Going through the probate process took a long time(2 and a half years) partial due to the nature of the courts and partially due to some more uncommon issues that came up. Including an existence of a trust, but being unable to locate a copy including finding the attorney who originally set up the trust and asking if they had any copies. Unfortunately, the trust was set up before computer records were common. Another problem they helped me with was SunRun decided, for reasons we were never able to figure out, to try to shut of service even after I had began the process of transferring everything into my name and was only then waiting on the deed for the house that I wouldn't have until probate was over. Getting a letter saying SunRun was going to deactivate my service for being overdue on payments while in the same letter saying I owed no money and was 0 days past due was confusing and was confusingto every SunRunemployeei spoke to and none could give me answers. Burris Law helped me tremendously with this and without their help I don't know what would have happened in the end. I can't say enough nice things about them. They sent me 2 small care packages during the process and it was really nice to get something positive in the mail during a time when I was getting anxiety every time the mail came. Even after probate has been over for a year they answer any questions I have that come up. Retaining their services was expensive, as it would have been for any probate attorney, and it was worth every cent. When I'm in a better spot I'll be back to set up my own trust with their help.

Things got worse when we had to write up the eviction documents. He misspelled the defendant's name four times in two forms! That could've gotten the whole thing thrown out and wasted another two weeks. When I pointed out these mistakes, he tried to blame me for writing the original notice. He is the lawyer here, right? The final straw was when I asked for my money back. He said he mailed a check, but when I asked which address he sent it to (he had two on file), he just ghosted me. Totally unprofessional. We waited 6 WEEKS for the police report, where the reporting officer found him "at fault" after interviewing JUST 1 witness and the driver, who said he was in the intersection. Not wanting to spend $$$ to retain a lawyer, we waited to see what kind of settlement amount the insurance would offer. We were then bullied by the insurance adjuster who convinced my fiancée that since he was found "at fault", they owed us nothing. We contacted a well-advertised billboard lawyer who told us we had "no case" because he had been found "at fault." Feeling dejected at a low moment of exasperation, my fiancée signed a settlement agreement of $10,000 as he was told "that's all you're going to get because you were found at fault." I literally got home :20 after he signed. I was furious and this let to a lot of fights between us. I found John Rajee of RMD Law on Yelp as a lot of reviews said he handled "difficult situations." He was kind and professional but also understood human nature and the whole dilemma we faced- trying to get a contract invalidated AND attempt to re-settle with the insurance company. He also advised me on different ways MY auto insurance could help even though my fiancée was on a bicycle. Although John consulted other colleagues to discover ways to secure a better settlement, ultimately nothing could be legally done to get the settlement contract negated :( Unfortunately, my fiancée and I had to move forward with accepting the circumstance. Through all these developments, John kept advising us and was professional and thorough. He advised me as an experienced counselor and also just an honest guy who took the time to reassure me that basically it wasn't the end of the world. Frankly, I was very very angry with my fiancée over his moronic decision to sign, and speaking to John just honestly helped me move past my anger and put the whole bad situation behind me. I would absolutely recommend John and his colleagues to anyone seeking legal advisement, and I will definitely refer him to friends and family. Even if you just need an answer or two, PLEASE contact RMD before signing anything, taking action, or accepting offers. They absolutely will help!

I learned a lot about small claims court along the way because I had dropped the ball on my case, even if it was thru no fault of my own. John was easy to talk to and gave me the time needed. I was with a different law firm at the beginning of my case. A "bigger" more "famous" law firm that specialized in workers comp. After the initial consultation with them I had to constantly track them down and no one would get back to me. They filed a claim full of mistakes, some as obvious the date of injury or address, and never fixed it even after I reached out to them multiple times. I was very disappointed and felt a bit hopeless until Ryan came along. What I can say, Sara Naheedy was outstanding! Ms Naheedy helped us established a living will and trust. She made it straight forward and painless and helped us navigate through all the "legal-ese." We really appreciated that she made herself very accesible to us when we had small questions along the way. She was also very helpful to us during the home buying process, and we had her review some of the contracts we had to sign. There were also billing concerns: I was charged for an initial consultation that was initially offered for free verbally. I was charged for photocopies and phone fees, despite everything being handled digitally. A file opening fee was added, though this was not clearly discussed up front. In my opinion, the value received did not match the amount billed. I would not recommend based on my experience."
