If only I can give no star to this i would, especially customer service. We encounter a very rude cashier guy like in his 50s middle eastern/indian accent old guy. We are paying and my husband puting his card on a chip and said in there processing and after please remove card and we thought it goes thru. then we standing still and hes just standing there looking to nowhere. and he said "it says there swipe or insert" playing smart as if we dont know how to read. how would we know that the chip is not working and he doesnt help at all seems like hes mind is not at work at all. Very rude, very arrogant guy. how can you work in a cashier type of job without customer service at all..totally pissed me off!!! but the staff inside are very helpful...just him. i didnt catch his name to be specific. read more

This place is just ok. They won't take visa gift cards. I bought a shop vac and the cashier was not very knowledgeable and said they dint take visa gift cards. This store really needs to get it together. I think the extra drive to Home Depot will be better for me. read more

I've shopped at this store for years. I bought all my kitchen appliances here, in fact, and my kitchen and bathroom cabinets. However, I left the store today without buying a thing because someone decided to play HORRIBLE music at top volume. The country Christmas carols were bad enough, but to bookend them with Celine Dione and Belinda Carlisle "hits" from 20 years ago was too much. One of the associates said "can you imagine having to listen to this 12 hours a day?" when she asked us how we were doing and my husband teasingly said the music was bad. PLEASE, LOWES. Just when I thought it couldn't get worse, the store or corporate decreased staff and removed "call for assistance" buttons. Now in addition to having less variety in merchandise, there is a scavenger hunt for staff and the off chance of finding (maybe) staff that is knowledgeable and able to be of assistance. Once upon a time this was a five star Lowes. Now it is worth time driving to Murphy to avoid time wasted in Richardson. read more

I am a huge Lowe's fan... Especially this location! We had to redo the inside of a house and I must have made 20 trips to this Lowe's to get paint, bathroom appliances, and tons of other stuff. They were always very nice and extremely helpful! I give it 4 stars because it can be difficult to track someone down in the paint section. We ran in to Lowe's last night about 15 minutes before closing. Employee #1 helped me find 2 items, and walked me right to them. Employee #2 made eye contact, smiled and said "hi" in passing. Employee #3 took us out of line to his register (but had problems with the register) so he led us to... Employee #4 who cheerfully checked us out. (Maybe they were happy that it was closing time.) That's the typical experience here, all day. Friendly, helpful, clean and organized. Nice garden and kitchen departments, too. This store is never very busy, but it should be. Noticed my refrig was dead Sat am (30 yrs old so it was time) - after packing all I could in ice chests, cleaning and trashing what I couldn't save or cook, I got to Lowes well after 4:00pm. Found what I wanted in the store, my salesman got me included on the Sunday delivery!! (supposed to be requested before 4:00 for next day delivery) The delivery men called a couple of times to let me know their ETA. Then they accomplished a MONUMENTAL task of getting it in my home and set up. (older home, small entry ways, full garage and front door entry space blocked by furniture and desks) I felt so bad, but they had nothing but good will and accomplishment on their agenda. I cannot thank these hard workers enough, what good men, TKS again - - - - - - about time for a new stove and dishwasher too. I'll make sure they fit thru my doors and openings first. This place being located near a Home Depot is awesome. Because the home depot usually doesnt have what I want, I end up coming here, where they do have it. The store is brighter, cleaner, and most importantly, you can find actual help with out waiting 30 mins. Prices are kind of high but overall super good store. Solid 4 out of 5 read more

