Stopped by to look for clearance plants and found a few still alive. Since the outdoor checkout only had 1 single worker assigned to it and a line of 7+ customers, I decided to press my luck inside at self check out. There was no line inside so I walk up and scan my clearance plants which ring up full price. I asked the 50 year old worker to help me discount the items. He asked if I knew the price. I said no I just knew they were on clearance and had a sharpie through the price tag. He said that I had to walk back there and get a picture of the price or had to tell him the actual price. I just turned and left my cart there. Never have I been treated so poorly. Not getting anymore of my business. Ill drive elsewhere. Happened 4/23 around 315pm. Never have I had to do that before at lowes. The clerk usually just scans their employee card and puts the discount on. Must have been too much for him to do. Saga finally ended today with the delivery AND INSTALL of my unit. Of course there was a scratch on it that the installers said they pointed out to Lowe's personnel before leaving the warehouse - but apparently it was the only one in stock, so they brought it to see what I would say. I was able to call and get things resolved with manager, Jessica. She took more money off and I let the guys install the stove because I didn't feel like waiting another 10 days to 2 weeks for replacement or exchange. For all the money I got off the unit I guess it was worth it since I essentially just paid to have it installed. All in all it was definitely an adventure and I'm glad it's over folks. We had a very bad experience with Lowe's Waldorf Md.. we bought a dishwasher (stainless Steel). Had it delivered and installed Cost:$569.44 After using it once we found many flaws but tried to overlook them tried again and were very unhappy!Having an account with the store we decided to return the dishwasher and try a GE brand with a black front (no stainless steel) we were told we had to return it in 48 hours and we had it more than a week. We asked for the manager who said since we had an account there we could return it and buy the other dishwasher. When the first dishwasher was returned to the store they would refund the money . We bought and payed for the black front dishwasher but they said they didn't have one in the store and they would-call us when it came in .long story short , one month later and after the delivery people came TWICE to pick it up,they couldn't find it . At this point we were finished we cancelled the order and went to Home Depot ordered the same dishwasher and got it in two days delivered and installed. . Problem tho we have to take it back ourselves for a refund. Several weeks ago I scheduled the delivery for an assembled grill for a Saturday working with a Lowe's salesperson. Two days before the delivery I got an alert that the delivery date was changed to Friday. I then used the Lowe's chat to move it to Saturday again. I even received a text the night before confirming that I would receive the grill Saturday morning and providing the 4-hour delivery window of 8-12. So I arranged my schedule to be home for the delivery as required. On Saturday morning I got an email saying the delivery date was changed again to Monday. When I called to understand why the change occurred the manager stated that it had to be delivered on a third party flatbed and they only operated Monday - Friday even though the Lowe's website, salesperson on the phone, and Lowe's chat allowed me to select Saturday. When I spoke to the manager, she made it seem like it was my problem and did not treat me professionally. I now have to take a day off of work to be home when the grill arrives. Had I known the grill could only be delivered Monday - Friday from the start this would have been less disruptive and inconvenient. Given the significant delivery fee I expected more. Lowe's has been known for its great customer service and why I have always gone to them first in the past. However, after this experience I will explore other options first. read more

Went to the Waldorf location after LaPlata was out of stock and the inventory showed 22 at Waldorf. Got there and was eventually able to find an employee to acknowledge us. He looked very confused and said they didn't have the product either but it looked like Clinton had some. We asked if he could confirm before we drove to a third location, and he said "YOU can call and check" Not impressed with the lack of customer service at this location. Side note- LaPlata and Clinton were both great and very helpful! read more

I really hate to give this rating. I have been coming here for 20 years to get all my supplies for my home and my handyman business. But the experience I had today permanently ends that tradition. I went there to get lumber, all of which was on the top shelf. I asked several employees if they could get someone to help me and nothing. A couple of them just walked away. After 20 minutes of waiting I went to the front to speak to a manager. By then I was extremely angry. There were several employees huddled at the front desk but no one offered to help. Finally my partner came into the store and got me to leave. We don't shop at Home Depot for political reasons, so we immediately went to the Lowe's in LaPlata and what a difference! As soon as I was in the aisle I was asked if I needed help. I told the associate what happened at the Waldorf store and he apologized vigorously. When I was loading the lumber into my truck another employee came out and offered to help load. I'm blessed to only have to drive a couple minutes further to the LaPlata Lowes because I will NEVER go to the Waldorf store again. read more

