She went above and beyond to satisfy me even though they did not have all the toppings I wanted. The lights in this location are very bright so you can see everything clearly behind the glass. I will never complain about this ice cream in particular... Especially the birthday cake flavor which is my absolute favorite! I love to add in all the different toppings and I always go nuts and add like four different things which ends up being quite pricey because they charge you based on the amount of toppings that you add. A couple of times I have come here and, believe it or not, the AC has not been working so their ice cream has been extra soft and mushy. I'm not sure what the problem is with that... but like I said that was only twice.... which I guess is a lot lol. Overall I'll be back because I love the ice cream and vast selection of toppings. I walked in around 11/17/23 at 9:30pm with my family after watching a movie. Why not grab some ice-cream? Well, we walked in and luckily there were no customers in line but there were two young teenagers/ladies sitting ON the counter just staring at their cellphone. No acknowledgement or even a welcome. What happened to the days when you'd be greeted as soon as you'd walk in? We started looking over the menu. By the time we decided what we would like, we went in the line and waited, and waited and guess what? Those two girls were still sitting on the counter glued to their phone. I told my family we are going somewhere else. I didn't want to bother the ladies since you could tell they were very busy on their phones. We just went to the nitro ice cream just a few blocks south. I really wanted to give this location a chance. Which is why I waited for 2 visits to write this review. I initially came here 4 months ago to pick up an Oreo Cookies and Cream Extreme cake for a birthday. It was really crowded when I arrived, and it took me 20 minutes just to get to the counter and say that I'm not here to order and pay for anything, I'm here to pick up a cake paid for in advance. The staff member who received me looked confused, went to the back and came out 10 minutes later with the cake. I had asked for a Happy Birthday writing with icing, which I noticed wasn't there, and I asked if I could get a message written on it. Getting the color of icing decided ("we don't have purple") and verifying the message (Feliz Cumpleanos, hello we live in South Florida) took another 20 minutes, then the cake came out in its finished condition 10 minutes later. I can't even imagine how much longer I would've had to wait if I needed to pay for the cake at the time. I returned to this location a few days ago (it is in a convenient area) to pick up another birthday cake, in the smallest size. Even though there was barely any line this time and we counted 5 employees behind the counter, it took 15 minutes to get someone's attention to say we're there to pick up an order. All the employees made no eye contact whatsoever with the waiting patrons. 2 were making ice cream orders for the 3 people ahead of us, 1 continued to have her back to the customers by making waffle cones (uh, there were plenty already), and 2 were walking back and forth in the counter area chatting with the other employees. They did not have my order in the back, and the staff member instead went to the retail fridge and pulled out one of the cakes there. I had requested another Feliz Cumpleanos message and was told it was too small to write that long a message, so the staff member asked if I wanted to write a shorter message like HBD. We were so exasperated with the time we spent there and the rudeness of the staff that we said no to any message writing, took the cake and left. Unless I want to punish myself and have a really strong reason to get another Coldstone cake, I can't return to this location. I would advise you to stay away from it and pile store bought ice cream on top of each other and call it a cake. read more

Came on National Ice Cream Day and was not thrilled with the experience. The staff seemed bothered to have customers and reluctantly made orders. We asked for water and they told us they were out and had none. We asked for waffle cone or bowl and this too was also not available. This location is definitely a hit or miss. I've been coming here for many years and it's kind of lost its main mojo. Atmosphere: could be cleaner, ice-cream display hasn't been poppin for years. But still a good place to grab some ice-cream and catch up. Can't believe that this store located in a touristic location has such a bad service. I went with my family for ice cream and waited in line for quite some time. There were aprox 6 crews in the store, but only 2 were preparing ice creams. I ordered a new signature ice cream, that they're promoting, and the crews that were preparing ice cream said that they didn't know how to do it, so they let me waiting and a another member had to come to prepare it for me. The people working here seem to have a comprehension problem. Every time I order it's like I've asked them to do the impossible. I always like to get two flavors of ice cream, it's not a strange thing. One scoop of one flavor and one scoop of another flavor, side by side. I don't like the flavors to be blended together. So I asked for mint ice cream with marshmallows and strawberry ice cream with marshmallows and I said that I want them side by side, not blended together. Well, it's like I asked him to workout a complicated algebraic equation and he just couldn't compute. I had to explain my order no less than 4 times. At that point I couldn't think of any other way to explain what I wanted and I wasn't even sure I still wanted ice cream anymore. Finally, one of his coworkers came by, I explained my order to her and she managed to solve the complicated equation. It's always the same issue here. We usually buy the 1/2 gallon and if you're buying $15 ice cream ( bc we add plenty of mixins) you want the person making it to listen to your requests. What a mess. The place is filthy. It smells filthy. The floors have not been cleaned and or disinfected in years. THE SERVICE IS A JOKE. 7 people behind the counter and it took 20 minutes to get to the front of the line. One of the servers was on his phone while serving ice cream to somebody else. Another server has hair down her butt. Whatever happened to putting your hair up when you're serving food. May I have a scoop on a cone? Then this girl grabs a cone and goes to the back behind a door. Comes back with the cone half full stirring it. Is that my ice cream? She says yea with this shi_ face. Seriously?! I wanted to ask her why would you get my ice cream from the back room half done and walk out stirring it? place is good if your going for ice cream but if your going to order a cake take your money elsewhere. I ordered a week before pickup online for pickup at noon. called them at 11:30am to let them know would not be picking up cake till after 1 as baby was asleep. got there at 2:30pm to find out first the cake decorator was not there so they didn't have the name on it. could wait till 6pm for cake decorator to come in. told them to forget the name and just give me the cake. they then come out and proceed to tell me they don't have the cake and that I could switch it for a different one or get the smaller size. most unprofessional service ever. told them to just cancel my order and give me a refund as this was unacceptable. gentleman took down my name and phone number and its been 72 hours no refund. I knew this was going to happen hence had to reach out to bank with the receipt that I MADE him write on stating the cake was not ready and hence was not picked up. if you want an ice cream cake, do yourself a favor and head to Carvel on 163 Street. 5 minute drive and people working there are not high school kids with no sense of customer service. I remember going to a cold stone creamery many years ago when the hype was vast and the line was out the door for days on end. Surely this has changed over the years, but the great taste and creations has not. This location, in the Aventura area, is nice and easily accessible in a medium size strip mall. Parking is easy as well and the place inside is so much larger than you might think and so the searing on a hot summer day, is easy. One harp on this and many other locations it seems is the lack of accepting gift cards. We are currently holding onto a few that were gifted to us and have not been able to use these for a long time. Hope they get their act together sooner than later. The staff is friendly, which is important when there are a ton of choices for ice cream in the area and other tasty treats. Prices are ok for what you get, but if you create your own creation, it'll cost more than I feel is worth. I give cold stone a measly three stars as the idea has become a bit old to me and while the flavors are vast and nice, more low sugar or no sugar options would be nice.
