I love this hardware store! It is chock full of everything that I could possibly need. It even has a super nice gift shop area with a variety of high-quality items to include home decor, clothing, candles, children's items. I especially love getting my Benjamin Moore paint here along with buying seasonal flowers and mulch. You drive your car around back and show your receipt and the mulch is put into the back of your car. Love that! We recently bought a snowblower and it was delivered as promised. I went to get simple keys made. The boy at the key counter made no attempt to greet me. I then waited 45 mins for my keys to be made, one of which he said he couldn't make after 45 mins. The whole time, he goofed off with his coworkers, one which should have been old enough to have more customer service. (Who also wouldn't stop talking about how much money he made). They made multiple comments about how they closed soon.... It was 6 and they didn't close until 7 or 8. Horrible experience and not a manager or adult in the store. I could have army crawled across the bridge to Lowe's faster than it took him to make 3 keys. read more

Great store with literally EVERYTHING you need from a hardware store and so much more. This place has tools & typical hardware items but they also have decorations, plaques, gifts, lawn and garden supplies...I'm floored and to tell the truth was there for over 2 hours shopping. They also have outstanding customer service! It'll be awhile before I go back to Home Depot or stores of that nature because the attention provided by the employees here can't be matched. read more

Pretty good selection and good advice, as well as lots of employees to steer you in the right direction to find what you need. Prices are fairly high compared to a Lowes or Home Depot, but you don't have to drive out of the county. My only complaint is always having to answer the question about having one of their cards when I arrive at the cashier station. Ace has what you need as long you're not looking for anything to specific. This store almost always has something to get the job done, without having to drive across the bridge and meandering around lowes. The people here are always insanely helpful and knowledgeable, and are quick to own up if they don't have what you need. The only reason they don't get 5 stars is selection is limited. In some cases you don't get a choice...it's the brand they carry or nothing at all. That, and they close Sunday at 3 pm...Really. read more

Ace service is superior to the other two major home repair companies. However, the customer pays dearly for this service. Their rewards program is nothing to brag about and ace does not offer a 10% discount for members of the armed service. In lusby their main benefit is convenience but again you pay for it. read more

I like to take my business locally but my most recent experience at Sneade's Lusby has me moving my business to Prince Frederick Jim's or a big box store. After purchasing $260 of stuff, and going around back for pickup and then realizing a wrong item was ordered back in the front for a refund. I spot a small kiddie pool out front, bring it in but no they won't sell that one per a head cashier (?). I have to go thru the line out back again to pick up, really? It's the rule I am told, but what happened to customer service... after being in and out of the store a couple of times, refunds and out back already- I vote with my feet and spend my cash elsewhere. On a good note, the key guys and paint ladies were most helpful! read more

when the commercials say "Ace is the place with the helpful hardware man / or woman" this is certainly true of my experience at Sneade's in Lusby. It is a little more difficult for me to always read all the boxes and small print so when I go in I often find one of the staff and they get me squared away quite nicely. Terrible experience at ace... they had nothing I needed and all the staff is useful for is saying "welcome to Sneade's"... not to mention getting harassed by the cashier about my dog supposedly pooping on the floor, when I watched her the whole time and she was on a leash, the worker refused to give my innocent dog a treat! So I asked another worker.. you will not be seeing me at Sneade's Ace ever again! I recommend Lowe's or tractor supply, worth the drive! Cashiers are nice too. read more

I built my house every stick, brick,block, siding, window and shingle bought at Sneades. I bought a bunch of 40 year pressure treated lumber that rotted out in 3 years. I asked for help removing the stuff I didn't ask for money. I was told that their wood representative would contact me. i was told I would be reimbursed for the lumber and nothing else. I was told the warrenty from the wood preservative company only covered the product not any labor and I should be happy to get that. What about Sneades shouldn't they have some responsibilty? They sold the stuff, they did not furnish or advertise a warrenty except to say it was 40 year lumber. They failed to stand behind their product. read more

The sign on the wall says "We are not your ordinary hardware store," and they mean it. I go to this store regularly to check out he household decorator items because they have a great selection. Today I bought a necklace, earrings, and a scarf - at a hardware store! When spring comes, they will stock up on bikes and kayaks. Can't wait! I heard they were selling those Yeti insulated cups for $20. I thought I'd call to check but felt kinda awkward about doing so because 1.) I'm typically an in-person kind of guy and calling around to retail stores isn't my usual modus operandi, and 2.) I didn't want to seem like too much of a cheapskate. It turned out my fears were unfounded and the helpful hardware lady I spoke was perfectly polite while she put me on a brief hold while she went and checked the price and quantity in stock. P.S. They weren't on sale for $20. They were selling for the usual price of around $30 but even at this price they were sold out. :-( read more

Very good home hardware store. They carry most items you would need for your everyday needs for maintenance around the home and garden. They aren't as big as other competitors such as Lowes or Home Depot but for what is here in southern calvert county they will get the job done and saves you a trip from going across the Solomon's bridge if you do live in calvert county. The only downfall I see is on Sundays they aren't open later for those of us who work long hours during the week or just need to use the weekend for shopping needs. The staff is extremely courteous and helpful but at times can be a bit overwhelming when they approach you and ask if you need assistance multiple times. read more
