Stopped here to pick up herbs for the garden. We were looking all over at other box stores and garden centers and couldn't find basil. They had basil along with a great selection of other herbs. We picked up peppermint too. They had two cashiers working the garden center on the Saturday before Memorial Day so the lines went really quick. I was in this store 4/24/26 at approximately noon. I was looking for something in particular. Wood area sent me to landscaping, landscaping sent me to shelving...I never found it. Anyway, the man working in landscaping outside was rude. I tried to show him a picture of what I was looking for on my phone and I didn't find it fast enough apparently. He said to let him know when I find it and he walked away. He couldn't wait 3 seconds? I left the store and probably will not shop here again. I ordered new countertops in early November. I paid Lowe's all upfront because it was mandatory. The installer didn't come until February. I was told we would have new countertops before the new year. When the installer did come out to install they demolished the old countertops and disconnected everything. When they went to look at the new countertops they were made wrong. There was a joint right where the sink was going to go. When they started cutting into the countertop snapped in 2 peaces. It wouldn't be bad if there was an answer immediately but it's over a month later and I still have no answers and my kitchen is still demolished. I went into Lowe's and they say that there hands are tied and they can't do anything and I'm getting the run around from the manufacturer. Well I paid Lowe's to be the general contractor why am I having to deal with the manufacturer? Why is it taking months to put in countertops? Why can't Lowe's help me? They have a nice variety the only issue I've had with them was that they were not clear last year about their return policy for holiday items. I recently ordered a stove from Lowes on line. My experience was rather frustrating and fraught with Miscommunication. The first time the stove was slated to be delivered I received a voice mail stating the unit was damaged. When I called back I was left on hold for 45 Minutes and then hung up on. When I was finnaly able to reach customer service, the person on the phone told me she would re order the unit for me and re scheduled delivery. On the day of this delivery we where called and warehouse stated that she scheduled delivery of the same damaged unit, so there would be no delivery. My husband happened to be home, when suddenly drivers showed up to take away our old stove and said someone else would be back to delivery the new unit within 2 hours. My husband asked to speak to the manager and had to explain to them that the new stove was on order, but not in fact at the warehouse. 3rd times a charm and the stove arrived in good condition with professional installers. We where told there would be a fallow up call frow Lowes. No one reached out. We think because they didn't want to hear our complaints about the fact that one hand didn't know what the other was doing and the ball was dropped several times. We found the process with customer service and giving feedbck tedious as well as time consuming. No apologies for the hours of time wasted by us waiting for the item and having to repeat our frustration. In future we are shopping local for our appliances and will not return to Lowes EVER!!! read more

I walked in the store was immaculate as always. The customer service was super friendly and easy to find. They helped me find everything that was available. and was willing to order the things that were not. They also asked me if I wanted to apply for a Lowe's card. I did was approved, and also got 10% off of my entire purchase along with 5% for everyday purchases. The stores conveniently located right off Indianapolis boulevard. Never again, I had a terrible experience, I try ordering patio doors for my home, the first delivery they had the doors width wrong, made for 2x6" walls, they re order the door. This time the rough opening was wrong. When ordering doors the rough opening is crucial so is the hight. Well, according to the manager. I order the doors for a 5' and 6' opening witch by the way is standard opening. The doors came 5'-3" wide and 6-3" wide(two different doors that I order) the door don't fit the opening, I can't use them so to return them they charge me 20% re stacking fee or $752 dollars . One of the doors was damage and never made it to my house and the store manager didn't care . Once you sign the doors are yours! Note to self, always check the paper work and make sure the other person typing the order does it right. I figure I own my part of the responsibility to check, so I ask the millwork manager if there was another door I could order, I figure I try to make a deal with them, he said nothing they have would work for my rough opening, so I went to Home Depot, in 5 minutes the salesman had the door ready to be order exactly as I need it, their price was $2200 per door, so I went back to Lowes, ask if they had the same brand of doors and the millworker manager said yes, I practically walk him trough the process to figure