Stayed a few days for a conference. One of the most interesting experiences I've ever had. Upon arriving and my initial scope of the place I really felt like online reviews were treating the Paragon too harshly and that it could not be that bad actually staying here. The decor was not as outdated as it could be and you can see where they have touched things up over the years. It is a massive facility with other things to do besides gamble. The place smelled of smoke as I would expect from any casino/hotel. The Top Golf Suite cafe took an hour and a half to bring food and it made everyone in there mad as h*ll. Nobody understood how you couldn't be prepared for an influx of people due to a conference. The burger I ordered from there was ok but the fries were overcooked. Paragon disabled the hdmi capabilities of the tvs so don't bring your PlayStation or Xbox thinking you'll play any of that here. They don't have a do not disturb sign for your door. The water pressure on the shower may be the worst in the United States of America. The light above the toilet area inside the bathroom was supremely dim. Flashlight needed My room had a sour smell mixed with housekeeping cleaner that kind of settled down after I ran the AC through my room. Stains were everywhere on my carpet and sofa chair. For the second day of my stay the water coming out of all of my faucets were BROWN (pictured). I notified the front desk and they recommended to just run the water for a while...I started running water at 4:45 pm and it is still brown at 10:21 PM. My coworkers also had brown water issues. The bed was very comfortable though. The towels in the room were clean and the surfaces that really mattered like the bed and countertops were clean. Paragons ability to host a conference is not in question because the infrastructure is there to do it and the service was polite. The food served at the conference was good overall. The movie theater was clean and a great experience. I would've tried the spa but it was closed. Numerous certain areas of the hotel just had a snapshot of an absolutely putrid odor. Every time I walked past a certain smell I just got mad as h*ll lol. If your love is not totally with gambling and getting drunk like never before...I would just stay at the Hampton across the street and then visit Paragon for certain activities. If you really need to gamble, come to any of the hotels in Shreveport/Bossier....may be a fraction of the size of the Paragon but I can almost guarantee you'll be happier and cleaner. 7 years later, and attended another conference here. I arrived at 1pm, having to assist in setting up the conference, only to not be able to check in until after 4 pm, meanwhile other conference attendees were able to arrive and check in between 2-4pm. The rooms are assigned before you get there, not first come first served. Golf tournament, they did nothing for attendees, as indicated in contracts. Food? Horrible. Rooms? Dirty, one towel for 3 nights (no housekeeping until the 4th day of stay) and an attitude when you try to get towels from the desk. Checkout is at 11, got to my room after closing ceremonies at 1105 to grab bags (I checked in 20 minutes after guaranteed time, mind you) to find the room key was deactivated. Staff couldn't open the door for me, to retrieve my already packed bags, "by new policy this morning". Also, the conference area is through the casino- so you have to show your ID to even attend the conference WHICH THERE IS NO ALTERNATIVE ENTRY OPTION. This is a horrible establishment, of which's operating procedures also make absolutely no sense. 0/10, would not recommend. read more

Stayed here overnight because I had to attend a funeral the next day. My review is only for the overnight @ the hotel. Check-in went really well, I arrived around 9:30pm was quickly checked in. Christmas decorations looked nice & Xmas tree was beautiful. Entering the room was a pleasant surprise. It was very spacious & looked clean. However to my surprise, there was a dirt ring in the tub & a pubic hair. The bathtub was not clean, so I question the cleanliness of the entire room. I never travel without Clorox wipes & Lysol, so I proceeded to wipe down & spray the room. The toilet was also broken. It kept running after flushing. I had to close the door so the sound wouldn't keep me awake. I also noticed the walls were thin & I could hear my neighbors talking. For the price I paid I expected a better experience. Google Hotel was not what I expected as quality grade. Check in went smooth but when arriving at my room things went downhill fast! Room was not very inviting and was somewhat outdated. Air conditioning was mounted under windows and verrry noisy. Pillows were small for a king size bed. Wall recepticals loose and plugs falling out. Refrigerator sat on the soft padded bench instead of in cabinet where it belongs, that's a fire hazard. Bathroom was a complete catastrophe, the shower had no light in it and had to shower by a light recessed in ceiling 5 feet away. Soap dispenser in shower didn't work probably empty! Had to shower with shampoo. Water temp was barely warm enough to shower. We ate at Roxy's diner in casino and the food was horrible. Wife was complaining of stomach issues. Fried fish was super salty and muddy tasting. Onion rings were under cooked and was just a mess of under cooked batter. Casino was like a ghost town and machines not paying at all. Overall experience was underwhelming by far. Probably will never return! read more

