Lucca was so many great gifts, decorations, and craft ideas. It was fun to wander and search through the inventory. For a small stone, there were so many cool things. If you are in Ballard, this would be a great stop. From the moment you step in, you'll find so many creative things! Great shop, great prices!!!

LUCCA great finds indeed! I saw Juniper Ridge Products on Instagram and I reallllllly have been looking for natural, woodsy, inspired products/fragrances. When I went to the website LUCCA was the only Local boutique to carry them I've walked by the store a HUNDRED times and somehow never managed to pop in That changed today. Due to covid only 4 people can occupy the space. Totally find, so since I WANTED to smell these products I patiently waited my turn. I sanitized before I was able to enter and wore my mask even when smelling the fragrances. I found what I was looking for and then continued on browsing. I finally settled on the mini soaps to try as many as possible. I also picked up a tea because I mean of course! The store has a selection of the best find though! If you have an eclectic taste then you MUST pop into this small local Ballard business. You will not be sorry! I had a budget, but I swear I'll be popping in for some of their other candles and items.

This is one of the best gift shops I've been to in the Seattle area. It's part curiosity shop, part vintage art shop. They lean towards specializing into more of the curiosity side of gifts. In the front of the shop, you have coffee table books on centuries past fashion, anatomy, fortune telling, astrology, and vintage themed pictionary dictionaries. You can also find specialty soaps, lotions, and cedarwood & lemongrass sage bundles, tea and dish sets. In the back, they have vintage/antique post cards, posters, vintage scissors, and an abundant variety of writing tools! My favorite of the writing tools are the 'field note' mini notebooks and the group of grid, lined, and sketchbook notebooks that are of great quality. The owners take great care to bring their customers something unique and unusual. This is one of my favorite stores located in the Ballard neighborhood. I highly recommend taking a peak around, especially if you're a mixed media artist or creative entrepreneur. You're sure to find something, even if it's a neat and unique decoration for your space.

The most beautiful and dreamy smelling gift store in Ballard! Amazing array of items, from perfumes to candles to out from heaven soaps to the most intricate adornments for your house. I was more and more amazed as I was discovering more and more the store and for a moment I thought I was back to elementary school times with those old fashioned German made inks in purple, lavender and indigo blue, so pretty! Plenty of old school note books with travel memorabilia, especially portraying creative images of London, Paris and Seattle. Their patio is gorgeous and everything there is on sale too. Lots of kitsch objects and atmosphere. Friendly service that allows you to browse and touch without being on top of you. And oh, again, that smell on the way out, you will never forget that magic smell of Lucca's candles.

I love coming to this store. I could probably spend several hours in here if my conscience and guilt didn't kick in. They have cute finds from stationary, drawing and crafting utensils, to soaps, etc. It is a hodgepodge. Usually I am pining away for all the cute stuff in here because it is pretty expensive. I may splurge every now and then but I can't come too often for the sake of my wallet.

Garden Mint candle - what a heavenly scent!

I only bought a candle from this store - but what a fabulous candle! The Sydney Hale company makes some beautiful candles (the garden mint scent is heavenly) - and they support animal rescue organizations. The salespeople at the store were very helpful and kind and they sell some really nice products.

This is the first review I have ever posted to yelp--that is how happy I am with the service provided by the staff of this establishment. Searching for the elusive "Jewish Wisdom Ball" as a humorous gift for my 92 year-old father (who fortunately needs nothing), it was out of stock everywhere, until it showed up on the gift shop website, on sale no less. I placed my order and crossed my fingers. Within 48 hours I received a cheery message wishing me a "Happy Hanukkah", confirming shipping and actually apologizing for not having mailed it faster in the midst of the busy holiday season! I have since had occasion to contact them again and they are always prompt, professional and courteous. The gift shop is in Seattle while I live in Illinois, yet they treat me as though I am an old friend or longtime congregation member who has been walking through their doors often over the years. Based on this positive experience I intend to continue to support them with future purchases where appropriate. They are the sort of people we need more of in the world today and I can't thank them enough for the manner in which they do their jobs.

Pike Place is a massive food hall, craft market, and farmers' market. You can find just about anything in Pike Place. It is truly an amazingly magical spot, and there is nothing quite like it. The value is great. The service is prime. I think you could easily stay within a $100 budget for a family and feed everyone for the whole day in Pike Place Market. Seattle's world-famous Pike Place Market is one of the Emerald City's most popular tourist traps,…read moreand for good reason. The sprawling, multi-level marketplace dates back to 1907 and remains one of the oldest, continually operating farmers markets in America. It's narrow arcades are home to dozens of stalls selling everything from candy and cannolis to flowers and jewelry. The main attraction, of course, is the fresh seafood, which arrives every morning from boats trolling nearby Puget Sound. At peak hours, hundreds of tourists crowd around the Pike Place Fish Market, near Pike Place's main entrance, to watch fishmongers toss Salmon, Halibut, Cod and other customer selections from the market floor to the sales counter to be filleted and wrapped. Onlookers clap and cheer as the fish fly through the air, while the mongers politely remind the crowd that they're operating a working seafood market, not a circus. When you're done watching dudes toss fish, take some an hour or two to explore the rest of this massive marketplace. Pike Place has six levels of shops, restaurants, brewpubs and produce stalls across two large buildings that are bisected by a roomy pedestrian plaza with outdoor tables for enjoying a bite when the weather cooperates. The market gets oppressively crowded on weekends, so go early if you can. There are multiple parking decks at the complex and near the waterfront, but if Uber is an option, you'll save the stress of finding a spot. No visit to Seattle is complete without a visit to Pike Place Market. Plan on spending half a day here if you want the full experience, but I found a couple hours to be enough for me. While you're in the area, walk a couple blocks over to Seattle's fabulous waterfront and stroll the pedestrian plaza for some amazing views of Puget Sound. The city's new Overlook Walk pedestrian bridge lets you move between the two without crossing busy Alaskan Way, and makes this area of downtown an incredible destination for tourists and locals alike.

I kind of thought you could buy most essentials at the airport, but it turns out children's shoes are not a typical travel need, at least when they aren't being worn by traveling children. Fireworks did carry children's slippers, which caught my eye as I passed, as well as a nice assortment of unique, crafty toys and gifts. Unfortunately, my five-year-old followed me into the store and zeroed in on a tiny, colorful finger puppet in the shape of a parrot. He asked me to buy it for him, and I declined, telling him we weren't getting a souvenir before we even left the airport. He was upset by this to the point of tears, but I managed to get us out of there. We had a wonderful time in Seattle, and to his credit, the five-year-old behaved well the whole trip (and the two-year-old got new shoes). When I saw Fireworks Gallery again by our departure gate, I decided at the last possible second to stop in and get him the parrot. It was one of several Folkmanis finger puppets in a wire basket. I picked it up along with a bunny rabbit and went to check out. There was a short line at the register--I guess this shop gets decent traffic--and by the time I was up, my husband was calling to tell me we were boarding. This is how I paid $36.36 for two finger puppets that cost $10 apiece online. Fireworks got me good, but my boys do love their little puppets, which are soft and cute and well made. The wares here are definitely nicer and less generic than at your average airport store. It might cost you, though, if you wander in there with your kids.