out the door I wanted, to my surprise when he finish, their price was $3100 dollars for the exact same door. I ask if they would match the price and the store manager said no plus I still had to pay the 20% re stacking charge. So I did. But took my business to Home Depot, order my new doors. They to contact corporate office and they also didn't care to hear it. I figure out that the problem was in the computer system of how the brand I was buying adds to the door size you want not the rough opening witch is the main reason to order custom doors. I have long been a faithful customer of the Big H Depot but I have been slowly coming around to shopping at Lowe's. This is a beautifully merchandised store that is bright and clean. The staff is most helpful and competent and they are not understaffed. I detest waiting because a company is too cheap to hire enough employees. I can't boast enough about their beautiful quality garden plants available at this Lowe's in particular. I have a background in horticulture and Lowe's is the top of the line. Outstanding quality, selection, prices aren't bad and the variety of product is abundant. Most pleased. I know I will be going to Lowe's 1st before I visit the competition. I have always had a pleasant experience at this location. Everyone has been so helpful to me. I just moved to the area and have had to do some home improvement jobs - from floors, to light bulbs, to building a bench, to buying caulk - I've been here plenty of times over the past couple of months. I have had many questions and the associates have been able to help me. I had to return some things and the return process was painless! My most memorable experience was when I wanted to build a bench for my patio. The gentleman working in the wood area helped me all of the way. I gave him the dimensions and he helped me pick out the best wood. Then he cut all of the pieces I needed and recommended what type of nails to use as well as paint to complete my project! I really do like this store. They offer high quality products and their customer service is excellent. They are always asking if they can help you find something. I was looking for something, but being a guy, didn't want to ask for help. Immediately two associates made eye contact and could tell I was not finding what it wanted they both (separately but at the same time) approached and asked if they could help. So much like a home improvement store that wants to help you find what you want vs some others that just fill the store with anything and everything so that you will end up buying something before you leave. They showed up an hour after their 4 hour window, dropped off the wrong fridge and did not deliver the microwave at all. They then called me 5 times while I was in church Sunday morning trying to get me to go to the project site on my day off when I don't answer my phone. They went ahead and scheduled delivery for Monday without hearing back from me to THE COMPLETELY WRONG ADDRESS! Delivery 2. I told them I would be at the site on Thursday and they could swap out the correct fridge for incorrect and reminded them about the microwave. They showed up with NIETHER just to pick up the incorrect fridge. They did not trust me enough to send out my fridge until the other one was physically back in their warehouse or something...as if I was trying to steal the fridge or something. Baffling. Delivery 3. They showed up a hair early actually, which can be a hassle itself but they brought the fridge. Hooray! ... and it showed up open box. Why? Ill find out tomorrow if anything is missing. Picked the microwave up myself. I wish I could say this is my only sour experience with Lowes delivery but its not. This is just the worst one so far and the straw that broke the camel's back. Will be unlikely to use the store at all anymore let alone delivery due to this experience. I usually spend tens of thousands a year at home stores for my project houses and I'll gladly spend it somewhere that treats me with respect. read more

My girlfriend and I order a KitchenAid gas range in white from this store. It was back ordered 2 weeks. Which was fine because most stores do not carry white anymore. The 2 weeks came and went. No called us to tell us it was back ordered an additional 3 weeks. We ended up finding this out when I called them. So I asked to be compensated for the error. The store manager that evening said i would receive 200 dollars off the order. Which i was satisfied with completely. I had to call a 3rd time because the deadline came and went. It was back ordered again for 2 more weeks. After we received the oven finally a month had pasted. When I received my first bill. No mark off was represented on the statement. So I called the manage back again. This time I spoke to a different manager which told me in a very snarky and condescending manner he would not honor this previous agreement. Today my husband rented a carpet cleaner from the Schererville Indiana Lowes location. We paid a 30 dollar deposit and was told if we will return it in the same condition we would receive it back. My husband had pointed out that it looked a little dirty and the woman told him as long as it's