A friend of mine and I went here for a girls day. We rented a room so we could use the pool and have drinks and gamble, maybe listen to a little music - without worrying about driving. This was not the best place for that. Check in isn't until 4 pm and their policy does not really allow for early checkins or pool use prior to that 4pm check in. Food was ok, drinks were good. The place looks a little old and could probably use an overhaul. We did have fun, and much of the staff was really nice. I don't see myself returning though. read more

Stayed here for a work conference and woke up in the middle of the night 'cos I felt something bite me. It was a bed bug! I called the front desk and they sent a paramedic and 2 security guards up who proceeded to try to gaslight me into believing it wasn't a bed bug, even though I caught it and put it in a cup as evidence. They asked to see the bite, but it was on my back and I didn't want to take my shirt off around 3 men who were complete strangers, so they had me sign a paper saying I was refusing medical service. They eventually moved me to a different room, but I was too afraid to cover up after that, so I slept on top of the comforter with the lights on for the rest of my stay. The staff were indifferent and seemed annoyed that I complained. My supervisor contacted the hotel when I returned home from the work trip and they thankfully refunded our department for the last two nights, but it took some time until they responded. Went with my brother and his wife that was part of the Tunica-Biloxi Tribe of Louisiana and stayed at this resort. That weekend was tribes Pow Wow it was a very wonderful experience. The resort was still under construction so some floors were quarantined off but you can tell the difference of the old and new renovations. Plenty of slots, gambling tables, betting machines for you to win some money (casino always win) unfortunately I did not lol but it was the experience we were there for. I am currently attending a convention at the Paragon Resort. This is my first time attending a business/work related event there and the first time with overnight stays. I was completely perplexed upon arrival early Wednesday 3/20/2024 (at 11:07a.m.) the front desk clerk claimed that at that time they were only accepting check-outs. I mentioned I was a part of the convention, the desk clerk said early check-in would cost an additional $50, but a supervisor would have to approve a waiver. She didn't move, so I requested she check with her supervisor. Why should I have to request such? Where is the customer service at a resort? Another employee soon arrived and also said approval would have to come from a supervisor and the earliest I could get checked in would be at 1:30 p.m. I had my luggage and asked the latter employee if I could leave my luggage. She brought me to the secured luggage holding location, but I realized I would need items in the interim, so I decided against leaving my luggage. I had a break in my convention and decided to check-in. I found the same lady I initially dealt with who didn't listen to anything I was telling her. I stopped speaking and allowed her to ask me for registration items. Ex. She needed my ID, but prior payment was made under my supervisor's business credit card, which is what I was trying to explain to her. She made it difficult, but I allowed her to work it out through her process. My secretary informed me what to do to expedite the process before I left for the convention, but the desk clerk wasn't cooperative. I got the keys and had to ask for directions to my room, once again common customer courtesy. I returned to my conference rather than going to my room, since registration took longer than I anticipated. I finally got to my room, after 7:30 p.m. only to find the toilet paper dispenser was without the middle bar and a roll of toilet paper was stuck on the left side of the dispenser hardware. I grabbed the roll and the entire assembly came off the wall with the roll attached (see pictures). Additionally, the electrical outlet in the center night stand between the beds didn't work. I went to call about the condition of the room, only to find the room telephone didn't work, not even a dial tone. I was in shock that a resort maintained their rooms so poorly and that this was my first impression. I finally called the front desk from my cell phone the next day during a convention break, as I was settled in for bed the night before. After a 3 minute hold. I got a hotel representative, who apologized for my room condition and said the proper individual needed to hear my concern, so she transferred my call, because her department was reservations. A new person answered the transfer and said may I help you, but before I got her to hear me she hung up. I patiently repeated the process and was on hold for 4 minutes, spoke to the same employee in reservations and she genuinely apologized once again and transferred me for the second time. I spoke to an employee at the front desk who confirmed that the room telephone should be working and offered to send a technician to my room to help my stay to be more comfortable. I declined, as I would checkout the next day. She offered again to send a technician, but I declined. I said I wanted the resort to know I reported the broken bathroom hardware and the condition of the room, so the next guest wouldn't endure such subpar accommodations. Additionally, my room had no shampoo, only body wash and a small bar of soap. My refrigerator was off (warm temperature) when I arrived and had to be turned on. I expect more from a resort experience. Lastly, our convention food was great, however the lack of customer service was noticeable. A female serving the meat station at breakfast this morning 3/22/2024 stood there and expected each guest to tell her whether we wanted bacon or patty sausage rather than engage the guest hospitality. At lunch, there was unsweetened iced tea in a dispenser, but there was no sweetener available. I asked the staff for sweetener. He responded "what was put out was all they got." I have no future intention to return to Paragon Resort, there are too many other destinations that reach my expectations at a comparable. The convention feedback also included moving the convention to another venue. I guess I wasn't the only one dissatisfied! read more