If I could give this store's manager Tracy and Carlos no stars I would. They just don't know how to manage store customer demand. So many customers were in line to do a return but had only one person assigned to do them at the time. In February 2023, my husband and I went to Lowe's Store located in Waldorf, Maryland to inquire about a new air condition (AC) unit. ARS, located in Laurel Maryland, came to our home on March 6, 2023 to install the AC unit. Periodically, I receive calls from ARS representatives to service our new unit, for a cost. I did not feel this was necessary because this was a new unit. Since the weather was changing, I felt we should get it checked to ensure we had enough freon. On April 11, 2024, ARS sent a technician to our home to check our system. He informed me that our unit had frozen coils which was a problem. I was perplexed because this was a new unit!!!!! He told me he could not determine the problem if the AC was running. He charged us the diagnostic fee of $69 and advised us to turn the unit off so it could thaw out. He said within 2-3 days, the unit should be thawed out so we could call for a technician to come back out to diagnose the problem. It was extremely hot and I was concerned because I have a special needs daughter who has allergies and asthma which meant I could not open the windows. However, as advised, I turned off the unit so the coils could thaw out. On Sunday, April 14, 2024, another ARS technician came to the house to assess the problem with AC unit. After checking the unit out, he told us there was a leak in the unit which is why there was no freon. He added freon and put dye in it, so in 2-3 weeks, they could locate the leak. He said he spoke with his manager and, even though the unit was no longer under warranty, he would fix it for free. My husband and I were furious because this was a brand-new AC unit that we just paid off on March 27, 2024. The ARS manager acted as if he was doing us a favor! We felt we were sold a lemon and was not comfortable with getting it repaired. What would the problem be next year? Our last AC unit lasted 25 years and this new unit could barely make it for 1 year!!! We decided to contact the ARS management team to voice our concerns. On Wednesday, May 8, 2024, I received a call from Robin, the Quality Control Manager, who informed me that they received several units with faulty coils and, it appeared we received one of these units. I told her I was not interested in them repairing the unit, but we wanted a new unit because we do not want to be faced with a new issue each year. She assured me she would send a master technician to replace the unit as early as May 8, 2024; if not, they would definitely be out the next day. I told her we were receiving higher than usual electric bills due to the broken system. She told me she would provide her email address so I could send the bills to her and she would also extend our warranty. On the afternoon of May 8th, an ARS representative called to tell me that they would not be able to come out that day but would send someone out on May 9, 2024. An ARS technician came out and told us the freon was bubbling in the unit and we would need to pay to have it repaired. Since May 9th, we have heard nothing from ARS. They have not returned our calls, replaced our AC unit or made good on any of their promises. WE RECEIVED A $10,000 LEMON!!!!!!! ARS is a Lowe's contractor and I purchase this defective AC unit through Lowe's. I've been a customer of Lowe's since 2012 and have used them to install windows, a roof, floors and to renovate my bathrooms and kitchen. However, I've been getting the run around from them. ARS and Lowe's keep referencing a warranty but that DOES NOT and CANNOT apply to defective equipment. It is SHAMEFUL for big businesses to take advantage of hard working people. I plan to dissolve my relationship with both companies after exposing them!!! read more

