Water was very dirty, the people at the front were rude, I understand everyone has to have their bags checked but they left 5 people go in before starting to check bags. Went to go get tubes were told to not take back so our seats yet there were plenty of others that did. If I could give it zero stars I would. You already want someone to spend $34 a ticket even for children and then won't even let us take in water or snacks, even the big parks let you take a full cooler in. read more

It is very difficult to reach anyone during the off season. I've tried reaching them for 2 or 3 years in the off season to purchase season passes for Christmas gifts. I never once received a return call or email, but just kept checking back on the website for the ability to purchase the passes online. Every time before the season passes for the next year weren't open for purchase yet in October, November or December, although I was just able to purchase them finally. It seems the season pass (about $150/each) is the more economical way to go as it is very expensive for a day pass, over $30 per person. To add insult to injury, they don't allow bringing in outside food or drinks and the refreshment stand is limited and pricey, as well. Despite the price the kids always have a good time and it's a great way to spend a hot West Texas summer day! read more

It was just me and my 4 year old. pros: -food lines went quick, secondary line just for ice cream was a smart move. -water in the wave pool / slides / and splash pad were clean and clear. -party area looked nice and secluded cons: -expensive for bringing just a 4 year old and one adult, I could drive to midland for less, pay less at their public pool, and be allowed to bring in a cooler -water was murky in lazy river and pirate ship playground -not much to offer food wise and they dont allow outside food/drink -it hurts to sit on the edge of or in the splash pad while my 4 year old played -saw several lounge chairs with broken slats -locker rental is for one time use, cant go in and out of it without repurchasing a token; i ended up just bringing my bag with me after having to go back and open it to get my wallet for food purchasing; also observed some immediately forget something in the locker after closing it initially and still had to repurchase a token read more

Recently we booked a Party for my son's Birthday. Honestly I was very concerned after reading the reviews which would concern anyone. However After still going and experiencing for ourselves it was honestly really good. Despite everything being very costly the kids had an amazing time. this was my first trip back after almost 25 years. while there were 2 newer sections, the original set up was exactly the same-so it was OLD. it's clear that there is very little care given to updating and maintaining this "water park". This would all be fine and acceptable if tickets were $15 bucks or something. But it was $36 per person (including my 4 year old). with tax we paid over $155.00 for a run down water park. if they would try to put a little effort into upkeep and modernizing it, it would go a long way. For example, add more umbrella shade areas by the wave pool, try to not have ripped mats for the water slides, consider not surrounding the splash pad pirate area with pebbles that end up in the water and hurting the feet of the small kids. The staff searched our bags which was also not the most welcoming thing. We will never be back. The tech leisure pool is cheaper and is more enjoyable. read more

Had a wonderful time! Our kids (adults) and grandkids came to visit us. We took them to Water Rampage and everyone had a blast! They have something for every age group. The admission price is very reasonable. The park and water were very clean. All the staff were very polite and professional. The snack bar has a grill, and you can get hamburgers and hot dogs. It was easy for us as grandparents to sit back, relax, and watch our grandkids (and adult kids) have a blast. This will be something we do every time someone visits. read more

I'm giving this water park one star for the friendly and helpful staff I encountered at multiple spots throughout the park, and one star for the fact that my two kids (ages 10 and 5) had fun while we were there. The park loses stars, however, for a few reasons: 1) It was so rundown that I can't imagine much maintenance has been done for several years. Every concrete surface was crumbling--the bottoms of all swimming areas, walls, sidewalks, etc., which was unpleasant on bare feet and just looked bad. There were cool-looking pirate sculptures and pirate boats, but many were faded or almost completely hidden by overgrown bushes. The plants were very pretty, though, and if they'd been trimmed back, they would have been a lovely touch. 2) The price of admission was $26/person, regardless of age. For that price I expected to find a much nicer park with more slides and water features, especially considering it was only open from noon to 6 p.m. With the high admission price, I would think they are raking in lots of money and more maintenance would be financially possible. 3) No outside food or drink is allowed, which I kinda get, but I had two people in my group with severe food allergies and that's a scary situation for them. At least the bottled water was reasonably priced at $1.50/bottle. 4) No re-entry allowed. So, if you forget your kid's goggles at home, you can't go get them and come back, or if you want to grab a bite to eat outside the park and then return, no can do. 5) The person at the top of the big double slides didn't give any direction to my daughter, who had never done a water slide like that before, and she ended up getting scraped on her back. And one of the lifeguards on the lazy river seemed bored/distracted ... not something that gave me confidence my kids would be safe from drowning. I'm from Denver, Colorado, and this park was much more expensive than one of our comparable smaller ones there, and ours is bigger with more features, very well maintained, allows re-entry, and allows outside food and drinks as long as there is no glass or alcohol in your bag/cooler. For a growing city like Lubbock, this water park is an embarrassment. BUT, it has so much potential to be super cute. More lenient policies, less pricey admission, and lots of maintenance would go a long way. They either need to step it up, or someone else needs to come in and open another water park to create a little competition. read more

