The only main reason I am writing this is because of the associate in store #0682. His name is Lee D. and he is in the tool department. I was wandering around with massive list with NO idea where anything was. I asked him for his help and he went ABOVE and BEYOND. We went through my list and not only did he tell me every aisle each item was on, but he helped research and locate an item that should have been in tools but ended up in the flooring department. He went with me to locate it and I could not be more thankful. He never seemed put out or annoyed I had so many questions or items to find and genuinely seemed happy to help. Worse customer service bob in garden was great but no longer there. The lady in garden cashier for years is great but everyone else awful. I ordered online garden supplies support to be ready. Get there and told to go to garden pick up where all mulch is. I said are you sure because I always get the blocks in back and he says yes. Wait forever in line by mulch to be told I have to go in back the original place I asked about and was told no. I go back there and wait 10 minutes for an order that was supposed to be ready and the young guy with awful customer service said he called someone. Yet nobody there locked up and all the guys were with him in mulch. When I said I was told to come up to him he said the guy in customer service was clueless. Dry u professional. I called up about 3 times while waiting in the back and by the time someone answers the was so mad I yelled. I use to wonder why they had a sign up front about treating the employees with recover when I use to live talking to them and they were so helpful nice and courteous. Not anymore. I returned everything and will go to the local Walmart where it's cheaper anyway. Shame on Lowe's. Mart at customer service didn't even care to ask why I was returning and never retuning again. If you go, not too many are helpful. But spring is around the corner. Go and buy perennials, save the container, tag and receipt. When next winter rolls around return all the perennials. Lowe's gives a year to return them. This way you always have beautiful floral arrangements in your yard. A lot won't survive anyway. read more

I visited Lowes Home Improvement in Shallotte, NC looking for a very hard to find flower pot. The website said they had 1 in the store, but when I got there, it wasn't where they said it would be. I went to the returns desk and they contacted Sue in Gardening. She looked at her inventory app and it said they didn't have one. I was very disappointed. So, I went back to shopping thinking that it was done deal. However, Sue didn't forget about me. She checked some other places in the store and found the last one (within 50 miles) chasing me with this information. Sure enough, they had the pot I was looking for. I cannot thank Sue enough for being persistent and not moving on to the next person. In my professional life, I've interviewed 100s of people (not HR) and it is very rare to find someone that is so engaged, caring, and attentive as Sue was with me. Lowes should be honored to have her at their store and need to do everything possible to make sure she's happy and stays there. read more

recently had tile flooring purchased and installed by lowes. immediately we had installed a pool table and a bar on top of flooring so flaws in each tile was not seen until the room was complete. the flooring vendor was "perfection flooring". we couldn't replace the flooring at this point because of the bar built into walls but we wanted some compensation for the obvious flaw. went up the chain from floor manager to store manager to division manager to no avail. i will never shop at lowes again and please beware if you purchase any flooring that it's not from perfection. we reached out to them and they were not very nice and wouldn't offer a resolution. this is the lowes in southport north carolina. i am appalled at the lack of customer service at lowes and the treatment we have received. read more

I have been going to Lowes at least twice a week since I moved to this area. Once I heard that they fired a 12 year employee (at a different location) for trying to stop thieves from stealing $2000.00 worth of merchandize. She was punched in the face numerous times by the dirtbags. For her efforts she was fired, because Lowes is afraid of a lawsuit. I will never step foot in a Lowes again. They can keep their veteran's discount. Time to support local business. read more

Lowes will not stand behind their promises. They sold me on a roof. This store used sublet workers that showed up on mopeds. After they finished new roof, ceiling in master bedroom fell in on first rain. Major damage to three other rooms. I called lowes and they said they were not responsible and I would have to deal with their subpar sublet workers. Long story short I got a lawyer. They gave me some money back after about a year of letters and court dates. Do not waste your time with lowes. Get a reputable roofer like roof maker. They put a great roof on our house after lowes roof failed. read more

This was a decent Lowe's. I like going to these kind of places in more sparsely populated areas because they still have a lot of the good clearance items. I was able to get clearance Hibiscuses for $2.99 each. What a deal! I think they were normally $15. I got four of them for our deck. Other than that, this store was nothing special. There were a ton of sales clerks just standing around not doing anything, which didn't seem to efficient, but I guess it's better than not having anyone around to help you out! read more

We bought a refrigerator from Lowe's in Southport. When we got it home we found that there was some damage to the bottom corner of it. We called Randy, the manager on duty and told him about it. He checked into it and made the whole deal better. He called back the next time he was on duty to check and make sure that we were still happy with it which was really going beyond the usual level of care. Kudos to Randy. read more

Went on line two times in past week----first looking for polished nickel drain kit for a bath tub---web site indicated SP lowes had 7 or 8 in stock-so drove out and they (clerk looked for 20 minutes) and they had zero--nada-nilche---so had to drive to wilmington lowes to get. Second looking for rat trap--large mouse like trap---web indicated they had 28 in stock----went to buy and agin none in the store--waited for 20 to 25 minutes while staff looked for the traps. Went to ACE hardware in SP and they had & was in & out in 5 minutes. Lowes is going to hell--they better wake up. I'm now shopping Ace for my hardware needs. read more