I feel really bad for the people working here right now. They're understaffed and probably overworked, as well. It took us nearly two hours to get our curbside pickup. The first 45 minutes was me trying to get connected to the curbside pickup rep on the phone to let them know I was here. Simultaneously, my husband waited at the customer service line inside and never moved. When I finally got ahold of someone, her customer service was terrible. But I can hardly blame her. They refunded me my money and sent another grill which was the wrong grill. Called Lowes after being on hold for 1.5 hours they admitted mistake and assured me they will be sending correct grille. I purchased 2 major kitchen appliances from Lowes and one was delivered damaged. Never heard from Lowes so I called. No one would answer the phone. So I gave it one last shot the next day. Some of the worse customer service I've ever encountered. Especially at the front checkout. One cashier in particular is a older lady that always seems offended that someone checks out at her register. I challenged a shelf price and she told me that since it's ringing up in the system as a certain price, that's the price it is. I told her the sign on the shelf listed the item as a much lower price. This chick tells me "unless you wanna go back there and get the sign, it's gonna stay as what it rings up as!" Of course since I'm not a lazy POS I went back and retrieved the sign. Have been buying wood pellets there for years, they have always been out front I go in and pay then load up. I go in the other night and all the pallets out front have do not open written on them . I go in the store to customer service and I am told those pellets are only sold by the pallet now. So after so more questions I am told to go out to lawn and garden and look around there maybe some there. So I head to lawn and garden to find pallets of open bags and wet pellets. At this point not very happy, so a very nice employee asked if he could help me . He then explained to me they were trying to sell all these pellets before opening the new pellets, which included alot of $8.98 a bag pellets, the ones I usually get are $6.87 . I honestly don't shop at Lowe's often but I've had two great experience there. On rash if these occasions it was because of Mark in the appliance section. I recently purchased a new refrigerator. He was a very polite, patient and informative. I purchased a W/D set not too long ago and I'm pretty sure he helped me then as well. Mark has shown that he cares about helping people. Be very careful and I hope this does not happen to anybody. Bought a brand NEW DEFECTIVE WASHER. Now Lowe's does not want to do the right thing and exchange it. Went back to the store twice and was told to reach out to Whirlpool. Whirlpool mentioned that Lowe's has to initiate the transaction return, but Lowe's manager does not want to start the transaction because it's considered a loss to his store. My husband ordered a lawnmower online to be picked up from the Waldorf location. We received the email that our order was ready for pick up, we went today (Monday), to pick up our lawnmower and he was told that it was not ready and that the email just meant that it was in the store but it did not mean it was ready to be picked up. The lady at the Service desk was very rude if I could give zero stars I would. We usually use the La Plata Lowes because of the incompetence at the Waldorf location but the lawnmower was not in stock in La Plata, so we gave it a shot, lesson learned and we will never purchase anything at the Waldorf location. I called the Waldorf store to speak with the manager but after calling ten times no one at Customer Service answered................typical for them even when there isn't a pandemic. This store's customer service is trash. This is my 3rd time having an order transferred to a different store without my permission because the store says something is out of stock. Online it states that both items have over 30 available. How are your stock quantities so far off? Also, if I ordered something for pick up from a location, I expect to be able to pick it up from that location or have it cancelled. Lowes is not the only place to buy products from and there is a Home Depot in Waldorf right around the corner. On all occasions it has been difficult to get anyone on the phone from their customer service department. This last time I was on hold for over 25 minutes and called from a 2nd phone that was answered within 2 minutes while I was still on hold for the first call. When they finally answered, I was told by the Lowes employee that they could not cancel the order because it was transferred to another store. I don't know if this is true, but it doesn't make sense since they are allowed to just transfer orders to different stores without customer's approval. You would think they would be able to at least pull the order back and cancel it. They wanted me to call a different Lowes which ending up having me on hold again. I ended up calling Corporate Lowes Customer Service while I was on hold for the other Lowes Store and they were able to assist. The call with corporate took less than 5 minutes after I received a callback. All Lowes stores are not created equal and the Waldorf Lowes needs to get it together. I don't really like supporting Home Depot, but I find myself going there more often because I haven't had issues with items out of stock that are reported as in stock on line. read more

The name "LOWES" (of Waldorf) is what should be used to describe the service here...LOW. Most of these reviews are spot on. A mysterious woman there (no name needed, you'll soon discover), that does not act like she wants to be there, is in charge of your order. GOOD LUCK. She actually had the nerve to say "This one is a real character on the phone" when she thought I couldn't hear her. I told her the reason she got a "real character" is because she told me she ordered my tile a week ago and here we are one week later and she FORGOT to order it. Yeah you heard me right. She somehow jacked up my order and didn't realize SHE was the one that put it into the system. Someone, please, take up a collection offering to get this woman an early retirement fund. Please. She is wrecking havoc in this Lowe's of Waldorf location. She's become legendary. Something like Sleepy Hallow: The legend of the headless horseman. If you order on line pickup items be prepared to wait. There are two designated lines at customer service, returns and internet pickup. I got in the pickup line where I was informed, 'I'm only one person' by the sole customer service person on duty. Watching her take care of the customer in front on me in line, while fielding phone calls made me wonder why I had ordered from here. Eventually when the line got up to 7 customers long another worker jumped in. And then another that didn't seem to offer any help just float around and confuse the other workers. Lowe's store 402 In Waldorf MD has to be the worst on the east coast. Ordered and paid for carpet that was to be installed only to have the installer say they wouldn't install that particular carpet. Tried working with "Alexi" the store manager that is worse than a boil on one ass. Absolutely no customer service acumen. Ordered a grill for in-store pick up. They had 5 available, placed the order 5/26 got the email stating that my order was ready for pick up 5/28. Show up, get the whole I don't want to be here attitude from the employee behind the service desk. They go to get the grill.... tada! I decided to do the home delivery option for a patio table. For some reason, it was transferred to the Waldorf store when I specifically requested the La Plata store. I have waited two weeks for my table now. Every time I call I get a run around. One time they said that the table was in the store but they can't find it so they would call me back. So I bought a dishwasher from lowes in Waldorf, they sent Monte mechanical company out to install. First time out the dishwasher was broken so they sent it back. They disconnected the garbage disposal and never put the plug in to shut it off. So water flooding under the sink. So now we come to yesterday, they came back to install the new dishwasher, now they are saying dishwasher is broke but they can install a new one. So I call the company Montes mechanical company and they said sorry but they can't do anything for me. Now I call lowes and they said the installers have to deal with it. And we know they won't. My husband looked at it and the never hooked it back off. Incompetent workers all the way around. I will not stop foot in Lowes again ever. Home depot or nothing!
