Good store, always kept neat and clean, customer service is a hit and miss, depending on who you get to assist you. I was lucky to have Sargon helping me the other day from the appliances department, who went way above and beyond to help us with our purchase. He helped us pick the right choice, made the right recommendations and fully knows his products. Wow. lots has changed with Lowes since they first opened. I remember you would go to the "other place" to be literally left alone and Lowes would not let you walk 3 feet without asking if you needed help. Yeh, that may have been a bit too much, today Loews proved they can snob me with the best of them. So this now makes Lowes a Mainstream store right? I went looking for a drill bit chuck and never found anyone to help despite the associate who noticed I could not find what I wanted. No, I did not press for Help as he was already there!! So I left, oddly I found it on line at a store that I did not know sold hardware. The time before, I went to Lowes, pressed the "Help" button in one of the isles and got someone who wanted to finish what they were doing and rushed me along by telling me they didn't have the item, which I later found at the same store but had to go home and research the item first. So, I wrote this little review of Lowes to share my recent experiences with them, and how different they are today (or the same, depending how you look at this). What I did learn is that I now can go to the bookstore on line and get what I want and probably for less. Thanks for ignoring me, I'm proving to be handier than I thought without you! read more

In this week's flyer for the Vaughn Canada store, you have a Blue Star Juniper $12.99 and a Globe Cedar $16.49, on sale until April 03,2018. I tried to check availability online but items were not listed. Today April 2, 2018, I drove to your Vaughn store, 25 km round trip. I was told that the items were not in stock, and have not been, here, or at any other store. I was told that 300 would be delivered later in the week. I asked, as the sale was ending tomorrow April 03, 2018, would the sale end date be extended. The person telephoned his manager, who advised that the sale end date would not be extended. To summarize, you advertise product you do not have, and you will only have the items when they are not on sale. Please advise if my interpretation is incorrect read more

Went there last Sunday could've blown a cannon down the middle of the store. No employees anywhere for 6 rows. Finally found one but he was talking to someone else for at least 10 minutes about the weather. Finally went up to service desk where 3 employees are helping one customer! Finally someone looked up and asked me what I wanted. I wanted help in the gate hardware section and she tells me to go to aisle 10. I said I know where it is but the employee there is busy talking about the weather to someone. She pages someone and gets an answer back that someone is there. On Friday August 30th I ordered online 4 patio cushions. I went Saturday August 31st to the Vaughan location (100 Edgeley) to pick up the items - this store was not close to where I live but my ordered was confirmed and that this was the closest location with the items - when I arrived no one could find my order. I was then told 'oh we were just about to call you - we only have two - would you like two?'. No one offered to locate more from another store, I had to ask. She said that the location in east Gwillumbury has five. Easy Gwillumbury was an hour in the opposite direction I just came from to pick up my order. I then had to ask her to call, confirm they have them and ask them to put them aside. She had the call in front of me in which she then said, they only have 3. So she cancelled my order, I purchased one at that store, and she said they said they'd place the 3 at customer service in east Gwillumbury. I drove an hour to east Gwillumbury and when I asked for my order they said 'we don't have those anymore. We told them that last night'. I told her that they just called and she just kept repeating that she told them last night they didn't have any. When another woman came over she said 'they're just going to cancel the order and refund you it's fine'. How she spoke to me was pretty clear that this was my problem. It was completely disregarded that they were sending me all over the place. I had to ask for the customer service and continuously try to problem solve this myself. No one had offered to even locate or send me what I ordered. They just sent me around everywhere. I had contacted online support who responded " Please be assured that I have recorded your concerns in our system and will make certain that they come to the attention of the correct channels. I will now be closing this case and marking it as resolved." This is not remotely resolved and another indication of complete neglect and poor customer service. Super helpful staff at this location. I was looking for something specific and there was no shortage of help. I went to the customer service desk to ask a question. The associate went over and above, and paged the store expert in the area to come to customer service to assist me. The gentleman then proceeded to explain the differences between the products and when I might use what...Anyways, it sounds cryptic, but the guy helped me choose dimmer switches. Word to the wise, installing those things is harder than it looks, but the staff here are great and really know their stuff! read more

Bought a simple medicine cabinet for a handyman to install, but was missing pieces. Bought another, and this one is damaged in it's box. Inexcusable. I think the employees must be playing soccer with the merchandise. Won't be getting my business any longer, there are better stores nearby that don't stock damaged merchandise. read more
