Stephanie was courteous and efficiently handled my request after matching the model numbers to ensure the product was the same. I also mentioned Lowe's was advertising a Lowe's gift card for online orders, so she verified and took care of that, too; and she advised me to wait for notification when my order was ready for pick up after making payment. Received notification on 1/20, and went the next day. Checked in on the app as I waited in the Customer Service line; and Kimmie, in Fulfillment, came forward a short time later with the item in a cart ready for me to take. I told her about my concern that I might have been charged twice since early that morning, I saw a charge come through again. Exceptional customer service from her with my item and answering my question. After putting the item in my vehicle, I remembered the bath fan was now on sale, so decided to check if I could get the lower sale price. The Customer Service representative who helped me (unfortunately, I didn't get her name) was able to give me the lower price, and the refund was reflected back on my card later that day. I also checked my credit card transactions and noticed a credit negating the double charge. Impressed with customer service on 1/14 and 1/21 at the Waipahu Lowe's store. Went in today with my husband to exchange greenworks electric power washer 2500 due to the machine having defective parts. We bought it 1 week ago and figured exchanging it due to defects should not be a problem. We brought the item back at went to returns and exchanges customer service. We were greeted and told it would be faster if we take ourselves and grab the new item then come back to do the exchange. We did that, then were told at the register by the same worker, that the item was not eligible for an exchange due to it not being purchased and returned within 48 HOURS. We bought it 1 week ago, brought it back in original packaging and with the receipt. What's the issue?? She called her manager MARIA to assist and possible get an override. We waited some time for MARIA to show up, and at this point we had a long line behind us. When MARIA showed up, she disregarded the customer in line including myself and husband. She spoke very disrespectfully to the other worker and asked if she could use a register. Which then she logged on and said "what's wrong with this one" in a rude tone. She did not help assist, and visibly looked like she hated her job and did not want to be there. In my opinion? You can leave sis. Don't show up to work in customer service everyday if you obviously hate your job. We were told we need to go through the manufacturer themselves and get the "approval" before we can come back and get our item reissued. This is bullshit lol and the workers here are a legitimate joke. For future customers? I would stick to city mill and Home Depot. You'll get top of the line service at other companies with the same quality of product. read more

Can y'all just shut this place down and bring back my beloved Sports Authority. Please. After my horrific experience with their Cashier a few years ago, I was in desperate need of soil... just soil. I decided to run in before work and look for a particular potting soil that their app showed they had an abundance of. I can't find it. I look in the area the app said it would be in, it's not there. Went to Lowe's Home Improvement Waikele branch. Lots of parking in the parking lot . I went there to look for some gardening supplies for my yard because when I checked online they said they had some pots that I could use. Unfortunately when I walked their garden department they didn't have any. When I asked an employee for help he responded that he only does "Plants". I asked the cashier about purchasing the exchange tanks for propane. She had to call someone to check if they had any (although online they showed 253). She directed me to the self checkout at the front of the store to purchase and pick up. Cashiers up there were swamped with customers and told me they would call someone to help me get my tanks exchanged. It took a while but they finally got it done . Their pricing is inline with other home improvement stores on island. Nice store too bad about the service level. read more

Ultimate craft spot... Since forever I like to do craft and with places like Lowe's it's taken to the next level that I couldn't imagine like my Dremel...as I used to go to my secret spot to find shells I do use them for various project that requires for me to drill holes into them and some craft places do have drills but it's for basic simple items not the hard and sometimes thick shells we have here in Hawai'i. They do have an app that really helps me to find what I'm looking for without driving to multiple locations or asking customer service to check for me is the convenience that's more than amazing. On this visit they did have an item that I've been searching for quite awhile that only they have and had it in stock...thankfully and if it's that important I'd recommend that you do purchase them online for a store pick up which is completely free and does secure the items as well. This Waikele Shopping location is nice as they lots and lots of free parking which is just steps away from their doors though is massive but the staff is very helpful and friendly that has me getting on my way just as fast as I ordered it. This is my favorite place to buy plants, mostly starter herbs, as they rotate fast here. I love the location and its accessibility AND that you don't have to go into the actual store for anything (unless you want to) as all your gardening supplies are in one place. The plants are separated by how you're supposed to plant them and where according to sun exposure, more, less, shade, no shade, etc. Big plants, small plants, big pots, small pots, half wine barrels, wheel barrows, shovels, hoes, trowels, pavers, it's just a gardener's delight here. There's also a great selection of soil to replant from regular potting mix to orchid mix and all the fertilizer you'll need for the season. All the plants are healthy, I've never had to return anything or been disappointed with the advice I've been given. You can literally park within twenty feet of the entrance/exit and the usually have the boxes to carry away all your little baby plants in. Pets are welcome, another reason I like to frequent this store. read more