The rooms are falling apart, Carpets are dirty, SMOKE stink even in the smoke free rooms. Horrible place and they should be ashamed! Rented room for two nights as always so kids could swim adults could play. Kids lost the pool bracelet the first night no big deal has happened before but this time they refused to give us new bracelet or call the pool and tell we were in a room. This about the most a$$anine thing I've ever seen to watch 3 kids cry and be disappointed and to loose people gambling in their floor. Even though we live a few miles away next time we feel the need to gamble will drive the two hours to next casino. Which is a lot nicer anyway. For the rooms it's hit and miss on cleanliness. Food shops open late and close early. Most of them are not open during the week. Very poor casino but was very good at one time. read more

The Paragon Casino is a nice establishment, and provides great service. I had a work social here, hosted in the casino's ball room. The venue was beautiful. The customer service I received was genuine and friendly (Housekeeping, Security, and the Desk Receptionists). The South Tower Rooms are older, but the restrooms were fairly in better shape. I had co-workers stay in the North Tower, and stated the rooms were refurbished and nicer. I didn't gamble or use the slot machines, but the scenery looked good from what I saw. I'd recommend this location for leisure, work functions, and just a place to visit! read more

Wasnt planning on staying here but I got lucky and my sister hooked me up with a room. The bed is comfy and the rooms are really nice. The tub has water jets and passthrough window from the bathroom to the bedroom so that's pretty cool. So I dont know if it's the walls.or what but I could here people having sex either below me or in the next room. Glad the guy was quick. If I come back out here again which is pretty slim, I'd stay here. Plus it helps they are 5 minutes from my dad's house. Another thing, they have alligators in the lobby. They barely move but hey, they are there. I love the ice bar. Drinks will always be cold. I hate all the cigarette smoke, that is a big buzz kill to the whole place so be prepared to walk out stinking. I love the gym especially since I had it to myself. They provide towels and water. I mean, I don't even know where to start. This place is so basic. Don't come here expecting any real amenities. The food on the property aside from the steakhouse is horrendous, and I do mean horrendous. You may actually get sick here the way me and my family did. The towels are cheap. There are no robes. Late checkout is $25 per hour. They don't clean the rooms unless you request they be cleaned or you stay three days. It is just very basic. Nothing at all to brag about or really enjoy. Would not recommend. You might have a better time across the street at the Hampton Inn and then come over here to play games if the casino is your thing. The steakhouse was decent, but nothing to write home about but in three days it was the best meal we had. read more

