My room had to be changed out 3 times. The first one was because there was a hole in the tub and the tub would not stop running (it was already running when I check in and would not turn off). Each of the rooms I had were molded in the bathroom and the AC unit, fixtures were rusted and there was trash still in the rooms. I did stay in Room 13 and the bed was so comfortable that, even if a ghost did try to mess with me, I slept through it. The hotel is full of art and interesting artifacts. It was fun to just look around! It is right across the street from the famous Fred's Lounge. There is also a bakery a few doors down that has awesome cheesecake. I highly recommend Hotel Cazan. It is, by far, the best hospitality I've ever experienced...and I worked in the hospitality industry for more than 15 years. So, go see Ms. Valerie, you won't be disappointed!

For the second day of my stay the water coming out of all of my faucets were BROWN (pictured). I notified the front desk and they recommended to just run the water for a while...I started running water at 4:45 pm and it is still brown at 10:21 PM. My coworkers also had brown water issues. The bed was very comfortable though. The towels in the room were clean and the surfaces that really mattered like the bed and countertops were clean. Paragons ability to host a conference is not in question because the infrastructure is there to do it and the service was polite. The food served at the conference was good overall. The movie theater was clean and a great experience. I would've tried the spa but it was closed. Numerous certain areas of the hotel just had a snapshot of an absolutely putrid odor. Every time I walked past a certain smell I just got mad as h*ll lol. If your love is not totally with gambling and getting drunk like never before...I would just stay at the Hampton across the street and then visit Paragon for certain activities. The location is centrally located near a Walmart, fuel stations, most oft used travel routes, etc. Suggestions: add towel hanging hooks in the bathroom, a/c system is a bit wonky, while the elevator is overly spacious it is a bit slow (which enabled me to use the stairs), ask the customer if they'd like a room with shower only or shower/bath combo bathroom, and finally ... the sheets. My experience has been that this is a decent place to stay. The Holiday Inn Express chain used to be my go-to travel hotel. Clean, free breakfast and reasonable rates were the norm. The chain has dropped significantly since I first started staying in them years ago. Now they are overrun with traveling workers. Almost every location I used to visit is packed with them, and their trucks, and they have made a family hotel less family friendly. It is not that they are obscene but I no longer want to fight for parking and deal with all that they bring to the chain. Although the chain has fallen off in recent years, this location was clean and had few people when I visited. Yes, there were giant work trucks but the hotel wasn't full. Breakfast was OK but the main benefit was the coffee. The room was clean and decent. I opted for a suite so I had a little extra room. If you are staying in Eunice, add this HIE to your list.

It felt more like a rundown motel than a Hilton. The bed wasn't much better--the fitted sheet kept popping off because it wasn't the correct size.
