happen again. It takes roughly 30 minutes to finally connect and I ask them to set me up for an appointment, I was told they'd call me back that day, and then I never received a phone call. After finally getting fed up, I started researching into Legacy and reading online reviews. If you go to their Glassdoor website, a former employee claimed that they are high turnover and understaff their call center. They receive on average of 800 calls a day and simply cannot handle the work volume. I should of quit there, but I unfortunately did not. I ended up calling them a 3rd time and connected with customer service after waiting about 30 minutes again. This time they were able to set up an appointment for someone to come and measure my carpet between 1 - 5 pm. That day comes and I never receive a phone call telling me that they're coming. Around 4:20 pm I decide to call Legacy and see if they're coming. It takes about 30 minutes to reach customer service and they tell me they're coming. They end up never even showing up. No phone call, no nothing, no apology, etc. I still haven't heard from them in over 3 days. I took the day off from work and it was a complete waste of my time. I will be returning to Lowes to demand my $ back. I ended up calling a company called Brentwood Flooring America and have been very satisfied with Brentwood Flooring America. Many people assume that Lowes will be cheaper for carpet then other companies because they are wholesale. That is not true. I was informed that Brentwood Flooring America can offer competitive prices that are very close to Lowes. My dad originally wanted to go with Lowes because he saw that Lowes does "free" carpet installation. Nothing in life is free. What Lowes will do for example is they will take a piece of carpet and charge $1/square foot and then claim "free" carpet installation. Other local companies such as Brentwood Flooring America will take that exact piece of carpet and charge $0.50/square foot and then charge you for installation. If you do your research, the price will end up being very close to similar. My dad fell in love with the whole "free" installation until I called Brentwood and convinced him otherwise. Brentwood has given me amazing customer service and I hope that you guys will go with their business instead of Legacy Flooring. If you read reviews for Legacy Flooring, you will realize that they used to have good reviews. At some point, Lowes started giving all of their flooring work to them. Legacy tried to take on too much work at once and cannot keep up with the work volume due to poor management. Any recent reviews for Legacy Flooring will be very bad. Their is a giant disconnect between Legacy and Lowes and it leads to very poor customer service. Brentwood Flooring America is a local company. However they are able to get their carpets at wholesale price because they go in with a multitude of other companies together and buy carpet in bulk. Because of this, Brentwood Flooring America is able to get their carpet for super cheap and remain competitive with wholesale companies like Lowes. I am not affiliated with Brentwood Flooring America and am only a customer that had a great experience with them. I had a very bad experience with Lowes and Legacy Flooring. I highly recommend to avoid Lowes Flooring and Legacy Flooring. If you have any issues with your flooring, Lowes will tell you to take your issues to Legacy Flooring. When you try to call Legacy Flooring be ready to take not less than 30 minutes to get through to customer service and then also be ready to receive very poor customer service. read more

I am doing home repairs and when looking for products/supplies, I go to the Lowes on Capital Blvd in Raleigh since it is closer to my home. The customer service is awful. For example, I went in today ready to purchase 10-11 boxes of vinyl plank. It took forever for someone to wait on me. When someone did, he seemed disinterested and in a rush--walked away from me in the midst of my questions. But that's ok. Worst customer service ever! I recently went to exchange a propane tank for a full one. This should take ten minutes at most. The woman at the register rang me up and said someone would meet me outside. I went and pulled my truck around and ten minutes later, no one is there. I asked an employee outside for help and he said he'd get someone. Ten minutes later, no help. I see him again and he says someone will be out shortly. I go inside and ask the first employee I see for help and he basically ignores me until I ask him again for help. Another ten minutes and someone finally comes out. The employees at this place can turn a ten minute errand into a half hour of waiting. Management at this place needs to take ownership of their problems and solve the customer service issues. Either that, or corporate needs to step in. This was my last trip to this Lowes. My business is now going elsewhere. read more

We needed a refrigerator replacement. We shopped online and decided to go with Lowes, since they were supposed to deliver it a few days earlier than another home improvement store and a big tech store. The night before the delivery, 20 minutes before they closed, we received a message that there would be a 2-day delay due to a recent power outage at the distribution center. Fine. The afternoon of the next delivery date, they called to delay delivery AGAIN, for another 3 days, for the power outage from the previous week. Rented a truck. It's a cheap 22$ after taxes for 90 minutes but that doesn't mean they don't have to keep it clean and have the maintenance on it kept up. The truck has a horrid smell and is completely dirty and dusty on the inside. The seatbelt even smells moldy. I'll definitely have to go back to using U-Haul just based off their cleanliness. read more

Very disappointed in this location. I tried to rent a truck (which I have done many times at a cary location) and was refused service. I was told I had to buy something large enough from them to rent the truck. Nothing online says anything about that. I was told by an associate that I'd was a new policy that came into effect 3 weeks ago. I called corporate office and they read over the policy and no where does it say that. They were confused as to why I was told of that policy. Management never came out to talk to me. It is as if management makes their own rules here. Renting a truck not only makes the store money but driving it around town is advertising so I couldn't understand why they wouldn't. They have absolutely no idea what is going on or where anything is I have had good experiences with lowes in the past but lately none of their staff knows where anything is nor do they know anything about the stuff inside the store or what it is for. There is usually a very knowledgeable gentleman at the paint desk that can help you with anything. This time he was not there when I went there. I went to get some porch supplies and paint for our porch. The person at the desk couldn't tell me where anything was and couldn't operate the paint mixer. I tried to ask someone else but no one had any idea how to do anything. It was almost as if everyone was new. The same thing happened when I asked another person about deck screws. I needed 10x2 1/2 deck screws. The first person couldn't tell me what isle they were on and the second person knew what isle the screws were on but not where any specific screw was. He looked surprised they had a screw specifically for decks. I'm not sure what was going on there but if you are a novice or beginner in construction or whatever project you are working on, I would not go here. read more

Big boxes are not my thing. I would prefer to head to Ace Hardware any day, but sometimes you need a new storm door and some lumber, and Lowe's does that. I will say, however, that it's really hit or miss with actual customer service. If you're in some departments, they'll just have no idea where anything is or what you're talking about. I will say that the lumber guys and the plumbing guys know their stuff. Two big winners for Lowe's is that 1) they cut your lumber for free and 2) they will pretty much accept any return regardless of condition. We bought a gas-powered edger (not a weed-eater - this was a huge piece of machinery), used it twice and really wasn't happy with the result. After thinking it over we returned it. All they asked is that we empty the gas tank and that was that. Still, they need to step-up the overall knowledge of their staff. read more