As soon as you walk into Paragon, you're hit with the smell of stale cigarettes. This casino definitely has not been renovated in some time. The carpeting especially leading to the rooms were dirty and faded. The paint on the walls were also pretty faded. The rooms themselves weren't terrible but I would rate it probably a 4/10. At least the cigarette smell was not as bad in the actual room. The little restaurant inside the casino wasn't too bad. The lunch/ dinner items were decent, especially the burgers. Stayed in the newer part of the hotel, but the shower door was broken. Maintenance did fix it, but was surprised that it was in disrepair so soon after renovations. Desk staff were indifferent. Thought they could have been more friendly or at least a smile. Room was comfortable and spacious. Casino food was ok. Loved the close proximity to the Tunica Hills Biloxi museum. Where do I begin??? I would like to say that my experience at Paragon Casino Resort was beyond disappointing. A lot of changes have been made & this change wasn't in a positive or productive way for guests. Upon arrival we were greeted in a very respectful & kind way by staff. After getting situated we were informed that the buffet wasn't open on this day (Wednesday); this news was disappointing so we chose to eat at Roxy's Diner. The food was cold & not good at all. It took approximately 10-12 minutes for someone to come and take our order. As I looked in the kitchen, I could see that the cooks didn't have there hair covered which was very unsanitary. When paying for our meal, I paid with a $100 bill and that was my biggest mistake. The cashier informed me that she needed to get change but didn't say I would be standing there for 15 minutes waiting. This was unacceptable to say the least. My change was given to me & we headed to our room. In route to our room, I noticed that everything at Paragon was old & dated. The vending machine, ice maker, & microwave was old. We had difficulty getting in our room because the old sheets & towels from the previous guest were blocking the entrance way. Tacky tacky tacky!!!! By this time I was ready to go home. I was able to move all of this mess with my foot while trying not to let it touch me. The room had a very stale smell to it and the furniture looked like it hadn't been dusted in months (see pictures below). The bathroom was also dated; toilet seat cracked with a permanent stain on it (see pictures below). My Mom pulled her sheets back and the bed wasn't made properly. The mattress cover was on top of the sheets, meaning the sheets were under the mattress cover instead of being on top. I took the bed apart and made it correctly. On Thursday, we went to eat at the buffet for lunch. Some of the food was okay, but for the most part the presentation of the food was displeasing. Food is what most people look forward to in Louisiana & the casino. My entire experience was poor at this hotel with the exception of the staff & Starbucks. The Paragon staff was very nice and accommodating. Thumbs up for that! This so called resort is dated and needs to be upgraded immediately. I made plans to attend the Monica concert on August 2nd but I've changed my mind. I will never step foot in this low budget casino. I can't believe it's still open. New management or owners can save this place!!! read more

We've been to a number of casinos over the years, including in Las Vegas. This isn't a huge casino, but it's nice, clean, well maintained, and the staff are all very nice and helpful. They have a good variety of slot machines and offer pretty much what you would find at a casino. They also offer numerous concerts, have shopping, a spa, and a movie theatre. I can't say how their rooms are because we use their RV Park. It's a great place for a weekend getaway! read more

I did a turn around trip with a local charter bus from Texas. We arrived around 3:00 pm and picked up a player's club card, I stood in line to get my pin added for my free play and then headed to the casino floor. Lots of slots which is my favorite game and I won two jackpots. One was a hand pay and the staff was friendly and professional. There were table games and roulette and craps as well but I stuck with slots. The wait staff did a great job of getting drinks in players' hands. I would definitely return to this casino! read more

This place was an absolute disappointment. First night we stayed on the first floor in South tower. Mold was on the window , grout, toilet, tub,etc. The floors looked like they haven't been vacuumed in years. During the night, the room became filled with heavy cigarette smoke to the point where I couldn't sleep. When we asked about it they said the rooms were non smoking but they could smoke on our floor. There was no fridge or microwave. After all waking stopped up, we asked to move to north tower in a King suite. It was a little better but still not clean like it should be. There were sticky stuff on the floors and not clean at all. Also, you can hear EVERYTHING in these rooms. Kept me up half the night. I will not be returning here. On a positive note, my kids did love the gators and the cart boys were very nice. read more

