Let me start by saying everyone was very nice, but they were so understaffed. I only saw two very hard working women the entire time. It was busy and we couldn't wait for help so we had to leave. There were no prices on inventory and not much info on the plants so you had to look everything up on your phone, if you could get service. The golf carts were nice for getting around....but they seriously needed more help today, may try again. read more

Just spent the morning tooling around this little gem, I must say them have a wonderful selection, some more annuals would be nice however the amount of trees and shrubs is astonishing. Riding the golf cart around at your leisure is a plus, my only complaint is that nothing is marked and nothing is priced so have no clue what your paying until you get to the counter and that's simply not acceptable. I'm a friend of the owners son who stopped by a couple weeks ago just to do some looking and I was very satisfied with the customer service from Courtney, and Mr. Mark that I ended up purchasing quiet a few things from there. They have a very broad selection of beautiful plants and flowers as well as some trees to choose from. Mr. Phillips, I can't afford to drive 90 minutes round-trip on the chance you have, probably, a $50 dollar purchase. Over the last few weeks, I have left multiple voice messages with no response. I was promised a call back on the rare occasion someone answered. No call back. I did not email you, sorry. I've always gone out of our way to consider Phillips, first. I purchased 8 incrediball hydrangea's last spring - $65 each for gallon size and 6 of the 8 did not make it through winter and 2 are OK at best. Not good! This was over $500 in perennial plantings that should have been a terrific investment into my beddings for the future - otherwise I would have just purchased annuals. I live at Compass Pointe, we have irrigation, fertilized, and maintained them through the Fall - only for them not to make it. Very disappointing. I just called Phillips Nursery asking if they would stand behind their products, the associate said they only guaranteed their plants through the end of the week they were purchased! Last year I spent over $1000 with Phillips including purchasing Emerald Green Arborvitaes for privacy. Service during the sell was good at best - now a year later, the product & the service both are very disheartening. I had such a wonderful experience and found two trees to help my desert of a front yard get some shade. on my second trip, another wonderful experience. I got the Oleander bushes and found some Chiffon blue rose of Sharon and some gorgeous butterfly bushes and a bird bath that has neighbors and tourist stopping and asking where I bought it! Don't let some of the negative reviews keep you from making the trip. The plants are well taken care of and prices are reasonable. read more

they are a little pricey, but you do get what you pay for, I purchased a live oak and it is growing beautifully, I also got tips to help the tree thrive, I will definitely be a repeat customer when I am looking to replace bushes I purchased from Lowes Hardware (they continue to die every two years) read more

The selection of plants is terrific. You ride around in a golf cart pick your shrubs or take a photo and bring it to the office for pricing. Knowing what you need before you go helps and allows the staff to give to pricing options. Once you make your selection you can tag the plants and have them delivered or take them with you. If help is needed there always someone at the office who will get you assistance. There selection is five star. read more

What a beautiful nursery! All the plants were just beautiful, well watered, and well maintained. Didn't have any problems with any staff, and they even went so far as to turn off the irrigation in the grasses area were were looking. The only drawback was the fact that our purchase was check or cash. I haven't travelled with my checkbook in 25 years, since my bank card is accepted everywhere. However, down the road was an ATM, so that did the trick. I would definitely go out of my way again (Ocean Isle Beach) to shop at this top notch place. read more

Terrible customer service! The owner is a cranky old goat who can be extremely rude if you come back to the office to ask where specific plants might be located. The varieties of plants are great but you won't find anyone in sight to guide you or help you lift a heavy container. Nothing is priced. If lack of professionalism is what you are excepting, you found just the place. There are many other local nurseries that you can support. read more