back in the same or better condition. We cleaned it at home BEFORE use and AFTER use. My husband went to return the carpet cleaner after and they refused to refund us the deposit. She said it was "too dirty" my husband stated that it's in better condition than the way we received it! She argued with him that he was wrong. Ultimately my husband had enough of being rudely spoken to and left. I called the store and asked for the deposit back as we obeyed the contract and returned it in better condition. Beth from the schererville store told me "she doesn't have time for this" and put me on hold for 7 minutes when she came back she said she pulled out her cleaning supplies she used to clean it from the garbage. I told her I hand cleaned it and my home is a new build so there was absolutely 0 way it was dirty. The only reason we rented it was because I am pregnant and we wanted the nursery to be even fresher. I am 7 months pregnant and HAND cleaned it before return in the bath tub. She was so rude to me and made me cry. I asked to speak to a manager and she said he'd call me back because they were in a meeting. About 4-5 hours later I get a call from a manager named Michael, he asked me what happened and then had the audacity to say my husband and I were lying. I told him to pull the cameras and look how we recieved it this morning and after we returned it and compare, he stated he did- I asked for the footage because I am telling the truth. He told me I can't see the footage. He told me there was nothing he'd do for me and I'm never getting our money back. I am disgusted with lowes and how you treat your customers. read more

This location had a great deal on (No kink)water hoses that my mom really needed. Also, I looked at lighting fixtures for her basement ceiling. Great selection of drop chain and fixed lighting. The assocate was very well versed on lighting and helped my mom put together a plan remodel her old light fixture. The store is fairly, new so all items I noticed were well stocked I also like that sales taxes are lower in Indiania than IL, so that is a good reason to recommend this Lowes for great selection of garden, light fixture options. read more

On the plus side, they had TONS of employees milling about. The bad news is, not one of them EVER offered any amount of assistance. I would not recommend Lowes, we spent over $10,000 on new flooring. The installation company they use is absolutely horrible. The foremen on the job Brian will ask you for extra $ to do work instead of paying Lowes. They will steal stuff from your home, they will NOT install the flooring according to the manufactures instruction possibly voiding my warranty, They will break stuff they move, They will NOT reinstall the toilet they removed, They will not reinstall doors, Brian will continue to say " your handy, you can finish that". Then I asked if there was someone else I could speak to you and she said and I quote "no there is no one else." I went to guest service and waited in line for her to say that they will call someone up. I waited two more minutes and someone finally came. Nick was his name. He didn't greet me or acknowledge me at all. He made a key, but it wasn't the type that I wanted because he never asked me, so he had to remake it. My ordeal started in October 2018. Why did I ever go to Lowes? My first time and last. I ordered Vertical blinds, they wouldn't close all the way, so Lowes ordered another set of blinds. Those didn't close completely. A manager was supposed to come and evaluate the situation which never happened. In stead the same installer came out and took 2 photos. Haven't heard back since. terrible customer service. This is a defective blind and I expect Lowes to rectify the matter immediately. I certainly will never go back to Lowes for anything. We were already questioning shopping at this location of Lowe's-dingy, poor selection, very little customer service, but found ourselves in the strip mall shortly before Christmas. Ran in to get some additional lights for our underlit tree, took them home and they didn't work. Tried to return them (with receipt) a few weeks later, and were told we couldn't get a refund due to the lights being a holiday item. My husband and I visited this location last night. We were unable to find the light bulbs we were looking for (I assume it was due to the seriously understocked shelves). The store also seemed understaffed as it took a few minutes to find an employee to help us. There was another item I was looking for. I had looked online prior to going to this location to make sure they would have it (there was supposed to be 7 in Stock). His response when I asked him where it would be, "oh we don't have any more of those. Someone came in yesterday looking for one too." I told him the online site said there were 7 and his response was "our inventory must be off". Off by 7, really?? We don't usually shop at Lowes, but it's the closest Hardware Store to our house. I was just not impressed with our overall experience and I don't plan to return. I'd rather drive a farther distance to Home Depot where the staff is friendly and helpful and they know how to manage their inventory. read more