Gonna start off with how it doesn't even deserve 1 star ! The workers are absolutely rude as can be. Upon arrival, we asked for a cart for our luggage. The young lady looked at us as if we were aliens and replied, "only if you're gonna bring it back to me". When we booked, we were told there was a Queen bed and a sofa bed. Getting into the room, we notice there was no sofa bed, just a plain old stained up sofa. We then go down to the front desk to ask them about another room or anything else to accommodate us because we did not get what we were told we were getting. The lady at the front desk told us "we don't do sofa beds anymore and I can't switch your room" after back and forth she stated "I cannot do anything else to help you. The best I can do is send a roll up bed to you" (Which is twin sized) We had 4 people staying in this hotel room. So we asked if they could send up 2, and she said no. Already frustrated, I told her to just send it up. 5 hours later, Still no bed. Had to go to Walmart and purchase an air mattress just to sleep! But wait! There's more!!! Going to take a bath I ran the bath water, started up the jets and what do you know? It's absolutely disgusting! Brown stuff and black specs floating around in the tub. So I went to call the front desk to let them know.... phone?? also absolutely disgusting. Hair on it, black all over the phone! I would not recommend for even a DOG to stay here! It's disgusting, employees are rude and do not care about the customers. This place has everything. I came on a trip for a group of 50 and they gave us $10 food vouchers and $25 free play. I don't gamble so I gave my free play away. For a small fee of course! :) They have an awesome movie theater with concessions to go along with it. Free wifi everywhere...that's always a plus! What I didn't like about Paragon was having to pay for the workout facility! $10. What a rip off. I figured since enough people put their money in those stupid machines, that should come along with the hotel stay! Nope! Also, the spa has ridiculous prices and there aren't too many TV channels to choose from! Although this is nice, it could be a lot better. My husband and I booked a room to celebrate our anniversary and to leave our kids for the first time overnight. We were so excited. We initially booked through the paragon but then rebooked through Travelocity for a better rate for the same room. For two weeks I tried calling the number listed in the email to cancel reservations--always hold music or the option to leave a message for a call back. I left multiple messages, no call back. Finally the week of Thanksgiving someone answered. I was on the phone for 15 minutes and kept being told she could not cancel it I would need to go online to do it. That's not possible. I called again the next day and someone finally cancelled it. A week goes by and I don't have my deposit or the room fee refunded so I call again. I was transferred to someone in guest services and was sent to voicemail. I left a name and number for a call back. No returned call. I ended up filing a claim with my bank to get my $ back. Fast forward to the day of our trip. We arrive and the room we were given did not have the tub. Fine whatever it's a bummer but I'll live. We decided to go ahead and hit the slots and have some fun. After playing a while we hit up the diner for a quick bite before going to the room. The diner had a limited concert menu--again I'll live--but the "open til" time listed was 1am, the menu outside the diner said 2am, and online said 4am. Not sure which one was correct but glad we were there before 1am to be safe. My husbands food came out. Mine came out about 10 minutes later. Our appetizer of onion strings came out after we were both done with our meals. Not quite the order we envisioned. We decide it's time to go kick our feet up. We get to the room and I wanted to turn around and go home. I'm still nursing so I needed to pump and store milk. The refrigerator in the room wasn't cold and never got cold. The door had a nice chunk out of it. The bed did not have a fitted sheet on it. There was a mattress protector and a comforter and a top sheet. No fitted sheet. Gross! The shower head was so low I could barely fit under it and I'm 5 ft 1. I understand we didn't book the top dollar room but $152 plus tax and $12 resort fee should have gotten us more than an ill equipped room without sheets and a working fridge. This was my first experience at the paragon and after this I'm quite sure it will be my last. Tried reaching out via email--no response--and via phone--voicemail! Surprise! Will you please, for the love of anything holy, hire some people. If not for your guests , do it for your workers. They were polite to me, but they looked harried. It took me two days to actually see a housekeeping person. I get there is covid, but you can't run a hotel like this on a skeleton crew. You guys were cheap af when I worked here and I see you haven't changed. I feel for your employees. Now the good. I'm very glad to see that this is a now non-smoking place. What a transformation! Good call by whoever made it. It smells a lot cleaner in here and is more pleasant in general because you don't feel like you're suffocating. Thank you. The room was nice for something we had to book last minute. The bed was very comfortable and we had a microwave and fridge. We had a shower and tub. It was clean. It was quiet. I really can't ask for more than that from a room - except and I repeat, hire the staff to run this place. I did not enjoy having to use kleenex in place of toilet paper. And the phone? Why'd you put it in the room if no one was going to answer? The only reason you get more than one star is because your staff is pleasant and the coffee in the atrium was good. read more