Will never buy anything at this store again. Had 2 wait over a half hour 4 the only person in that dept to help me. Finally choose my washing machine & then had 2 wait while the cashier figured out how 2 enter the info in the computer The delivery people were supposed 2 call & give me a delivery time. They never called. I called 3 different times 2 get an idea when they would b here. Each time I was told something different & again they didn't show up finally after my last call I told them if they didn't arrive this time that they told me ( which of course they didn't) they could just keep it Finally we agreed on a time & they actually showed up. Purchased a dishwasher on 2/7/2018 based on availability and price. Was told the dishwasher would be in on 2/12. Received call on 2/9 from installer saying DW was in and they could install on 2/12 between 9 a.m and noon. Did not show up; no call. I called installer and was told DW was not at Lowe's when they went to pick up and that Lowe's was supposed to call me. I called Lowe's; was transferred to 3 different people; told DW would be in 2/14. Received call from Lowe's on 2/13 saying DW would not be in until 2/16. Checked with Customer Svc. on 2/17; was told DW would be in 2/18. Called on 2/20; on hold 20 mins; was told DW would be in following week. Cancelled order and got refund. Do not appreciate getting run around. Not good business practice. read more

We are in the process of upgrading our home. I had purchased several sheets of 11/32 inch plywood for accent trim at Home Depot. In fact they ran out. This morning I went to the Lowe's store in Richardson to buy some more plywood. The young man that waited on me refused to cut it into 12 inch by8 foot strips. Obviously Lowes does not want contractor business. I will never set foot in that store again. read more

The one-star is for their installation contractor. I ordered an exterior steel door and was told it would come in within 28 days. A month and a half later the install company called to schedule the installation. The day before install I was told the contractor had a family emergency and it was rescheduled for another day. On that day the contractor didn't call me until late in the day, with install to take 3 hours (which meant the work wouldn't be done until well into the evening). So we rescheduled for 8am the next Saturday. At 9am he said he was at Lowes waiting for the store manager to release the door to him. At 12:30pm a Lowes employee called to say they couldn't find the door. I ordered the door on March 28. I cancelled the door on June 2. The only reason I will continue to shop at Lowes is because a nice clerk gave me a 100% refund with no questions or hesitation. But I will NEVER order an install job through Lowes again. read more

my husband i recently went to loew's not knowing what to do with our popcorn ceiling, luckly there was donna whom works at the paint department, she gave us great advice and even help with my decision on the wall color. most big box warehouse stores have a bad reputation of workers not knowing what they are talking about in the department they are working in but i am glad that donna was there. read more

If there was a Zero star option I'd have used that instead of the one. Ad came out for mulch and landscape timbers, neither of which were available after the first day. The mulch was on sale for 5 days and the timbers, 26th-30th, and the timbers until the 6th. Neither item had a limited quantity or no rain check provision. Was told they couldn't sell negative, rain check, the mulch, but could on the landscape timbers. WTF! All the stores in my area were out of both items. Recommend Home Depot! read more

My family recently found itself in need of a new washer and dryer. Our washer had broken, and we decided to replace it rather than invest in a repair. The people selling appliances at all the Lowes stores that I went to were very knowledgeable and helpful, but none of them had the exact appliance I had decided to purchase, since it was a new model that was not available yet. Since we can't live without a washer for very long, I decided to purchase a slightly smaller washer and dryer set. The salesmen was able to rush it to me from the distribution center and have it delivered in 4 days. The delivery went well. Our old broken washer and dryer was removed, and the new washer was installed. During delivery, I changed my mind and exchanged the electric dryer I had initially ordered, for a gas model. No problem doing that with Lowe's. They took care of it and had the gas dryer out a few days later. No extra charge for delivery, install or removal of my old appliances. The salesman was helpful and available on the phone to answer questions throughout the entire process. I was irked that the installers could not hook up the gas dryer for me due to the liability, so I taught myself how to do it. It turned out it is not very difficult, but moving those heavy appliances around by myself is.Everything is hooked up but I would never purchase the 8' rigid dryer exhaust duct from Lowe's again as it is too long for my installation and bends too much. I'm going to install a new shorter duct soon. For a big box store, Lowe's did a good job informing me of all of my options when it came to getting me what I wanted. They also delivered good service after the sale. The price was competitive, but the service made me a fan. read more
