I have been on a frantic search for a solid Real Estate Lawyer who NOT only had Real Estate experience, but who also had Proposition 19 knowledge/expertise/experience and not having luck with direct referrals, searched online. They consider people asking about their services such as fees, retainers, time lines, as "pro bono work" as stated in their emails so they charge $300. Why would I pay $300 to a company to give them the opportunity to earn my business? Why about the more than $300 I lose for them to talk to me for one hour about why I should hire them? No way I would every hire a company like this because to me it is a sign to me that you will be charged for every little thing during the process and if you object, they will accuse you of wanting something for free.
