Lucciano's is a gelato chain that's originally from Argentina that has since expanded to locations all over the world. This was my first time at one of their locations. The place was very clean, bright and modern and definitely conveyed their reputation of "high quality". There were well over 20 flavors on display to choose from. Some of the the more interesting flavors they had were tiramisu, hazelnut chocolate, and dulce de leche. The gelato is traditionally made and tasted very fresh and creamy. The place is not cheap, but that's to be expected from a place like this. For example, a milkshake is over $13 and a 12 oz cup is $23 (up to 3 flavors in one cup).

Fantastic gelato shop in Aventura serving up all your favorite flavors! Love to go here for a late night treat anytime I'm staying in one of the nearby hotels.

As seems to be the case with most places nowadays, the tables were dirty and everything seemed to be all over the place. We did appreciate that one of the sales associates came over to explain the whole "concept" to us and guide us through the ordering process. The whole operation is so tacky with their fake periodic table, etc, but sure, OK, let's go with it, eye roll. The ice cream situation itself, despite the whole "scientific" nitro-hoopla, is not that great, Our daughter got chocolate with gummy bears, and the chocolate was pretty melty while the (fully intact) gummy bears were hard as a rock. And the gummy bears were extra large and seemingly all orange-flavored?? Our kiddo complained that they tasted like pure orange peels, and she barely ate half of her cup. The "ubelicious" was good flavor-wise, but again, the ice cream was kinda melty and the pieces of oreo in it were massive. One of us got the biscoff, which was the thickest of the lot, but it was almost too thick that it felt like creamy cement. So, overall, nothing was quite right here. Prices are steep, and the vibe just wasn't our thing, and the ice cream wasn't anything to write home about. So, overall, meh.

The place is small with about 20 Seats inside and a half dozen or more outside. If you're not familiar with Taiwanese Ice Cream, you're in for a treat. Because I'm muy gordo I don't indulge in the Ice Cream too often but I have done "the make you own" and opted for the Black Sesame and Caramel....it was absolutely fantastic. My other go to is Pistachio Paradise with double Almond topping and Pecan Crunch rounding out the top three. My favorite things are the Savory Dishes like the Noodle Bowls, Popcorn Chicken and Savory Crepes. I've had every Noodle Bowl and Savory Crepe many times over. The service is always great, not only when you're speaking with the owner but all around, everyone is great. Whether you're looking for a dry noodle or something brothy (if that's a word) you'll find it at Sweet & Salt.

Keep an eye out for the charming blue-and-white stand topped with American flags, set back from the road, it's easy to miss, but worth seeking out. The Siciliano family has been serving the Miami community for decades. In October 1961, Louis Siciliano opened a sub shop at 711 NW 119th Street in Miami. Although the original location has since closed, the family legacy continues with Siciliano's Frozen Custard and the neighboring Sub Center and Siciliano's Subs, all operated by members of the Siciliano family. Don Drybread, Louis Siciliano's great-grandson, originally opened the custard stand as Uncle Tony's Frozen Custard before renaming it Siciliano's in honor of his mother's side of the family. Siciliano's specializes in frozen custard, which differs from traditional ice cream by containing egg yolks and being churned with less air. The result is a denser, richer, silkier dessert with a smooth texture. It's also served at a slightly warmer temperature than ice cream, allowing you to savor its rich flavor. The custard is made fresh throughout the day, ensuring the perfect consistency every time. Custard is offered in the classic flavors of vanilla, chocolate, and a twist of both, available in cups or cones with your choice of nuts, candy, fruit, or sauce toppings. The menu also features sundaes, sorbet, milkshakes, and their signature thick Hurricanes. For something a little different, Carolyn's Creations transforms the custard into treats like cannolis, dessert tacos, and ice cream sandwiches. I ordered a medium vanilla custard topped with butterscotch and it was so satisfying. The rich, creamy custard made the perfect treat on a hot summer day. There isn't any indoor seating, but there are picnic tables next to the Sub Center, which is great spot to savor your sub or custard.

When we got there we were soo excited! They let you try the different flavors in order to decide which is your favorite. The service was good. But I was a bit disappointed that they didn't put my ice cream cone under the chocolate fountain. When we were paying we stated that we wanted the chocolate from the fountain. At the end when the gentleman finished serving our scoops of ice cream, he said that wasn't on the receipt. The nice lady that rang us up said, yes she asked for the chocolate. But he had drizzled some chocolate from a bottle instead. I was a bit disappointed about that but the ice cream was still delicious. Other than that, you should totally check them out. My favorite flavors are the pistachio and tiramisu. There are soo many different options to chose from. I love that they freshly line their cones with chocolate and nuts upon ordering. Definitely top 5 ice cream spots in my book. They also have lots of chocolates that you can purchase and even the chocolate that they drizzle on top, they sell in a glass jar!!
