Have not been here in a couple of years, so I checked the reviews, and it still looked pretty good! We went for dinner, and it must be under new management as oh boy has it changed. At first sight, it looked pretty bad from the street; inside was nicer for sure. It was a warm summer evening, so we asked to sit outside. Tables are metal, and the chairs are simple plastic and decor sparse. I ordered a Cadillac Margarita as this is my go-to at a Mexican restaurant. Advertised as "2oz," I did ask about how it was made as some bartenders really have no clue, but I was assured this was the real deal! It came out in a PLASTIC 7-10 oz cup full of ice for $15.75! The waiter apologized about the cup, so I was thinking there might be some consideration in price. It had little to no alcohol in it at all and maybe 4 oz of total liquid. Yes, I could/should have sent it back. Later, I ordered a Regular Margarita, and it was the same. Normally, one Cadillac will do it for me, and after two, I was sure there was no alcohol. Chips and salsa came, and another disappointment. A big part of the Mexican experience, and it came in a very small, thin wicker basket with just a touch of salsa. The chips were fresh, and the salsa was ok, just needed about three times the amount. Even the napkins were shocking small! See photos. (Saving $ everywhere!) The menu is interesting as I normally will get a "Combo" with rice and beans, but most everything is à la carte, and you can add rice and beans for an additional $6.95. See photo for the small cup of beans I got. Looked nice! I ended up just ordering the Cana Asada Tacos and my wife got the Kids Quesadilla. The Tacos were good and as you can see the presentation nice, and the Quesadilla was nothing to mention. Sitting outside, I felt something on my leg and found ants, TONS of ants, all under the table. About that time, the waiter showed up with the bill. Full charge for the Cadillac, and with all the ants, I requested the manager. Our server said they did not even have a manager working, and as mentioned, it was a Friday night! We will not be back, and I hope this might save someone else the same experience. The prices, not unlike a lot of places, have skyrocketed, but their product has diminished. As noted the food and presentation are nice but the corners they are cutting are not acceptable. Lots of great spots that would love your business.

She insisted of you buying 5 pcs as I think she's afraid that the rest of the bread will not be bought and will be old and stale . Too bad , business for her goes by the bulk . I can see a lot of her bread goes to the display for many days in a week as bulk as most people can't afford to buy the wholebulk of 5 pcs for $7.75 per bag . Some people like me can't eat 5 and can't afford the bulk. I went there while it's freshly baked and she won't sell 1-2 pcs only. I'm new to the Joyce area and saw that Mexican store. Bread is good to eat when it's freshly bake. Too bad , I don't buy and she just lost one of the few customers who can't buy the bread by bulk . She should learn from the Chinese business where you sell from 1 pc to bulk cause that's how successful business is done . Bread goes moldy and bad in a day or 2 and hers are displays on the shelf for days as she refused to sell it by piece or 2 and she will have more customers that way than by bulk . I prefer these ones to the smaller packages on the shelf in the super markets...filled with preservatives! They also have the different sizes! I love getting the small street taco size that you can't find everywhere! They carry Valentine's Hot Sauce as well which we have found very important for a good taco! Recently a friend of ours from Mexico had us for dinner and served us Hibiscus Juice made from dried Hibiscus Flowers. It was so good she sent us home with a little baggie and said Los Guerreros sells them! I will be heading there this week because we all loved the juice! Thankful for stores that carry unique, quality ingredients. Allowing people to experience the richness that other cultures bring...oh how I love this about Canada!

The only issue we had was when we ordered the churros to try them out (1 for each of us) and were told it would be 5 minutes and they would bring them to our table, and after 10 or so minutes of waiting we had yet to receive them. Even at the time of this posting, still, 15 mins in, with no churro. For this one I built my own bowl with rice, grains, chicken, beef, corn, cooked veggies, mango salsa, lettuce, and cheese. It was delicious. I ate more than I should have and then made a second bowl to take home for dinner!