The 90 day return policy is not fair to the customer or the community they do business in. I bought 6 posts and had my receipt in hand upon returning them-they would not refund me or give me store credit because it was over 90 days. I even spoke to the manager! The merchandise is basic stock they carry all the time and being sold on the shelf to customers. The posts are not on the list of items they do not accept returns on. In the future - boycott Lowe's for not putting their customer and community first! Foot traffic and sales at Lowe's is dwindling compared to Home Depot. Where is Lowe's used to be very good with returns especially if you're a good customer and you return things with the receipt and all well those days are gone. Lowe's gives everyone a hard time to return anything they stick to the 90-day. With which to return things and will not take things back if you don't have a receipt and even if you do they find some other reason not to take their things back I was even told today that oh because we don't carry a certain item anymore we cannot return it even though it was just a few months ago. I'll be checking to see if Home Depot is still doing that because I'm not going to be shopping at Lowe's anymore. I have renovation projects and sometimes I don't gather the things to be returned that weren't used until the end of the project so this is very inconvenient for me. read more

I'm sitting here trying to call Lowe's while reading Yelp reviews. As I type this the phone has been ringing for 7 mins with nobody answering. At any job, we always answered the phone by the 3rd ring, regardless if we had to put them on hold. Believe all of the negative reviews and more. I purchased a whirlpool fridge last week because the Samsung that I had was recalled. I noticed the new fridge door handles are uneven and noticed it's because the doors are uneven. Also the fridge rolls every time I close it. I did point this out to the delivery guys (the rolling part) and was told when I put things in the fridge the weight would stop it from rolling. Makes sense right? Well it did not. It still rolls. Anyway, coming up on 13 mins with nobody answering the phone. Unbelievable. Seriously, is it that hard to answer the phone? Does Lowe's even look at reviews? Probably not. Ok, so instead of the ringing sound, it's now playing music so I am connected, oh wait it went to ringing. Now it sounds like someone answered the phone and put me on hold. WTH. Honestly I don't think Lowe's cares. Hold on, I'm going to screen record. Now 15 mins. It's recording. Last night, we noticed that the buttons on our microwave wasn't working. My husband researched the best brand and deal at Lowe's. The website states exactly where the item is. Great! Except it wasn't in that location. We go to the appliance department and see three employees sitting down by the register. Now why are there chairs at the registers? We ask one of them and he casually says, oh, it's right there and points a stack of boxes. He walks away so my husband and I look at it and decide to get it. The box won't fit in a cart so my husband gets the rolling flat bed. Took him about 5 minutes to find one. In the meantime, I look at the washing machines and hear the three employees continue to sit and talk story. My husband returns and I help him load the microwave on the flat bed. We leave the department and head to the checkout. We decided to do self checkout. I had a hard time finding the upc code but this super friendly cashier came to our rescue and assisted us. I didn't catch her name but she was a petite girl. I told my husband that if she worked in the appliance department, they would make a killing (in sales), but then she is needed at the front too. I would have given this review only one star if it wasn't for the cashier in the front. One star for the appliance department and five stars for the cashier. Management: walk the sales floor and correct this! And remove the dang chairs! read more