Worst customer service dealing with assistant manager Lance G was told store manager was on vacation and unable to give customers any other supervisors names!!! Washer and dryer left on porch due to difficulties with fitting thru door I understand that. So husband and I installed washer returned dryer bought a smaller one supposed to be delivered on Sunday well someone called the wrong number no answer so cancelled my delivery I called to find out when they were delivering and was informed it was cancelled and why when I tried to explain this was the only day we could be home I was told sorry no other assistance WOW I will now drive to shallotte and deal with Home Depot 071117 update Lance the assistant manager said they would pick up my washer they left on the front porch Monday well it's Tuesday after 5 pm shocking the washer is still here on the porch!! read more

Do NOT custom order anything from Lowes of Southport! Everything I have ordered has either been wrong or damaged! After 18 months I am still waiting for them to get my kitchen cabinets right! Wish there were a zero star rating. Went in the store and placed an order and purchased 100 bags of mulch on a Friday to be delivered on Monday. It didn't happen. Didn't get a call. Had to call them and after repeated promises that it would be delivered, I finally received the order a week after purchase. They either lie about the status or they're not communicating with each other to fulfill the customers order. I've never experienced such awful service from any Lowes and am shocked that this is allowed to occur. read more

Do not, I repeat, do not buy any major appliances from this store. I purchased an LG dishwasher in April. It is now July and it is sitting in my kitchen broken after two service calls, one of which was to replace the entire circuit board. I spoke to the manager at Lowes who insisted I contact LG to schedule another service call. I told him I have already had it serviced twice by LG and it is obvious I bought a lemon. He said it can not be exchanged for a new one until LG issues an RA number. "Lowes wont take the hit for a new dishwasher" is what he said. So I contacted LG for the third time and it is now 36 hours later and I have still not received a call back. Customer service is non-existent at this store. Buyer beware. Do not shop at Lowes, and most importantly, do not buy LG appliances, especially a dishwasher. read more

I live in Oak Island and Lowe's is the nearest large hardware store and have purchased many items based solely on location. Customer service is horrible for the most part and they very seldom will ask if you need assistance. I joked a couple weeks ago that I won the lottery because after 15 minutes they allowed me to purchase a $450.00 grill. When I asked for something to wrap my new grill in the sales person said I could purchase cardboard boxes or bubble wrap. Needless to say I did not purchase the grill from Lowes. This is not the first unpleasant shopping experience at the Southport Lowes. Now I always check out Oak Island Hardware first. read more

Ordered carpet from Southport Lowe's figuring it would be easy to deal with a big box store versus a smaller player. Boy, was I WRONG!!! Carpet arrived at the warehouse when expected and was scheduled for installation about 2 weeks later. I received a call the day before letting me know there was a scheduling conflict and the install needed to be bumped back a day- no problem. The install day finally arrived. Two men showed up, and began to work (I walked across the street). About 45 minutes later I get a phone call. The installers had to leave because a freak rainstorm came up and the carpet got wet the man said. Funny- I'm across the street and it's sprinkling, but I certainly wouldn't call it a "freak rainstorm." The man said they are going to dry the carpet and come back the next day to finish (but did they ever start). The next day (Wednesday, day 3 for those keeping score) came with a early morning phone call: The carpet is still too wet and it will not seam so we can't install it yet the man said. We'll try again tomorrow between 9-11am. Thursday rolls around and a different man shows up to install the carpet. He says- They told me this was a fresh install. I can't finish someone's project. This guy proceeds to tell me I was lied to- that the carpet didn't get wet, but that the original guys messed up the first cut and the carpet is patterned so, it will only seam one way, so they told me it got wet and split. Looks like I'm running out of room- When the carpet eventually gets installed TWO WEEKS LATER, the guy who did the install did a pretty good job. Will I ever hire Lowe's again? DO NOT BUY CARPET AT LOWES. We bought carpet over a month ago. The sublet to Legacy Flooring to install. Was supposed to have carpet installed 4/26/17, Legacy called and cancelled because some guy called off. Rescheduled for next day THEY CANCELLED AGAIN. Van broke down. Meanwhile, my living room is cleaned out and waiting. Called managers at lowes and complained to get this resolved. Legacy said they can install on may 15th, (2 weeks later) uh like NOT. Either get here tomorrow or we are cancelling. Assistant Manager was supposed to call back to try to get this right by 4pm, and he never called back. Cancelled the order. this lowes is not being stocked or managed. a 2 star is being nice. the parking lot is good. but if you want to get something there, the pickings are really, really bad. empty spots on shelves etc. not a whole lot to buy. should not be that way since there are tons of people living and moving there. just laziness. hire more people. read more

I have been a regular patron of Lowe's Southport for 20 years, and in that time I can count on hand the times they haven't done exactly as they said they would, and each time that did happen it was due to circumstances beyond their control. They have always made it right. Just today I needed a cooker as mine blew out first thing this morning, and with guests coming over tonight it was a problem. I called Lowe's and JD was extremely helpful, had what I needed, coordinated a delivery to help save time, and it was done. The delivery guy even carried the cooker for me, and this was al on a Sunday morning! Great people and great service. Highly recommend. read more
