Coffee was pretty good. Not mind blowing, but pretty good. The barista's seemed a little overwhelmed between call in orders and counter orders and actually voiced that at one point. Very disappointed, came here with the wife after reading many of the positive reviews. Maybe it's our fault, but for some reason we were thinking there was going to be a wide offering of freshly baked goods, there was none of that. Think Starbucks operating under a different company name. Pre-packaged pastries, pre-packaged breakfast items, overpriced and not worth it at all. My breakfast croissant was placed in some type of iron waffle type of machine to heat it up, after it was thoroughly heated, was immediately placed into a Styrofoam container burning hot and then placed on the counter when it was ready. There was no wax paper or some kind of napkin to separate the food item from the Styrofoam. Yes, you guessed it, croissant thoroughly scorched the interior of the container as though a lighter was held to certain parts of it, therefore I received a generous dose of styrene along with my meal. Also ordered a latte with my breakfast, it was nothing special, it wasn't terrible, but it was just another latte, nothing to rave about. The two girls behind the counter seemed very unmotivated in the area of customer service and friendliness. Perhaps it was just a rough start for the morning, I have no idea. Have you ever been to an establishment where after you left, you realized you were friendlier than the staff? No greeting, no thank you, no smiles, barely noticeable announcement of your food being ready at the counter, why am I the one saying thank you when I pick up my food and not hearing anything back? read more

Cute cafe in the local area with pretty good coffee. I'm not sure why the barista had the eye roll action when we walked in but the lavender latte and brown sugar cinnamon latte were both very good. We haven't tried the food but even their specials it seemed that they weren't promoting them when we were considering a pastry. So can't judge for the food but the coffee was pretty good. read more

Stopped here for a coffee and a breakfast sandwich to share. Husband cannot eat pork due to chronic illness so we requested the Powell panini with ham on the side so I could have it. The barista (sign said her name was Kimmy?) was super kind and said she could absolutely make it without and even grilled up the ham separate for me. I asked for a ramekin and put some of their hot sauce in it which made the sandwich taste fantastic. It also came with a sriracha mayonnaise which was nice. My husband wasn't a fan as he said the croissant tasted very sugary to him. I didn't taste that at all but I think it's because I used the hot sauce. Coffee was mediocre at best. Just save yourself the hassle and money and go to the Starbucks across the street (not that I really like Starbucks). I went there with high hopes based on their awesome sign with the recipes of various coffees drawn out but was quickly asked if want my cappuccino to be 20 ounces. Like anybody could drink a 20 oz cappuccino with the correct proportions (6.7 shots of espressos). I then just asked for a drip coffee and asked for whole milk instead of cream. I was told I would be charged for the milk substitution, which I have never heard of in my life. I declined and was told my total was $3.88 for my coffee. Am I in NYC or San Fransisco? Jeeze. I can't imagine why this place is ranked high. Edit: the owner has since contacted me about the cream vs. milk up charge. It seems like that was an error and it was not suppose to be that way. I have since changed it to 2 stars instead of 1 star. read more

Get some real quality coffee/ espresso and not that Starbucks mainstream stuff. They know what they do and they use a real coffee machine which brings the appropriate pressure to make some real espresso which is the base for a bunch of mixed coffee drinks like cappuccino/ latte/ etc. It has a nice ambience and nice stuff. I recommend to visit the Restaurant right next to it State 48 tavern which is also great. read more
