Based on good first visit, I returned to try more. There were numerous slice options ; I went with drunken Brooklyn slice which was a grandma style crust ( between thin and Sicilian). It was delicious! Light and crispy crust, plenty of balanced vodka sauce, thin layer of cheese that didn't overwhelm the rest. I also enjoyed an imported Coke ( cane sugar, not high fructose corn syrup) in a frosty cold glass bottle. Yum. While I ate, I heard multiple customers come in and greet/chat with the owner who seemed to know almost everyone; it made for a nice vibe. The guy at the counter was also very friendly. Since they don't have link to current menu, I'm posting it to help others. I'll be returning again to try their cheesesteaks after learning that they use rolls from DeLuca bakery in Jersey, not the soul-less Amoroso's. I recommend that you give them a shot! read more

Finally tried the Traditional Stromboli or the Boli with pepperoni, sausage,onion,green peppers and mushrooms. They had it ready in 20 minutes and they give you plenty of sauce on the side, the sauce was excellent. I am a huge fan of the Stromboli but I wasn't cheering for this one. It was not bad but not what I was looking for , a little light on everything , especially cheese and the crust was a strange texture... it was almost stale ? Very strange. I will try the cheesesteak Stromboli in the near future but won't be having this ever again, there are much better in the area. read more

We have been customers of Lucas's for quite a few years and only had one issue until last evening. We ordered two hoagies. Well, got hoagie rolls with a few slices of meat that you'd expect on a regular sandwich. Also we ordered two they they billed us for and delivered three. We asked for "kettle chips", we recieved regular chips. I stopped in today to share our experience. The owner wasn't there so I spoke with a short dark haired fellow. This place is located between our house and the boys soccer practice. We were in a pinch for dinner one night so I grabbed some wings on the way home. I don't know what sorcery they put into the breading on their chicken but it stays crunchy and flavorful even after a 20 minute drive. They have a very easy online ordering system. We've ordered wings for all of our events in the last few months and they're always ready when we arrive and a hit when our guests dig in. They supply ample blue cheese and buffalo sauce (which tastes like it has blue cheese already in it). The gentlemen who work there are super nice and friendly. Prices are reasonable and I can't rave enough about their wings. Oddly, I've never had anything else here but will try next time. We ordered the pizza and wing deal, and a large Stromboli. The pizza is very thin and tasteless. We didn't get pepperoni on one of the pizzas, and the wings came with sauce when we asked for plain with sauce on the side. The Stromboli was ok. I am most definitely a fan of Luca's. The food quality is pretty average and the location of this small pizza joint is ideal. What really wins me over is the great staff that I've dealt with on numerous occasions. The owner is a really cool guy who treats both his customers and employees with respect. That's the stuff I love to see! Every so often during my lifeguard shifts in the burning sun, I will get that summertime craving for the tastiest cheese fries around: Luca's Texas Cheese Fries. I can personally tell you that an order of these suckers satisfies at least 2 to 3 hungry lifeguards (which says a lot, because when I say hungry, I mean out-in-the-sun-dealing-with-crazy-kids-all-day-HUNGRY). The buff-chick pizza is also another lifeguard favorite. The menu is pretty standard all around when it comes to selection, costs, etc. They have killer calzones and pretty sweet weekday lunch deals. The food here is ok, and the phone service is both friendly and accommodating. Why the low stars then? After quoting a delivery time of 30-45 minutes, our food didn't arrive for over an hour. When it did, the order was incorrect (they sent us calzones instead of Stromboli) and lukewarm. When I called, I was told that I was wrong and they didn't know what my problem was. Luca's is always my go-to place when I want takeout Italian, wings, pizza, or cheesesteaks. The food is fantastic, the prices are reasonable, and whenever I get delivery it's almost always very quick. Owner is very personable and you can tell he loves what he does. One thing I love is that when you get the wings, they even think to vent the top of the styrofoam container. First, the manager was cursing at me over the phone after I asked him why he over charged me $5. False Advertising!! Don't think I'm going back after going there off and on for take for years. Today I picked up my lunch special that's advertised for 6.95. I got charged 10.00. I asked why? Oh, the prices went up. Yet the sign is proudly displayed in their window and yelp etc. for 6.95! Years ago the steak sandwich would melt into the Styrofoam container. Few wks. ago they charged my card 70.00 instead of 7.00 They were honest and called me. Delivered me the difference. However, you'd think they give me the sandwich for free? NOT!