Although it wasn't his department, without hesitation he helped me!!! I was in a panic and in a rush since my plumber was in the middle of servicing my house after hours at $250/hour. I live nearby and I frequently purchase at this location. I am surprised the Yelp ratings are low for Lowes. I've had consistently good service at this store. Been coming to the Waikele Lowe's for years and due to a kitchen and bath remodel I've been going to the home improvement stores frequently I had to post that this store's Customer service has improved dramatically. Last week I was looking for flooring and an associate walked up to me before I even need help. My husband even mentioned that it was rare not to have to look around for help as we have to at the competition. Later another associate helped me to check inventory and as I was looking for the samples to bring home he even marked out a plank as a sample for me to bring home. Last week we also went in for a microwave. Went to 3 places and this store was the only one that had it in stock. It was $10 more than the lowest prices store who told me it was back ordered but $30 less than the other big box competitor. I'm so happy to see a store that can manage to attract and train good employees! read more

Now in the past I've NEVER had a problem with Lowe's. Their selection is pretty ample and satisfactory. Quality is what you'd expect, if you know the item and company that you're purchasing. In stock items are usually okay, unless there is some "blow-out" sale. Price is a little better than City Mill, but competitive with home depot. Now comes the separating feature...service (or lack of) is very sporadic. Some days, not bad, others, can't seem to get any help. Now, I'm a vet, limping with pain, (VERY OBVIOUS), and I stop an employee today, between the restroom and cashiers. A short guy, about 40+, about 9:45 am, and my approach was "QUICK question...". Before I could finish my sentence, he cut me off by saying: "I didn't sign in yet". WOW!!! I DIDN'T KNOW THAT YOU HAD TO BE "PUNCHED IN" BEFORE YOU ANSWER A CUSTOMER'S QUESTION!!! WHAT A GREAT REFLECTION UPON THE COMPANY, IT'S SERVICE, AND APPRECIATION OF IT'S CUSTOMERS. i guess MY management beliefs all these years must be "prehistoric". A sign of the times??? Go figure. Customer service at Lowe's is the absolute worst. When I went to make payment for the installation of the security door, the sales person didn't know how to process the order in the computer, so after 30 min, another sales person had to take over. Come to find out, the first sales person had inputted $400 for the install but it only costs $40. He put one too many zeros! It took 1 hr 15 min just to pay for the door installation, so I was late for my appointment. Ridiculous! I also needed to purchase a lock for the door and get it rekeyed, but they told me only 1 person at Lowe's is trained to do that and she wasn't working that day, so I had to come back another day. I called ahead for her work schedule, but when I went back, they told me she was on break so I'd have to wait for 15 min. Out of the entire store, why can't they train another employee to rekey locks?!? So the customer has to work around 1 employee's schedule?!? Avail ridiculous!!! They really have good sales on appliances . But during the ending of November me and my mom went. It was busy. We waited for about an hour to get called as we put our name on the list. And majority all their appliances sold out so we have to wait for a month to put an order in for a new fridge. Received the fridge 3 weeks later. 7-15-22 When we first moved to Mililani decades ago we used to come quite often but the past couple years we come to get filters for our refrigerator. Usually I insert the new filter but this time hubs did. He says it's not working. Voila! I showed him the reset button on the front panel. It's the closest place for us especially since Sears went kaputs soon after we had it delivered and installed from them. Located in Waikele close to Safeway. My handicap elderly husband had to load bags of 80 lb cement mix on his own and no staff was there to assist him. let there be light. We stopped at this location on New Year's Eve in search of a lamp (no, not the genie type). Thankfully, their lighting section had a decent selection and variety of lamps and lamp shades. After looking thru all the types and selection of lamps on display, we found one with a base that we liked. We didn't care for the shade that was attached so we looked through the stock that was on display. Fortunately, the bases and shades are tagged with a product number that you can match to the stock on the shelves below the displays. We attached various styles and sizes of lamp shades before we were finally satisfied with one that we liked. Aside from the lamp, we also picked up some light bulbs for our new lamp. They have a wide selection of choices, I'm sure one will be able to find what they want or need. We used the self-check out and we were on our way. NOTES 1. Ample parking available in the lot. But this is for his caring and understanding and hard work. I wanted to give a shout out to the wonderful amazing and friendly sales associate Micheal in appliances. He was very helpful and answered my many burning questions when I bought my appliances over the Fourth of July week. He was very patient and did not rush me and gave me time to review and make decisions. He really made things very helpful for me and my mom when we came in. He took the time to actually have a conversation about what I needed in appliances. He is also very funny and easy going. He truly went above and beyond.
