Rainy Day our knowledgeable and engaging tour guide, was mixing well-documented history with the plantation's well-known ghost stories in a way that feels balanced rather than over-the-top. That said, expectations matter. If you're hoping for a purely historical deep dive, some of the supernatural elements may feel a bit dramatized. On the flip side, if you're looking for a full-on haunted experience, it's more subtle than theatrical. Overall, The Myrtles Plantation tour is a worthwhile stop for anyone traveling through Louisiana. It offers a memorable mix of culture, history, and atmosphere--especially for those who appreciate a good story along with their sightseeing.

But it was also spring break…read more I'd like to go back when it's not so busy and stay overnight to see what ghosts I can find. I did have a crazy experience with my K2 reader going off and no explanation to why. I wasn't around electrical, my phone was on airplane mode, and as soon as anyone else would touch the meter it stopped. We had coffee in their coffee shop. That place was popping!