No alcohol, concession stand was out of most everything, our 6 year olds weren't allowed on the small slides but allowed on the big ones (???) and the lifeguards were beyond rude about it. The kids had fun, we will still go back but hopefully it'll be a better experience next time. (When our kids are tall enough to have fun and we can have a beer. ) read more

It was disgusting and run down, the water was foggy and dirty, some of the little girl lifeguards were very rude, the snack bar was overpriced , $10 for some cheap chips w cold chili and some cheese, and of course you can't bring outside drinks or snacks in nor do they allow reentry if you forgot something in the car ,my nephew cut his food on the poorly maintained wall in the lazy river, there was a puddle of blood in the girls bathroom, but I will say the bar area was decent , drinks were decently priced and the girls serving very were very nice ...and they allowed you to have your beverage in the water. do I think the $30 is worth it? not really do I expect there to be a lockerroom to change? yes was the water clean? no lol will I be going back? most likely. we travelled from Odessa for a little get away before school starts, it was hard to change in and out in the stalls but we made it work. the facilities definitely need some TLC, but overall we enjoyed our visit. keep your expectations low and you'll enjoy yourself! read more

This was not the waterpark I remember when I lived here in the 90's. We thought it would be a fun excursion while visiting family. It was crowded, the water in the lazy river was dirty, the wave pool didn't have very high waves compared to other parks I've visited recently (or that I could remember from this one in the past), and we spent half our time waiting in line at the concession stand because they only had ONE order-taker (two windows) and she would wait until she had ALL of your order delivered to you before she would place the next order. They also had NO diet drinks, so tough luck diabetics...you only get water. I rented a locker, but when I arrived I learned that I could only access it 3 times during my stay before I had to rent it again. What happened to renting it all day and being able to get to my wallet whenever I wanted? I had fun with my kids and grandkids, but it has definitely gone down hill. read more

$30 for a pool, small lazy river, two slides and kiddy cove. If Lubbock had another water park we wouldn't even consider returning to this place. The decking will burn your feet so make sure to bring water shoes. Also, because the flooring is loose everywhere it's easy to hurt your feet on the flooring. I had my daughter's birthday party at Water Rampage and did not have a great experience. I tried calling the office before booking because I had a few questions and couldn't get in touch with anyone (I did call during their open hours). I went ahead and booked online and figured someone would call to confirm the booking but never heard from anyone. The day of the party I walked up to the window and said I was there for my daughter's birthday party. The girl at the window asked how many people I was paying for and I told her that the party paid for 15 in which she replied I hadn't paid for any guests, despite the fact my card had already been charged $441 for the party and tables. After a few minutes she realized it was paid for and told me to go in. I asked where the tables were located and she did not know, she pointed in a general direction and said "I think that one is over there". I walk around to find the tables and it has my name written on it instead of the birthday girl's name, in fact they had her name wrong altogether in the reservation. I start setting up the tables and needed to go back to my car to grab the rest of the party decorations and they told me I wasn't allowed back out. I was the only one there to carry stuff in, they didn't have a cart to help and then told me I was not allowed to go back out to the car to get the remaining items. Every year I let my kids choose where they want to have their party and this place was by far the most expensive and did not offer anything like other places where they have a party host, food, drinks, or even someone to just walk us to the location that is rented. I would highly suggest finding somewhere else to host a birthday party. read more

I really enjoyed myself and so did the family. The lazy river was awesome fun and the slides were great. It is a smaller locally owned park so you won't get the "bigness" of the Dallas water parks, however because of that I felt it was reasonably priced. Even better... For the adults there were beverages (strawberry-Rita, lime-a-rita and more)! There weren't weak drinks either! All in all I would definitely return. read more

I honestly don't know where to start with the terrible experience we had here. Let's start with we read on their site you could pay to bring in a cooler and as we arrived many people obviously thought the same thing. Unfortunately you cannot bring any outside food or drinks. Upon buying our extremely expensive tickets at 17.00 per person no matter the age we were told no outside food but we could leave and come back. So we took the walk back to our car with all of stuff but brought one of our beach bags in with waters. We had planned to spend all day and need to stay hydrated. Quickly we noticed the extreme lack of maintenance and care given to this very small property. Finding a place in the broken ms cracked chairs the three of us went for a swim leaving our bags zipped under our chairs. Upon returning the people next to us said a lady from the front office cane and OPENED our BAGS went through them and then took one of our bags without asking without consent to any kind of search. She took our bag because we had chilled water inside and some snacks. Regardless of the rules she opened and searched OUR BAG! The snacks and drinks offered were extremely unhealthy like nachos and candy and chips and very expensive as well. The wave pool wasn't even half filled the entire pool baby sections as well had chipped paint every where and bad enough damage my 6 years son got a scrape on his foot. The bathrooms were extremely poorly lite but obviously to cover the fact that they were disgusting and dirty and yet another example of the poor care of this property. The water was cloudy and the two slides they had were also very lacking in care. Every time you went down the slide different rules applied depending on who was monitoring. Sometimes you had to have a mat, or you could and couldn't ride down with your young child. Also you had to pay extra for tubes, extra if you wanted a cushion for your broken and cracked chair, and if you did buy a drink they had to open it for you another unnecessary rule to this poorly run establishment. Needless to say we will NEVER go back. There was so little to offer for the price we paid and little regard for the customer. If there had been better healthy options of food and snacks and the place was clean and well maintained I wouldn't have a problem paying the price of admission. Possibly having servers going around to take drink orders, more awnings for shade and clean the place for goodness sake. DAILY cleaning! Then the employee who LITERALLY BROKE the law by opening our bags searching them and then taking them into her possession was unbelievable! I will be writing a letter to the owners and or managers of the park but won't expect much in the way of customer service. They clearly have no idea what real service is. Don't waste your hard earned money going to this poor excuse for a FAMILY friendly fun park. read more

My daughter went there last weekend with her gymnastics team. They kindly opened up the park after hours for 2 hours for the kids and families. Attending this event turned out to be a mistake. My daughter left with 2 cuts on her big toe, one of which is a significant deep cut. She obtained this from a sharp object inside the kiddy pool. She's been on crutches and unable to walk on it all week. Now it is infected and she will require surgical intervention. Thanks for nothing Water Rampage. You need to maintain your pool a bit better. I also hope you plan on helping with my medical expenses that are racking up. We won't be back rest assured. read more

Overpriced, not worth the money to dish out. Cost about 17.50 a person for a full day, even if your not swimming they will charge you. The only way you will not be charged is if your under the age of 1. Tubes are extra. and bringing a cooler cost also. not worth it. This place is very over priced for such a small place the pool is so gross and the employees were very rude the yelled at kids constantly and the advertisements where horrible there where barley any rides and there was trash all in the wave pool. I need to write this review because I was treated incredibly horrible in front of my 5 year old daughter. We got to the park around 1:30 yesterday July 23rd. Got our tubes, lockers, etc. They at first charged me for 5 people when in reality there were only 4 of us, myself, my daughter, my friend, and her daughter. As I was reviewing the receipt they asked for it and she said she had made a mistake and they gave me cash back for the extra $15 or so. I was glad they caught their mistake and were so helpful about it. So we played with our daughter's in the kiddie section for about 20 minutes. They had a blast. Then we went to go in the lazy river. Immediately after we started floating down, they said over the loud speaker that there was lightning near and we all needed to get out. We understood. It's Texas it happens. We got our daughter's food, and sat down with them to eat. I'm not sure how much longer it was before they said the storm wasn't letting up, and they had to shut the park down, and that they would be giving rain checks. We returned our tubes and cleaned up our mess. Went up to the front and waited in line to get our rain checks. My friends daughter (who is 7) knocked on the glass a couple times. I asked her to stop. She did it again, and then she and her mother went to the car so she wouldn't again, right before they walked away, a woman named Denise (from what I heard) who was working inside the ticket office called us white trash. I waited a little bit to see if I could get our passes. They ignored me. A man who wouldn't tell me his name came out and told me he called the police and I was "criminally trespassing." In front of my daughter. All I wanted was to get our rain checks so I could take my daughter another time and we could have a good time like we had planned. They wouldn't give me my passes. They ignored me. I figured I'd walk away since they were probably overwhelmed with a lot of upset people, and decided that I'd call when they opened again today. When I called, a man answered and I asked if I could speak to whomever the highest manager was and he just said, "Yeah, who is this?" I told him my name was Brittany and asked if he was the man who threatened to call the police on me yesterday, when all I was trying to do was calmly get our passes. I did not raise my voice, call him any names whatsoever. I had my daughter on my hip when we were there and I wasn't being threatening at all. He told me that he did call the police on me, and if I ever called back he'd call the police again and file harassment charges. Then he hung up on me. I am thoroughly upset about how I was treated especially in front of my 5 year old when all we did was go there to have a good time. I have not harassed these people in any form at all. I'm writing this review in hopes that maybe the situation can get resolved, and in hopes that it doesn't happen to any one else. Like I said, I'm upset with the way this situation was handled. This place is over priced. Paying regular price for a 3-4 year old is crazy. I spend 148 for entry and 3 tubes. The food is horrible and I also bought 5 beers at 4.00 and 2 ice creams at 2.50 which my total was 25.00. I pay with a 100.00 and the change that was given to me was 24.00. I get back into the long line to speak with someone regarding my change just to be told I needed to stand to the side and the manager never came. I personally had to look for him. He wrote my name and number and I was told they would check and let me know. A woman tells me my change would be given back but it would be tomorrow and she would call me and she never did. I called the following day to be told it was my mistake. I didn't ask for a refund I asked for my correct change! I was not once asked for my ID either and the person making the drinks needs to be taught how to correctly make them. I would never take my family back to this place and I strongly encourage anyone to reconsider. read more
